Murrells Inlet's Greatest Cruises

My girlfriend’s and I celebrated a birthday on this enchanted sunset cruise. Our Captain was professional, lovely, knowledgeable, engaging and fun. The boat is a beautiful vessel. A perfect BYOB mermaid sunset adventure! Thank you for such a memorable experience! A jewel of Merrill’s Inlet! Highly recommend for a romantic evening, group of friends or families with children. They have a special adventure for everyone!

"Our 5 year old absolutely loved it and for a month afterward has been asking about every other day if we can go again! Our 2 year old was a bit young and not sure what to think. It was a full adventure for the kids, finding things onboard, a water cannon fight with a "pirate," celebrating with fruit juice, etc. The crew had amazing energy and made sure all the kids had a fantastic time! I can't recommend this enough for people with young kids. I'd estimate it's best for 3-8 year olds. And it was a fantastic value. For our kids, this was the highlight of a week in and around Myrtle Beach."

"What a peaceful and pleasant evening cruise! The Captain and his Mate were very hospitable and meet our every need. The scenes were breathtaking and not only did we see the sun set but we captured the full moon arising and it was beyond words. Of course God is the master of the sun, moon, stars and our lives but He outdid Himself on this one and these folks were used of Him to escort us into the scene."

The Hurricane Fleet is the Original Myrtle Beach Dolphin Cruise company. We operate out of the closest port to the Atlantic Ocean, allowing for more time on the water….to search for Dolphins.

On days when the  shrimp boats are running, we are able to pull right up behind to watch the dolphins feeding off the scraps and the nets coming out of the ocean full of fun critters. When the shrimp boat is running, the crew will toss up a bag of goodies for you to see, learn about, and touch if you’d like.

Our base is a cozy, quaint fishing town offering some of the world’s best seafood and unique shops. Located about 10 minutes outside of North Myrtle Beach, at the closest port to the ocean, you’ll have more time on the ocean enjoying the beautiful views of the Myrtle Beach area coastline.

Showing kids ocean finds during our Myrtle Beach Dolphin Tour

This Dolphin Cruise & Tour runs from 1:30-3:30 pm and 4:00 – 6:00 pm most days. We often add a third trip as well. On select days we offer the Dolphin Cruise around sunset. This very popular trip often sells out fast. Whichever tour you take, you’ll have time to eat fresh, world class seafood right in the village before or after your trip. It’s a fantastic combo that families have been enjoying for years. Bring your camera , this is one tour that you’ll want to share.

IMAGINE THIS : Your dolphin tour begins with a nice cruise through the jettys and out into the ocean. As the Myrtle Beach coastline comes into view, our 90-foot tour boat cruises the coast in search of dolphins, giving you a full view of the coastline. This is an excellent way to see the area from a different perspective, while cruising along in a comfortable setting.

This Myrtle Beach dolphin cruise is a trip for the young, and old. Bring the whole family. Every kid on this trip will get a Free Shark Tooth to take home with them.

We did the Dolphin tour. We saw several dolphins. It was well worth it to get out on the ocean. My daughter did get a little sea sick but got through it and obviously it was no fault of hurricane fleet just bring some dramamine along.

Samantha Gardner Avatar

These guys were absolutely amazing! Just don’t bring bananas! Our family of seven took a dolphin cruise. Well worth the value, the crew on board was absolutely amazing! They showed the kids shark teeth shark jaws the captain got us right on dolphins. And just made it a very memorable experience. It gets windy on the water, bring a jacket, also be prepared for a fun ride! A special thanks to crew members, Callie and Colby, and a guy I never caught his name, but he had some slick sunglasses! Haha. Thank you! We took the 1:30p cruise.

Tim Schmidt Avatar

We had a great time! They were great with my kids and really made it enjoyable for all. My son kept calling him “my friend”.

Amanda Murray Avatar

We took the sunset cruise and it was awesome. Got to see a lot of dolphins and the sunset was beautiful. The captain and crew were very friendly and knowledgeable. There were 14 of us ranging from age 14 months to 64 years old and everyone enjoyed it. For the price it was well worth the trip. Highly recommend

Jill Erb Avatar

We LOVED this trip! The mates were so funny and personable, the Captain was really informative and his commentary about all the things we saw was so interesting. He really seems to love sharing the intercoastal waterway with people. We saw dolphins two minutes out of the docks and the captain turned the boat so everyone had a chance to see them. It was magical. The price was incredibly reasonable for a nice long cruise and there is not one single thing I would see done differently. Can't wait to see them again next year!

Forest & Carson were personable, knowledgeable & fun! I 100% recommend them & would take our family on their cruise again. Thank you for a fun time!

For amazing North Myrtle Beach dolphin tours, these attractions are a must-have.

Boat Cruises in Myrtle Beach

boat cruises myrtle beach

Whether you want to go on a dolphin cruise or enjoy the history of a pirate cruise, there are plenty of ways to do it in Myrtle Beach. These boat rides will take you to a variety of areas and let you experience some of the best scenery in the area.

Dolphin cruises

Dolphin cruises are a unique experience. They are not only fun, but they are also a great way to experience the local marine life. Whether you want to take a ride with your friends, family, or your company, dolphin tours in Myrtle Beach are a perfect addition to your vacation plans.

Each cruise has its own unique route. Some take passengers through uninhabited islands and some travel through the Intracoastal Waterway winding through some of the best Real Estate Myrtle Beach has to offer . However, all dolphin cruises are first-rate in terms of boat caliber, hospitality, and overall experience.

In Myrtle Beach, dolphins are usually seen just feet away from the vessel. When the North winds shift in the fall, the dolphins begin to migrate south. This is the time they are most likely to be spotted.

A dolphin cruise is one of the best ways to see dolphins. It’s also a relaxing and inexpensive way to spend an afternoon. Your cruise will leave the beach for the ocean, passing swinging bridges, historic homes, shrimp trawlers, and other landmarks. You’ll also have the opportunity to view a jetty that’s heading out into the ocean.

If you’re traveling with children, you may consider a narrated dolphin tour. This trip will take you through the Intracoastal Waterway, which is home to an abundance of wildlife. Depending on the day and time, you’ll see dolphins, sea horses, and other marine life.

Express Watersports offers narrated dolphin watching tours. These tours can be a half or full day experience. Guests can also choose to ride on a jet ski, which is a great way to get close to the dolphins. The cost for a narrated tour is $18 for kids under two, $22 for those aged three to twelve, and $40 for adults.

Blackbeard’s Pirate Cruise

One of the funkiest family experiences in the area is a tour of the world’s largest pirate ship in North Myrtle Beach. The gang can experience the wonders of the 1700’s aboard the fabled ‘Old Blackbeard’s Black Pearl. This nautical marvel has a reputation for churning out the goods in a manner akin to a well heeled pirate. Whether you are taking the whole gang on a voyage of discovery or embarking on a private charter, you can rest assured your crew is in good hands. It is a cruise you’ll never forget.

Among the most enjoyable moments is seeing the crew clap the ‘Old Blackbeard’s scotch in hand. The crew will show off their skills as they go about their business. For the kids, they can engage in games and activities that teach them a thing or two about their pirate brethren. The adults can take a break from the kiddos to check out the sights. As one of the only family-friendly cruises in the area, you’ll be able to savor the good ol’ days of sail without a second thought. You may even have an opportunity to sample some local fare at the many restaurants onboard. During your two or more hours of fun, you’ll also have a chance to win a tidbit or two. So if you’re looking for a little history, maritime lore and a few drinks with your crew, don’t pass up the opportunity to set sail for adventure.

Island Time Cruises

There’s no denying that one of the most relaxing and uplifting ways to spend your time in North Myrtle Beach is a good old-fashioned boat ride on the water. Luckily for you, there are several companies in the area that offer this experience in the form of sightseeing cruises, dinner cruises, and other fun-filled excursions. Depending on what type of vessel you opt for, you’ll be rewarded with a smooth ride, a full-service bar, and other amenities. Whether you are traveling with the family or planning a corporate outing, Island Time has you covered.

The most enjoyable part of the experience is seeing the dazzling view as you sail along the shores of the Grand Strand. Depending on your preferences, you can choose between a sunset sightseeing cruise or a full-day outing. All of these tours include a variety of activities like an open bar, live music, and even chocolate-covered strawberries. To make things even better, you can enjoy the experience with your own personal crew. This is the ultimate in customized experiences, especially for groups of any size.

For the money, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better experience than the one offered by Island Time. This company is the perfect choice for a family reunion, corporate outing, or simply a day on the town. While you’re on board, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for dolphins in the waters off of your ship’s bow. Hopefully you’ll see one or two. And, for those with a thing for boats, you’ll find that Island Time is a great way to spend a rainy afternoon.

Of course, you don’t have to go far to find the best sailing catamaran in the Myrtle Beach area. Located in the Fantasy Harbour district, this company provides a taste of the best of the sea without leaving the dock.

River Island Adventures

There are a variety of different boat tours in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. While some are merely sightseeing cruises, others offer kayaking, fishing and more. These activities are available all year round. You can also enjoy a meal while you are out on a yacht.

River Island Adventures is also home to dozens of river toys. You can choose to rent a kayak, tube or stand up paddle board, or participate in an inner tube trip.

Another popular ride is the SkyWheel. This gondola is fully enclosed, air-conditioned and heated. Riders can look forward to the stunning views of the beach and sapphire waters.

Aside from the water, you can also explore the nature trails on the island. At certain times, you may see eagles, black bears, and alligators.

Other activities you can take part in at River Island include swimming, river tubing, and even a full moon paddling with s’mores. Visit them online to learn more about their services.

Ocean Annie’s Resorts

One of the most popular activities at this hotel is laying out by the oceanfront pool and soaking up the sun. Another must-try activity is the East Coast Brewboat, a start-of-the-art vessel that’s a popular spot for bachelor and bachelorette parties.

Another exciting activity is playing a round of golf at a nearby course. There are several world-class courses near this resort. If you’re looking for more relaxation, you can head to the nearby Atlantis Spa, which is a full service spa.

If you’re in the mood for a night out, check out the Oceanfront Pier, which has live music, a rooftop bar, and games. You can also visit Broadway at the Beach, a massive complex featuring more than 350 shops and restaurants. It’s also a short drive away from the Carolina Opry Theater.

For something more romantic, you can try an enchanting sailboat cruise. Enchanted Sailing Charters has nine different excursions to choose from, including a private sunset dinner cruise and an all-day voyage to serene Bird Island. This is a perfect option for a mid-sized family.

Another exciting option is the Aspen Grille, which offers a stylish dining setting and USDA prime beef. The restaurant also features an extensive wine selection.

Other amenities include a meeting room and free Wi-Fi. Guests can also enjoy discounts on local attractions and free mini-golf. Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway or an adventure with the family, this Myrtle Beach property is the perfect choice.

Glowing Reviews of Our Crew

This was my 5th trip with the Voyager crew. Went on the 12 to 13 hour Gulf stream trip. As usual it was A+++ service, captain Greg got us on the fish and enjoyed the day fishing. As the day went on the fish got bigger!...

Captain Keith and his crew were great. I went twice, once with friends and once with my hubby. We didn’t find dolphins on the 2nd trip out but that’s okay, it was still a beautiful boat ride. 2 and 1/2 hours on the intracoastal and ocean waters for $30 can’t be beat.

I had the best time! We went during the week and the boat was not too crowded. I caught fish, no keepers - but fun, and had a great time. The crew was amazing Dennis, Nick, and Connor were friendly, personable, funny, and very helpful without being condescending to the inexperienced. They kept safety in mind and I enjoyed the way they interacted with all the clients. The Captain was good and all went well. Highly recommend!

Kathy is Amazing, she greets you & Annette takes a photo before you board. The crew was Fantastic very informative about the water way & sights along the way. When we all spotted the Dolphins the Capt. Stopped long enough for all of us to see them & try to get pics. They dolphins were very busy around the ship.

What is the season for the Ocean Sightseeing/Dolphin Watch?

At Express Watersports our Ocean Sightseeing/Dolphin Watch runs from March to early December.

What is 360 degree viewing?

360 degree viewing is a sales gimmick. There is no such thing as 360 degree viewing unless you're alone on a boat. All tour boats have people on board and dolphins are below the water line of a boat. People will stand up to see them down in the water. We position our vessel so that both sides and the back of the boat will get the opportunity to see the dolphins. All of our guests are free to walk around our boat and move from side to side. We do not have individual seating so that you're NOT trapped in your seat to see dolphin.

How do dolphins sleep?

Bottlenose dolphins never completely fall asleep. Dolphins only let one half of their brain sleep at a time. Dolphins let the right side of their brain go to sleep while the left side stays awake to control the breathing. Then, a little while later, the right side wakes up and the left side falls asleep.

What kind of dolphin will we see?

Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin

Do dolphins have friends?

Yes! Dolphins develop friendships that may last for more than 15 years! These dolphins often pair up and help each other out. Female dolphins also pick an 'auntie' dolphin to help them take care of their babies after birth!

Can we feed or swim with the dolphin?

No. there are federal guidelines that prohibit us from feeding or swimming with dolphin.

How many boats can be on one dolphin pod?

Noaa Marine guidelines states The maximum number of vessels within group of dolphins at any time should be no more than two.

What is the marine mammal protection act?

The MMPA prohibits the taking and importation of marine mammals and marine mammal products, where “take” means to harass, feed, hunt, capture, or kill any marine mammal, or to attempt to do so. "Harass" means to follow the same dolphin pod on multiple trips, rev engines and speed through the dolphins to scare them off so other boats cant see them, block the dolphins direction of travel, and getting closer than 50 yards, spending more than 30 minutes on viewing the same pod and swimming with and feeding dolphin is prohibited.

Are you apart of Dolphin Smart program?

Dolphin Smart program is a NOAA Federal Program. We follow all the guidelines set forth in the program. NOAA Dolphin Smart program is not available in the Carolinas so we can not be apart of it at this time.

How many years have you've been doing dolphin watches?

Since 1997. We started doing them on our Sunrise parasail trips. We had the dolphin logo on all of our advertisement. We started doing them on our dive boat in 2000 after dive trips. We run them daily. We are the longest running dolphin watch Family owned company in Murrells Inlet.

Are you carbon neutral?

This is another sales term gimmick tour companies use to promote their business as being green. Companies are promoting this in advertising to describe the business as buying carbon credits or carbon offsets to be "Carbon Neutral" to justify how much they are polluting the planet. It's quite simple. You're either creating emissions or you're not. Tour companies use this a book keeping trick to balance what they are doing in the environment. It is called Green Washing. It allows carbon emitters to keep on emitting carbon while masquerading as green company. Don't be fooled by this.

What Our Customers Are Saying

We went on the dolphin tour last Thursday and if you're thinking about taking one I highly suggest going with this outfit. They don't over pack the boat so everyone can see, you can sit in the shade if your prefer, there's a clean bathroom on board, and refreshments if you need them. The best part though other than obviously seeing the dolphins is the crews knowledge of the area and the animals that inhabit the land and water surrounding it. I learned so many cool things on our trip which is what made it for me. We've been out to see dolphins before and that was it a boat ride with sites no crew interaction so yeah I would definitely recommend these guys!! — Amanda L.
Wonderful experience! The crew were very knowledgeable and friendly and made the experience great! We loved seeing the dolphins and even got to see the first leatherback sea turtle of the season! Fun thing to do for your trip to Myrtle Beach! — John W.

Description About Voyager Deep Sea Fishing and Dolphin Cruises

Love fishing or want to try something new on your next Myrtle Beach vacation? Then check out Voyager Deep Sea Fishing and Dolphin Cruises, voted #1 in the area for 12 years in a row!

Dolphin Cruises

Voyager’s Dolphin Cruise is a 2.5-hour dolphin sightseeing cruise that provides an exciting marine adventure for all ages. The cruise travels up the Intracoastal Waterway and out to the inlet, where passengers will have the opportunity to see wild dolphins in their natural habitat.

The cruise takes place on a large and comfortable vessel with two decks, two bathrooms, and a spacious snack bar featuring restaurant-style seating. The boat maintains a comfortable cruising speed for a smooth ride. The captain, familiar with dolphin habitats, will make every effort to locate these fascinating creatures.

Passengers can observe the Shrimp Boat Fleet working their nets during feeding time. If weather permits, the crew may haul a net onboard, revealing a variety of sea creatures including shrimp, crabs, fish, and more.

Food and beverages can be purchased at the snack bar. Passengers are also welcome to bring a small cooler with their own food and drinks.

Fishing Trips and Charters

Voyager offers tons of options for avid anglers and novice fishermen, including ½ Day Fishing Trips, Night Shark Fishing, 12-Hour Gulf Stream Trips, 24-Hour Gulf Stream Trips, and Private Sport Fishing Charters. Each trip is run by a professional crew that provides top-notch service for an unforgettable experience.

Voyager’s fleet is maintained to the highest standards in the industry. Their Continental Shelf & Super Voyager III are the largest and finest party fishing boats on the Grand Strand. The 100′ Continental Shelf is fully re-powered with all 3 brand new high-powered John Deer 750 HP Turbo Diesels. This gets you to the Gulf Stream faster so you can spend less time waiting and more time fishing.

Tackle, license, bait, and ice are included on every trip.
