Day wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Journey towards Bangalore-Coimbatore and local sightseeing

The tour starts with your pick up from the hotel or residence at your preferred time slot. You will begin your journey to Coimbatore which is about 350 KM from Bangalore. On the way, if you take a route via Somanathpura then you can visit Chennakesava Temple, which is one of the finest Hoysala architecture and soak in the history related to it. After the visit, continue your journey and arrive at Coimbatore and you can visit some of the places as suggested below: Marudamalai temple: A temple dedicated to Karthikeyan and is considered to be 1200 years old. Gedee Car Museum: You can find the cars manufactured in Britain, Japan, France, Germany and America under one roof. VOC Park & Zoo: It is a zoological park with an aquarium and it also has a model of Dinaousar. After the day's tour, you will be dropped back to the hotel in Coimbatore.

Day 2 : Visit Isha Yoga Centre and drive back to Bangalore

Start the tour post breakfast and check out from the hotel in the morning, visit Isha Yoga Centre. This is a meditation and yoga centre which is located in the foothills of Velliaingiri and is a centre for self-transformation. Witness Adi Yogi Shiva statue which has been recognised by the Guinness World Records as the "Largest Bust Sculpture” in the world. Spend some time and start the journey back to Bangalore. You will be dropped back to the starting location to end the tour.

Spiritual Journey - Isha Foundation

I am assuming you are in Coimbatore to visit the Isha Foundation. It is located between mountains, with lush greenery on all sides. I suggest you leave early morning from your place for your spiritual journey. You can take the local bus from Gandhipuram bus stand, every 20-30 mins you'll get a bus, ticket will cost you Rs.40 or you can go by cab which will cost you approximately 400-500. Once you reach there you have to deposit your bag, phone and other valuables. So I couldn't take any photos, sorry ;) Once you go in, you can watch the introduction video. There are two kunds(poole) one for males and one for females. These pools are energized by rasalingas, which have been consecrated by Sadhguru. For females it is Chandrakund and for males it is Suryakund. They increase the receptivity to the energies of the dhyanalinga. Don't forget to carry towels. From here you can proceed to the Bhairav Linga, go before 12.30 as it closes from 12.30-4.30. Don't forget to attend the yoga sessions, they are free and useful. Then go to the main attraction, Dhyanalinga ( meditation center ). It is absolutely divine and spiritual. Spend your own time in there. There is a canteen where you can eat, next to it is the Isha shoppee, where you can get clothings, bags, interior items, medicines and all. It's a bit expensive though. Now that you are done, go out and walk towards the Adiyogi statue. You can even take a bullock cart ride. It's and amazing piece of architecture, which you must see. And with this your divine journey comes to an end.

P.S. I would suggest everyone to stay at Isha Foundation for one night atleast, you can book a cottage by contacting them prior.

  DAY1 | INTRODUCTION TO ST PETERSBURG

• Peter and Paul Fortress – the oldest architectural monument in the city. The date of the foundation of this foundation is considered the date of the foundation of St Petersburg itself. From its establishment the history of the city begins. In the fortress’s Ss Peter and Paul’s Cathedral almost all emperors and empresses of Russia are buried, including Peter the Great, Catherine the Great and Nicholas II and his family.

• Bronze Horseman – this is a symbol of the city; an equestrian statue of Peter the Great which was given to the city by Catherine the Great.
• Strelka of Vasilievsky Island - the strelka is the very tip of the island and many old and interesting museums are found here. Also here are two old lighthouses featuring statues of personifications of Russian rivers.
• Our Lady of Kazan Cathedral – this is one of the largest working Orthodox cathedrals in St Petersburg. It was Emperor Paul who desired the cathedral to resemble St Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Work only began in 1801, after Paul's assassination, and was completed in 1811. It subsequently became a monument to the Russian victory over Napoleon in 1812.
• Peter the Great’s Cabin – this is one of the few buildings to survive from the era of the city’s famous founder.
• Avrora Cruiser – another symbol of the city; it took part in military action in the Far East, but more famously played a role in the Russian Revolution as it fired a shot to begin the storming of the Winter Palace.

  DAY3 | HERMITAGE AND ST ISAAC CATHEDRAL

  Hermitage (Winter Palace) – the Winter Palace is the main sight in St Petersburg. From 1762 to 1904 the palace served as the official winter residence of the Russian emperors. Its rich and varied architecture and sculptured décor have no match in St Petersburg. The Italian architect Rastrelli began building the palace in 1754 in the exuberant baroque style during the reign of Empress Elizabeth and so the style became known as Elizabethan baroque. The palace only took its final form during the reign of Empress Catherine the Great. It has over 1000 rooms, 117 staircases and around 2000 windows and doors. Today it holds the Hermitage – one of the world’s largest art galleries.
