Radtour über den Tremalzo

Die Radtour mit dem Mountainbike von Riva del Garda auf den Tremalzo Pass ist nicht „nur“ ein Gardasee-Klassiker . Mit 2.250 Höhenmetern und knapp 62 Kilometern Länge ist diese Tour auch konditionell eine Herausforderung und „der Pass der Pässe“ am See.

Mit dem Mountainbike von Riva del Garda über die Ponale Strasse

Start und Zielort ist Riva del Garda. Vom Hafen aus erreicht man in südlicher Richtung, einige hundert Meter nach dem Ortsende, den Einstieg in die Ponale Strasse. Der im Frühjahr 2018 sanierte Weg hat etwas von seinem trailigen Charakter verloren. Die Auffahrt macht aufgrund der angenehmen Steigungsprozente aber immer noch Laune. Zudem ist die Aussicht auf den Gardasee einfach traumhaft.

Viele Wanderer und Radfahrer nutzen die Ponale Strasse, unter anderem für den Zustieg zu den Klettersteigen Susatti und Foletti. Am frühen Morgen ist es daher deutlich ruhiger. Es geht auf überwiegend sandigem Untergrund durch Tunnels und am Fels entlang hinauf bis zum Ausflugscafé Ponalealto. Das ist spätestens auf dem Rückweg einen Zwischenstopp wert ist. Die Aussicht von der Dachterrasse ist überragend!

Auf dem Weg zum Lago di Ledro

Von nun an geht es in einigen Kehren auf einer asphaltierten, aber für den öffentlichen Verkehr gesperrten Strasse, nach oben. Kurz vor dem Ort Biacesa treffen wir auf die Verbindungsstrasse zwischen Riva del Garda und dem Ledrosee. Nach ein paar hundert Metern auf der vielbefahrenen Strasse geht es aber schon wieder links ab über eine Brücke und dann rechts auf den Radweg in Richtung Ledrosee.

Der schottrige Weg steigt meist nur leicht an, bevor eine kleine Rampe zum Ortseingang von Pre führt. Nach der Brücke, die in den Ort führt, halten wir uns den Wegweisern folgend links und fahren auf einem kleinen Sträßchen nach Molina di Ledro. Vor und nach dem Ort stehen ein paar knackige Rampen auf dem Programm, bevor der Lago di Ledro erreicht ist. Aber auch dieser Teil des Wegs bis nach Ledro wurde 2018 saniert und die Steigung deutlich entschärft.

Anfahrt zum Tremalzo

Nun geht es linker Hand um den See. Zunächst auf einer öffentlichen, aber kaum befahrenen Strasse, dann ab einem Campingplatz durch ein kleines Wohngebiet. An dessen Ende folgt ein breiter Waldweg der in leichtem Auf und Ab nach Bezzecca, ans westliche Ende des Sees führt. Etwa in der Mitte des Ortes geht es links ab in Richtung Tiarno di Sotto.

Immer links zur Strasse 240 die zum Idro See führt, geht es nahezu ebenerdig bis zu einem Biotop. Ein erster Weg, der links in den Wald in Richtung Tremalzo führt, erweist sich am Ende knackig steil. Fährt man noch ein paar Minuten weiter geradeaus, so erreicht man den direkten Einstieg zum Passo Tremalzo, mit deutlich weniger Aufwand.

Nun folgt die etwa 12 Kilometer lange Auffahrt über die Passstrasse. Da es am oberen Ende der Strasse nicht weitergeht, hält sich der Verkehr (was ich zumindest bei meinen bisherigen Auffahrten festgestellt habe) in Grenzen. Die Steigung ist einer Passstrasse angemessen moderat. Die gut 900 Höhenmeter bis zum Ende der asphaltierten Strasse lassen sich daher in einem guten Rhythmus fahren. Am Ende des Strasse gibt es ein Lokal. Das setzt zwar keine kulinarischen Akzente, eine einfach Portion Nudeln tut aber nach der bisher geforderten Leistung gut.

Die letzten Höhenmeter bis zum höchsten Punkt geht es auf einem breiten Schotterweg nach oben. Oben angekommen führt der Weg  durch einen Tunnel, dessen Eingang in der ein oder anderen Juni-Woche durchaus noch mit einem Schneefeld „geschmückt“ sein kann.

Die Abfahrt über den Passo Nota

Hinter dem Tunnel folgt die steile und tiefschottrige Abfahrt in Richtung Passo Nota. Teilweise herrscht hier in der Gegenrichtung reges Treiben. Es kann einem auch schon das ein oder andere Motorrad auf dem schmalen Weg begegnen. In jedem Fall werden die Bremsen ausreichend beansprucht. Das Rifugio degli Alpini bietet am Passo Nota nochmal die Möglichkeit zur Einkehr, bevor es über ein paar Höhenmeter zur Bocca dei Fortini und dann linker Hand auf einem wunderschönen Waldweg hinunter nach Molina di Ledro geht.

Alternativ kann man vom Passo Nota auch die lange Abfahrt nach Limone sul Garda wählen und dort mit dem Schiff zurück nach Riva fahren.

Die Abfahrt nach Molina sollte in jedem Fall bis zur bekannten Strasse bei der Hinfahrt „durchgezogen werden“. Biegt man beispielsweise in Legos zu früh rechts ab, ist der Weg zu Beginn zwar noch toll zu fahren, spätestens im Wald beginnt man aber zu schieben und zu tragen, bevor man in Pre wieder auf den bekannten Weg trifft. Die weitere Rückfahrt erfolgt in Richtung Biacesa und weiter über die Ponale Strasse zurück nach Riva del Garda.

TIPS: keep your helmet always on and enjoy

Tremalzo has been rated as one of the best spots in the world by many international specialized magazines. There is no doubt: this is a must for almost any biker, not just die hard ones! It is indeed possible to choose how much effort can be put in the ascent to the 1850 metres summit: a shuttle can bring us to the 1700 metres high Garda mountain hut (leaving just 150 metres of uphill dirt road), or to the 1100 metres of the Church of Santa Croce, or to the 700 metres of Lake d’Ampola . For the “Iron Bikers” the extreme is also available: a nice and tough ascent from Lake Garda itself. Whatever the choice, the Bocca Val Marza tunnel is the gateway to Heaven itself! An awesome, incredible descent starts there. This is on a former military road and it resembles a very long tropical snake twirled on itself. The views are breathtaking for many kilometres while the road leads to the Nota Pass . We stop there and meet the nice manager of the hut, deciding in the meantime what itinerary we will take for the descent. Once we pass Bocca Fortini we carry on pedalling to maintain altitude; we almost immediately come very close to an alpine cabin and continue our approach to Lake Garda . If vertigo is an issue we can turn onto the Guil Pass and take the descent towards Leano, a tiny group of cots surrounding a small church in a meadow, entering then the Ledro Valley . In this tour our brakes and forearms will be put to the test. There are no technical difficulties and it is a great way for exploring this enchanting small valley.

We cycle the tour in a clockwise direction, starting in Molina di Ledro. The first section along the Strada del Ponale road proceeds downhill until the village of Prè di Ledro (470 m a.s.l.). There a cobbled mountain road branches off to the right which leads us to the hamlet of Leano. There we take the gravelled forest path to the Malga Vil and the Passo Guil mountain pass (1,211 m a.s.l.). After the arduous ascent, a breathtaking view on Lake Garda awaits us up here. Our route leads us to the junction at the Bocca dei Fortini and further to the Passo Nota mountain pass, where the Rif. degli Alpini mountain hut is located (last rest point before the queen’s stage).

Now the most beautiful but also most demanding section follows. The route proceeds along the actual Tremalzo mountain pass road now, constructed by the Italian Army in WWI. Several series of curves take us mostly uphill , for short sections also downhill again, through little tunnels and beneath the southerly exposed rock walls of the Tremalzo Group. From the 1,200 m a.s.l. at the Passo Nota, we cycle up to the highest point of our tour at 1,855 m a.s.l., to the gallery below the Corno della Marogna mountain. Immediately after the tunnel, the releasing downhill ride starts. First to the mountain hut at the Passo Tremalzo, then along the asphalt road down into the Val di Ledro valley. Here we use the cycle path to come back to Molina di Ledro again.

Tremalzo Big - Tour

Bike lovers who visit Valle di Ledro cannot miss a ride to the legendary Passo Tremalzo, a cult destination for bikers!

This route has two souls. The ascent to Tremalzo, a real climb on an asphalt road with an average gradient of 7%, and the descent, a route full of excitement along old military roads with breath-taking curves and spectacular views of Lake Garda. To complete the tour there’s nothing better than a swim in Lake Ledro.

Author’s recommendation

It is also possible to do the tour in the opposite direction, i.e. clockwise, following the signposts marked 779. Tremalzo Big Tour - Clockwise. In this case, the ascent is on dirt road and the descent on asphalt.

Destination

Turn-by-turn directions.

From the car park near the tourist office in Pieve di Ledro we take Via Imperiale and embark on the Valle di Ledro cycle path, which winds its way through fields and residential areas, alternating between sections closed to traffic and mixed stretches for about 7 km. Just before reaching the Lago d'Ampola nature reserve, almost at the end of the cycle path, we take the dirt road on the left, a rather steep shortcut to the provincial road to Tremalzo. From here the route to Passo Tremalzo is clearly defined and runs entirely on a tarmac road for about 15 km.

Those who wish to shorten the route can take the variants 779a. and 779b. at Rifugio Garibaldi and descend down the valley towards Tiarno di Sopra or towards Pieve via Bocca Caset. Both variants present more challenging technical characteristics than the descent from Bocca Fortini.

From the pass we continue along the old First World War military road towards Bocca di Val Marza, pass the tunnel and begin the descent towards Passo dei Gatùm, Passo Prà della Rosa and Passo Nota, characterised by the breathtaking curves that are among the highlights of this route. From Passo Nota the route becomes less steep and has a slight up and downhill stretch to Bocca Fortini. From Bocca Fortini we take the forest road to the left and begin the descent into the forest, which is quite steep in places. Ignoring the numerous forks along the way, we continue the descent for about 5 km, after which the dirt road gives way to a tarmac surface for the last stretch to Lake Ledro.

When we reach the lake, we turn left and continue alongside it, first on Via al Lago and then on Via Val Maria, until we reach Pur. At the crossroads we keep to the right, pass the beach and continue along Via Mal Maria. After about 1 km, at a hairpin bend, we take the cycle path on the right, which leads to the Pieve sailing club. From here we continue along Via Alzer and turn left at the first opportunity to rejoin the cycle path. This briefly rejoins Via Alzer and then turns left and runs alongside the stream for 1 km, after which it rejoins Via Imperiale. We turn right to return to our starting point.

Italien Trentino Gardasee Passo Tremalzo Lago Klassiker: Die Tour über den Passo Tremalzo zählt zu den ganz großen Mountainbike Klassikern am Gardasee. Trotz mancher Tücken muss man diese Runde gemacht haben. Ob mit oder ohne Shuttle.

Alpine Tour am Lago

Am Tremalzo scheiden sich die Geister. Die eine Hälfte der Biker nutzt den Shuttleservice, mit dessen Hilfe sich die notwendige Steigleistung auf etwa 300 Höhenmeter verringern lässt. Für die andere Hälfte ist das Frevel: Sie kämpft sich die kompletten 1800 Höhenmeter von Riva über den Ledrosee zum Scheiteltunnel des Tremalzo aus eigener Kraft hinauf.

Unvergesslich wird die Tour so oder so, denn oben warten tolle Ausblicke über den Gardasee und hinüber zum Altissimo. Ganz zu schweigen von der Weganlage der Tremalzostraße selbst:

In zig Kehren führt diese „im Windschatten“ des Bergkamms entlang. Was auf den ersten Blick als eine breite und problemlose Schotterstraße daherkommt, verlangt aber in Realität einige Vorsicht. Tatsächlich ist die Tremalzostraße von losem Schotter überschwemmt und lediglich ein schmaler Fahrstreifen in der Mitte bietet festen Untergrund.

Gerade bei Gegenverkehr – bei der Besucherfrequenz am Tremalzo nicht gerade selten – kann es da schon einmal zu heiklen Situationen kommen. Nichtsdestotrotz gehört diese Tour zu den „muss man gemacht haben“ am Gardasee. Und zwar dank Shuttle längst nicht nur für Biker mit guten Beinen.

Eine Tour zum Tremalzo zählt zu de Klassikern am Gardasee. Der Begriff „Legendär“, würde diese Tour ebenso gut beschreiben. 

Die Tour ist etwas für die Konditionell guten Biker unter uns. Auf einen langen und Anspruchsvollen Anstieg, folgt eine spannende und landschaftlich tolle Abfahrt, auf einer Mischung aus alten Militärstraßen und Kurvenreichen Trails.

Wir starten unsere Tour an der Sailing Bar in Riva del Garda

A22 – Brennero/Modena: Autobahnausfahrt Roveretto Sud / Nördlicher Gardasee

• Diese Variante ist wohl die gängigsten für deutsche oder österreichische Urlauber
• Nach der Abfahrt von der Autobahn einfach den Ausschilderung Richtung Torbole / Riva del Garda folgen.

Wie so oft starten wir unsere Tour nach einem kleinen Espresso an der Sailing Bar in Riva del Garda. Von hieraus geht es dann am See entlang in Richtung Ponale Straße .

Wobei wir uns am Ponale Café, einen zweiten Espresso gönnen. Es ist eine von zahlreichen Möglichkeiten, bei einer größeren Gruppe von Mountainbikern, diese zusammen zu halten.  

Vom Ponale Café geht es weiter in Richtung Lago de Ledro. Der Weg wurde in den letzten Jahren mehrfach für Radfahrer optimiert. Einfach der Ausschilderung oder dem Strom an Radfahrer folgen. 

Und bitte untereinander Rücksicht auf einander nehmen. Es gibt Biker die sind mit E-Bike etwas schneller am Berg unterwegs und andere ohne Motor, brauchen in den steileren Passagen einfach mal ein bisschen mehr Platz nach rechts und links, um den Anstieg zu überwinden. 

Am Ledro legen wir einen erneuten Stopp ein, um die Gruppe zusammen zuführen.

Dann geht es auf einem gut ausgebauten Radweg weit ins Tal nach hinten. Es dauert noch mal gute 7-9 Kilometer, bis wir am asphaltierten Anstieg zum Passo Tremalzo angelangt sind.  

Von nun an, geht es in einer Durchschnittlichen Steigung von 7 % hoch zum Passo Tremalzo. Jeder in seinem Tempo. 

Da das Wetter schlechter wird, beschließen wir nicht direkt bis zum Passo Tremalzo hoc zufahren, sondern bereits am Ristorante Da Richetto Di Carloni Nicola, rund 200 Höhenmeter unterhalb des Passo anzuhalten. Leider gibt es hier nichts zu Essen, sondern nur zu trinken. Zumindest war die Küche geschlossen. 

Um nun auf den 779b zu gelangen, geht es noch mal ein Stück die Straße bergab. Was dann folgt ist ein sehr gut ausgeschilderte Weg der eine Mischung aus alter Militärstraße und Trail mit sich bringt. Aber Achtung. Es geht nicht nur bergab. Der Weg schlängelt sich des Öfteren auch mal bergauf oder führt für längere Zeit am Berghang entlang. 

Eine Gute Kondition ist hier also das A und das O. Wer diese aber mitbringt, der wird auf der gesamten Strecken seinen Spaß haben. Versprochen.

Un percorso mitico e impareggiabile. La meta, il Tremalzo è un must per noi bikers, un tour che non deve mancare nel nostro curriculum.

Un luogo quasi mistico per noi bikers, un luogo di culto sentito citare per la prima volta da qualche amico biker o letto su qualche rivista, rimane nella memoria fino a quando un giorno si decide di andarci, qualsiasi appassionato desidera percorrere prima o poi, il mitico Tremalzo! Da Vesio ci dirigiamo nella isolata valle San Michele dove dal laghetto ha inizio la salita, dopo diversi tornanti sulla ampia sterrata si raggiunge le meravigliose cascate Pis e successivamente l’agriturismo Malga Ciapa e a breve il passo Tremalzo dove troveremo tantissimi bikers. Si prosegue ancora un poco in salita fino alla galleria che attraversiamo, dall’altro lato ci attende l’interminabile discesa sterrata che percorre l’antica strada militare. Terminata la lunga discesa divertente e piena di tornanti si giunge al passo Nota, da qua si può optare sulla discesa asfaltata oppure proseguire lungo la strada militare, sentiero numero 106 che ci riporta a valle al punto di partenza.

Il tour descritto parte ed arriva da Vesio, è possibile allungare il tour partendo da Limone e raggiungere Vesio su strada, in questo caso si aggiungono 7 km, 650 mt di dislivello e circa due ore di padelata in più.

ADATTO per E-BIKE percorso perfetto da percorrere con la e-bike, prestare un poco di attenzione al consumo batteria e buon divertimento!

Vesio - Tremalzo::

Parcheggiata l’auto nel parcheggio PIC1 ci dirigiamo nel centro del paese, ovvero scendiamo a sinistra PIC2 , percorriamo la discesa che entra nel paese e giunti all'incrocio proseguiamo sulla via bassa diritti PIC3 attraversiamo in toto il centro Vesio fino a giungere sul lato ovest dell'abitato, imbocchiamo la strada SP38 con indicazioni Sermerio - eremo di san Michele , raggiunto un bivio teniamo la salita a destra (indicazioni Tignale-Brescia) PIC4 la strada poco dopo inizia a scendere e ragginge una piana d’erba, quando la strada piega nettamente a sinistra (località Polzone ) prendiamo la sterrata a destra (dove si trovano dei parcheggi) con indicazioni valle San Michele (sentiero 175) PIC5 . La sterrata inizialmente si svolge in falsopiano tra radure e boschetti fino a giungere a l’ agriturismo San Michele PIC6 , superiamo il ponte a fianco del laghetto artificiale e dopo 200 metri si sale a sinistra PIC7 sulla lunga salita sterrata tranquilla ed esposta al sole che ci fa guadagnare quota velocemente. Dopo un tratto a tornanti roccioso si entra nel folto del bosco e al bivio si va a destra PIC8 lungo la sterrata meno pendente che dà un po di tregua alle nostre gambe, proseguiamo in falsopiano lungo questa via denominata Bocca di Lorina sino a giungere alle meravigliose cascate del Pisù (sentiero 184).

Oltre le cascate si prosegue sui pascoli ( malga cà dell’Era ) e giunti al passo della Cocca si prosegue a sinistra in salita PIC9 , dopo un paio di tornanti si arriva all’ agriturismo Malga Ciapa PIC10 e dopo altri 2 km e qualche manciata di tornanti si arriva finalmente al mitico passo Tremalzo dove si trova l’ albergo Garda , meta di tantissimi bikers, anche da strada che raggiungono la cima salendo dalla strada che parte dalla valle di Ledro.

Tremalzo – Passo Nota:

Dal rifugio si prosegue sempre sul sentiero 184 PIC11 in salita e a breve attraversiamo una galleria che ci porta in Trentino alto Adige PIC12 con vista su valle del Piles e val Bondo. Scendiamo lungo la interminabile discesa su sterrato facendo molta attenzione ai ciclisti e pedoni che percorrono questa via militare in salita. Si attraversano gallerie, tornanti e le viste sono meravigliose.

ATTENZIONE! Non fatevi prendere troppo la mano e non distraetevi dalla guida guardando il panorama, in diversi punti oltre la carreggiata non protetta ci sono precipizi profondi, quindi PRUDENZA!

Teniamo sempre la sterrata principale passando per passo Gatom , passo Pra della Rosa fino a giungere dopo 7 km di puro divertimento il famoso passo Nota .

Passo Nota - Vesio:

Raggiunto Passo Nota , crocevia di numerosi sentieri, possiamo optare per due scelte PIC13 : La prima più semplice è scendere a destra percorrendo la strada che ci porta sul sedime del lago di Bondo e giungere a breve a Vesio dove abbiamo lasciato l’auto qualche ora prima. La seconda seguire le indicazioni del percorso Passo Nota , ovvero arrivati all’incrocio svoltiamo a sinistra e poi subito a destra lungo la strada militare sterrata sentiero numero 106 che inizialmente sale, passa vicino al cimitero militare da dove inizia una lunga traversa e successivamente si tuffa a valle fino a Vesio terminando proprio dove abbiamo lasciato l’auto.

Autostrada A4 Milano-Venezia , uscita Brescia Est , proseguiamo sulla superstrada in direzione Salò , dopo le gallerie sempre diritti sulla Gardesana occidentale SS45BIS per 30 Km fino a giungere a porto di Pieve andiamo nella galleria a sinistra e saliamo lungo la strada della forra raggiungendo Pieve (strada molto caratteristica, stretta non adatta a camper o grandi mezzi, NO BIKE SUL TETTO!!), svoltiamo a destra e sempre diritti seguendo le indicazione per Vesio - lago di Bondo dove allo scollinamento andiamo a destra dove troviamo un ampio parcheggio.

DESCRIPTION

Tremalzo has been described by many international mountain-bike magazines as one of the most beautiful spots in the world. Our bike-shuttle will take you straight to the Garda Lodge, 10 minutes away from Tremalzo’s Pass. Here you can stop and have a bite or rest in the sun before starting the long descent to Riva del Garda. Beyond the tunnel, straddling Tremalzo’s Pass, a 9 km descent along the curves of the military road leads to Nota Pass. Here stopovers are in order, to enjoy the stunning view of the valley underneath and of Garda Lake. After crossing Nota’s Pass the road continues in a slight slope, with the exception of one short steep uphill climb, all the way to Rocchetta’s Pass, another breathtaking panoramic spot! From here onwards it is downhill all the way to Riva del Garda, first going trough the town of Pregasina, and later through the notorious Ponale street.

Die Mountainbiketour auf den Monte Tremalzo gehört zu den absoluten Bike-Klassikern am Gardasee – mit langen Uphill-Passagen, flowigen Downhill-Parts und immer wieder atemberaubenden Aussichten auf den Gardasee.

Da der Monte Tremalzo Teil des Pflichtprogramms jedes Mountainbike-Urlaubs am Gardasee ist, stellen wir Bikern hier eine alternative Tour namens „New Tremalzo“ vor.

Die 50 km lange Tour beginnt in Riva del Garda . Von dort nach Pregasina (auf der alten Ponale-Straße), zur Malga Palaer, zum Passo Rocchetta (Weg Nr. 422) und auf den Passo Guil. Weiter zur Bocca Fortini, zum Passo Nota, zum Passo Tremalzo und zum Rifugio Garda , wo man ruhig einen Moment rasten kann bevor es zur Malga Ciapa weitergeht und auf dem Weg Nr. 222 zur Malga di Fobia, dann zur Bocca Fobia , dem höchsten Punkt der Tour.

Hinunter und zurück nach Riva del Garda geht es auf Weg Nr. 222 ins Valle Prà delle Noci und auf einem Schotterweg durchs Valle San Michele und nach Tremosine und Limone . Von dort fährt man mit der Fähre zurück nach Riva del Garda.

Insgesamt werden bei der als schwierig eingestuften Tour 2.200 Höhenmeter zurückgelegt.

Die Tour berührt viele ikonische Orte des Garda Trentino: den Ponale Weg, auf schroffen Felsen über dem See, den Ledrosee, der zu einem erfrischenden Tauch einlädt, die Serpentinen von Tremalzo, einen wahrhaft legendären Namen für Biker und Punta Larici, einem der aufregendsten Aussichtspunkte auf den Gardasee. Die Schutzhütten am Passo Tremalzo und am Passo Nota bieten die Möglichkeit, die Fahrt zu unterbrechen und einzukehren.

Punta Larici ist einer von den besten Aussichtspunkten am Gardasee! Da der Aussichtspunkt sehr ausgesetzt ist und nur wenig Platz bietet soll das Bike bei Bocca Larici bleiben, wo ein Radständer zur Verfügung steht.

Das ITRS ist eine objektive Methode zur Bewertung von Trails und Routen aus der Sicht von Bikern, bei der vier Aspekte berücksichtigt werden:

• Kondition: Kombinierter Effekt von Länge, Steigungen und Abfahrten
• Wildnis-Faktor: Erforderliche Planung auf der Grundlage von Handyempfang, Rettungsmöglichkeiten, Wasserversorgung und Wildtieren
• Exponiertheit: Folgen eines Sturzes

• Trage immer deinen Helm.
• Plane deine Biketour sorgfältig.
• Du teilst den Weg mit anderen Benutzern. Lass Fußgängern den Vorrang.
• Pass die Geschwindigkeit deinen Fähigkeiten an.

Der Ausgangspunkt der Route befindet sich am Seeufer von Riva del Garda, gegenüber der Touristeninformation von Garda Trentino. Den Radweg nehmen und die Viale della Liberazione entlang in Richtung Zentrum von Riva fahren. Nach dem beeindruckenden Gebäude der Burg La Rocca und der Piazza III Novembre stößt man in der Nähe des Hafens auf die Gardesana Occidentale. Von dort aus die Hauptstraße einige Hundert Meter lang gen Süden fahren. Vor dem ersten Tunnel der Gardesana sich rechts halten und die steile Porphyr-Auffahrt zum berühmten Ponale-Weg hinauf strampeln. Dieser Abschnitt auf unbefestigtem Untergrund bietet atemberaubende Panoramablicke. Es gibt hier keine mit dem Fahrrad befahrbaren Alternativen. Am Ende der Schotterstraße gelangt man zum Einkehrpunkt Ponale Alto Belvedere.

Sich an der nächsten Kreuzung rechts halten und in Richtung Ledrosee fahren. Vor dem Tunnel, links biegen, um die Hauptstraße zu vermeiden und auf die andere Seite des Tales zu fahren. Wieder auf die Asphaltstraße nach Pregasina, rechts einbiegen und vor der Brücke die Schotterstraße linker Hand nehmen. Die Route zum Ledrosee ist ganz leicht zu finden. Fahre durch die Ortschaften Prè und Molina weiter bis zum See.

In der Nähe des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes der Pfahlbausiedlung links auf die Via al Lago abbiegen und der Via Val Maria am Seeufer entlang bis Pur folgen. An der Kreuzung rechts abbiegen, am Strand vorbeifahren und der Via Val Maria folgen. Nach ca. 1 km auf Höhe einer Nadelkurve den Fahrradweg auf der rechten Seite nehmen, der zum Segelclub von Pieve führt. Von hier auf der Via Alzer weiterfahren und bei der ersten Gelegenheit links abbiegen, um auf den Radweg zurückzukehren. Dieser verläuft nun für einen kurzen Streckenabschnitt entlang der Via Alzer und biegt anschließend links ab, um 1 Kilometer dem Fluss zu folgen. Danach mündet er in die Via Imperiale in der Nähe von Pieve. Hier links abbiegen und ca. 6 km lang dem beschilderten Radweg folgen. Die Strecke verläuft ausschließlich auf Asphalt, wobei einige Abschnitte reiner Radweg sind, während andere gemischt genutzt werden.

Kurz vor dem Naturschutzgebiet Lago d’Ampola fast am Ende des Radwegs links auf die Schotterstraße abbiegen. Sie bildet eine ziemlich steile Abkürzung zur Provinzstraße in Richtung Tremalzo. Von hier aus ist die Strecke bis zum Passo Tremalzo gut gekennzeichnet und verläuft 15 km lang ausschließlich auf Asphalt. Am Pass geht es weiter auf der alten Militärstraße aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg in Richtung Bocca di Val Marza. Nach Durchqueren des Tunnels beginnt die Abfahrt zum Passo dei Gatùm, Passo Prà della Rosa und Passo Nota, mit atemberaubenden Kurven, die das absolute Highlight dieser Tour bilden. Ab dem Passo Nota wird die Strecke weniger steil und verläuft in leichtem Auf und Ab auf einer Schotterstraße, wobei man herrliche Ausblick auf den Gardasee genießen kann. Nachdem man die Baita Segala hinter sich gelassen hat, erreicht man den Passo Guil.

Hier macht die Straße eine Rechtskurve und führt weiter in Richtung Passo Rocchetta, wobei sie sich zu einem Pfad verengt (alternativ kann man hier auch links abbiegen und der Tour 733a. Variante Leano folgen). An einigen Abschnitten ist die Strecke ziemlich ausgesetzt, bleibt jedoch stets breit und angenehm zu fahren. Die letzten Meter der Auffahrt bis zum Passo Rocchetta sind steil und technisch anspruchsvoll. Nach der Schranke trifft man auf zwei verschiedene Abfahrten zur Malga Palaer. Hier gemäß der Beschilderung den linken Weg einschlagen, da die andere Variante den Wanderern vorbehalten ist. Dieser Abschnitt ist der technisch schwierigste Teil der Strecke. Am Forstweg angekommen rechts abbiegen und diesem bis zur Malga Palaer folgen. Gemäß Touren-Beschilderung der Abfahrt auf dem Forstweg weiter hinunter bis Bocca Larici folgen. Dieser Sattel liegt in der Nähe eines der schönsten Aussichtspunkte des gesamten Gardasees, der Punta Larici.

Vom Sattel führt die Strecke weiter auf dem Forstweg abwärts bis zur Ortschaft Pregasina. Man durchquert den Ort und folgt anschließend der Hauptstraße weiter abwärts. Entlang dieser asphaltierten Abfahrt sollte man darauf achten, dass sie eine Reihe unübersichtlicher Kurven aufweist. Außerdem ist die Fahrbahn äußerst schmal, und man kann neben Wanderern und anderen Radfahrern des öfteren auch Autos antreffen. Nachdem man den Aussichtspunkt mit der großen Statue der Regina Mundi hinter sich gelassen hat, biegt man in der Nähe der Einfahrt in den Tunnel zum Valle di Ledro rechts auf die alte Straße ab, die heute für den Verkehr gesperrt ist. Sie endet direkt an der Kreuzung am Beginn der Auffahrt in der Nähe der „Zete della Ponale“. Entlang der spektakulären Ponale-Strecke geht es zurück zum Ausgangspunkt Riva.

Riva del Garda und Torbole sul Garda sind auch mit den öffentlichen Fähren erreichbar.

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.
