Umrah refers to a voluntary pilgrimage to Makkah, the city where Prophet Muhammad was born, and the holy teachings of the Quran were first revealed. An Umrah trip , though it is not considered compulsory according to the faith, is highly recommended and needs a lot of planning. How to plan Umrah trip

While Umrah may be a journey of faith, it requires good planning. Pilgrims have to prepare for key rituals like Ihram, Tawaf, Sai. Umrah preparation for key rituals

Reaching the House of Allah in Makkah

Jeddah to Makkah : For those going on an Umrah trip, it is essential to note that Makkah does not have its own airport. Flights are available to Jeddah. Pilgrims arrive at King Abdulaziz International Airport (JED/OEJN), situated 95km west of Makkah. One can reach Makkah from Jeddah via taxi.

How to book flights : The Saudi government does not allow international pilgrims to book flights on their own. Instead, they need to contact the Hajj travel operators authorized by the Saudi government to chalk out their Umrah plan. These operators will also receive them at the airport and arrange their lodgings.

Makkah from Jeddah port Besides flying, pilgrims can also take a boat ride from the East African coast to the port city of Jeddah. From there, the drive to Makkah is only 45 to 60 minutes long. Further, pilgrims who are Saudi or GCC citizens do not need any special permit to go for Umrah. Such people can travel in their own vehicles or rent cars or hire taxis to go for the pilgrimage.

Local Transport in Makkah city

Getting around in Makkah is fairly simple and easy. The city has an efficient public transportation system that gets you to your destination in no time. Here are some means of travelling that can be used by pilgrims during their Umrah trip.

Bus – Makkah has an efficient network of public buses and privately-owned microbuses that operate around the mosque routes. The fares for both these means of transportation are reasonable.

Taxi – Finding a taxi is easy in Makkah. Taxis are the most convenient and widely used means of transport, but they also have very high fares.

Cars – Renting a car is another option to get around the city as Makkah has a well-built network of roads. Also, there are signboards in Arabic and English at every turn that make it easy for people to reach their destinations.

By Foot – If you are in Makkah for an Umrah trip, then you can consider walking to your destinations as a means to get around the place. Doing so will help you in avoiding congestion on roads and streets.

Where to stay during Umrah?

The next step in how to plan Umrah trip guide is to find a suitable place for lodging. In the holy city of Makkah, there are several luxurious and economic hotels that are located near the Al-haram mosque. The best ones include, Pullman Zamzam, Jabal Omar Hyatt Regency, Hotel Al-Islam, and Swissotel Al Maqam. Besides 5-rated hotels, there are budget accommodations as well. Pilgrims can choose from standard hotels to serviced apartments based on their budget.

Umrah December 2021 Makkah Hilton Suites Jabal Omar Medinah Pullman Zamzam Advisor: Mustafiz Alhamdulillah my trip to umrah was completely smooth. I initially got quotes from different travel agencies and although ihsaan Tours ended costing more I decided to go with them purely because of the transparency and communication I got from Mustafiz. He is genuine and straightforward. He communicates consisely and clearly. I told him the hotels I wanted and the dates and he got me them. Other travel agencies kept trying to alter few things or couldn't get it exact. Mustafiz has always been available to communicate on phone calls or whatsapp and I was able to visit him in his office. He explained all the processes and created an itinerary which made it much more simpler and stress free. The transport arranged were all good and decent cars. All went smoothly no delays. Only downside is the drivers don't have good English. No need to review the hotels on here check trip advisor. I would recommend them.

Alhamdulillah I was blessed to travel with Ihsaan Tours. From the get go they provided an amazing service. From booking to return. We travelled to Pakistan for the retreat. Ihsaan Tours, what can I say. It’s been a pleasure doing Umrah with Bilal and Mustafiz, the brothers went above and beyond what they could with a big group of people and allowed us to peacefully do our own umrah with the right guidance. We did have a missing luggage, which was stuck in Istanbul, I went twice to the airport to chase them but brother Bilal went the third time and found it. He didn’t need to do this but he went out of his way (with Harris) to do it anyway. Would definitely recommend going with Ihsaan tours, though the organisers were Eman Channel, they provided the logistics of everything. We was provided with 5 start hotels with amazing views in front of the mosques in Makkah and Madinah. How on earth did they manage that with the price we paid. Amazing! Anyone who hasn’t been Umrah before should definitely go with these brothers, they’ll respond to you ask quick as they can. Alhamdulillah faultless. My husband, baby and I just got back from the Mufti Menk Umrah tour. The whole experience was brilliant and planned and executed meticulously. They were very organised months ahead. The brothers really looked after us so we would like to say a special thanks and jazakhAllah khair to brothers Bilal, Mustafiz, Azeem, Harris and brother Joynul from Light upon Light, and everyone else from the team who I may have missed. Updates were regularly communicated and they were always there to help us with any questions or issues. Both hotels in Makkah and Madina were 5* were in very close proximity to the masjids and shops/food places. Brother Bilal, thank you for your help when my baby was ill and pointing me in the right direction of where to go for a pharmacy. The private villa night out with Mufti was a nice chilled out night, and the private date farm visit was so much more than I thought it would be. Would highly recommend this tour company. flight Meals Amman Airport – Amman Hotel TK812, 22:55 – Ahlan Wa Sahlan – Welcome to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan! Our representative meets you with a sign before the immigration and assists you with the procedure. After you collect the luggage and pass customs, the representative matches you with your driver. The ride to the hotel in Amman takes around 50 minutes. Check-in, rest of the day at leisure. Meals: None

Breakfast and Dinner Amman Hotel – Shrine Prophet Yusha & Shuaib – Kahf Al Raqim – Amman Downtown – Amman Hotel Today drive around 30 minutes towards the town of Salt. Visit the shrine of Prophet Yusha or Joshua, the successor of Prophet Moses mentioned in Quran Suret Alkahf. We continue to the shrine of Shuaib or Jethro, one of the wisest and well-spoken prophets. His was active in Midian and talked to merchants to abandon corrupt practices. Then to the Cave of the Seven Sleepers, known as Kahf Al Raqim. During religious persecution, seven boys hid in a cave and felt asleep for three hundred years and nine days. The story is mentioned in the Quran. Back in Amman we visit the Citadel with remains from the Roman to the early Islamic period and the small the aeological Museum. See Al-Husseini Mosque, rebuilt in 1924 on the remains of a mosque from 640 AD by Caliph Umar bin Al-Khattab. Overnight Amman hotel. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner.

Breakfast and Dinner Amman Hotel – Kerak Castle – Battle of Mutah Site – Amman Hotel Check out from hotel to start driving 130 km southwards to the area of Kerak, where the Battle of Mutah took place in 629 AD. The troops of Prophet Mohammad fought against the forces of the Byzantine Empire and the Christian Ghassanid. Three commanders of the Muslim army died in the battle, the tombs of Zaid bin Harith, Ja’far in Abi Talib, and Abdullah bin Ruwah we visit today. Then tour the Crusader Castle in Kerak from the 12th century. The large castle offers stunning views of its surroundings and is inside lots of underground passageways, rooms and stairways. Return to your hotel in Amman. Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

All buses will stop at Miqat Abyar Ali to renew the Niah (Intention) for Umrah. • Buses will be divided into 2 groups, those who want to head to Makkah directly will go directly. And those who can afford to spend extra time one the road then their bus will take the Hijrah road to Makkah ( Also know as the Old Road of Madinah or the Road of the prophets ), on that road we will make 2 stops one at A Rawhaa where we can see the historial place of Al Rawhaa and the Al Rawhaa well of water, then the second stop will be at Badr battle ( Ghazwat Badr ) leaders will guide and explain the history of the places. • Arrival to Makkah al Mukarramah • Dinner at the hotel. • Performing Umrah around 11PM

Your private modern A/C bus will transfer you to the hotel for check-in.

Breakfast & Lunch ( Giza Pyramids , Sphinx & Egyptian Museum ) After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will be on the move in a modern, private, AC vehicle to The Giza Plateau. A private Egyptologist will take you on a tour to visit the Great Pyramid Area.  Then, you will visit the Valley Temple, and Great Sphinx, where you can pose to take unrivaled photos to share with your friends and family. Breakfast & Lunch ( Saladin Citadel , Mohamed Ali Mosque , El Muezz street & Khan El Khalili Bazzars )Breakfast at the hotel , start your day tour to visit the Citadel of Saladin; One of the world’s greatest monuments of medieval warfare, built at 12th century to fortify Cairo against Crusaders. Then visit Alabaster Mosque; which built in 1848 AD, imitating Blue Mosque of Istanbul, under the reign of Muhammad Ali Pasha, whose tomb is located within the mosque, it is named Alabaster mosque due to the use of alabaster for coating its interior and exterior walls. Then direct to one of the most important Islamic site in Cairo which is El Muezz St., where we can find more than 25 Islamic monuments, Finally Relax and shop at Khan El Khalili old Bazaar, a lively market where you can haggle for souvenirs or traditional local crafts. When it was first built, it was named Megale Ekklesia (Big Church); however, after the fifth century, it was referred to as the Hagia Sophia (Holy Wisdom). The church was the place in which rulers were crowned, and it was also the biggest operational cathedral in the city throughout the Byzantine period. The 8- 7.5 m diameter calligraphy panels that were written by Caligrapher Kadıasker Mustafa İzzet Efendi were placed in the main walls of the structure. The panels that read  “Allah, Hz. Muhammed, Hz. Ebubekir, Hz. Ömer, Hz. Osman, Hz. Ali, Hz. Hasan ve Hz. Hüseyin” are known to be the biggest calligraphy panels in the Islamic world. The Hagia Sophia was converted into a museum by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk’s orders and has been functioning as one since February 1, 1935, welcoming both local and foreign visitors. According to a deed dated 1936, the Hagia Sophia is registered as “Ayasofya-i Kebir Camii Şerifi on behalf of the Fatih Sultan Mehmed Foundation for maoseleum, akaret, muvakkithane and madrasah on 57 pafta, 57 island and 7th parcel.” Blue Mosque: The Sultan Ahmed Mosque is popularly known as the Blue Mosque for the blue tiles adorning the walls of its interior. It incorporates some Byzantine elements of the neighboring Hagia Sophia with traditional Islamic architecture and is considered to be the last great mosque of the classical period.  Hippodrome: The former center of sportive and political activities of Constantinople. Breakfast  & Lunch or Dinner Eyub Sultan Mosque – The Eyüp Sultan Mosque ( Eyüp Sultan Camii) is situated in the Eyüp district of Istanbul , outside the city walls near the Golden Horn . The present building dates from the beginning of the 19th century. The mosque complex includes a mausoleum marking the spot when Eyup Job Al Ansari , the standard-bearer and friend of the Islamic Prophet Mohammad , is said to have been buried. A mosque complex (kulliye ) was constructed on the site in 1458 by the Ottoman Turks only five years after the conquest of Constantinople in 1453. By the end of the 18th century the mosque was in a ruinous state, perhaps as a result of earthquake damage, and in 1798 sultan Selim III ordered the whole structure other than the minarets to be pulled down and rebuilt. This work was completed in 1800. The eastern minaret was rebuilt in the original style by Mahmud II in 1822. Eyüp Sultan is believed to have died during the first Arab siege of Constantinople in the 670s. His tomb is greatly venerated by Muslims and attracts many pilgrims. The mausoleum is on the north side of a courtyard opposite the main entrance to the prayer hall of the mosque. The mosque was the traditional site for the coronation ceremony of the Ottoman Sultans, where the new sultan was girded with the Sword of Osman. HEAVEN TOURS, INC. shall not be liable or responsible for any inconvenience, loss, damage or injury arising in connection with such service. HEAVEN TOURS, INC. shall not be responsible for the failure to follow instructions, including but not limited to check-in and delay, loss of luggage or personal belongings (Medicine). It is the responsibility of the airline to determine exactly what procedure will be followed. The policy chosen by that carrier shall be based on their procedure and shall not be the responsibility of HEAVEN TOURS, INC. and its affiliates. They will also not be responsible for any person (s) missing and part of the Program due to his negligence or delay or absenteeism for any time during the tour and will not be responsible for any additional expenses for the participant to rejoin the tour. Moreover, no charges or upgrades in the Program chosen will be the honored after departure as well as no refund will be given for any services rendered not utilized.
