Why Take Our School Trip
Safety First!
We prioritize the safety of your child above all else. Rest assured that your child will be safe with us!
Professional Teachers
Our talented and enthusiastic teachers are all experienced working with under 18s .
Fun! Fun! Fun!
Our activities are engaging, inspiring, and, above all, fun! We place a strong emphasis on education and safety.
What Makes Our School Trips Different From Others
More Than Just A Field Trip
Our visits to famous landmarks go beyond mere sightseeing. Students will be given tasks that encourage creative thinking, speaking with locals in Chinese, and problem-solving. It’s an opportunity to learn while exploring!
Teacher To Student Ratio
We maintain a low teacher-to-student ratio, providing at least one staff member as a chaperone for every 5-10 students on all field trips. Unlike other schools, we ensure close supervision and care for our students.
Integrated Learning
Our students have access to our online learning platform, which includes a library of Chinese lessons and tests. They can continue reviewing their lessons at home and further study Chinese even after leaving China.
Innovative Chinese Classes
We employ our own innovative teaching methods that make classes fun and highly engaging. This approach encourages students to learn actively and participate in the classroom, resulting in significant improvement in their Chinese skills.

The school is welcoming, organized and tailored for the needs of students. Our children enjoyed attending every day and the staff were outstanding. We will look to come again next summer and perhaps also continue with online classes!
CINDY W. | Parent of Student
My experience here has been all amazing. I like the teachers; they’re all experienced and really good. The other students are very nice too. I’m always interacting with the other students and nobody feels left out. It’s a really nice environment to learn.
ELIOT | Student
I enjoyed the activities we did. For example, the Saturday trip to Shanghai Financial Tower, the Bund and Shanghai museum with a teacher who taught us Chinese on the way was a great experience! Calligraphy was also another activity I really enjoyed.

Frequently asked questions about School Trips to China
There are currently no travel restrictions between Macau and Mainland China. Tourist visas are not being granted to visitors to Mainland China at this time. Upon entry, visitors are expected to quarantine in a central location from 7 to 14 days. The length may vary dependent on the country you are flying from and the city you are flying to.
It depends on what subject you are focusing on, however, most school groups visiting China for the first time opt to go for the classical destinations in the following locations
- The Great Wall in Beijing
- The Forbidden City in Beijing
- Tiananmen Square in Beijing
- The Terracotta Warriors in Xi’an
- The Former French Concessions of Shanghai
- The Financial district in Shanghai
- The Giant Panda Reserve in Chengdu
If it is not your first time visiting China we highly recommend travelling off-the-beaten-path with us to discover China beyond its ‘headlining’ destinations.
Because China is so large any time of the year is suitable to visit China. In the summer months the Northern regions are still cool, and in the winter months – southern parts of China – like Hong Kong and Guangzhou remain warm.
China’s largest cities have GDPs and standards of living comparable to Seoul, Tokyo and Singapore. Although there are many parts of China that are still developing most of the classical China ‘must-visits’ are located in China’s most developed cities. That is why a school trip to China that include all of the China classics is not cheap. However, if you’re willing to see a version of China that travelers rarely experience then we’re more than happy to take you off-the-beaten-path.

Full itinerary for Beijing Educational Tour
Upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport ( PEK ), your personal tour guide will be waiting for you outside of the luggage claim area with your name sign. You will be transferred to your hotel by your private car. Have a good rest and be ready for a great tour.
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in your hotel. Your guide will teach you some simple Chinese phrases for greetings on the way to the world-famous Forbidden City. Forbidden City (Imperial Palace or Imperial Museum) is the largest imperial palace in the world. It was built in 1420 and was home to 24 emperors in the Ming (1368–1644) and Qing (1644–1911) Dynasties. Your professional commentator will show you around with a tour that is off the beaten track. He has studied this palace for years. He will take you to some secret areas in the palace and tell you interesting stories about the emperor’s life and the background history. It is about a 4-5 hours’ walk with several short breaks. This is a small group tour but your personal guide will be waiting for you at the end point and take you to lunch. Order something you have always wanted to try at your first Chinese meal with help from your guide. Visit the neighborhood in Hutong alleys on foot. Interact with people in one of the houses. The local people have been living here for generations and are still living in a very traditional lifestyle. At the end of the tour, make a short stop at a local tea house to learn about this most traditional and popular Chinese drink.
Forbidden City
Free time ideas:
- Wangfujing Pedestrian Street, just a few blocks away from your hotel. It is interesting and safe to stroll around the night snacks market.
- Kungfu Show in Red Theatre, the most popular evening entertainment. Your guide could help with the reservation.
Learn some most-used Chinese phrases from your guide on the way to the Great Wall. After about 1.5 hours’ driving, you will arrive at the best-selected Mutianyu Section. It is a better-preserved section with fewer crowds. The Wall winds 1.4 miles through lofty mountains and high ridges. The cable car takes you up to the top and you could then start to hike along the Wall further east or west. You could choose to take the cable car down or slide down by a toboggan ride. Lunch today is served in a garden restaurant owned by local farmers. Feast on fresh meat, vegetables and fruit juice to delight your taste buds. In the afternoon, visit a Cloisonné Factory. Cloisonné handcrafts have always been the most popular decorations for royal families in Chinese history. You will learn the whole process about how it is made.
Mutianyu Great Wall in Autumn
After breakfast, your guide and driver will transfer you to the Temple of Heaven . Have a tour around the park to admire this architectural masterpiece. Then meet the Taichi master. You will get a full demonstration of Yang Style Taichi , and have the chance to try every movement. Taiji originates from Taoism philosophy. It concentrates on how to control qi (Consciousness) energy in human body, so as to balance Yin and Yang. The movement is slow but powerful.
Taiji Learning
The tour continues to visit a local kindergarten in Gaobeidian Village , a 1000-year history but modern Chinese village. Take a look at a Chinese kindergarten, the lovely kids will sing songs and dance to welcome you. Play with them and you will feel like you are back in childhood. Then join an interesting class to learn Chinese calligraphy . Chinese square characters are formed with different strokes of dot, horizontal, vertical, left-falling stroke, right-falling stroke, turning stroke, and hook stroke. You will gain a basic idea of how these are drawn with Chinese painting brush. In the late afternoon, visit 798 Art Zone to appreciate some modern artwork.
The Summer Palace is the best-preserved imperial garden. It was first built in 1750 and rebuilt in 1860 and 1900 after being destroyed by invaders. It is a masterpiece as the man-made houses, corridors, gardens and marble boat are in great harmony with natural lakes and hills. Continue your travel to China’s TOP university, Peking University . Built in 1898, Peking University was the very first comprehensive university in China. It is the ultimate goal of all Chinese students.
The Summer Palace in Winter
Good to know: We will choose another famous university if Peking University is closed to visitors due to some unexpected reasons beyond our control.
Be ready for the most crowded subway in the world. You will travel like a local and gain some fun experience. Your guide has prepared a Subway Day Pass for you when meeting you in your hotel in the morning. The departure time would be after 9:00am to avoid the rush-hour. The first stop is Yonghe Lamasery , a nice and quiet place to walk around. You will learn a lot about Chinese Buddhism theory, especially Tibetan Buddhism. A 55 feet tall wooden Buddha statue is displayed in the main hall. Just across the street from Yonghe Lamasery, you will find The Temple of Confucius and Guozijian Museum . Confucius’ Temple was where people worshipped Confucius during the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. Guozijian Museum (Imperial Academy) was the only university in ancient China. It is located near Hutongs with no crowds. The not-touristy and museum-like rooms give you an insight into Confucius and the old Chinese education system. Take the subway back to your hotel before it gets over crowded.
Guozijian Museum

China, u.s. in bid to boost education ties.
Academics, officials push for more efforts to promote understanding
A push to have more U.S. students study in China is coming from academics and others in the United States and China following President Xi Jinping's initiative last November in San Francisco of inviting 50,000 U.S. students to visit and study in China in the next five years.
One month later, in a speech in Washington, U.S. Ambassador to China Nicholas Burns called for more U.S. students to study in China, warning that a next generation of leaders "that is cut off from China, that hasn't had an experience there, that doesn't speak Mandarin" is not in the national interest.
In an online discussion last week, Shen Xuesong, minister counselor of education for the Chinese embassy in the U.S., said numerous programs have been set up for U.S. students.
President Xi and U.S. President Joe Biden reiterated their support and encouraged both sides to further expand people-to-people exchanges during a phone call on April 2, Shen said in a discussion organized by the U.S. Heartland China Association and the nonprofit China Institute.
The youth leadership program of China Institute will send about 50 U.S. students to China this summer, said Shenzhan Liao, senior vice-president and head of the School of Chinese Studies at the institute.
Shen said China has set up many programs for student exchanges, and many more long-term and short-term programs are being planned to "welcome more American youth to observe China with their own eyes, measure China with their own feet through interschool exchanges, short-term visits, summer schools, winter camps and other forms, and to be the new generation of envoys of U.S.-China friendship".
The programs offer opportunities for U.S. high school and college students in a wide range of fields from artificial intelligence and architecture to cultural tours and research projects.
Although education exchanges have witnessed a decline especially in the number of U.S. students studying in China, new exchange programs are still developing, James Smith, president of Eastern Michigan University, said in the online discussion.
Eastern Michigan University has had an education partnership with Tianjin University of Commerce for 20 years.
New partnership
Three years ago, it formed a new partnership with Beibu Gulf University in Qinzhou, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
The program offers an undergraduate degree program to Chinese students at Beibu Gulf University, Smith said. U.S. faculty travel to China to teach students who have the option to come to the U.S. to study at Eastern Michigan University in their final year.
About 30 Chinese students are set to come, he said, and by fall, there will be about 800 students in the program.
"It is by far the largest international initiative that we've done at Eastern Michigan University, not just in the eight years that I've been president, in literally the 175 years of our existence to have 800 students enrolled with us," Smith said.
Kim Norton, mayor of Rochester, Minnesota, who visited China at the end of last year, said in the discussion that the trip made her rethink all she had learned and how it can be applied in her community and throughout the state.
In a recent visit by sister city Xianyang, Shaanxi province, the chancellor of a local university that focuses on healthcare was invited to join the discussion in which Chinese medicine came up, Norton said. It turned out that some students would like to learn more about it.
"So, I think there is such an opportunity here to increase and improve the relationship," she said. "I really look forward to what can happen in the future."

- Namibian exhibition explores cultural heritage of repatriated art
WINDHOEK, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Namibia opened an exhibition in the Namibian capital of Windhoek Thursday evening dedicated to exploring the cultural customs and identity of the country's looted art to retrieve its heritage.
The exhibition, themed "Artistic Research Communal Knowledge (ARCK): Reconnecting with Returned Cultural Belongings," features 23 cultural and historical belongings that were returned from the Ethnological Museum, a public institution dedicated to ethnology and culture in Berlin, Germany, to Namibia in May 2022.
The artifacts, including milk gourds, calabash, woven baskets, and traditional wooden cups, will be displayed at the National Art Gallery of Namibia in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, until May 18, 2024.
Beverly van Wyk, an official from the Museum Associations of Namibia, said the 23 artifacts were selected for the project from more than 9,000-strong collections in the National Museum of Namibia Anthropology department based on cultural and spiritual significance.
"Furthermore, we used criteria of a rarity in Namibia today, aesthetic uniqueness, fragility, and other technical aspects in selecting the artifacts for this project," she said.
Opening the exhibition, Sanet Steenkamp, executive director for the Ministry of Education, Arts, and Culture, said the exhibition follows collaborative research conducted by local artists, researchers, and communities to reactivate knowledge and skills related to historical belongings.
The artists used the knowledge they gathered and represented it in various artistic mediums such as poetry, performance, and sculpture, contributing to the ongoing dialogue about cultural heritage in Namibia.
"Ultimately, this collaborative research and creation process highlights the importance of understanding, sharing, caring, and developing further cultural heritage to create a better future," she said.
The exhibition and ARCK project also aim to address and rectify the gaps in Namibia's history and cultural heritage caused by colonization by the German Empire (1884-1915) and South Africa (1915-1990).
Meanwhile, the exhibition can spark debate on art presentation and repatriation.
According to Golda Ha-Eiros, a senior National Museum of Namibia curator, curating this work is a captivating and altruistic journey through time.
"Through unveiling the stories that have shaped our artistic and cultural heritage, this exhibition invites us to connect with the rich histories of our people that lie beneath the surface of each cultural belonging," she said.
In addition to the exhibition, educational programs such as panel discussions, workshops, and guided tours will be held aimed at enhancing the public's understanding of artistic research and communal knowledge and their role in preserving Namibian cultural heritage.
The project ought to bring home cultural belongings from the Ethnological Museum's almost 14,000 cultural belongings identified as originating from Namibia. Enditem
