Radical plans for Inter Miami's new stadium revealed

Fans of Inter Miami received a survey this week to get their opinions about which ticket prices they’d be willing to pay for an assortment of reserved seating as well as VIP seats and other options. The club was quick to note that the survey is for research purposes.

Under current plans, the entire length of one of the sides of the field at Miami Freedom Park is 100% reserved for premium seats. Those include club seating, group seating, and suites. For the entire length of a soccer sideline to be reserved exclusively for premium seats is extremely uncommon.

While prices are for research purposes to gauge which options fans are willing to pay, a season ticket with “Club Lounge” access ranged from $6,400 to $23,150 each, which includes access to the club lounge plus food and beverage.

For reserved seats, season tickets range from $1,000 to $3,875 each.

An email from Inter Miami said that the purpose of the survey was to collect “the thoughts and opinions regarding potential ticket offerings, pricing, and packaging.”

Background on Miami Freedom Park

In August 2023, Inter Miami broke ground on Miami Freedom Park, which will be Lionel Messi’s new home in 2025.

The club released a statement confirming the news at the time. “Inter Miami CF today announced that construction began on Miami Freedom Park earlier this month.

“The Inter Miami CF stadium, 58-acre public park, and entertainment district at Miami Freedom Park are scheduled to open in 2025. The official groundbreaking ceremony will take place later this year.

“Miami Freedom Park is a 131-acre development anchored by a new 25,000-seat futbol specific stadium.”

The Major League Soccer ( MLS ) team is moving from Fort Lauderdale to construct a new venue near Miami International Airport. David Beckham and the club’s board have long aimed to build a cutting-edge stadium reflecting the franchise’s future aspirations.

Inter Miami’s private owners are fully supporting the development of Miami Freedom Park by investing money into its development. On top of that, Vice City anticipates over $40 million in annual tax income from the site.

It will also provide 15,000 employment opportunities, both directly and indirectly. The Inter Miami faithful will continue to use DRV PNK Stadium as their home game venue.

The moniker comes from a sponsorship agreement with AutoNation, a Fort Lauderdale-based car store actively involved in cancer research and treatment drives.

What are the season ticket prices?

This week, Inter Miami sent their supporters a poll asking them to rate various types of reserved seating, VIP seats, and other alternatives based on their willingness to pay.

Interestingly, this survey is only for academic reasons, as the club was careful to point out. Per Inter Miami’s email, they wanted to get “the thoughts and opinions regarding potential ticket offerings, pricing, and packaging”.

The present layout of Miami Freedom Park has luxury seats all the way along one side of the field. Suites, group seats, and club seating are all part of this category. Rarely does a soccer sideline have luxury seats that stretch the whole length of the field.

Miami will use these prices to see what kinds of alternatives fans are ready to pay for in their study. However, season tickets that come with “Club Lounge” access—which includes food and drink—cost anywhere from $6,400 to $23,150 per person.

Prices for season tickets with reserved seats start at $1,000 and go up to $3,875. On the other hand, the uncolored areas depict the premium seat sections.

Stadium to offer more amenities

The new Inter Miami stadium will be located in a 58-acre park that will also serve as a community center and include soccer and child sporting grounds. Office space, a hotel, stores, and restaurants will house just some of the commercial and leisure options there.

The project team includes Miami-based architectural companies Arquitectonica and Manica, worldwide businesses that design arenas and stadiums. In addition, there is also CAA Icon, a corporation that manages large-scale stadium projects.

Additional retail, hotel, and commercial stages will be delivered through 2030 at Miami Freedom Park. That is especially after the completion of the stadium and the first retail and entertainment services in 2025.

Inter Miami's new home: Close look at construction progress

C onstruction is making progress at Miami Freedom Park, the future home of MLS side Inter Miami. The stadium is still scheduled to open later in the 2025 season when Lionel Messi plays the final season of his contract in Major League Soccer . While the physical construction of the 25,000-seat stadium has not yet started, crews are getting ready.

Futbol Miami TV , an Inter Miami fan show that posts regular updates of the stadium, captured the upcoming ground the stadium will sit on. The land is fully cleared out. Also, crews flattened the land to begin stadium construction soon. Still, there is no equipment or materials present at Miami Freedom Park. Instead, it appears as if crews only just finished the remediation of the land.

Miami Freedom Park is located at a former golf course near the Miami International Airport. The land was rife with ponds, sand bunkers and chemicals from maintaining the golf course. Now, a large flat land of sand is ready to house a stadium.

Will construction progress for Inter Miami be ready by next season?

One of the main concerns with Miami Freedom Park is the pace at which the stadium is going up. Generally, stadium construction takes multiple years. To be fair, that does incorporate planning and land clearing, which Inter Miami has already done. However, the lack of visible structures is a major stepping stone for the construction of the new Inter Miami stadium. One common theme in construction is that MLS stadiums often extend past their construction timeline. Orlando City’s Inter&Co Stadium, TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, and others all experienced delays.

With such big plans in store for Miami Freedom Park, more construction progress will need to start taking shape if Messi is going to play regularly at the venue.

Other parts of the plan

The stadium is not the only part of the project that has a base for future construction. Futbol Miami TV pointed out that the area for a hotel or office building is also flat enough to begin building. Yet, like the stadium, there is no equipment or materials that will eventually go toward the stadium.

Lionel Messi will hopefully be bringing excitement to this venue, and that is why it is so important for the stadium to be completed soon. The Argentine has just one year left on his current Inter Miami contract. While it may be a priority for the club to sign Messi to a new deal , there are no guarantees he does that. Therefore, if the stadium opens near the end of 2025, he would only have a handful of games at the new stadium. If there are delays, the number of games available for Miami at this new stadium with Messi in attendance will be limited.

Messi caught criticizing MLS rule on Apple broadcast and more from Inter Miami’s 3-2 win over Montreal

Messi caught criticizing MLS rule on Apple broadcast and more from Inter Miami’s 3-2 win over Montreal

Inter Miami ’s 3-2 win over CF Montreal on Saturday night was a now typical Inter Miami performance: it was another comeback win. After conceding the first two goals of the match, Miami once again battled back to claim victory in Messi’s first match on Canadian soil. It was Miami’s fifth consecutive win after conceding first, a trend that has defined the first part of the team’s 2024 season. It’s also Miami’s first time winning five consecutive MLS games in club history.

New MLS rules unnerve Messi, Martino and SuĂĄrez

In April, MLS implemented a series of new in-game rules that are beginning to make headlines. An in-stadium VAR announcement from seasoned referee Ismail Elfath went viral last week. In Montreal, what MLS has called the Off-Field Treatment Rule and Timed Substitution Rule rankled the league’s premier club.

How MLS Next Pro is cutting down on time-wasting

After Messi took a studs-up tackle from Montreal center back George Campbell late in the first half, the Argentine was treated on the field by Miami’s medical staff. Campbell did not receive a yellow card for the challenge and Messi eventually walked off the field, but was then visibly agitated when the fourth official kept him on the sideline for two minutes. According to MLS, the new Off-Field Treatment Rule requires that players “remain off the field for a minimum of two minutes for further assessment and treatment.”

But Messi was itching to get back on the field. When Inter Miami earned a free kick just outside the Montreal penalty area (an ideal spot for a left-footed player), Messi turned toward a sideline camera, shook his head and seemed to say, “If they make rules like these
we are doing badly.” Matías Rojas stepped up for Messi and calmly placed the free kick in the upper right corner of the Montreal net.

..we are doing badly." đŸ—Łïž pic.twitter.com/dDBw15vHSU — All About Argentina đŸ›ŽđŸ‡ŠđŸ‡· (@AlbicelesteTalk) May 12, 2024

Later, Suárez was substituted in the 90th minute, but he did not exit the pitch in less than 10 seconds. The Timed Substitution Rule stipulates the following: “Failure to exit from any point on the field within the 10 seconds will cause the incoming player to wait for a 60-second holding period, before entering the game at the next stoppage. During the holding period and prior to the substitute entering, the team will play down a player. Exceptions to the rule include injury and goalkeeper substitutions.”

After the match, Martino told reporters his thoughts on the rule changes.

“Leo was fouled and (Campbell) should’ve received a yellow card, which would have negated the need for Leo to leave for two minutes,” said Martino. “To me, the team that suffered the infraction was punished. Evidently with these new rules there will be situations that need to be analyzed. It was a clear yellow-card infraction and then we lost Leo for two minutes.”

SuĂĄrez had to be held back by Martino from confronting the fourth official, but Martino called it a misunderstanding between his staff and that official. Although Martino thought that SuĂĄrez had one minute to leave the pitch rather than 10 seconds.

Rojas continues to shine

The Paraguayan international’s impressive free kick while Messi watched from the touchline will get plenty of attention.

With Montreal’s midfield and backline focused on Messi, Rojas became Inter Miami’s playmaker. Rojas and Messi are attracting a lot of attention from the opposition, which in this case, allowed Cremaschi to make an unmarked run through the middle and finish.

tour inter miami stadium

Rojas is a versatile midfielder who excels in the final third. He’s been a needed addition for Martino, a manager who is very well versed in the strengths of Paraguayan players. From 2002 to 2006, Martino won four first division titles with two or Paraguay’s biggest clubs, Libertad and Cerro Porteño. He was instrumental in Paraguayan Miguel AlmirĂłn ’s decision to sign with Atlanta United in 2016. Two years later, AlmirĂłn would become the most expensive sale in league history.

During his introductory press conference two weeks ago, Rojas told reporters in Fort Lauderdale that he had received interest from Boca Juniors. “It’s an extraordinary club but I was already planning my career somewhere else,” explained Rojas.

He didn’t mention Martino, but it’s safe to assume that a phone call from Martino still carries a lot of weight in South America, particularly in Paraguay.

Martino takes the blame for slow start

Inter Miami coach Tata Martino previously addressed his side’s propensity to start slow. It’s been discussed and repeated during team meetings, Martino said last week, but the solution isn’t as tangible.

“It cannot always be analyzed from the same angle. Sometimes the other team makes plays,” Martino said after the match. “Obviously it’s preferred that we score first and then manage the game from there. Tonight’s circumstances were different from the previous instances.”

Martino, however, placed the blame for Saturday’s early two-goal deficit on himself. Inter Miami started in a 5-3-2, which Martino said was to push the team’s lines forward and press Montreal higher up the field. Instead, Montreal found space on the wings and counter-attacked Inter Miami with ease. After Montreal’s second goal, Martino switched Inter Miami’s formation to a 4-4-2. This season, Inter Miami has been most effective in a back-four.

“I shouldn’t modify the way the team plays,” said Martino. “We feel comfortable playing one specific way. I modified the team tonight to match what I felt were Montreal’s strengths. When we went back to the 4-4-2, that was us.”

Luckily for Martino, Inter Miami is led by Lionel Messi and Luis SuĂĄrez . The Uruguayan scored his 11th goal in first-half added time, which leveled the score at 2-2 before the break. Inter Miami academy product Benjamin Cremaschi scored what would be the winner in the 59th minute. Messi, though, was kept off the score sheet after his record-breaking performance last weekend versus the New York Red Bulls , snapping his seven-match MLS scoring streak.

The Argentina captain couldn’t replicate five assists and one goal against Montreal, but the 36-year-old was active in the attack throughout the match, despite the injury scare.

Inter Miami remains atop the Eastern Conference standings on 27 points from 13 games. They’ve scored 35 goals and conceded 20.

Lionel Messi dominates with two goals to lead Inter Miami past New England Revolution 4-1

tour inter miami stadium

Lionel Messi took over New England on Saturday night, putting on a show in front of more fans than the Patriots had in attendance in any game last season.

Messi scored two goals to become the MLS scoring leader and added an assist to lead Inter Miami to a 4-1 victory over the New England Revolution at Gillette Stadium.

Messi, the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner and World Cup champion, helped the Revolution set a club attendance record with 65,612 fans, in what was the second-most attended soccer match at Robert Kraft’s stadium, home of the Patriots.

Messi waved to the crowd in the 86 th minute, during an injury stoppage shortly before the game went final, and on his way toward the locker rooms after a dominant performance.

“I thought they were able to find two goals when we felt pretty good about the defending that we were limiting their effectiveness, creating clear chances,” New England coach Caleb Porter said. “That’s Messi. He finds two goals out of nowhere, and it exposes the detail in those moments from us.”

Although New England’s Tomás Chancalay scored less than 40 seconds into the match, Messi came to Inter Miami’s rescue like he often has since joining the MLS club last July.

Messi scored in the 32 nd minute less than 10 feet from the net to tie the match before halftime, and received a pass from Sergio Busquets inside the box in the 68 th minute to help Inter Miami take a 2-1 lead.

Messi finished with a brace to make nine goals scored in MLS games this season, edging Real Salt Lake star Chicho Arango, who scored his eighth goal earlier in the day.

Messi did contest for a hat trick in the 83rd minute. Although his shot was deflected, midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi cleaned up the rebound to score his first goal of the season in his third match back from sports hernia surgery.

Messi finished the match with an assist in the 88 th minute to close friend Luis Suárez, who entered in the 63 rd minute and played on New England’s artificial turf despite a history of knee injuries in his career.

Messi’s assist made MLS history, as he became the first player to have a goal and assist in five consecutive matches.

Inter Miami increased its lead in the MLS Eastern Conference to 21 points with the victory.

“People in every stadium come to see Leo, that’s true. But they want their team to win,” Inter Miami coach Tata Martino said. “We are motivated by the atmosphere we find.”

The match will go down in Gillette Stadium’s history books behind the most attended soccer match, when Brazil beat Mexico 3-1 during an international friendly in front of 67,584 fans on Sept. 12, 2007.

Luis Suárez goal: Inter Miami 4, New England 1

Luis Suárez adds a goal in the 88th minute, on an assist from Messi to take a commanding lead.

Benjamin Cremaschi goal: Inter Miami 3, New England 1

This one is over, and Lionel Messi nearly notched a hat trick.

Messi fired a shot from Mathias Rojas toward the middle of the net, which was blocked by Revolution goalie Henrich Ravas.

But midfielder Benjamin Cremaschi cleaned up the rebound in the 83rd minute with his first goal of the season in his third match back from sports hernia surgery.

Messi scores second goal: Inter Miami 2, New England 1

Messi could only grin as he hugged his teammates in celebration.

Messi received a pass from Sergio Busquets inside the box, and sent it toward the right side of the net to help Inter Miami take a 2-1 lead in the 68 th minute.

Messi, Inter Miami break New England Revolution attendance record

With an announced crowd of 65,612 fans, the New England Revolution have a new attendance record thanks to Lionel Messi and Inter Miami.

It's the second-largest crowd for a soccer match in Gillette Stadium history, trailing only an international friendly between Brazil and Mexico in front of 67,584 fans on Sept. 12, 2007. Brazil won 3-1.

The total is also more than any New England Patriots game during the 2023 NFL season.

Messi scores goal: New England 1, Inter Miami 1

Messi has found the back of the net for his eighth goal of the MLS season.

Robert Taylor found Messi inside the goal area, and the World Cup champion delivered a left boot less than 10 feet from the net to tie this match at 1 in the 32nd minute.

Messi misses shot on goal in 29’: New England 1, Inter Miami 0

Messi appeared to force the issue as Inter Miami lacked any real shot attempt on goal toward the net. He found some space and fired a right boot toward the net.

However, it was an easy save for Revolution goalie Henrich Ravas.

15’ update: New England 1, Inter Miami 0

Inter Miami has had only one possession near the net in the first 14 minutes of this match, but to no avail. The possession started with Messi clearing the ball around midfield, but his teammates were unable to even get a shot off.

Outside of the first goal, possession has traded sides mostly in the midfield.

Tomás Chancalay goal: New England 1, Inter Miami 0

Inter Miami goalie Drake Callender veered too far from the net in the opening minute, and New England's Tomás Chancalay made them pay with an assist from Carles Gil.

Will Messi, Inter Miami set New England Revolution attendance record?

New England fans may be happy about new Patriots quarterbacks Drake Maye and Joe Milton, but their attention will be focused on another sport tonight.

More than 64,000 fans are expected in attendance on Saturday to see the GOAT – Messi, not Tom Brady – play on the home field of the NFL’s New England Patriots. Messi and Inter Miami are expected to help the Revolution set a new club attendance record.

The game is expected to set a team attendance record for the Revolution, and potentially be one of the top three most attended soccer matches in Gillette Stadium’s 23-year history.

Inter Miami enters the New England match ranked first in the MLS Eastern Conference and needing to accumulate as many points as possible before Messi departs for Copa America 2024 with Argentina this summer.

The previous high was 57,407 on April 20, 1997 against the Tampa Bay Mutiny, the same day of a FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Mexico and the United States.

It could also contend for second-most attended soccer match at Gillette Stadium.

Here are the Top 3 most attended soccer games at Gillette Stadium:

Oct. 20, 2022 : The 2002 MLS Cup final between New England and L.A. Galaxy drew 61,316 fans. The Galaxy won 1-0 when Carlos Ruiz ended the game with a golden goal in the 113 th  minute.

June 4, 2011:  Spain beat the United States 4-0 during an international friendly in front of 64,121 fans.

Sept. 12, 2007:  Brazil beat Mexico 3-1 in an international friendly with 67,584 fans in attendance to set the record.

Two weeks ago, Messi and Inter Miami packed Arrowhead Stadium for a thrilling 3-2 win over Sporting Kansas City in front of 72,610 fans. It was the most-attended soccer match in Missouri and the third-most attended MLS game in history.

Inter Miami 6-2 New York Red Bulls: Player Ratings as Messi Grabs Five Assists

Max mallow | may 4, 2024.

Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez celebrate a massive win over New York Red Bulls.

Lionel Messi grabbed five assists and Luis Suarez bagged a hat trick to propel Inter Miami to a dominant 6-2 triumph over New York Red Bulls at Chase Stadium.

Miami were eager to get things started to avenge their 4-0 defeat back in March at Red Bull Arena when New York ran rampant as Drake Callender and Lionel Messi were unavailable for selection.

After a rather dull 28 minutes to start the contest, the visiting Red Bulls struck first in transition. Emil Forsberg sliced the Miami defense in half with an exquisite outside-of-the-foot pass into Wikelman Carmona’s path. Carmona’s effort was kept out by Callender at first, but Dante Vanzeir’s follow-up shot from around the penalty spot gave New York the lead.

In the first half, the Herons tiptoed around the New York penalty area and found themselves in good shooting positions but took too long to pull the trigger. That changed at the start of the second 45 when Matias Rojas was substituted on for David Ruiz.

The legendary Messi was barreling down the right-wing before he cut inside on his favored left foot to find Rojas, who danced past a couple of Red Bulls defenders and blasted a shot into the far-right corner past Carlos Coronel to score his first goal as a Miami player.

The hosts then turned the game on its head just a couple of minutes later after a turnover by Red Bulls. Rojas was involved yet again, as his pressing helped turn the ball over near the Red Bulls’ penalty area into Luis Suarez’s path. Suarez looked up to find his best friend Messi and played the Argentine through on goal, and Miami’s No. 10 scored his 10th goal of the 2024 MLS season to put Miami in front for the first time in the game.

Miami went on to find their third goal of the night with Messi linking up Rojas once more. Messi played the former Corinthians player through on goal with a clever pass that fooled everyone on the pitch other than Rojas, who chipped Coronel with ease to secure his brace.

Gerardo “Tata” Martino’s side just couldn’t be stopped as Messi grabbed his third assist of the night to make it 4-1 in favor of the Herons. The former Barcelona and PSG figure teed up an inviting cross that Suarez latched on to to increase the hosts’ advantage.

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER đŸ€© pic.twitter.com/dxwdVoTM2y — Inter Miami CF (@InterMiamiCF) May 5, 2024

Suarez decided that he wanted to grab another goal as he and Messi raced forward at the tired Red Bull defense. Messi combined with Suarez for a quick-one-two and the Uruguayan made no mistake in front of goal.

The ex-Atletico Madrid player capped off his hat trick with a delicate finish from a tight angle to make it 6-1 for Miami. It was once again the Messi-Suarez connection that Red Bulls fans will probably have come to despise after watching the game. Messi combined with Suarez with a simple outside-of-the-foot pass to send the Liverpool icon through on goal to set a new record for assists in an MLS match with five helpers.

Emil Forsberg managed to pull one back in stoppage time for New York after Marcelo “Chelo” Weigandt stepped on John Tolkin’s left foot in his own penalty area. The former RB Leipzig player converted the penalty with ease but it was of course too little, too late as the game ended 6-2 in favor of the Herons.

The resounding victory saw Miami gain a foothold on the top of the Eastern Conference standings. Martino’s side have now collected 24 points from 12 matches played, while New York drop to fourth place in the division with 17 points from 11 matches played.

Inter Miami player ratings ( 4-3-3 )

GK: Drake Callender - 6/10 - The lone goal conceded wasn’t his fault entirely as he did manage to keep out Carmona’s effort and he can’t help that Freire decided to assist Aviles in marking the same player leading up to the goal.

RB: Marcelo Weigandt - 5/10 - Struggled defensively in the first half but managed to turn things around after the halftime break. Ended the night in poor fashion with a clumsy challenge in stoppage time that resulted in a converted penalty for Red Bulls.

CB: Tomas Aviles - 7/10 - One of Miami’s best performers on the night as he kept them in the contest with several last-ditch tackles and challenges.

CB: Nicolas Freire - 6/10 - Was pulled way out of position for New York’s opening goal.

LB: Franco Negri - 6/10 - A quiet night overall from the veteran full-back.

CM: Julian Gressel - 6/10 - Showed off his impressive passing range here and there but nothing much to write home about.

CM: Sergio Busquets - 8/10 - Another timeless performance from the veteran midfielder against the dynamic pairing of Frankie Amaya and Daniel Edelman.

CM: David Ruiz - 7/10 - Displayed great anticipation with a few well-timed challenges in the first half. Unfortunate to be hooked for Rojas at the start of the second half.

RW: Lionel Messi - 10/10 - Perhaps his best showing in a Miami shirt even though he only managed to find the back of the net once. His five assists set a new record for most in an MLS match and he’ll no doubt be the MVP frontrunner after this week’s matches – if he already wasn’t the frontrunner, that is.

ST: Luis Suarez - 9/10 - A clinical outing from the legendary forward as he bagged his first hat trick as a Heron.

LW: Robert Taylo r - 7/10 - Had a few nice moments here and there in the attack as he continues to regain sharpness

Substitutes

SUB: Matias Rohas (46’ for Ruiz) - 9/10 - Came on and instantly changed the game with a perfect strike from distance to level the score.

SUB: Benjamin Cremaschi (66’ for Taylor) - 7/10 - Played his part in setting up Suarez’s first goal of the night.

SUB: Yannick Bright (66’ for Gressel) - 6/10 - The player neither helped nor hindered his side.

SUB: Leo Campana (84’ for Suarez) - N/A

SUB: Noah Allen (84’ for Negri) - N/A

Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino - 9/10 - A slow start occurred once again for his team, but that clearly didn’t affect them as they went on to put six past Coronel. His decision to bring on Rojas was a masterstroke, and Miami continue to look like the best team in MLS and are capable of flipping the switch in a moment’s notice to go all-out in attack.

MONTREAL (AP) — Lionel Messi and Inter Miami had an injury scare Saturday night.

Messi, the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner as the world’s best player, briefly left Inter Miami’s match at Montreal late in the first half after evidently having some sort of issue with his left knee.

Messi was hurt in the 40th minute on a play near midfield. He was fouled by Montreal defender George Campbell and went down immediately, holding his knee and writhing in pain. Inter Miami’s medical staff went onto the field to treat Messi, who got up after about two minutes and walked to the Miami sideline.

Messi was not subbed out, which allowed him a chance to return moments later.

Inter Miami trailed 2-0 when Messi got hurt. Inter Miami cut the deficit to 2-1 shortly after Messi departed — Matías Rojas getting a goal off a free kick, a shot that Messi surely would have taken had he been in the match at the time. Messi rejoined play a couple minutes later and was on the field when Luis Suarez’s goal late in first-half stoppage time pulled Inter Miami into a 2-2 tie at intermission.

The match marked the first time Messi — who had scored in 31 countries entering Saturday — played in Canada. Hundreds of fans greeted Inter Miami when the team arrived at its hotel on Friday night and Montreal, in part because of Messi joining Major League Soccer last summer, sold out its 15,000 season tickets for the first time since the club joined MLS in 2012.

CF Montreal vs. Inter Miami CF picks and predictions

Inter Miami 3, CF Montreal 1

Moneyline  (ML)

BET INTER MIAMI (-125) .

While Montreal has yet to lose at home, it certainly hasn’t dominated. It drew Orlando City 2-2 and beat FC Cincinnati 2-1, respectively, having as many and 0.1 more expected goals in those battles. Montreal beat Inter 3-2 earlier in the season, so Miami likely has that tucked in the back of its head.

Inter has won 4 straight games, all of which Messi has captained. Inter is 6-1-0 in games Messi captained. With the superstar set to be in the lineup, the road side should again come out strong. Take INTER MIAMI (-125) .

Over/Under  (O/U)

BET OVER 3.5 (+130) .

Inter Miami has gone Over in this total in 5 straight games and has topped it in 9 of their last 10. Inter has tallied at least 3 goals on its own in 4 straight games and has scored 24 goals in the 7 games Messi has captained the roster.

Montreal’s defense won’t put up much resistance, having allowed 12 goals in its last 5 games. Montreal has even gone Over this total in 3 of its last 5 games.

Considering the way both sides have played this season, back OVER 3.5 (+130) .
