About Brantley Gilbert With back-to-back Platinum albums and a grassroots following millions strong, Brantley Gilbert’s music has been shared, covered and adopted as the soundtrack to Saturday night and Sunday morning by audiences around the world. The Georgia native who started as the defiant life-of-the-party can still go ‘til sunrise, but he’s also emerged as something far greater: the leader of a massive tribe of hard-working, fun-loving believers for whom electric guitar-shredding, rapping, and twang can go hand-in-hand-in-hand. They call themselves the BG Nation, and when the BG Nation watches Gilbert on a stage, they don’t just see a star. They see themselves. Seven No. 1 hits punctuate his career: “Country Must be Country Wide,” “You Don’t Know Her Like I Do,” CMA Awards Song of the Year nominee “Dirt Road Anthem,” “My Kinda Party,” RIAA 5x Platinum-certified “Bottoms Up,” “One Hell of an Amen” and collaboration with Lindsay Ell “What Happens In A Small Town.” Gilbert’s landmark record  Just As I Am  clinched the 2014 American Music Award for Favorite Country Album. Earning praise from the  New York Times , NPR,  American Songwriter , and more, Gilbert has mined a rich vein of conflict between the party and the pew on all of his albums. Instead of toiling in limbo, unable to enjoy good times for fear of Judgment Day, Gilbert fully lives––rowdy friend, man of faith, devoted husband, smitten new father––just as he is. His latest release “Son Of The Dirty South” featuring Jelly Roll is available now via The Valory Music Co., and the two embark on the Son Of The Dirty South Tour June 30. For tour dates, tickets and additional information, visit BrantleyGilbert.com  or follow him Instagram and Twitter @BrantleyGilbert and Facebook.com/BrantleyGilbertMusic.

A Nashville native, the singer/songwriter has critics noting  “his music takes those raw, unreserved verses and melds elements of country, rock, and hip-hop into his own signature style” ( Billboard ) and “with powerful tunes like ‘Son of a Sinner’ and ‘Sober’ it’s clear that when it comes to music, Jelly Roll’s heart is often right—singing with a profound amount of emotion and tact, the songs and their revealing lyrics soar to brilliantly uplifting heights, shining light onto some of life’s darkest circumstances” ( American Songwriter ). The multi-genre talent’s “Dead Man Walking” single is currently #4 on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Chart and has over 10 million streams and counting. “Son of A Sinner” and “Dead Man Walking” are the follow up singles to Jelly’s breakout hit, “Save Me,” the GOLD-certified single with more than 65 million YouTube views that ushered a new wave of musical growth for the multi-talented artist. Hailing from the Antioch neighborhood of Nashville, Jelly Roll sold recently sold out the iconic Ryman Auditorium and averages more than 200 shows a year. LISTEN: Brantley Gilbert And Jelly Roll Releases Country-Rock Banger “Son Of The Dirty South”

son of a dirty south tour

Brantley Gilbert and country newcomer Jelly Roll recently dropped a cross-genre track, “ Son Of The Dirty South ,” just days before embarking on their highly-anticipated tour. The up-tempo banger brings a new sound to the honky tonk space, as it displays Jelly Roll’s spitfire rap skills and Gilbert’s signature country-rock sound.

With heavy percussion keeping the beat, Jelly Roll kicks off the track by freestyling about his love for the South and what it’s like to live a blue-collar life. After the genre-bending artist wows with his witty wordplay, Gilbert explodes into the high-energy chorus. Gilbert’s gritty vocals paired with the electrifying guitar riffs, are destined to make arenas shake on their upcoming trek.

“‘Cause I’m a son of the dirty south, got to trippin’ | Mama washin’ out my dirty mouth and pickin’ switches | I’m a hell raisin’ rebel that you better never tread on |Gun-totin’, drinkin’, smokin’ hoss that you can bet on |Tatted up, I’m gassed up | I’m throwed off and I’m buck wild | Loud and rowdy I’m a son of the dirty South,” the multi-platinum artist belts in the chorus.

A post shared by Brantley Gilbert (@brantleygilbert)

The melody never dies down, as Jelly Roll tackles the second verse in full force and pays homage to country icon Hank Williams , hip-hop group Three 6 Mafia, and Kid Rock . The contemporary punk-rock instrumentals maintain the head-banging rhythm, while Jelly Roll dishes on his unconventional upbringing.

The Nashville native penned “ Son Of The Dirty South ” alongside Gilbert and Andrew Baylis. The party track serves as the pair’s first collaboration together. Gilbert said that Jelly Roll [ real name, Jason Bradley] has been on his radar for quite some time.

“I had a blast working on this one with Jelly,” the hitmaker explained upon release. “We’ve been itching to write together for a while now, and we had a lot of fun putting it together. You don’t always get to record a song with your co-writers, so to hop in the studio with him too was a real treat.”

Jelly Roll mentioned that he is looking forward to performing the single on their five-date run.

“Brantley is already one of my favorite artists, and we got to write this song together and release it to the fans ahead of our tour starting,” says Jelly Roll. “I really can’t wait to get out on that stage with Brantley and perform it live this Summer. Get ready.”

The artists that turned fast friends, also premiered a music video for “ Son Of The Dirty South ” via Facebook. The heavily tatted musicians did not think twice about getting down and dirty for the action-packed clip, as four-wheel monster trucks whip through mud. Towards the end of the grungy video, the two are filmed throwing back drinks and shooting pool in a sticky dive bar.

The Son of The Dirty South Tour will kick off on Thursday, June 30 in Jacksonville, Florida. Tickets are available for purchase, here .

Gearing up to hit the road together, multi-Platinum selling country rocker Brantley Gilbert releases the NSFW “ Son Of The Dirty South ” featuring Jelly Roll via The Valory Music Co., readying fans for the Son of The Dirty South Tour kicking off next Thursday, June 30th in Jacksonville, FL. The official video premieres on Facebook today (Fri, June 24th) at 1 pm ET.

“I had a blast working on this one with Jelly,” shares Gilbert. “We’ve been itching to write together for a while now, and we had a lot of fun putting it together. You don’t always get to record a song with your co-writers, so to hop in the studio with him too was a real treat.”

“Brantley is already one of my favorite artists, and we got to write this song together and release it to the fans ahead of our tour starting,” adds Jelly Roll. “I really can’t wait to get out on that stage with Brantley and perform it live this summer. Get ready.”

Marking their first collaboration, the pair co-wrote “Son Of The Dirty South” with Andrew Baylis, offering a look into their southern upbringing and brandishing their appreciation for all things unruly, rowdy and loud, culminating into a good time.

“Son Of The Dirty South” follows “ Rolex On A Redneck ,” Gilberts collaboration with longtime friend Jason Aldean, having toured together and swapped songs throughout their careers. Penned while on a writer’s retreat in Texas, Gilbert has been preparing more new music to be delivered later this year.

With the release of 2021’s Ballads of the Broken, genre-bending artist/songwriter Jelly Roll saw his career soar to new heights with the RIAA Gold-certification of his hit single, “Save Me” and more than one billion collective streams of his catalogue. The Nashville native recently celebrated his first No. 1 single – the multi-week chart-topping “ Dead Man Walking ” – and with his single “Son of a Sinner” nearing the Top 20 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart, Jelly becomes the first artist to top the active rock charts while having a Top 30 single at country radio with his first song chart debut on each.
