U.S. Capitol to resume dome tours led by members of Congress on Monday

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - As part of the phased reopening of the United States Capitol to visitors, dome tours led by a member of Congress will resume on April 25.

Dome tours will continue to be handled by Capitol Visitor Center Visitor Services and visitor guides will lead all tours into the dome. A member of Congress must personally accompany each dome tour.

Capitol officials note that dome tours are physically challenging and strenuous. The member and tour participants must climb over 300 steps in single file to reach the top of the dome and these steps consist of a series of steep, narrow, spiral, curved and irregularly spaced landings and stairs.

The Office of Attending Physician strongly advises that all persons with heart, back, neck, knee, acrophobia (a fear of heights) or breathing problems, as well as those with difficulty in bending, or with any disability that may prevent them from walking unaided (cane, walker, etc.) should not go on a dome tour.

Capitol Visitor Services will begin taking dome tour reservations on April 11. All dome tours are scheduled on a first-available basis and reservations must be made by calling 202-593-1762.

The maximum dome tour group size is seven guests, plus the member of Congress and a Visitor Services Guide. Dome tours are offered Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. through 3 p.m. with one tour per hour.

No one under the age of 10 years old is an appropriate candidate for participating in a dome tour. In addition, children may not be carried on a dome tour; parents/guardians must have both hands free at all times.

Each member of Congress is limited to no more than one dome tour reservation per day.

SEVENTEEN Announces Dates And Cities For 2022 World Tour "BE THE SUN"

SEVENTEEN has announced the dates for their upcoming dome tour in Japan!

On June 23, Pledis Entertainment confirmed the dates for SEVENTEEN’s Japanese dome shows as part of the group’s “BE THE SUN” world tour.

SEVENTEEN will perform at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka on November 19 and 20, followed by the Tokyo Dome on November 26 to 27, and finally the Vantelin Dome in Nagoya on December 3 and 4.

This will be SEVENTEEN’s very first dome tour after their previous plans for a dome tour in May 2020 were  canceled  due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

SEVENTEEN is gearing up to kick off their “BE THE SUN” world tour this weekend with their first two concerts at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome on June 25 and 26. Afterwards, they will perform in 12 different cities in the United States and Canada as well as four cities across Asia including Jakarta, Bangkok, Manila, and Singapore.

SEVENTEEN is heading abroad on a world tour!

On May 17 KST, SEVENTEEN officially announced their plans for a new world tour entitled “BE THE SUN.”

After kicking things off with two nights of concerts at Seoul’s Gocheok Sky Dome on June 25 and 26, SEVENTEEN will head to North America, where they will perform in arenas in 12 different cities in the United States and Canada.

SEVENTEEN will be performing in Vancouver on August 10, Seattle on August 12, Oakland on August 14, Los Angeles on August 17, Houston on August 20, Fort Worth on August 23, Chicago on August 25, Washington, DC on August 28, Atlanta on August 30, Belmont Park on September 1, Toronto on September 3, and Newark on September 6.

Although specific dates and cities have not yet been revealed for the remainder of their tour, PLEDIS Entertainment has announced that SEVENTEEN will also be embarking on an arena tour of Asia and holding six dome shows in Japan from November to December.

• It was released on January 18, 2023 and this will kick off their four-month consecutive release project.
• Includes the over 2.5 hour-long Tokyo Dome concert where they performed 37 songs. This concert is from " King & Prince First DOME TOUR 2022 ~Mr.~ " their first Dome concert that toured 4 cities in Japan since this April. The limited first edition includes a 2-hour-long documentary. It includes rehearsal footage of King & Prince working together to create the performance, behind-the-scenes footage of all four cities of the dome tour, digests of each performance at the Mr. Kyunpuri Theater, and much more. In addition, to make the video products even more enjoyable, Mr. Kyunpuri special projects were filmed at each location on the morning of the performance. This edition includes the Tokyo and Nagoya versions. The limited edition is a luxury boxed set featuring the main design of this concert logo designed by Kaito Takahashi. Enclosed in the box is a 60-page photo booklet and smartphone sized sticker featuring five different logos drawn by Takahashi.
• The bonus video for the regular edition includes a digest of the first day of the tour at Fukuoka Dome including the MC. In addition, two song is " Cinderella Girl " and " NANANA " will be included as dance shot videos. In addition, in order to make the video products even more enjoyable, Mr. Special Program was filmed at various locations on the morning of the performance. The regular edition will include the Fukuoka and Osaka versions.

NCT 127 Announce Japan Dome Tour In 2022 — And Fans Couldn’t Be Happier For Yuta

NCT 127 have officially announced that they will be doing a tour in Japan this year, and fans were particularly excited for Yuta , as it will be his chance to finally come home.

The group made the announcement during their NEO CITY: JAPAN – THE LINK concert held on January 2022, and it was particularly heartwarming to see Yuta make the announcement himself. He revealed that he had been really excited to personally share the news with fans, and judging from the smile on his face as he did so, fans are convinced he really means it!

The dates for the tour have been revealed to be from May to June, and they include stops at three key locations.

Johnny's WEST will hold their very first dome tour ' Johnny's WEST 1st DOME TOUR 2022 TO BE KANSAI COLOR -Tobe Kansai Kara- ' this summer. 

Johnny's WEST was originally scheduled to perform at Tokyo Dome and Kyocera Dome Osaka in 2020, but they were canceled due to the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic. For the upcoming tour, they are scheduled to perform at three dome venues from July to August. Check out the schedule below!

Carolyn collins petersen.

Carolyn Collins Petersen is CEO of Loch Ness Productions and a member of IMERSA's Board of Directors. She has written more than 65 fulldome shows, and is an accomplished science writer with seven books, and several major astronomy exhibitions in the U.S. and China to her name. Carolyn partnered with composer Mark C. Petersen (of 

GEODESIUM fame) to create their production company, which also offers distribution for fulldome titles as well as a streaming service. For IMERSA, she is instrumental in policy decisions and event planning, including this year's Summit in Montreal, as well as a series of virtual Summits held during the height of the pandemic.

Monica Bolles

Monica Bolles is a digital artist, audio engineer, and composer who brings together a curiosity of emerging technologies, science, and immersive design to create space for the exploration of human experience in an ever evolving and transforming world. She has been creating content for fulldome, immersive theaters, and spatial audio arrays since 2011 when she first gained access to her local planetarium. She is both a technician, an artist, and a commentator in her fields. Monica is on the IMERSA advisory board, co-founder of The Dome Tour, and co-host of the Immersive Audio Podcast. She has produced and presented works that have been exhibited in the 140-channel speaker array at the Cube at Virginia Tech, the IMERSA Fulldome Summit, and the Conference of World Affairs, among others.

Brianna Amore

Brianna Amore is a 3D designer and animator who has worked with domes for over almost 20 years. Her first experiences came from running chill stages and organizing electronic music festivals in Western Canada where she discovered the power of the circular format in creating meaningful and engaging musical and healing experiences.

From then on she was hooked and in 2013 she moved to Los Angeles to create fulldome content with some of the top names in the entertainment and music industry. After making a name for herself by being one of the animators on Mesmerica, she went on to direct and animate The Journey which won the Audience Choice Award at DomeFestWest 2021.

Future and Metro Boomin’s ‘We Don’t Trust You Tour’ coming to the Golden 1 Center

(FOX40.COM) — Rapper and music producer duo Future and Metro Boomin announced a nationwide tour with Sacramento as one of its stops.

The duo’s 27-date “We Trust You Tour” will come to the Golden 1 Center on Sept. 3. A supporting act is not listed on an advertisement on the Golden 1 Center’s social media accounts.

Future, a three-time Grammy winner, and Metro Boomin, a Grammy-nominated record producer, will begin the 27-date trek on July 30 at Kansas City and will conclude the tour on Sept. 9 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Sacramento is one of three California cites on the tour. The duo will also perform in Inglewood at the Intuit Dome on Aug. 31 and at the Oakland Arena on Sept. 4.

Tickets for the Sacramento concert go on sale Friday, April 19 at 10 a.m. A presale for Cash App Card members begins on April 17 at 10 a.m. and concludes April 18 at 10 p.m.

The tour supports Future and Metro Boomin’s recently released collaboration albums, “We Don’t Trust You,” and “We Still Don’t Trust You.”

“We Don’t Trust You” was released on March 22 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts, according to a press release. “We Still Don’t Trust You” was released on April 12.

In addition to dropping a new album on April 12, the popular rapper just announced his 27-concert arena ‘We Trust You Tour’ with producer Metro Boomin.

Midway through the summer run, the Hip-Hop icons are slated to drop into Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Thursday, Aug. 15.

Future and Metro Boomin new music

On April 12, Future and Metro Boomin dropped their electric two-disc album “We Don’t Trust You.”

Comprised of 25 tracks, the record is a showcase for Metro Boomin’s glittery production and Future’s impeccable flow.

After a few listens, we were wowed by the trippy “Jealous,” soaring “Right 4 You” and blissed out “Gracious.”

However, our team couldn’t stop coming back to the hypnotic, retro-futuristic sound of the album opener “We Still Don’t Trust You” featuring The Weeknd. Listen once and you’ll come back for more, too; a single spin simply does not suffice with music this catchy.

CHEVELLE Announces Summer 2024 Headline Tour

Multi-platinum rock band CHEVELLE will be heading back out on the road this summer.

In addition to appearances at Inkcarceration and Rock Fest , the band will embark on a headline run that kicks off July 21 in Omaha and runs through August 10 in Madison. TIGERCUB will serve as support. All dates are below.

During an appearance on Joel Madden 's podcast "Artist Friendly" , CHEVELLE frontman Pete Loeffler spoke about the band's plans for the follow-up to 2021's "Niratias" LP. He said: "We've tracked 10 full-length songs at this point for the new album. We signed a new contract to put out one more [LP]. So we're in the process of finishing that up. So there's definitely one more [album] coming."

Regarding a possible timetable for the release of the new CHEVELLE music, Pete said: "It's hard to say when it'll [be released]. It's kind of stewing right now. We did eight songs, set 'em aside, took a break, did two more recently. I was actually just wrapping it up yesterday — the second song — and burned a mix so I could listen to it on the plane on the way here. I've gotta go revisit those other eight now and say, 'Are they done?' We mixed one and it sounded great. [I'm] super happy about it. That whole process started again. I went back and I listened to it. I was, like, 'Can I rewrite this song?' as a just kind of something to try and wrote an entirely different model of that song again. And this is what Pro Tools will get you into. You're, like, 'Oh, I can, I can quickly do something that in the past I'd have to sit down and map out with my brother in real time.' So it's good and bad. The only bad side is that I'm spending the time to learn that system instead of writing."

Back in 2022, CHEVELLE drummer Sam Loeffler told Knotfest 's Cori Westbrook about the band's songwriting process: "Well, Pete 's our songwriter so he's our lyricist and everything. Basically, he just writes about what's going on around him. If he's taking the garbage out that night or has a bad day driving, he's watching a documentary that really affected him, he hears a podcast — so he's writing about those kinds of things. So if you're able to internalize that kind of a thing, I think you have a lot to write about. It doesn't just have to be a relationship that — a relationship with your dad or your significant other. I think those are some pretty powerful feelings — I get it — but if you are able to bring in all those other things in from your everyday life, there's a lot more to write about. So as far as inspiration goes, it's not hard to find; it's everywhere; it's all around you. And especially nowadays, we have so much access to what's going on around us that there's even more ideas to pull from."

In a separate interview with Heavy New York , Sam said that he and Pete had "a whole bunch of music written... Because that's what we do — you put music out, you write… It'll be our first record in a long time not with a major label, which is just neither here nor there," he added. " Epic Records did a lot of good stuff; we were with them for a long time, but we're finished with that contract now. So now we're doing something different. And we'll see how different it is."

Released in March 2021 via Epic Records , "Niratias" was recorded throughout 2019 and 2020 with longtime producer Joe Barresi ( AVENGED SEVENFOLD , QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE ). The album artwork was designed by Boris Vallejo — the famed and award-winning artist is responsible for the posters used for films like "Knightriders" and "National Lampoon's Vacation" , as well as iconic '70s and '80s science fiction novel covers and magazines (such as Heavy Metal ).

Over the course of its career, the Chicago rockers have generated nearly half a billion streams, notched seven No. 1 hits, and sold out shows worldwide. Their catalog spans the double-platinum "Wonder What's Next" , which boasts the double-platinum smash "The Red" and the platinum hit "Send The Pain Below" . "This Type Of Thinking (Could Do Us In)" attained platinum status, while "Vena Sera" was certified gold. Cashless Facility

The Tacoma Dome is a cashless facility, including all concession and merchandise sales. Google Pay and Apple Pay are also available at concession points of sale. There are cash-to-card kiosks (reverse ATM’s) where guests can exchange their cash for a Tacoma Dome VISA card.  Card balances remain usable anywhere after the event.  Going cashless improves the transaction process, reduces wait times, and limits guest to staff contact. Let us guide your way! Please follow our  recommended routes  - use of Exit 133 from I-5 is not advised. For real-time traffic, we suggest using  Waze .  Parking  in Tacoma Dome lots is $30 and may be limited. 

Tacoma Link Light Rail is currently closed for construction. Free shuttle buses will service all stations during normal operating hours.  The shuttle will be running extended hours post-show until approximately midnight.

Security measures are in place for all Tacoma Dome events, including metal detectors and a  clear bag policy . Weapons of any kind, including pocket knives, are not allowed. Guests should use Upper NW and Upper SW entry doors. Recommended doors for our guests with disabilities are the Lower NW.

Future and Metro Boomin are no strangers to collaboration, so it makes sense that they would announce a co-headlining tour this summer. The We Trust You Tour will support the rapper/producers’ recent collab albums We Don’t Trust You and We Still Don’t Trust You . No supporting acts have been announced yet.

Future & Metro Boomin Announce 2024 We Trust You Tour: Here Are the Dates

The rapper-producer combo hits the road this summer..

Future and Metro Boomin are looking to heat up the summer, as the rapper-producer duo will be hitting the road in support of their pair of albums.

Live Nation announced the We Trust You Tour on Tuesday (April 16), and the arena trek is slated to kick off in Kansas City, Mo., at the T-Mobile Center on July 30. Openers and supporting acts have not yet been announced.

Metro Boomin and Future’s 27-date North American tour will be making stops in Detroit, Atlanta, Brooklyn, Boston, Philly, Houston, Toronto, Las Vegas, Seattle and more before wrapping up north of the border on Sept. 9 in Vancouver, B.C., at Rogers Arena.

Tickets will be available to Cash App Card customers starting on Wednesday (April 17), while the general public will get their chance on Friday (April 19) on the Live Nation website at 10 a.m. local venue time.

VIP packages are also available for those interested in a package that will include a photo-op in front of the stage, access to a VIP lounge, a VIP gift item and more perks. Cash App Card members will also receive discounts on tour merchandise purchased on-site at venues.

Future and Metro sprinted out of the gates with their We Don’t Trust You album in March, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 251,000 total album-equivalent units in the week ending March 28, per Luminate.

Album standout “Like That” featuring Kendrick Lamar’s atomic bomb on the rap game is spending a third week atop the Billboard Hot 100. The fiery track soared to No. 1 on the Hot 100 and is the first rap song to spend its first three weeks at the summit since Drake’s “Nice for What.”

Federal regulators are reportedly planning to sue the concert giant over claims that it abused its dominance to undermine competition.

The U.S. Department of Justice is planning to sue Live Nation over alleged violations of federal antitrust laws, according to a report by the Wall Street Journal.

A lawsuit will be filed within weeks that alleges the concert giant leveraged its dominance over the live music industry to undermine competition for ticketing, the Journal reported Tuesday , citing people familiar with the matter. Few other details about the planned case were revealed.

Live Nation has faced widespread criticism from angry fans and lawmakers since its botched handling of Taylor Swift’s “Eras” tour in 2022. Days after the incident, news broke that the DOJ had already been investigating Live Nation for months over potential antitrust violations.

Representatives for Live Nation and the DOJ did not immediately return requests for comment from Billboard .

Since Live Nation and Ticketmaster merged in 2010, the company has long faced criticism that it exerts an unfair dominance over the market for live concerts. The DOJ approved the merger at the time, but imposed a so-called consent decree designed to prevent the company from abusing its position. Those restrictions were set to expire in 2020, but they were extended by five years after the DOJ accused Live Nation of repeatedly violating the decree.

That same criticism resurfaced in late 2022 with the disastrous roll out of tickets to Swift’s tour, which saw widespread service delays and website crashes as millions of fans tried – and many failed – to buy tickets. Live Nation pinned the blame on a “staggering number of bot attacks,” but lawmakers quickly argued that the incident was the result of a market dominated by one company.

“Ticketmaster’s power in the primary ticket market insulates it from the competitive pressures that typically push companies to innovate and improve their services,” said Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), the chair of the Senate subcommittee for antitrust issues.

In December 2022, the New York Times reported that DOJ had already been investigating Live Nation for months before the Swift debacle, including reaching out to venues across the country to ask about the company’s conduct. A year later, Reuters reported that the probe was ongoing , with federal investigators focusing on whether Live Nation imposed anticompetitive agreements on venues.

Last year, Live Nation hired Dan Wall , a veteran competition attorney who previously headed the antitrust practice at the law firm Latham & Watkins, as an executive vice president for corporate and regulatory affairs. In a blog post last month, Wall publicly defended the company against allegations similar to those that could be coming in the DOJ’s lawsuit, arguing that ticket prices were set by artists and driven up by the forces of supply and demand.

“In the ongoing antitrust attacks on Live Nation and Ticketmaster, a constant theme is that their alleged ‘monopolies’ are responsible for high ticket prices,” Wall wrote. “Rhetorically, that’s understandable, because if you want to rile up fans against Live Nation and Ticketmaster, there is no better way than to blame them for something you know fans dislike.”
