Katy Perry MSG 2

Perry performing at Madison Square Garden in New York in July 2014

Katy first teased the tour during her "We Can Survive" event at the Hollywood Bowl on October 23, 2013, where she encouraged fans to see her on her 2014 tour, stating that it would be "magical". [14] She told Entertainment Weekly that "The tour is going to be fantastic. I always try to take it to the next level. I think people will realize what the tour is going to be like when they listen to the music." She also emphasized that she would be "very close" to the audience during the tour. [15] At the 2013 MTV Europe Music Awards, Perry said the show would be "less cartoony" than the California Dreams Tour and would be a "feast for your eyes". [16] In a December 2013 interview with Capital FM, Perry stated that the tour has a less of a storyline than her previous endeavors, saying:

"I'm going to bring all the bells and whistles like it was last time but it won't be so highly narrated. I just want a little bit more room to express myself." She further elaborated, saying "I'm just really excited. I just did a big tour meeting yesterday and saw the graphic drawing of the stage and it's unlike anything I've seen for any other artist and it's unlike anything I've ever done. It's different, it's fresh, it's clean and it's actually in the middle of the audience." [17]

Perry announced the tour on November 18, 2013 via Twitter. She announced the first leg taking place in Northern Ireland, Scotland and England along with Icona Pop as the opening act. According to the official press release, the tour is designed to be a "multi-faceted spectacular" and will include a special standing pit around the stage called "The Reflection Section" that will allow Katy to be "closer than ever to her fans." The first leg took place in May 2014. [18] The second leg was announced on January 15, 2014, consisting of concerts in Canada and the United States. Concerts in Mexico were later announced in March 2014. The leg ran from June to October 2014. Ferras opened for Perry in all of the United States and Canadian dates, [19] as well as Capital Cities , Kacey Musgraves , duo Tegan and Sara , [20] and Becky G , [21] who all opened in different markets. Becky G also opened in Mexico. [21] The third leg, consisting of shows in Oceania, was announced in February 2014. [22] Betty Who served as opening act from November 7 through 28, while Tove Lo opened the show from November 30 until the end of the leg on December 20. [23] The fourth leg was announced via Twitter on June 2, 2014. [24] [25] It is scheduled to take place from February to March 2015 through Europe, and Charli XCX will open the shows. [26] [27] The fifth leg of the tour, consisting of 12 shows, will take place in Asia between April and May 2015. [28] [29] On March 8, 2015, Perry announced the sixth leg, which will take place in South America starting in October. [30]

Fashion [ ]

Ten days before the tour was scheduled to commence, Perry began to reveal her collaborators for the tour. Each day, she posted an outfit design to her official Instagram account. The first outfit revealed was a haute couture dress designed by Italian fashion house Valentino, worn during the third act. [31] The second outfit revealed was a blue Roberto Cavalli dress. [32] The following day, Perry revealed a Moschino smiley face-themed outfit consisting of a pair of peace-sign emblazoned leggings, a biker jacket, a bralette bustier, and a pencil skirt, all with strategically placed smileys, designed by Jeremy Scott. [33] On April 30, she continued her countdown confirming that Nicolas Jebran had contributed an outfit for the tour. On May 1, Perry confirmed that she would wear a pink leopard print catsuit during the CAT-OUR section of the show, designed by The Blonds. [34] The next day, it was announced that Italian designer Fausto Puglisi had designed the Egyptian-themed outfit for the second act. [35] On May 3, Perry unveiled sketches of her one-piece outfit to be worn during her performance of " Birthday " on the tour. The outfit was dubbed her "Birthday Suit" and designed by Discount Universe. [36] On May 4, she revealed that Todd Thomas had contributed a dress to the tour's wardrobe. [37] On May 5, Perry released an image of a yin-yang dress designed by friend and former America's Next Top Model creative director Johnny Wujek alongside celebrity styling brand Marco Marco. [38] The final outfit revealed on May 6 was a sparkling bodysuit created by Parisian designer Alexis Mabille. [39] During the Asia leg of her tour, Katy added to her wardrobe with her wearing a purple leatoard and boots with light-up cat eyes on her chest for the prismatic section, a neon paint-splattered dress with the dancers wearing neon paint splattered outfits for the hyper neon section, a golden sparkling dress with sunflowers placed on the dress for the acoustic section, and a pink and yellow two-piece designed by Nicolas Jebran for the throwback section which she wore during her performance at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend. For her show in Lima, Peru, Katy mostly stuck to a single hairstyle which was a plain, dark ponytail but the costumes remained the same..

Concert synopsis [ ]

Act 1 — prismatic [ ].

The show begins with dancers emerging on stage dressed as warriors, wearing neon clothing and holding spears. An area of the stage moves to form a pyramid, from which Perry emerges wearing a Roberto Cavalli-designed top and skirt, with both her clothes and hair featuring color-changing lights. Perry performs " Roar ", and towards the end of the number, the lights go out as she and the dancers skip using light-up ropes. Perry then performs " Part of Me " before singing a dubstep version of " Wide Awake ", during which a triangular section of the stage rises and rotates in the air. She then performs " This Moment ", which transforms into " Love Me " shortly afterwards.

Act 2 — Egyptian [ ]

A short video plays on the screens, featuring a narration by Perry regarding ancient civilisations and their views of the stars and space. Perry appears on stage on top of a mechanical horse, operated by dancers standing underneath. During this section of the tour, she wears an Egyptian-themed outfit that reads "Pharest of them all", a pun on the Egyptian word "pharaoh", which was designed by Fausto Puglisi. [35] Perry performs " Dark Horse ", before moving on to " E.T. ". A large diamond-shaped structure descends from the ceiling during the number, from which Perry is lifted into the air. " Legendary Lovers " is then performed, followed by " I Kissed a Girl ", which features dancers dressed as mummies with excessively large breasts and buttocks. During the song's close, the guitar players rise into the air as their guitars shoot sparks and pyrotechnics explode.

Act 3 — Cat-Oure [ ]

A video interlude shows a cat being transported from the Pyramids of Giza to "Kittywood", where it enjoys day-to-day activities. At the end of the video, multiple cats fill a theatre to watch a performance by "Kitty Purry". Perry emerges on top of a large ball of wool wearing a catsuit created by design team The Blonds, accompanied by her dancers wearing similar cat costumes. [34] A jazz version of " Hot N Cold " is then performed, before Perry begins to perform " International Smile ". Towards the end of the song, Madonna's "Vogue" begins to play. Perry and her dancers, all dressed as cats, walk down one side of the triangular stage wearing various cat-related items. The rest of "International Smile" is then performed, before Perry exits the stage. The dancers then enact a short scene in which the cats chase a mouse.

Act 4 — Acoustic [ ]

At the end of the stage, instruments and microphones are arranged and decorated with sunflowers. Perry re-enters, wearing a butterfly-themed dress and cape designed by Valentino, [31] and performs multiple songs acoustically, the first being " By the Grace of God ". She performs a mash-up of " The One That Got Away " and " Thinking of You " while playing the guitar, before performing " Double Rainbow " (before the London show on May 30, 2014). Finally, there is a performance of " Unconditionally ", throughout which dancers wave large butterflies on stage.

Act 5 — Throw Back [ ]

PWT Prudential Center 13

At the beginning of this section, there is a "Megamix Dance Party", performed by the dancers and backing singers, which is a mix of a selection of songs. Perry arrives on stage wearing a top, skirt and leggings featuring smiling faces and peace symbols designed by Jeremy Scott for Moschino. [33] She performs " Walking on Air ", and rises from the ground and into the air during the song. Perry then changes into a yin-yang dress designed by stylist Johnny Wujek, alongside celebrity styling brand Marco Marco, [38] to sing " It Takes Two ". To close this section of the tour, a mash-up of " This Is How We Do " and " Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) " is performed as Perry and her dancers ride an inflatable car on stage.

Act 6 — Hyper Neon [ ]

A video interlude is played, which shows Perry as a mental patient in a triangular padded cell. She scrapes her nails along the walls, causing colored paint to pour out. Perry tastes the colored paint and allows it to fall out of her mouth, before paint splashes from all areas of the room. The lights go out in the cell and the paint glows in the dark, before she falls into a pool of pink paint at the end of the video. During the interlude, a remix of " Peacock " plays. On stage, Perry wears a bra and skirt decorated with palm tree leaves as she performs " Teenage Dream ". " California Gurls " is then performed as dancers move letters that eventually recreate the Hollywood Sign. Perry exits the stage before re-emerging to sing "Birthday", wearing a one-piece outfit named the "Birthday Suit" and designed by Discount Universe. [36] During the performance, Perry brings a member of the audience whose birthday is near the show's date on stage, and they sit on a throne on top of a rotating birthday cake. Perry flies across the audience while confetti and balloons descend upon the crowd; she then exits the stage.

For the encore, an interlude called "Prism-Vision" is played, where the audience are encouraged to wear special rainbow-star diffraction glasses bought before the show or given away by the dancers during the interlude to magnify the visual effects of the performance. Perry then re-enters the stage wearing a firework-themed dress designed by Todd Thomas to perform " Firework ". [37] During the song's climax, multiple fireworks explode on stage before Perry thanks the audience and ends the show, exiting through the pyramid from which she entered the stage from at the beginning.

Commercial performance [ ]

The first leg attracted high public demand, resulting in additional shows in Belfast, Glasgow and London being announced within hours of tickets being released on general sale. [40] Soon after, Perry added extra dates in Manchester and Birmingham. [41] Extra dates in the United States and Canada were also added to the second leg of her tour shortly after the leg's first announcement. [42] Due to vast popularity during the pre-sale period, Perry added more shows to the Oceania leg [22] in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, extending the leg to December. [43] Jesse Lawrence from Forbes reported on the North American leg of the tour, saying that her ticket sales averaged at $252.60 on the secondary market throughout the five-month stint in the country. His analysis concluded that the average price was higher than that of her peers, such as Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, adding "with Prismatic holding one of the highest tour average prices of the summer, the secondary market won't have many dates dropping below a $200 average price." [44]

On Pollstar's Mid Year Top 100 Worldwide Tours list, released in July 2014 and ranking tours up until that date, the Prismatic World Tour ranked at number 26 with $22 million in grosses and 249,716 tickets sold for 22 shows so far. [45] The Prismatic World Tour topped the Billboard Hot Tours weekly recap the week of September 18. The tour topped the chart with $31 million in ticket sales from 21 of the tour's North American concerts that occurred in a two-month span beginning on July 15. [46] In Australia, the tour sold more than 350,000 tickets across 23 dates. It broke the record for most tickets sold at the Allphones Arena, selling a total of 89,500 tickets spanning six shows. Paul Dainty of Dainty Group, the promoters of the Australian leg, stated that ticket demand was so high "we could have added another dozen shows everywhere easily." [47]

Critical reception [ ]

Colin Stutz of Billboard called the performance a "spectacle of costumes and colors", and noted a surprise mashup of Perry's "International Smile" with Madonna's "Vogue". [48] Julian Douglas from the The Irish Times wrote that Perry "entertained, thrilled, and serenaded" and "oozed professionalism" despite feeling "under the weather". [49] Emilee Lindner from MTV News felt Perry lived up to her previous "promise" of making the concert a "feast for your eyes and for your Instagram", and noted a recurring cat-theme within the show. [50] Mike Wass from Idolator praised the show's costumes and dubbed the show a "candy-colored visual extravaganza". [51] Alexander Martin writing for The Journal gave the performance in Newcastle four out of five star calling the tour a "visual extravaganza" and complimented Perry's vocal performances during the acoustic portion of her set. [52] Mike Atkinson from the Nottingham Post stated that "no one else at the top of their game in contemporary pop is working it as hard as Katy Perry right now," calling Perry a "reign[ing] supreme," and complimented the tour's visuals. [53] Neil Elkes writing for the Coventry Telegraph gave the performance in Birmingham four out of four stars, noting the show was "loud and brash with production values as impressive as the string of hits which followed one after another." [54] In a review of the one of the Glasgow shows, Matthew Magee from The Daily Telegraph awarded the tour four out of five stars, stating that Perry "made the kind of natural connection with her Glasgow audience that her peers would die for." [55] Richard Clayton of Financial Times gave the show an excellent review, awarding five out of five stars, and described it as "sonically stonking, visually spectacular and fun, fun, fun." [56] In a review for Daily Express , Hannah Britt commented: "Eye-wateringly colourful and relentlessly energetic, it was kitsch, camp and a whole lot of fun" and described Perry's vocals as "on point." [57] However, in a review of the same show, Daisy Wyatt from The Independent criticized Perry's vocal ability and stage presence. She awarded the tour three out of five stars. [58] Rolling Stone reviewer Mark Sutherland praised the tour, calling it "loud, garish, camp and never less than uproariously entertaining" and "a show to damage retinas and blow minds." [59]

Jem Aswad of The Village Voice described the show at Madison Square Garden as "Better Than: Every other multimillion-dollar concert I've seen" and commented that "The Prismatic tour, for all its expense and atom-splitting technology, is above all else fun, smart and crowd-pleasing, and I'll take that over the self-serious bombast that usually accompanies shows of this scale any day of the week." [60] Nate Chinen of The New York Times gave the same show a mixed review, saying that he felt the "music was subordinate to the spectacle", though described it as a "Spectacle of Pop Idol Proportions". [61] Pitchfork Media's Lindsay Zoladz commented on one of the shows at New York City's Barclays Center: "I felt about this concert the way I feel about Katy Perry overall: She throws everything she's got at the wall, and every so often hits a bullseye." Three journalists from Pitchfork gave the show a mixed review. [62] Jason Lipshutz of Billboard reviewed the same show positively, saying "the superstar is at the top of her game, and Prismatic's Brooklyn debut shone bright." [63] August Brown from the Los Angeles Times gave the tour a generally positive review, commenting that the "show at the Honda Center proved that Perry's persona is a lasting one", but "the few stumbles came in the presentation." [64] Consequence of Sound's Michael Roffman named Perry one of the Top Live Acts of 2014, saying that with the Prismatic World Tour, "similar to the late King and the still-truckin' Queen of Pop — Michael Jackson and Madonna, respectively — Perry creates an unforgettable event for her legions of fans." [65]

Celine Dion, Lady Gaga, Usher and Cher

Each year, an uncountable number of recording artists transform their discographies into live shows, going on tour to super-serve their biggest fans around the world. But a select few have the power to bring their fans to them, staging extravagant productions in one city as the masses travel to see a once-in-a-career performance. Here, we’re looking at the biggest residencies in Boxscore history.

Most often, these residencies occur at theaters in Las Vegas. Among the most popular international tourist destinations, Sin City has become a second home for many of the biggest acts in music.

Some ground rules: as with all Boxscore charts, this list only includes shows that were reported to Billboard Boxscore. The threshold for inclusion on this list is a minimum of 10 shows at a single venue. Some productions, especially those by MGM, will have a home base at a Vegas theater but travel to a handful of other venues, like The Theater at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Md. – only the home-venue shows will count toward residency totals.

Further, this list only includes residencies that have their own unique names and productions and setlists – no mini-residencies within a tour. That means that Harry Styles ’ 15-show runs at Madison Square Garden and the Kia Forum are excluded, as they were part of Love On Tour. Same goes for the theater stints that made up Madonna ’s Madame X Tour in 2019-20.

However, residencies that are broken up by tours do count. That means that Bruno Mars ’ Park MGM residency – interrupted by the 24K Magic World Tour – is eligible, as is Carrie Underwood ’s ongoing Reflection.

Scroll below for the 25 highest-grossing concert residencies of all time, according to figures reported to Billboard Boxscore.

Moscow by Night

Kremlin Towers and St. Basil’s Cathedral in the Winter Night

One of the most popular tours of my guests is a walk through Moscow at night. This tour helps tourists to see Moscow not as a bustling hive, but as a majestic Empress full of ceremonial glory. Moscow night tour lasts nearly for three hours, but at the end of the walk it seems to be gone only an hour. During the excursion around Moscow at night, guests can enjoy not only the beauty of illumination, but also to learn more about the history of the city and its architecture, see  legendary cathedrals, buildings and squares of Moscow, famous over the world, and to make great shots of attractions.

Night Moscow is full of magic. It is fascinating and enigmatic. If you decided to visit Russia in winter season, you will feel the fairytale atmoshere of the capital decorated with festive New Year and Christmas decorations. Walking through Moscow's streets at night you would never believe that just a few hours before you wandered through the same ones, only in the light of day. It is amazing how the city can change in the glow of night illumination. The incredible beauty of the city at night fascinates.

Wineglass-shaped Street Lamps on Tverskaya with Traffic Lights

Excellent illumination turns the capital to the city of a fairy tale, dream-city of the children's book.

A wonderful excursion begins with perhaps the most famous places in the whole Moscow - Red Square , located at the north-eastern wall of the Kremlin. History of Russia's main square has its roots in the end of 15th century.

At Basil's Slope at Night

Nowadays, parades and celebrations of important events in the life of the Russian Federation are held at this famous square. At night Red Square stuns with its magnificent illuminations. Solemn and austere in daylight, it looks elegant and festive in the glow of night lights.

Patriarchy Bridge

Our path lies to the Patriarchy Bridge than. There is a beautiful view of the night Red Square, The Cathedral of Christ the Savior and the monument to Peter the Great at this point.

Winter Twilight over Christ the Savior Cathedral & Patriarchy Bridge

Built in Russian-Byzantine style in honor of the victory of the Russian people over Napoleon's troops the magnificent Cathedral of Christ the Savior seems to be a magical castle from a fairy tale, full of mysterious charm. Its white silhouette stands out brightly against the night sky. It seems that the walls of the Cathedral lit from within by the divine light. It is really a stunning effect.

Sparrow Hills

Next place that deserves special attention are the Sparrow Hills . There is a unique view on Moscow at night with bird's-eye view from this place - at least 85 meters over of the Moscow-River. Looking at the capital full of illumination, lit by millions of lights, stretching out at the feet, you feel on top of the world. It seems that you are a magician, surveying your luxurious land. You will have the opportunity to see a spectacular view of the Luzhniki stadium - the largest one in Russia and one of the largest stadiums in the world. This stadium was built in 1955-1956 years. It was here the Olympic Games took place and a lot of sport competitions and concerts of well-known artists and bands were conducted.

Luzhniki Stadium

At night the stadium is light up along the whole circular length at night. It seems that the stadium is a great shining pearl in the illumination of thousands of lights. From this point of Moscow you can see the erecting buildings of Financial Center Moscow-City by projects of English architect Norman Foster. Some buildings are ready; some are in the process of erection. Completion is planned for 2015. We all look forward to completion to enjoy the magnificent view of monumental modern buildings at night in the rays of illumination.

Neon Fountains at MGU

All of Stalin's skyscrapers , erected in the mid 50-ies by the orders of Stalin are visible from the top of Sparrow Hills, including Moscow State University , known for its night laser lights. Each skyscraper has a unique lighting. Panorama from Sparrow Hills is sure to impress guests: dazzling shining of metropolis with millions of lights makes the capital an unforgettable and beautiful. Magic night in Moscow fascinates.

Novodevichy Convent

My guests are particularly impressed by the panorama of Novodevichy Convent .

Novodevichy Convent at Winter Night

This magnificent example of the Orthodox women's monastery was founded in 1524 by Prince Vasily III. There are a lot of stories and legends of Moscow connected with the monastery. It played a prominent role in the cultural life of Russia. Today Novodevichy Convent is both working monastery and a branch of the State Historical Museum. Night walk along the pond will fully appreciate the beauty of the Novodevichy convent at night. Rising above the dark surface of the water, it seems to be full of shining, light and peace. The lights of the five-headed Smolensky Cathedral and the monumental bell tower of the monastery illuminate the dark sky solemnly, cutting through the darkness and giving hope.

Victory Park

Three hours driving and walking tour ends in Victory Park on Kutuzov Avenue with a stop near the Arch of Triumph.

Walking Along Frozen Fountains in Victory Park

Victory Park was opened in Moscow in 1995 and is coincided to 50 years of victory over the fascist invaders. The original nighttime illumination of Victory Monument will not leave any spectator indifferent.

Ded Moroz and Snegurochka ride through the Triumphal Arch

Excellent coverage of the Arch of Triumph on Kutuzov Avenue, built in honor of the victory over Napoleon in 1812, will complement this impression.

The tour will introduce you to such streets and squares as Tverskaya and New Arbat streets, Pushkinskaya Square, Gagarin’s Square, Lubyanka Square, and October Square. Also you will see such famous buildings in the night illumination, as White House, Former KGB, Stalin’s Skyscrapers, Old building of French Embassy, Bolshoy Theater and many others.

Moscow at night is a truly fascinating spectacle. City Lights beckon and create a holiday atmosphere. If you have seen Moscow at night - you looked into her very heart, saw her real - a beautiful, bright, exotic queen.

Singer and TV personality Katy Perry PHOTO/Variety

Katy Perry, born Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson on October 25, 1984, is an American singer, songwriter and television personality.

She gained fame with her pop rock album One of the Boys and the disco-influenced pop album Teenage Dream, which produced five U.S. number one singles.

Perry has sold over 143 million records worldwide and has received various accolades, including four Guinness World Records and a Billboard Spotlight Award.

She began visiting Nashville at 15, signed with Red Hill Records, and released her debut gospel album ‘Katy Hudson’, which was not successful.

After moving to Los Angeles, Perry collaborated with Glen Ballard and signed with Columbia Records, but was dropped before signing with Capitol Records.

Additionally, the singer is known for her camp style and has been dubbed the Queen of Camp by Vogue and Rolling Stone.

Table of Contents

Background and parents

Perry was raised in a deeply religious family and began performing in church at a young age.

Her parents are Keith Hudson and Mary Perry, and she has two siblings, David and Angela.

Perry’s mother’s half-brother was film director Frank Perry.

At 16, she released a gospel album titled, Katy Hudson, under Red Hill Records, but it was not successful.

Perry later moved to Los Angeles to pursue secular music and adopted the stage name “Katy Perry” from her mother’s maiden name.

Her music career took off with the release of her pop rock album, One of the Boys, un 2008, which included the hit singles, I Kissed a Girl’ and ‘Hot n Cold.

Perry’s has since become one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with over 143 million records sold worldwide.

Perry’s net worth is estimated to be $400 million.

This wealth is primarily derived from her successful music career, which includes mega-sales during her musical peak and lucrative tours.

In September 2023, Perry further increased her net worth by selling her music catalog for over $200 million.

She has released six studio albums, with hits like Teenage Dream, I Kissed a Girl and Firework contributing to her success.

Perry also has a Las Vegas residency and owns two businesses: a shoe brand called Katy Perry Collections and a non-alcoholic beverage brand called De Soi.

Perry’s salary is a significant one, with her earning $25 million per season as a judge on American Idol.

This makes her the highest-paid judge for the show’s 22nd season, which is set to premiere next year.

In addition to her American Idol salary, Perry has also earned substantial income from her music career, with her albums earning over $112 million in digital singles and at least six of her singles making $5 million each.

Her perfume line and various brand relationships, including with H&M, CoverGirl and Proactiv, have also contributed to her wealth.

Catalog sale

Perry sold her music catalog for $225 million to Litmus Music, a Carlyle-backed company.

The deal covers Perry’s stake in master recordings and publishing rights for five albums released between 2008 and 2020, including One of the Boys, Teenage Dream, Prism, Witness and Smile.

These albums contain 16 multiplatinum hits which Universal Music Group continues to own the masters for those albums.

The sale of music rights has boomed in recent years, with older artists such as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and Tina Turner selling part of all of their catalogues to companies such as Hipgnosis, Sony and BMG.

Younger singers, including Dr. Dre and Justin Bieber, have also cashed in on their music rights.

Endorsement deals

Perry has been involved in various endorsement deals throughout her career, including partnerships with brands such as CoverGirl, Pepsi, H&M and Moschino.

She has also endorsed products like perfumes, clothing, accessories, cosmetics and nail polish.

In 2015, Perry was the highest-earning female artist, earning $135 million, largely due to her Prismatic World Tour and endorsement deals with H&M, Claire’s and CoverGirl.

She has also launched her own fragrance line and has been involved in various philanthropic efforts, including supporting women and children through her Katy Perry Foundation.

Real estate

Perry and her husband, Orlando Bloom, purchased a Montecito home for $14.2 million in 2020.

However, they faced a legal battle with Carl Westcott, the previous owner, who sued to rescind the offer due to his mental incapacity.

Westcott, who founded 1-800-FLOWERS, claimed he was of unsound mind when he agreed to the deal.

Perry and Bloom’s agent, Bernie Gudvie, argued that Westcott was competent during the negotiations.

The lawsuit has led to the proposed PERRY Act, which seeks a 72-hour cool-down period for real estate contracts involving seniors over 75.

The act has received non-partisan support and aims to protect seniors from hasty decisions that could lead to a loss of generational wealth or their family home.

Music career

Perry’s music career has been marked by significant achievements and chart-topping hits.

She rose to fame with her pop rock album, One of the Boys, in 2008, featuring hits like I Kissed a Girl and Hot n Cold.

Perry’s disco-influenced pop album, Teenage Dream, set records by producing five U.S. number one singles, including California Gurls and Firework.

This album tied Michael Jackson’s record for five number one songs from a single album.

Her subsequent releases, such as Prism and Witness, continued her success with hits like Roar and Chained to the Rhythm.

Perry’s music videos have also made history, being the first artist to have multiple videos reach one billion views on Vevo.

Despite facing criticism from some quarters, her music has resonated with audiences worldwide, earning her numerous accolades, including Grammy nominations and various awards.

Her Las Vegas concert residency titled Play received critical acclaim and commercial success, further solidifying her status as one of the best-selling music artists of all time.

Tours and live performances

Perry has embarked on four international concert tours and one concert residency since her debut in 2001.

Her concert tours include the Hello Katy Tour, California Dreams Tour, Prismatic World Tour and Witness: The Tour.

Perry has also performed at various international shows and festivals, including Jingle Ball and the MTV Video Music Awards.

Her concert tours have been highly successful, with her California Dreams Tour earning over $59.5 million and her Prismatic World Tour grossing more than $204.3 million.

Perry live performances are known for their elaborate stage designs, costumes and choreography, as well as Perry’s powerful vocals and connection with her audience.

Her concerts often feature a mix of her hit singles and album tracks, with enhanced arrangements that showcase her musicianship.

Perry’s most recent tour, Witness: The Tour, grossed over $124.2 million and became her second most successful tour to date.

She has also performed in Mexico, with her first stop in Guadalajara during the California Dreams Tour in 2011.

Katy Perry

Prismatic World Tour

Perry’s Prismatic World Tour was a highly successful concert tour that took place from February to March 2015 across Europe.

The tour featured elaborate stage designs, colorful costumes, and captivating choreography, reflecting her vibrant and energetic performances.

Red Square & Moscow City Tour

Description

Highlights:.

  • Experience medieval Kitay Gorod (China town).
  • Wander picturesque Red Square and Alexander Garden.
  • Explore grand Christ the Savior Cathedral on our Red Square tour.
  • Breathtaking panoramic views from Patriarch bridge.
  • Enjoy a hearty lunch on the large open verandah and marvel at the stunning views of the Kremlin.
  • Learn about Russian culture from the local through relaxed cultural discussions.

Tour Itinerary:

Red square:.

Russia and Moscow are synonymous with Red Square and the Kremlin and that's hardly surprising as you'll find these places absolutely stunning!

  • - Walk-through the Resurrection Gate and don’t forget to flip a coin so you’ll be sure to come back one day!
  • - Visit the world's famous Kazan Cathedral .
  • - See the State Department Store (GUM), once the Upper Trading Stalls, which were built over a century ago and still operating!
  • - Admire the lovely St. Basil's Cathedral! The French diplomat Marquis de Custine commented that it combined "the scales of a golden fish, the enamelled skin of a serpent, the changeful hues of the lizard, the glossy rose and azure of the pigeon's neck" and wondered at "the men who go to worship God in this box of confectionery work".
  • - Walk by Lobnoye Mesto (literally meaning "Execution Place", or "Place of Skulls"), once Ivan the Terrible's stage for religious ceremonies, speeches, and important events.
  • - Entering the Alexander Garden , you’ll take in spectacular views of Russian architecture from ancient to Soviet times, as well as the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with an eternal flame. Watch Changing of the Guard Ceremony every hour in summer and every half an hour in winter.

Kitai-gorod:

Stroll along medieval Kitai-gorod with its strong ancient Russia feel, known for its bohemian lifestyle, markets and arts.

  • - Nikolskaya Street. Here you will find the Russia's first publishing house, the second oldest monastery, and Ferryn Pharmacy, known as the number one pharmacy back in Soviet times and famous for its Empire-style architecture.
  • - Ilinka Street. The financial street of the Kitaigorod (China Town) district, where you’ll find the Gostiny Dvor (Merchant’s Yard), which is now a showroom for Ferraris and Maseratis. The street was designed in the 1790s by Catherine the Great.
  • - Varvarka street. The oldest street in Moscow, which dates back to the 14th century, and still has remnants of early Muscovite architecture, such as the Old English Court and the Palace of the Romanov’s.
  • - Kamergersky Lane. Only a small road of about 250 meters, it is home to some of the oldest artifacts of the city, as each building holds a fascinating story. Some of Russia's most famous writers, poets, and composers from as far back as the Golden Age of Russian culture, have lived or worked on this lane.

Historic City Center

Walk the historical old center of Moscow with its cool local vibe, including the main Tverskaya street , and indulge in desserts in the first grocery “Eliseev's store” , housed in an 18th century neoclassical building, famous for its baroque interior and decoration.

From our tour. Impressions of our American tourist:

At 3:30, as energy flagged, lunch was on the agenda at a Ukrainian restaurant.  Just in time!  We asked our guide to order for us.  We all had the same thing....borscht (the Ukrainian version has beans and more tomatoes than the Russian version, which has more beets and includes beef).

The special high bread served is called galushki.  Our main course was golubtsy...a dish of minced meat rolled in braised cabbage leaves.  Both dishes called for optional sour cream as a topping....of course, yes, please....I recommend it.

Full, satisfied, and completely refreshed, it was off to Red Square and St. Basil's and GUM department store.  Red Square is not so named because of the color of the brick walls of the Kremlin.  Rather the word for 'red' and the word for 'beautiful' are similar in pronunciation....and, there you have it.

As we made the turn by the National Museum in front of which is the mounted sculpture of the "Marshall of Victory," Giorgy Zhukov from WWII and caught our first view of St. Basil's, my friend and I simultaneously emitted "Oooohhhhh!"  There it was....the iconic onion domes of St. Basil's!  Hooray....it was open until 7....we had about 30 minutes and were allowed in, AND we could take photos with no flash.

Now, I can give you a taste of what we saw in the other cathedrals in Cathedral Square.  What we learned is that St. Vasily and St. Basil are one in the same....Russian/English.  He was a common man who wandered Moscow unclothed and barefoot.  But, all, even Ivan the Terrible, heeded his opinions derived from his visions.  Ivan had this cathedral built over his tomb.

As we exited and took photos up close of the onion domes, Inna presented us with chocolate (how did she know we were ready for another energy boost, and we each got a big piece of chocolate.  The baby's name pictured on the wrapper of this famous Russian chocolate is Alyonka....the Russian Gerber baby, don't you think?

One could wear out the credit card in GUM's (capitalized because it is actually a government abbreviation), but the 'kitty' and my credit card stayed in my pocket as we strolled through the glass-topped arcade.

We then strolled through some of Moscow's lovely pedestrian streets; paused to listen as a wonderful quartet performed Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" in an underground passage to cross the busy street (hooray!....we DID have our 'classical concert' experience after all; a request Alina tried in vain to fill because none was scheduled those days), saw the Bolshoi, which means 'big' (my friend has yet to recover that their performance schedule did not coincide with our cruise), saw the Central Telegraph Building, dating from the 1930's, and made our way to the Ritz-Carlton to see the night view of Moscow from the rooftop bar, called O2.

There were fleece blankets to wrap yourself in....yes, it got that cold when the sun set.  We each ordered something hot to drink...the ginger, mint, lemon tea served to me in a parfait glass (for 600 rubles...about $9....you pay for the view here!) was delightful and hit the spot perfectly.  It was time to call it a night....
