2 pax will arrive at Kochi by flight at 2050 on 23.02.2019. Another pax will arrive at Kochi on 24.02.2019 at 2050. So we are a group of 3 (2 females and one male adults). Enjoy your lunch and after noon go for half day sightseeing tour in cochin. Day 2 - Munnar : Enjoy your breakfast from KTDC Bolgatty Palace and proceed to Munnar, which is around 120 KM away and approximate travel time is 3 hours and 30 minutes. On the way you can enjoy the beauty of Neriamangalam bridge which is built in 1935. The other sightseeing on the way to Munnar from cochin are Cheeyappara & Valara waterfalls, Karadipara view point etc. Check in the KTDC Tea County Resort and relax for the day.

Day 3 - Munnar : After breakfast, proceed for Munnar full day sightseeing. Cochin boat cruise/Sightseeing ( Half day tour)

terrible experience, dont vist it during weekends, pls carry some snacks or food items..u r always in a group say 30-35 people and if a group has to catch a train ..ur trip will be cut short , better visit the places by a taxi for more detail trip..and take a 1 hour evening sunset trip.

To start with the experience is excellent and I do recommend a backwater trip during your stay in kochi. The only thing is that the staff which works here is disrespectful and do not understand what they are doing. We talked to them on the evening before and made sure that they had a trip for the morning the following day. But when we arrived it was cancelled due to not enough people. But they had one at 14.30 in the evening which was confirmed to happen. So we waited till that trip and when we arrived at the scheduled departing time we paid for the trip and were seated on the ship. Nothing happend. After 20 minutes waiting on the ship with out an explanation of why we haven't set off I asked the person there why we haven't left. He just said to wait 10 more minutes and that he was going to call someone. After 45 minutes late departure we finally casted off. During the trip they just drove the route and if something happend like a fisherman picking up a Chinese fishingnet they just drove past it not even for a second lowering the speed so people could have a look. And when we came out to see the sunset they showed their true colours when they said that we shuld have lifejacket on. They only had a childesize jacket to me which is in direct conflict of s.o.l.a.s which is the international law of safety equipment at sea. So my recommendation is to do a trip on the backwaters but not with this company.

This is a completely different experience. they take you approx 35 km away to Vaikom and their you travel in a canoe, through the canals in the village. This was a good opportunity to see the village life closely. we saw different birds like, kingfisher, wood peckers, cormorants, ducks etc. Water snakes etc. We also saw coirmaking, mat making using the wild pineapple leaves. various trees / herbs/ creepers of Spices, Pineapples, pepper, wild almonds, water lillies, lotus etc. Must see trip for kids, where they get close to nature.

We booked it online and got the "first confirmation " in our email. There was a little bit of tension in the office as we came to Kerala, meaning "we don't have any places anymore for tomorrow ". In the end we solved the problem and the tour was awesome. We were picked up by the driver from our Homestay in Fort Kochi and drove to a small and charming village in the middle of a palm trees and banana tries forest. We had the first part of the trip in a small covered boat (we were 4). The guide spoke very good english and showed us a lot of birds and explained us the meaning of many plants and spices. The lunch took place by a local family and it was delicious. The second part was conducted in a canoe boat through the small canals. On our way back took a tasty tee in a local house. The trip ended afternoon as we returned to the homestay. It was a lovely and unforgettable day and we definitely recommend this tour. For something like this you would have to pay more than 11€ in Europe !!

The guided tour in and around marine drive is horrible, if u don't know the language. but the rest is good,

We did the sunset tour in Kochi last week with KTDC and it was a complete disaster: a few minutes of comments without any translation in English, load music dated back to the 90s and a so called "disco show" 2 men wearing ridiculous glittering t-shirt and moving like they had a nervous disease. No sightseeing what so ever, the boat is even facing the sunset so you don't get to see it at all - unbelievable. It was really 2hours of suffering (I had earplugs on the whole time). Not adapted at all to foreigners we were lied to by the KTDC staff while buying their very expensive tickets. We lost a precious time we could have used for doing something else - anything would have been better, and we felt robbed by KTDC. Plenty of companies offer real sightseeing tours at sunset on Ernakulam promenade, you can pick any of them, it cannot be worse than KTDC and it will be cheaper.
