Drake and 21 Savage delivered a jam-packed setlist for the opening night of the “ It’s All A Blur ” tour that launched at Chicago’s United Center on July 5. The show marked Drake’s first concert stretch across North America since the “Aubrey & the Three Migos” tour hit over 40 arenas in 2018.

From there, he dove into a hits-filled set that included “Marvins Room,” “Headlines,” and “The Motto,” tallying up to a total of over 40 songs, according to setlist.fm .

21 Savage joined the festivities later in the show, making his entrance with “Red Opps,” and teamed with Drake for “Spin Bout U,” “Jimmy Cooks,” and “Rich Flex” from their “Her Loss” collab album. The rapper performed a total of 12 songs on his own while Drake’s solo set doubled that.

During the last few songs, someone in the audience threw their cell phone at Drake, hitting him in the arm in the process. In the past few weeks, several pop singers — namely Bebe Rexha, who was left with a black eye after someone hit launched a phone at her — have experienced similar unruly behavior from fans at shows. Drake didn’t react to or address the mishap on stage and closed with a vampish rendition of “Legend” from “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.”

Drake tour 2023: See the setlist for the 'It's All a Blur' tour

its alla blur tour

Drake kicked off his It’s All a Blur tour with a dizzying amount of music.

The rapper-singer launched his 56-date tour in July at Chicago’s United Center and held true to his promise that the show would be “a celebration of the last decade.” For his first headline outing since 2018’s Aubrey & the Three Migos tour, Drake uncorked 48 song appearances while performing on a massive square stage.

During that show, he told the crowd, “I have an album coming out soon for y’all.”

Drake’s run with opener 21 Savage – who joined him for a few songs during the main set — is slated to crisscross the U.S. through Oct. 9 in Columbus, Ohio.

Eight Peak Drake Shenanigans From His ‘It’s All a Blur’ Tour

By Mankaprr Conteh

Mankaprr Conteh

We’ve transitioned from a very 6 God summer to an Aubrey Graham autumn with Drake ’s massive It’s All a Blur tour coming to an end (sort of) ahead of the release of his seventh studio album, For All the Dogs . The album was actually slated for last month, and while he’s said canceling shows would have helped him get closer to that deadline, he’d rather continue the concerts. His trek across North America, assisted by 21 Savage, began with 54 scheduled dates kinda wraps this weekend in his hometown of Toronto, though right now two shows in Denver, New Orleans, Columbus, and Nashville are in postponed limbo — even after Drake promised fans he wouldn’t cancel any shows to finish the album.

Drake is unserious: As we all know, Drake got his start as a star of the popular Canadian teen soap Degrassi: The Next Generation , which was very much a drama, but the Boy can also be funny. One of the best mainstream displays of this is how ridiculously he behaves in the video for the single “Way 2 Sexy” as a hip-thrusting aerobics instructor, an old beach bum, and a Michael Jackson parodist. Somehow, his charm and humor were powerful enough to rope two rap stars (Future and Young Thug) into it who aren’t nearly as known as jokesters. Drake has kept the jokes coming since “Best I Ever Had.” Here are the best displays of his sense of humor on It’s All a Blur :

Editor’s picks

The 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, the 50 worst decisions in movie history, every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term.

Drake has been having famous guests accompany him on his walk to his arena stages like a heavyweight boxer, and in Miami, local legend, super producer, and motivational speaker DJ Khaled was the chosen one. But whereas folks like Meek Mill, Bow Wow, and more made their way out with some relative chill, DJ Khaled took the opportunity to announce an album arriving next year (and the fact that Drake is on it) with a white poster that said as much in bold black text. Drake giggled his way through the innards of the arena next to Khaled’s walking ad. Hey, he’s got mouths to feed.

The RNC’s Convention Playlist Is Full of Artists Who Detest Trump

Ai-generated tracks are muddying the drake-versus-everybody rap feud, drake responds to rick ross' nose-job claim, warns rapper after diss, 'don't worry we'll handle it'.

He Dissed Childish Gambino in Neon Lights

Drake called This Is America “overrated and over awarded” at the first show of his tour after Childish Gambino said it was originally a Drake diss 👀 pic.twitter.com/A6UPfLQkhW — SK⚡️ (@raptalksk) July 6, 2023

What does Drake do on opening night of his first tour since 2018? Relish in the adoration of his fans and broadcast bold digs at his enemies — in this case, Childish Gambino , perhaps for revealing that his 2017 pop-political smash “This Is America” originated as a playful Drake diss (would love to hear more about the through line there). Subsequently, the Boy incorporated a text scroll on the stadium’s screens that called the Grammy-winning song “overrated and over-awarded.”

He Promised a Fan $50,000 to Spite Their Ex

Drake gives fan 50 Bands for his ex leaving him alone at his concert while the crowd chants “Fuck that b****h” pic.twitter.com/W7pnP7EOiO — ☥🪬444GodLovesYou555 𓅓🏁🇺🇸 🙏🏾🐼 (@DopeGsaint) September 30, 2023

In the video for his good friend Lil Yachty’s “Oprah’s Bank Account,” Drake played a guest of Yachty’s spoofed daytime talk show, but on this tour, Drake played Oprah (or perhaps just wanted to appease fans after some mild horror at his ticket prices ). Over the course of the tour, he’s told specific audience members that he’s giving them luxury handbags, tens of thousands of dollars, and even a honeymoon in response to fan interactions. However, one gift was wicked after he spotted a fan’s sign explaining “I spent all my savings buying tickets for me and my ex, but honestly, nevermind, it’s really her loss.” After reading it with conviction, he asks, “What the fuck is wrong with her?” before promising “I’m-a give you 50 grand just to flex on her.” The crowd had been chanting “Fuck that bitch!” To which Drake responded, “Fuck that young lady .”

His Excitement About Being Thrown a Realistically Large Bra

“Locate this woman immediately.” 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/DOArj7jhHO — Word On Road (@WordOnRd) July 22, 2023

Drake was in the middle of performing an edit of his hit “One Dance” when he went from dancing with the bra that was thrown at him to inspecting it. “Damn, 36G,” he said, looking taken aback. “Locate this woman immediately!” he said before smiling and handing it off. This is fine. This is cute. And, this helped the bra owner out in her career by earning her a Playboy partnership.

His Second Deeply Unnecessary Dig at Megan Thee Stallion

Drake shouts out friend and photographer The Megan during his latest concert: “Real H-Town love, shoutout to Meg one time for real… Not that Meg, this Meg.” pic.twitter.com/CABQMOakcp — Pop Base (@PopBase) September 21, 2023

Right on the heels of pissing off Halle Berry by bypassing her ask that he not use a photo of her as the single art for the venomous “Slime You Out,” Drake brings up Megan in his show after disrespecting her on the Her Loss track “Circo Loco.” In Houston , Thee Stallion’s hometown, he shouted out a different Megan  — Megan Sumpton , a photographer based in the city that he’s known for over a decade, she tells Rolling Stone , who was shooting from the pit. He calls her a “real H-Town legend,” before saying “Not that Meg, this Meg,” pointing in the audience with a straight face and stern wave of the hand. Given how vehemently Megan Thee Stallion tweeted about the violence she faced being made into a joke (and by rappers especially) right after the “Circo Loco” lyric doing so dropped, he could have made the differentiation between the two clear without bringing the rapper into it at all. It appeared to fit into a pattern of misogyny that has been alleged against Drake, especially in recent years.

He Honored Virgil Abloh With a Massive Statue

Virgil Abloh statue at Drake x 21 Savage “It’s All A Blur Tour” pic.twitter.com/PwuAKYSsr6 — Ovrnundr (@Ovrnundr) July 6, 2023

When the tour opened in Chicago, it did so with a large statue of the late Louis Vuitton executive flying a paper kite, a homage to an image from his first fashion show with the luxury house in 2018. Drake has a similar tattoo of the Chicago native. The statue’s paper plane can be seen taking flight in footage from the show.

When J. Cole appeared in Montreal, Drake was sure to broadcast the North Carolina MC’s impact on him, introducing him as “one of the greatest rappers to ever touch a microphone.” Drake and Cole are close after emerging from the blog era to the upper echelons of rap, with Drake headlining Cole’s Dreamville Fest this year.

Correction: This story was updated at 5:40 p.m. on October 7 to clarify Drake’s statements as he referred to Megan Sumpton, after previously mistaking that he dismissively forgot her last name.

Drake Celebrates His "It's All A Blur Tour — Big As The What?" Ending

Drake has officially wrapped up the second leg of his “It’s All A Blur Tour — Big As The What?,” which featured J. Cole, Lil Wayne and Lil Durk. The 88-show tour ended in Newark, New Jersey, at Prudential Center on April 5.

To celebrate the tour, the “First Person Shooter” emcee shared a new Instagram carousel post saying, “How do you finish something? A little at a time until less becomes more and more becomes less on the other side. Thank you to all of you for helping me complete the mission.”

View this post on Instagram   A post shared by champagnepapi (@champagnepapi)

The post featured multiple images, including a photo of him getting champagne sprayed on him and a photo of his entire tour team sitting on the football field stage set up. Now that his tour is over, fans are excited to see if he will be prepping a response to Kendrick Lamar’s diss verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That.”

On his Instagram story, Drake shared a photo of a Larry O’Brien trophy and a composition notebook with a pen. When DJ Akademiks shared the picture, one fan mentioned, “He better not drop something MID with all this build up.” Someone else stated, “Nah, the final boss is coming.”

Kendrick Lamar subliminally took shots at Drake on the record that ended up becoming No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 . On the track, he rapped, “F**k sneak dissin’, first-person shooter, I hope they came with three switches” and “’Fore all your dogs gettin’ buried/ That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary .”

Drake has yet to respond. The closest thing to a response that fans received would be when he appeared to address his detractors during the Sunrise, Florida, stop of his tour on March 24.

In a clip shared online , he began, “A lot of people ask me how I’m feeling… I’m a let you know how I’m feeling. Listen, the way I’m feeling is the same way I want you to walk out of here feeling tonight about your f**king self.”

“I got my f**king head up high, my back straight, I’m ten f**king toes down in Florida and anywhere else I go,” he continued  “I know that no matter what, there’s not a n**ga on this Earth that could ever f**k with me in my life!” Subsequently, the crowd began cheering noticeably louder.

21 Savage Makes ‘TIME's Most Influential List: ‘His Approach to Rap Is Refreshingly Genuine'

21 Savage is living out the American Dream . The Atlanta-by-way-of-London rapper checked off another box in his ascension when he was named to Time ‘s TIME100 list of the world's most influential people.

The announcement came on Wednesday (April 17) as 21 is the only hip-hop representative to receive the prestigious honor in 2024.

As a fellow artist who relates to 21's story, Burna Boy penned an excerpt showering his "Sittin on Top of Da World" collaborator with love in the feature, a fitting title for the Slaughter Gang honcho's latest accolade.

"I trust my gut when it comes to my music and collaborations, and I find myself naturally drawn to artists like 21 Savage - those who remain grounded in their convictions and consistently defy the constraints imposed upon them. Like 21, I know what it's like to rise above challenging beginnings, and it makes his success all that much more remarkable," the Afrobeats artist began.

"Throughout his work - including on his newest album,  American Dream,  which opens with a reflection by his mother on their immigration story - 21 maintains an authenticity that resonates deeply. His approach to rap is refreshingly genuine; he speaks to us in a relatable way, effortlessly navigating the complexities of the genre. Whether he tackles weighty subjects or offers moments of levity, his delivery remains compelling."

"I have recently had the privilege of sharing one of my most significant milestones with 21, performing with him at the Grammys," Burna continued, reflecting on when the two shared the stage with Brandy at the 2024 ceremony. "I'm excited to witness the greater evolution of his artistry and the impact he continues to make on the world stage."

21 Savage spent most of 2023 on the road as part of Drake's It's All A Blur Tour. He kicked off '24 with fireworks following the release of his anticipated American Dream album in January.

Savage's third solo LP debuted atop the Billboard 200 with 133,000 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending Jan. 18, per Luminate. It's his fourth chart-topping album overall.

Blur frontman Damon Albarn kicks off at lacklustre Coachella crowd: ‘You’re never seeing us again’

Blur frontman attempted to lead a ‘girls & boys’ singalong on multiple occasions, article bookmarked.

Damon Albarn was not impressed by the Coachella crowd during the first weekend of the festival.

Albarn’s Blur played a 13-song set, including Nineties classics like “Girls & Boys”, “Popscene” and “Song 2”, on the festival’s main stage on Saturday (13 April).

The frontman tried to lead a singalong during the bridge of “Girls & Boys” but was met with silence on multiple attempts.

Eventually, he told the audience plainly: “You’re never seeing us again so you might as well f***ing sing it. Know what I’m saying?”

“Song 2”, at least, was met with a huge reaction from the crowd, Albarn said: “This song has been so good to us. But I did get shown a TikTok of it being kind of performed by a vacuum cleaner which is you know…. It is humbling and inspiring at the same time.”

The viral video Albarn was referring to has been reshared in response to his callout.

Blur fans watching from home expressed their outrage on social media and defended Albarn after seeing the muted response from the live audience.

“The crowd for Blur at Coachella was so embarrassing Damon I’m so sorry I wasn’t there,” one fan tweeted.

“You know who we should book for the 7:30 Saturday slot here at Coachella?” one critic wrote sarcastically on X/Twitter. “Blur. Whose entire discography combined has sold slightly less in the United States than Limp Bizkit’s Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water did in its first 7 days on sale.”

However, others questioned whether booking Blur made sense given Coachella’s demographic.

“Blur ‘bombing’ at Coachella is so funny,” another wrote. “Sorry their target audience – 48+ media workers who lost their jobs and have two kids and also a dozen eggs is $9 – didn’t roll out for the $7,200/ticket concert. Does the band still get paid?”

Two people who were unlikely to be singing along to Blur’s refrains were Taylor Swift and her boyfriend Travis Kelce. The couple were seen watching Jack Antonoff’s band , Bleachers, perform at the festival.

Back in January 2022, Albarn was the subject of controversy after he suggested in an interview that Grammy-winner Swift does not write her own songs.

Swift responded to Albarn’s comments about her saying she was “such a big fan” of the Britpop star until she saw his comments.

“I write ALL of my own songs. Your hot take is completely false and SO damaging. You don’t have to like my songs but it’s really f***ed up to try and discredit my writing. Wow.”

“PS I wrote this tweet all by myself in case you were wondering,” she mockingly added.

Albarn responded to Swift apologising “unreservedly and unconditionally”.

“I totally agree with you,” wrote Albarn on Twitter. “I had a conversation about songwriting and sadly it was reduced to clickbait. I apologise unreservedly and unconditionally. The last thing I would want to do is discredit your songwriting. I hope you understand. – Damon.”

The Gorillaz star’s response was widely criticised by fans who accused him of attempting to pass the buck.

Blur recently released their first album in eight years, The Ballad of Darren. In a five-star review for The Independent , Helen Brown called it “the band’s best record since 1999”.

‘It was all a blur’ - all roads lead to Tralee for Grace

Being chosen as the Westmeath Rose for 2024 was “all a bit of a blur” for Grace O’Connor.

The 20-year-old support worker from Killucan was chosen from 10 would-be Roses at a selection event in The Greville Arms Hotel on Saturday April 6.

Sponsored by The Irish School of Shamanic Studies in Castlebar, Grace impressed the judges during her on-stage interview and reading of a self-penned poem.

As Westmeath takes part in the International Rose of Tralee Festival on a bi-annual basis now, she is the first Westmeath Rose since Rachel Duffy, who won the competition in 2022 in a historic first for the county.

Grace says her predecessor “really revived the competition” in Westmeath.

“I met her for the first time at the selection; Rachel is so lovely and one of the nicest girls I’ve ever met,” she says.

“We’ve met for dinner since then and I’m so lucky to have someone like her in my corner with that experience of winning it.

“She told me if I ever need anything, don’t be afraid to ask and offered me all of her dresses to wear if I wanted.”

Grace had decided to apply for the Westmeath Rose competition after what started as a joke with her brother last year.

“We thought it would be a bit of craic, he used to say I would be the face and he would be the behind-the-scenes guy,” she says.

“We applied in August, put the paperwork through, and I had completely forgotten about it.

“Then [my brother] Ryan passed away in December. He took the shortcut home – there’s no point in hiding it.

“I thought I didn’t want to do it without him as nobody else in the family even knew I had applied at that point, but my sister told me ‘You have to do it for him’.

Grace says she’d like to use her term to be an advocate for mental health. “As a Rose, I’d like to shed light on mental health, because the stigma around it is going,” she says.

“What we need to do now is have conversations on how to help people who are going through it – more needs to be done there.”

On the selection night on Saturday week last, Grace read a poem about handling the loss of her brother. “I was starting to tear up towards the end and getting all shaky,” she says.

“I said to myself, ‘Hold it together Gracie, get it finished’, and as soon as I finished and got off the stage, I started crying.

“I was a few seats away from the judges but I think I got away with it and nobody noticed – it was very emotional.”

She said she had been “overwhelmed” by the support towards her since she was crowned the 2024 Westmeath Rose.

“I only told my friends and my parents about it a week before but everyone has been so delighted, so proud of me and it’s just been so heart-warming,” says Grace.

“I’ve never had this much support or so many people happy for me, it really is amazing and I’m so grateful.”

Grace is a support worker with the Muíriosa Foundation in Mullingar, helping people with disabilities, a job she says she enjoys as “you’re going in and feeling like you’re really making a difference”.

She also has a keen interest in mindfulness and spirituality.

“We get so wrapped up in the 9-5, even societally everything is just go, go, go,” says Grace.

“But life is so magical, there is so much beauty out there and it’s the little things – life is what happens when you’re busy making plans.

“Sometimes you need to take a step back and take everything in, we need to bring gratitude back into our lives.”

A former Columba College Killucan and St Finian’s College student, Grace says all roads now lead to Tralee.

“It’s all ahead of me now,” she says. “At first, I was like ‘Oh my God, now I’ve to go on telly? But at least I’ll get to meet Dáithí Ó Sé.”

Grace will be one of 32 roses from these shores and abroad to be interviewed by the host live on RTÉ over the course of the International Rose of Tralee Festival on August 16-20.

Moscow Metro

The Moscow Metro Tour is included in most guided tours’ itineraries. Opened in 1935, under Stalin’s regime, the metro was not only meant to solve transport problems, but also was hailed as “a people’s palace”. Every station you will see during your Moscow metro tour looks like a palace room. There are bright paintings, mosaics, stained glass, bronze statues… Our Moscow metro tour includes the most impressive stations best architects and designers worked at - Ploshchad Revolutsii, Mayakovskaya, Komsomolskaya, Kievskaya, Novoslobodskaya and some others.

What is the kremlin in russia?

The guide will not only help you navigate the metro, but will also provide you with fascinating background tales for the images you see and a history of each station.

And there some stories to be told during the Moscow metro tour! The deepest station - Park Pobedy - is 84 metres under the ground with the world longest escalator of 140 meters. Parts of the so-called Metro-2, a secret strategic system of underground tunnels, was used for its construction.

During the Second World War the metro itself became a strategic asset: it was turned into the city's biggest bomb-shelter and one of the stations even became a library. 217 children were born here in 1941-1942! The metro is the most effective means of transport in the capital.

There are almost 200 stations 196 at the moment and trains run every 90 seconds! The guide of your Moscow metro tour can explain to you how to buy tickets and find your way if you plan to get around by yourself.
