Haworth is 42 miles to the west from York and 20 miles from Leeds, which is the closest major city to Brontë Country. Manchester is 45 miles to the south west. We started with a magnificent tour of Rievaulx Abbey. Johnnie kept us engaged in conversation and explained the different aspects of the Abbey so it could be brought to life for us. The Abbey itself was incredibly beautiful. We then proceeded to Haworth, where the Bronte sisters lived. Johnnie is an expert on the Bronte sisters.
