As gas station rest stops go, this might be the cleanest one I've ever visited... and considering we put 10,000+ miles on the old odometer each summer driving across this great land, that's a meaningful endorsement. I suppose it may have something to do with the fact that in many parts of the country, winter or "cold weather" doesn't impact travelers the way it does around here. As my father-in-law who lives up the 94 a ways has told me, it gets so cold here in the winter when you spit on the street it doesn't splash...it rolls. Maybe that's just a little NoDak tall tale, but certainly this Simonson store is nice. Clean inside and out, plenty of filling stations, pretty fresh squeegees to scrape the bugs off your glass, and well appointed restrooms to wipe your... uhh, face. Lots of snacks and goodies inside, coffee was hot and fresh, even at one in the afternoon. Try that , Southern California 7-Eleven store... Sticker shock is a thing when you fill up your car here, in a positive way... Even this last summer when prices were sky high, it was still a couple of bucks less per gallon then what were used to out here on Idiot Island. Still, no place like home, and I'm glad this places right here just off the freeway to help us get back to our home 20.

I really liked this place. It had a place to buy beer, free coffee or soda with fill-up, friendly staff, 5 cents off fuel for cash and a 24 hr diner. There needs to be more of these places in the world.

Excellent night at Texas Roadhouse! Our server was attentive, but not overbearing. He spoke fast and confidently (even as he wore a mask), easy to understand amongst the noise of the other guests. Everything we ordered was delicious! My New York Strip was cooked to... a perfect medium, and the sautéed onions and mushrooms were a huge plus on that steak! Wowzers! My shrimp were dang tasty too! Don’t forget to try an order of Fried Pickles. Oh yeah! You’re welcome! Texas Roadhouse... just do it! Don’t even spend another second thinking about it. Just do it, and you can thank me later. Ha! Oh!! The Big Ol’ Brownie, to round off our evening, was served HOT with ice cream on top and a chocolate syrup drizzle! Smashing! We can’t get back fast enough! Merci Beaucoup! Yeeeeeeehaw! More

I do notice that you know what you get service etc is above average for there brand I haven’t been on a Friday evening before so I must admit when I left at 1730 there was a huge wait. Had salad 8 Oz steak with... prawns and house fries was perfect more than enough I find for me that steak is more than enough. Food great service profession More

We had the beef tips dinner with steak fries and green beans. Also added grilled shrimp, and half rack ribs. Also ordered grilled salmon salad. Everything was very good. We ate the buns with cinnamon butter for dessert as they are sweet. We got to... go. They were well organized for people coming in to eat, and people getting takeout. More

The food was decent, but not as good as normal. We were there on a Sunday for lunch and the place wasn’t busy, but the service was terrible. Our waitress forgot to place the order and it took forever to track her down to check... on what was taking so long. When we did get our food, it seemed to be of a lower quality than normal. Maybe because they rushed it after the waitress dropped the ball. More

This place has some of the best food and not bad priced the early dine menu is great. I had a burger before and it was delicious also. I have hard time making choice what I want. I hope they dont start raising prices..

Wait was only 15 minutes but well worth it. Server was very friendly and fantastic. They cooked our steaks to perfection which came with a huge baked potato and tasty buns served with cinnamon butter. Mmm Mmm good!! The cost is a bit pricey but... so well worth every penny and can't wait to return More

We arrived just as the Valentine's Day rush started and were fortunate in that a table was immediately available. I say this as by the time we left there was a crowd waiting for tables. Our waitress was pleasant and efficient. The service was first... class. The food was also tasty with our steaks arriving done as requested. More

We were seated after a 45 min wait by a very nice gal. Drinks came out quickly. That was the end of the positives. My husband’s food came out wrong and had to be sent back. He had me start eating so my steak wouldn’t... be cold. His was finally brought out and I was done with my steak (I am not a fast eater). The manager brought it out and asked if we needed anything else. I asked for another soda and bread because the server still hadn’t been back since taking our order. I couldn’t eat the rest of my food without something to drink. Server never came back, manager never came back. No refills on anything. We ended up just boxing up the cold food and leaving after 45 minutes. Waste of $60 and our evening. We used to love TX Rdhs, but will not return here. More

The salad, buns, and baked sweet potato was delicious. All real, all identifiable as food. The ‘chicken breast’ on the other hand, not so much. As soon as my friend and I saw them coming we knew there was a problem. Too big, oddly shaped.... Sure enough, it’s disgusting, pressed, plumped up, rubbery fake chicken. It may have been actual chicken at one point, but this was no fresh, real, breast of chicken. Ate three bites then pushed the rest away. My friend did the same. The server didn’t ask why we left our meat on the plate. We didn’t bother explaining. Stick to the buns and salad. More

Arrived to find we had a 30 min wait time. No prob! Waited outside for 20 mins and got called in. Excellent! (we thought)... We were then made to stand by the till waiting. We ended up standing there for 30 more mins! In the... mean time a big bus of soccer players showed up and the staff hustled to seat all 30 of them before us! I asked when we were to be seated... And was told the bus arrived unannounced and pushed everything back! So...this bus shows up 30 mins after us and we all get screwed over?? My one yr old was in full meltdown at this point and we had to walk out. After a full hour of waiting for nothing. Extremely disappointed in this place. We've had 4 bad experiences here now! Won't happen ever again. More

I have been going to this Texas Roadhouse since it opened a dozen years ago. Last night was a terrible experience for me and my family. We were there for my 58th birthday and it was very upsetting. We all had to wear our coats... because it was so cold with the AC running. Most tables in the restaurant were wearing coats I asked the manager, a man wearing a pink polo shirt with a pony tail, to please turn the temp warmer. He asked what the problem was, I said it was about 60° in there. I said it's just too damn cold. He replied "listen here Mister, Don't cuss at me." Everyone there was cold, but he didn't want to change anything. We spend at least $10,000/yr here!! I would appreciate a call back from upper management. Thanks, Blake 2186868385 More

We usually love this place but today was not the greatest. My herbed crusted chicken was so salty I could only manage one bite and looked burnt! My husbands streak, while pink, was sooo dry and his mashed potatoes were very lumpy. To top off... the visit, the place was in need of a deep clean. Tops of booths sticky and dusty, food/sauce all over the wall, menus greasy and blinds covered in dirt. Now I might write this off as they are busy and will clean it later but they had literally just opened for the day when we arrived. If this is how the dining room is kept, makes me wonder how dirty the kitchen is. More

Rough night for the folks of the Roadhouse. Rushed impersonal server in the bar area who never did bring us buns, forgot our order, never cleared our table, the soda in my drink was flat, frozen drink machine was a broken, had to ask for... peanuts…. A host of misfortunate events drew us to this review. I will not go back even if the steak was good. My friend might. More

If you are in need of a dinner out with good tasty, excellent service and a relax atmostphere with a decent meal at a reasonable cost, then this restaurant is for you. For never had been in any Texas roadhouse before, we asked the serving... staff to recommend us what to have. Boys and girls! Did we ever make a good choice? I chodr the Sirloin steak and my wife, a Crushed Chicken and whatever 2 sides you choose for your meal are adequately good. We never had so good and so tasty of a meal eating out and we had eaten out a fair bit. Beers on the tap were also great to pair with our dinner. A great experience all around. A five star experience all around. Definitely a must recommendation for you. Enjoy. More

When we are in the States and they have a Texas Roadhouse, we must go there and eat. We really love this restaurant. I had the smothered chicken, a salad, and sweet potatoes. I also had the Killer ribs as a starter. I had so... much food that I had to take home part of the smothered chicken. My husband had the steak with mashed potatoes and a salad. We both enjoyed our meals and we will come again the next time we are in the USA. We wish that Winnipeg would have a Texas Roadhouse. More
