Nebula on Tour

California psych-rock trio Nebula is composed of founding member Eddie Glass (guitar and vocals), Tom Davies (bass) and Michael Master (drums).

Formed in 1997 by alumni of famed stoner-rock band Fu Manchu, Nebula has experienced many lineup changes, but has maintained a large and loyal fanbase. The band took a hiatus in 2010, and reunited in 2017 after Glass and Davies began jamming together again. They booked a festival in Spain in the summer of 2018 and readied a new album. Holy Shit , their sixth full-length as Nebula, was released in 2019.

Their seventh studio album Transmission From Mothership Earth followed in July 2022. Distorted Sound Magazine said, "Masters of blending the best elements of Black Sabbath with psychedelia and space rock, Nebula have always been pioneers of their own unique take on stoner rock... the album feels more conceptual, with a high level of focus on tying the songs together with a single galactic thread."

Nebula Live in Concert

American psych rock band Nebula formed when singer/songwriter and guitarist Eddie Glass and drummer Ruben Romano parted ways with popular Southern California stoner-rock band Fu Manchu in 1996. They soon joined forces with bassist Mark Abshire.

The band took off quickly, touring throughout the '90s and amassing a large base of stoner-rock fans who jibed with their psych-rock grooves.

The SoCal trio soon became known for a style similar to Fu Manchu's heavy psychedelic music, but with a more expansive sound on their early projects. Their growing fanbase helped them catch the attention of Seattle record label Sub Pop (Nirvana, Soundgarden, Mudhoney), through which they released two albums, To the Center and Charged .

Three more albums followed on different labels, including Atomic Ritual in 2003, Apollo (2006) and Heavy Psych (2009), until the band took an indefinite hiatus beginning in 2010. They reformed in 2017 and released the critically acclaimed Holy Shit in 2019, followed by Transmission From Mothership Earth in 2022.

NEBULA Announces North American Tour

California's NEBULA will embark on a full U.S. tour in August. Support on the trek will come from THE ENTRANCE BAND , who will be fresh off a tour supporting SONIC YOUTH .

NEBULA will be touring in support of the band's new LP, "Heavy Psych" , due out July 7 on Tee Pee Records .

Playing dirty rock and roll and primitive blues, psychedelic iconoclasts NEBULA have earned a reputation as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the Los Angeles underground rock scene of the last two decades.

With a penchant for Fuzz-wah pedals, wild drums and debauchery, NEBULA plays feedback-heavy, guitar-driven psychedelic rock in the tradition of THE STOOGES , MC5 , JIMI HENDRIX and CREAM — laced with the spaced out sounds and dischord of SPACEMAN 3 and THE VELVET UNDERGROUND .

Formed by frontman Eddie Glass out of the ashes of FU MANCHU upon the band's split in 1997, NEBULA toured relentlessly in North America, Europe, Japan and Australia, playing alongside bands like MUDHONEY , IGGY AND THE STOOGES , LOCAL H , THE HELLACOPTERS and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE .

NEBULA quickly gained a cult following in the burgeoning psych scene that was taking root in their hometown of Los Angeles and in music scenes abroad, paving the way for bands like BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE , DEAD MEADOW , BLACK ANGELS and WOLFMOTHER .

NEBULA 's current lineup includes Eddie Glass on guitar/vocals, Tom Davies on bass/vocals and Rob Oswald on drums.

New Nebula live record? That’s cool. No, it hasn’t been forever since they did the 2021 Live in the Mojave Desert ( review here ), but they have done another studio LP since then in last year’s Transmission From Mothership Earth ( review here ), and a good portion of these tracks come from that, and particularly in light of the above, I’m down for whatever is going to keep the band going, so yeah, Livewired in Europe it is. I’m not sure who’d argue against the idea anyway.

And would you ever actually say there were enough versions of To the Center ( featured here , discussed here )? The band’s Jack Endino -produced 1999 debut is one of the best heavy rock records of the last, oh, ever, and as such should never not be in print. In both these cases, the law of ‘the more the merrier’ would seem to imply, not the least because it’s more stuff on the merch table on their upcoming European tour, which launches on my anniversary, goes a full month, and wraps at Heavy Psych Sounds Fest in Germany. This is Nebula ‘s umpteenth tour since founding guitarist/vocalist Eddie Glass rebooted the band in 2018, and there too, the more the merrier.

While Davies remains sidelined, Ranch Sironi is handling bass on the run, joining drummer Mike Amster (also Mondo Generator ) in the rhythm section complementing Glass ‘ signature, classic shred.

The trio fronted by guitar legend Eddie Glass will keep supporting their 2022 album “Transmission From Mothership Earth” (Heavy Psych Sounds Records), hailed as “ eight summer feel-good hits that are destined to destroy your speakers ” by Metal Hammer Magazine and felt “ like cruising through a cosmic desert ” according to Metal Injection editors. Prepare to embark on a groove-drenched cruise…

The power trio specializes in feedback-drenched heavy rock, incorporating liberal doses of Black Sabbath riffery, psychedelia, and space rock.

The band released a number of EPs before moving onto full-length albums like 1999’s ‘To the Center’ and 2001’s ‘Charged’.  NEBULA  creates pure guitar-driven, conscious expanding rock for the 21st century. They are a culmination of their rock forbearers such as Jimi Hendrix, MC5, The Stooges and Mudhoney turned up a notch, taken to the next level and blasting through space. They spread their gospel through their music and what they are preaching will leave the congregation on the floor.

In 2017 the band decided to reissue three of their crucial early works via Heavy Psych Sounds Records: 1998’s ‘Let it Burn’, 1999’s ‘To the Center’ and 2002’s ‘Dos EPs’ (which includes the material originally released on 1999’s ‘Sun Creature’ and the Nebula/Lowrider split). In the summer of 2020, after 13 years  NEBULA  returned with not only a new lineup but also their long-awaited new full-length ‘Holy Shit’, which was acclaimed as a “ massive return to form ” by Metal Hammer.

The mighty trio released their latest album ‘Transmission From Mothership Earth” in the summer of 2022 through their home stable Heavy Psych Sounds Records.

From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.

At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.

According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.

He didn't take shortcuts and really covered everything that was on the agenda in great detail. We saw beautiful metro stations and learned the history behind them, including many of the murals and designs.
