The World Travel Expo is a yearly gathering for the tourism industry, both domestic and international. It's a chance for various organizations and businesses in the travel field - like hotels, airlines, and cruises - to come together and network.

In 2023, the World Travel Expo Miami (WTE Miami) took place at the Miami Airport Convention Center in Florida from June 13th to 15th.

The WTE has become a significant event for tourists in the United States. It brings together various professionals from industries such as tourist offices, airlines, airports, travel agencies, tour operators, and hotels to expand their business networks.

It has significantly increased the region's visibility in the travel and tourism sector. Its main goal is to promote the industry and showcase the power of travel and tourism as a driving force for economic growth and cultural understanding.

In addition, attendees and exhibitors are offered the chance to strengthen their connections and networks with each other. The event also serves as a platform to discuss the industry's opportunities and challenges, as well as current and future trends.

WTE Miami 2023 was organized by Miami International Airport (MIA) and sponsored by International Air Transport Association (IATA), International Association of Travel Agents (IATAN), American Airlines and the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB).

The event covered a range of topics related to programming and panels, including a State of the Industry session that delved into current trends in the travel industry. Another session explored Major Trends in Travel, such as Diversity Equity and Inclusion, Medical Tourism, Adventure & Expedition, and Travel in Educational Programs, which examined the unique demographics of travelers and the reasons behind their destination choices. There were also other relevant sessions, such as the Importance of Tourism for Economic and Social Development, an International Cruising CEO Panel, the Evolution of the Commercial Flying Experience, Hotels: Industry and Sustainability, and an OTA Panel: The Future of Travel in a Post-Pandemic World.

WTE Miami 2023 was a fantastic platform for industry stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions and collaborate on various projects. With over 3,000 travel professionals from around the world in attendance, the event showcased a diverse range of businesses and ideas. The global tourism industry's influential leaders and experts also shared their insights on current challenges, emerging trends, and potential business opportunities.

The event provided attendees with the chance to participate in pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with thousands of buyers from the U.S., attend informative conferences and panels, and learn from exhibitors. Over the course of three days, visitors could also take advantage of exclusive travel deals and discounts from airlines, hotels, and travel and tour packages.

Overall, WTE Miami 2023 was an excellent opportunity for visitors to connect with key players and explore new business prospects in the travel and tourism industry.

Travel & Adventure Show 2023: A Must for Cruise and Travel Fans

The Travel & Adventure Show is coming to nine US cities in 2023. Find out why this fun two-day travel exhibition is a must for anyone who loves traveling.

Last spring, I enjoyed visiting the Travel & Adventure Show in Boston , and as a travel fanatic it was the perfect way to spend a weekend, even though I wasn’t far from home!

But don’t worry that you missed the boat with the last exhibition. The Travel & Adventure Show is once again visiting nine US cities in the spring of 2023.

At this two-day gathering, travel fans can meet with dozens of friendly people from around the world who represent travel brands, and there’s always a variety of exhibitors. You’ll see booths for cruise lines, independent tour operators, tourism boards, luxury resorts, airlines—there’s something for every kind of traveler.

What is the Travel & Adventure Show?

For seventeen years the Travel & Adventure Show has hosted annual travel exhibitions in major US cities. They’ve done over a hundred of these events so far, with a total of over 2.1 million visitors!

Each show offers over 100 travel-focused exhibitor booths, featuring both domestic and international destinations.

Stroll through the exhibition halls and pick up literature from travel companies you’re interested in, snag some free logo goodies, and enter drawings to win prizes.

Plus, you can sit in on any of their dozens of free live seminars and travel talks, held on three stages throughout the event.

Speakers at the Travel & Adventure Show

One of my favorite parts of the show was attending the inspirational travel seminars. For my 2022 visit, there were over thirty of them on three stages, so be sure to plan out which ones you want to see! And yes, all the seminars are included in the price of your ticket.

My last Boston show had several featured speakers, including Andrew McCarthy (yes, the Pretty in Pink and St. Elmo’s Fire actor!), beloved travel show host Samantha Brown , and Pauline Frommer —the author, TV host, and Editorial Director of Frommer’s Guidebooks.

On the main stage, known as the Travel Theater, the featured speakers entertained and inspired us with stories of their travels throughout the world.

At the end of each seminar there’s a brief Q&A session, followed by a meet and greet so you can interact (and maybe snap a photo) with the speakers.

Pro tip: If you want to meet one of your fave speakers without standing in a long line, get up during the Q&A session at the very end of the seminar and head over to the Meet & Greet stand. You’ll still be able to hear the end of the session, but you’ll be at the front of the line!

Buying tickets for the Travel & Adventure Show

Although it seems like the price of just about everything has skyrocketed over the past year, I’m thrilled to report that Travel & Adventure Show tickets cost the same as last year!

Tickets are still $16 for one day and $24 for both days (online or at the door). Kids age 16 and under get in free with an adult.

Travel & Adventure Show FAQ

The Travel & Adventure Show will visit nine US cities in 2023: Chicago, Boston, New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles, Denver, San Francisco, Atlanta, and Dallas.

Tickets for the Travel & Adventure Show are $16 for one day and $24 for both days. Children 16 and under are free when accompanied by an adult.

My wife and I attended your presentation in Rocky Mount, NC on April 3rd because we were told we would receive a voucher for a cruise just by attending. Also the first 50 attendees would receive a $100 dinner voucher. We responded to the mail immediately upon receiving it, we went to the presentation, and received nothing so far. This is smelling like a scam.

The real Travel & Adventure Show takes place annually in large cities across the US. As far as I know it's never been held in the small city of Rocky Mount, NC. You may have been scammed/lied to by another company with a similar name.

IMEX Frankfurt gathers meeting planners and suppliers to discuss the latest industry developments and ideas. The trade show has a mission to advance the global business events industry, driving education, innovation, and powerful connections. IMEX is scheduled to take place from the 23rd of May to the 25th of May in 2023. Additionally, on the 22nd of May, which is a day before the event begins, IMEX is providing a free specialized education day.

For visitors, the doors will be open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on Tuesday, May 23rd, and Wednesday, May 24th, and from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM on Thursday, May 25th.

Athens International Tourism & Culture Expo

The exhibition, which is scheduled for December 6-8 this year, brings together prominent exhibitors from all tourism sectors to conduct business-to-business (B2B) meetings with carefully selected and highly motivated hosted buyers hailing from over 40 countries.

The first year of Travel Madness in 2012 was a big, phenomenal hit, generating at least 40,000 visitors and guests, and enabling an international credit card company to rake in PHP20 million worth of business in just three days.

TME is one of the biggest travel and trade fairs in the Philippines. It is supported by local and national tourism organizations, travel authorities, airlines, cruise lines, hotels, travel agencies, theme parks, insurance companies, schools, real property companies, and other business establishments in the retail and food industries.

TME’s successful display of destinations and cultures from around the world has made it a must-see event for travel enthusiasts.

The most recent edition, Travel Madness Expo 2023 (TME 2023),  was held from June 30 – July 2, 2023, at Halls 1-4, Ground Floor, SMX Convention Center – Manila, MOA Compound, Pasay City. It was the 10th edition organized by Travel Innovators, Inc with the theme, “Travel: We’re back in full color.”

TME 2023 was the first face-to-face edition after the COVID-19 outbreak which struck the world in the first quarter of 2020. The 9th edition was cancelled in 2020 and was replaced by an online TME in 2022.

It seemed like a daunting task to start anew. However, with all the sacrifices each one of us in the travel and trade industry has made in the past years, saying that a pot of gold is waiting for us at the end of the rainbow might be inapt. Beyond the outbreaks are breakthroughs in the field that we all know is ever evolving, but it is the one place we find ourselves coming back to. Thus, TME 2023 was bravely staged.

Moving forward, we found ourselves simply having that passion to make things better for everyone. TME 2024 now brings you, a magical experience with the combination of travel, technology, and wonderful dreams.

TRAVEL EXPO CYPRUS

TRAVEL EXPO CYPRUS , formerly called “TAXIDI exhibition”, is organized every year by the Association of Cyprus Travel Agents and Display Art Group of Companies. The exhibition constitutes the ideal forum where the Cypriot traveller can obtain correct and comprehensive information on tourist destinations and travel packages from all over the world.

Tour operators, airlines, International Tourism Authorities and local organizations, district offices from Cyprus and Greece, Cyprus and international hotel chains, foreign countries and other travel and tourism related parties participate in the exhibition with their own pavilions.

TRAVEL EXPO CYPRUS has been established as a very useful annual event in which Cypriot travellers await with anticipation in order to explore their options not only for their summer holidays but also for their future trips. Participants provide visitors with information about available packages but also about specialized holiday trips abroad and equip them with printed material containing comprehensive information including the cost of the various options on offer.

TRAVEL EXPO CYPRUS  serves a reciprocal purpose. It provides information to the travel public on available packages as well as assistance in exploring their options. Qatar Airways successfully concludes its Six Month Expo 2023 Doha Journey

Qatar Airways, the Official Strategic Partner of Expo 2023 Doha, has closed an eventful six months at Expo 2023 Doha with resounding success. This edition of the MENA region’s largest horticultural exhibition raised climate and desertification awareness through various exhibition stands, panel discussions and public activities.

The award-winning airline collaborated on a joint venture with Hamad International Airport (DOH) to design and build the impressive Qatar Airways Garden. As one of the most-visited pavilions at Expo, the ‘Qatar Airways Garden’ attracted over 250,000 visitors during the six-month period, with Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport (HIA) playing a significant role in bringing people from nearly 170 global destinations to Expo 2023 Doha.

Visitors were greeted by a giant yellow teddy bear – an iconic reference to Lamp Bear located at the award-winning Hamad International Airport, as well as significant landmarks from across the continents served by Qatar Airways, emphasising Qatar’s pivotal role as a global hub.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said: “With the successful conclusion of Expo 2023 Doha, Qatar is solidifying its role in hosting large-scale global events. Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport are proud to have contributed to the initiative, allowing us to welcome visitors from all around the world to experience Qatar’s warm hospitality and be a part of its promising future.”

Qatar Airways set the stage for this landmark event by welcoming the Expo 2023 Doha livery into its fleet and commemorating its role as the Official Strategic Partner. Throughout the six months, the Qatar Airways Garden hosted various activities, engaging experiences and cultural performances highlighting the diverse traditions of the world. The airline also hosted familiarisation trips to spotlight the largest horticultural exhibition in the region.

Onboard Qatar Airways flights, the airline celebrated Expo 2023 Doha with organic beverages by the renowned Qatari vegan restaurant, Evergreen Organics. Additionally, Qatar Airways partnered with local farms and Evergreens Organic to introduce an Expo 2023 Doha a la carte onboard menu. The airline also ran insightful gardening shows and videos as part of its in-flight entertainment, OryxOne.

The pavilion further offered its visitors an exceptional opportunity to experience Qatar’s cultural and sports landscape. The Qatar Airways Garden observed significant cultural moments, including the Chinese New Year and commemorated its inaugural flight to Medan, Indonesia with Qatar’s Indonesian community at its exhibition stand, coinciding with the Qatar-Indonesia 2023 Year of Culture.

In addition to this, during Qatar’s National Sports Day, nearly 17,000 visitors enjoyed engaging sports activations at the Garden, making the pavilion a destination catering to individuals of diverse ages and generations. Qatar Airways also welcomed football icons David Beckham and Ronaldinho to its pavilion to raise awareness for sustainability initiatives in Qatar and beyond.

Taking part in, horticultural exhibitions, and design showcases, Qatar Airways remains committed to promoting Qatar as a hub of international events curated for various audiences, including global travellers from nearly 170 destinations.
