New agency plots growth after recruiting 100 agents in four months.

A new homeworking agency – which has recruited nearly 100 agents just four months after launching – has set its sights on bringing in up to an additional 400 "eager" new members. 

One Travel Club, launched in April by directors Lee Evans and Gregory Barratt, is looking to recruit both experienced and inexperienced agents to the new brand. 

"Our aim is to rip up the rule book when it comes to homeworkers and independent agents to rid the preconceived idea that as they are independent, they can’t succeed and do not have the knowledge," Evans told TTG.

"There is a massive array of experience when it comes to homeworkers, some are very new and some are very knowledgeable. We realised there is a huge market of people that are so willing to learn and develop their skills, but they haven’t got that support network above them to do so." 

One Travel Club offers new members a one-hour consultation before joining to see if the move would be a right fit for both them and the firm. If accepted, a mentor is assigned to help guide new members.

The agency will also offer members a bespoke onboarding guide, tailored to the specific needs of the agent depending on what product they usually sell and what areas they wish to improve in.

Data and technology are also unique selling points for One Travel Club, Evans explained, which forms part of the training and onboarding process for new agents. 

"We wanted to incorporate tech into selling holidays and make it as easy as possible for agents to be confident in what they do," he continued.

"We have built our own hub which enables each agent to source information based on the enquiry they have, ranging from skill byte sessions, how to guides on specific subjects and special assistance."

The hub will be a space where agents can book sessions with the company’s in-house support team or watch the latest webinars from its partners. They will also be able to access One Travel Club’s bookable website.

Future growth

As the group edges closer to the 100 member-mark, Evans said he is aware the bigger the association grows, the harder it will be to maintain the "personal touch" and "family-feel" the brand strives for. 

"This is why we are capping at 500 people," he explained, "as I don’t think the personal feel we offer is sustainable above that level, we want to keep up expectations and our promises."

One Travel Club is a member of the Travel Trust Association (TTA), which Evans praised for "playing a key role in our vision".

Wonderful service!

I booked my last holiday at short notice with Michelle Vanlint. I’m a solo traveler with very specific requirements when it comes to board basis/type of accommodation etc. I also had restricted dates and wanted to go somewhere new to me. Business and Leisure travel excellence

I have booked both business and leisure trips with Michelle Vanlint at OTC. She took the trouble to find out where my business meetings were and booked conveniently located hotels also considering ease of travel to and from airports and train stations which is a godsend for a quick getaway at the end of a trip. Just going the little bit further. Likewise with leisure trips, the attention to detail with the accommodation location and facilities and suggestions regarding perhaps changing my travel dates by a day or so to get a much better deal. All these details matter for getting the best deal on cost and a better travel experience. Really exceptional service.

Attentive and very knowledgeable

I hated using booking agents before, but Kerrie is so easy to work with. She provides a personalised and professional service giving clear and precise information, is quick to respond and never tries to push the hard sale. Two for two !! …

Returned from a second break booking through Sarah. Two very different styles; one was Rome for a short break for four and the second was a beach break in the Caribbean. Great choices and recommendations for accommodation and additional trips and tours all sorted out perfectly. Don't leave reviews but this was a must....

Maybe i'm old fashioned but i've always liked to book my holidays through actual travel agents, however this time i tried something new. I was recommended One Travel Club through a friend, obviously a bit hesitant, made the call. Well what can i say Holli was amazing from start to finish, determined to find us the perfect new year break. She suggested a few resorts that i hadn't looked at, once decided provided us a price that beat any quote i could find. Once booked she took care of any requests, seating on plane & transfers. The holiday was amazing, the resort was amazing & above all Holli @ One Travel Club!

Your bot system goes on an endless loop to avoid addressing the issue and your "travel experts" can't even manage to do even one thing aside delay further. Elektrostal is a fairly large industrial city, which is located near the Vokhonka River and almost 40-50 km from the eastern part of Moscow. There are a lot of powerful factories here, where many residents of Elektrostal work. They are perfectly combined with the most beautiful green boulevards, streets and parks, bright lawns and flower beds that adorn almost the entire town. It is picturesque due to amazing reservoirs and forests. It is worth learning more about the main attractions of Elektrostal, photos of which are in the article.

The city was founded in 1916 thanks to the construction of a metallurgical plant. Previously, this place was the natural boundary of Calm. To start construction, the labor of local peasants was used. In the middle of 1925 herebuilt the first railway line that connected Elektrostal with Moscow. After the onset of 1938, the village turned into a separate city.

It is noteworthy that during the Great Patriotic War, the Electrostal plants produced ammunition that was needed for victory. In particular, it is worth noting the production of the legendary Katyushas.

A new stage for the factories of the city began after the invention of atomic weapons. The local plant was on the list of the main production facilities of the nuclear industry. This led to the fact that in 1954 the production of fuel was launched, which was used for the operation of nuclear power plants.

In 1963, the cultural center "October" was built, and this was done by the masters of the Novo-Kramatorsky plant, named after Stalin. It featured a spacious auditorium that could seat more than 850 people, as well as a unique revolving stage for actors to change scenery in seconds.

At different times, eminent creative groups performed in this cultural center, as well as the Beryozka ensemble, famous at that time. It is noteworthy that even in our time the cultural center is actively functioning, and the square in front of it is considered the most beautiful place in Elektrostal with fountains operating in the summer. In mid-2013, it received the status of a city of labor and military glory.

There are many numerous monuments in the city that tell about the history of this amazing place: a monument to Nikolai Vtorov -the founder of the famous plant "Elektrostal" near the House of Culture, a monument to Tevosyan - the chief engineer, monuments to M. Gorky and K. Marx, a sculpture "Steelworker", a monument to Korneev - Hero of the Soviet Union, as well as a memorial and a monument to soldiers who died in Afghanistan and on North Caucasus.

This is a fairly large and old factory in the city that specializes in the production of fuel for local gas stations. The plant is part of the structure of the company FC "TVEL" of the state corporation "Rosatom". The General Director of the enterprise is O. L. Sedelnikov.

This plant produces nuclear fuel, which is used by many nuclear power plants, transport power plants and research reactors, not only in Russia, but also in other European countries. The company has quality certificates OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001.

The museum of the plant presents its history, shows old photographs of the streets of the city, there are achievements of workers, as well as photos of significant people, there are many of the most interesting models produced at the machine-building plant. It also stores presentations showing the principles of the enterprise.

This temple - a landmark of Elektrostal - is a single-dome centric church, which is made in the style of Byzantine times. It was erected in the 20th century, in the immediate vicinity of St. Andrew's Church. The temple was designed by T. V. Trubnikov and V. A. Drozdov, according to the developments of which the iconostasis and interior were exactly designed.

The church plays the role of a baptismal church and belongs to the Moscow diocese. The main shrines of the church are the most ancient and valuable icons of Nikandor Gorodnoyezersky and the Great Martyr Panteleimon. In addition, particles of the relics of saints are kept here. Divine services are held in the temple only during religious holidays.

The local park - a landmark of Elektrostal is an ideal place where everyone can stay alone with nature, ride numerous attractions, and also spend time playing slot machines. The park is especially popular in the summer - it is full of families, youth companies and couples in love.

Especially for the summer in 2013, the park was re-planned, which made it possible to accommodate more modern entertainment and interesting playgrounds for young visitors. Swimmers will love the dragon and swans, and trampolines have been installed for more active children.

It is noteworthy that the prices in the local park are quite affordable: the cost of a ticket for various attractions ranges from 30-100 rubles. Today it is called "Wonder Park", and it is divided into a quieter "Quiet Alley" and "Entertainment Alley", where there is an inexpensive cafe, a summer stage, and also quite a lot ofattractions.

This cinema is very popular, so it can be called a landmark of Elektrostal. It is located in the shopping center "Elgrad" and consists of 5 spacious halls that can accommodate more than 800 people. To show 2D and 3D films, only modern equipment is used: Dolby Digital Surround EX and MasterImage acoustics, as well as huge screens with a special coating. In all cinema halls, very comfortable conditions for visitors were created: climate control and soft chairs.
