  • Olli_Oh 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great experience! We were having the Wolf Trip during our vacation and it was fantastic! During that event we learned a lot about wolfs and their behavior. We camped in tents, had a great meal in the Woods and started to track the wolfpack when IT startest to get darker. In the end we managed to hear the wolfhowl, what was really nice, but eben if we end up didn't hearing them, I'd completely recommend doing the trip. Read more Written 17 September 2023

The workshop was way above the expectations and the guides made this trip a real wild nature experience. We got to understand the biology of the wolves and why they are famous for being difficult to find. Highly recommended!!! Read more Written 11 September 2023

Camping for three days in the Swedish forest hearing wolves, seeing beaver and moose, eating incredible food and feeling so connected to life with similar and fun people. Marcus and Christiana the guides were so organised, kind and knowledgeable. I just cannot recommend this company highly enough. Read more Written 29 August 2023
  • Justine1969 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Magical. It’s so hard to explain how amazing the 5 day Wolves, Moose and Beavers tour was. I will be thinking about it for a long time. We were a small group of only four so it felt very intimate and got on really well with the other couple. Simon the guide is passionate about what he does along with the animals and how they live, that every detail from the food, locations, pace and story telling is fantastic. Looking for clues of where the animals were was fascinating. We, I think, were lucky. We saw moose, hares, deer, wild boar. Most incredible was we managed to hear a pack of wolves calling into the night sky in response to Simon’s call. I can’t tell you how incredible that was. There is a good balance of downtime and action. The food at the hotel was good but I won’t forget the stew that was cooked on the campfire next to a lake along with the coffee Simon brewed All equipment is catered for from wellingtons, to tents and sleeping bags. The only thing that was an issue (more personal preference than negative) is I think the hotel feels a little tired and rooms a bit basic, but their food and service was good and it is a perfect location for all the activities. It didn’t detract from the whole experience. Please do use Wild Sweden. Read more Written 25 August 2023
  • AliceM257 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles DO NOT MISS THIS We did the tour as a family of 7, children aged 17 -23. Every minute was wonderful, our guide Sofia was charming, knowledgable and judged the pace of each activity perfectly. The week was divided in to activities and downtime for each day which we loved, and felt that we'd used every minute to the max. Everything was beautifully planned and organised, and all necessary equipment was available for us to use. (We took our own walking boots and waterproofs) The food was fabulous, the scenery is even better - and even in a torrential rainstorm we loved our picnic supper with a campfire under the tarpaulin. We didn't manage to see Beavers the night we went out to look for them, but we didn't feel that we'd missed out - the evening on the water and our picnic on a little island camp on the lake was dreamy, and a beaver would have been a bonus, but definitely not a requirement. It was huge fun looking for them. For the Wolf tour we were joined by two extra guides, Simon and Eddie (as well as Sofia). I was worried that we wouldn't be able to sit in silence for up to 2 hours without giggling, but after the full and fascinating explanation, wolf workshop and extremely delicious camp supper, we were more than ready to follow all instructions to the letter. Simon was extremely knowledgeable and we were all completely gripped from the start. He managed our expectations very well, and we realised that the chances of hearing a wolf in the current conditions weren't all that high, and the chances of seeing one even less but we were keen to try. Simon and Eddie had spent the previous few days searching a wide aread for signs of recent wolf presence, and selected a spot they thought had the best opportunity. We walked in single file, in silence for about an hour (easy walking on a dirt road), and then sat in the dark for a further hour and a half waiting and listening. It was extraordinary. It was so intense, so full of hope and excitement, that we strained every fibre to hear. To sit in silence for nearly two hours, in a forest far away from signs and sounds of human population is a unique experience on it's own, and something that everyone should think about doing. I felt I could almost hear the trees growing....and then, a wolf howled. It was nothing short of electrifying, a true privilege to hear. It was primal, haunting, beautiful and truly life enhancing. DO NOT MISS A CHANCE TO DO THIS. The hotel is delightful - it has an elegant country house feel, with a calm and efficient management. The food is outstanding, much of it grown in the grounds, and most of the other ingredients are locally sourced. The staff were always smiling and helpful. The Spa is an added bonus, and the lakes are perfect for swimming and canoeing. Honestly, it was the best holiday we've ever had, and we'd do it again in a heartbeat. We will definitely be back to do other tours. One recommendation - stay an extra night in the hotel after the Wolf Tour. It will allow you to digest the full magical experience in a calm and peaceful environment - I think going straight back to a city straight afterwards would have been difficult. • Read more Written 22 August 2023

The weather for our Moose tour was pretty awful but we did manage to see a couple through the misty rain. We then did the beaver tour through a beautiful lake and stream. Great weather but no luck seeing any beavers. Read more Written 22 August 2023

  • GuyAB_2018 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Immersed in Sami culture, seeming out wildlife and the northern lights We have just returned from this fantastic trip, where we were introduced to the culture of Sami people, sharing their meals, understanding how the seasons (they count eight in a year) impact their lives, and for a couple of nights staying in a lavvu (the tent in Wild Sweden's image for this holiday). We saw moose and interacted with reindeer who were being nursed back to health by Anna after illness or injury, and rose a dog sled. The three nights in a guest house in Jokkmokk were very comfortable and great food. Although Sapmi is not teeming with wild birds at this time of year we had a couple of opportunities to watch the willow tours, Siberian Jays and bull finches (there are crested and Siberian toys around too). Our guide Christian was excellent, a skilled tour guide with a strong sense of humour. Wild Sweden's organisation was perfect (thanks Gina). But the star of the show were the northern lights, stunning. Read more Written 9 March 2023
  • 112birtel 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Northern Lights & wildlife in Swedish Lapland - 10/10 on WOW Factor A most awesome experience for anyone who loves nature, wildlife and the outdoors and is keen on experiencing all this in the most authentic and genuine ways. Seeing nature covered in snow added a magical sparkle. We were blessed with some extraordinary Aurora Borealis sightings, exercised with a spot of snowshoeing/skiing across a frozen lake and an opportunity to finish the day off with a sauna and a cooling jump into the snow. The mix of experiences made the trip truly special. Everywhere we went we were welcomed so warmly by the respective hosts. Caissa at Jokkmokk who treated us to the most amazing home cooked food, Anna who let us become part of the Sami reindeer herder life for one afternoon, Lennart who not only immersed us into the Sami history and culture but turned the stay with him into an amazingly grounding experience with lots of room for mindfulness. Christian, our local guide, was a star throughout the trip and all of the admin bits worked super well. Big thanks to Gina at Wild Sweden for all the support with booking and pre-travel organization. I added an extra night in Lulea at the end which was def worth its while. A nice opportunity to have a relaxed look around Lulea (1 day is sufficient), go for a walk across the lake and reflect on the week gone by. Food at the hotel was good but I would recommend getting out and exploring some of the local restaurants (I can recommend Bistron down by the lake. Make sure to pre-book as it’s gets packed from 5pm onwards). Getting to and from the airport by bus is super easy and cost effective. The rest in Lulea is all walking distance. An eye-opening New Years Retreat full of love, peace and happiness in Navardalen with Marcus, Christiana and the whole group. To stay in a picturesque incredible lodge and naturally connect with nature with ice dips, saunas, snow shoeing hikes and meditations/breath works. Not to forget fetching fresh water from the stream and making fires - it all was very satisfying for the soul. And on top of that cooking and eating tasty good food and getting so very close to the group in such a short time. Just marvelous! Keep up the good spirit WildSweden. You guys rock! • G379DQdavide 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Wonderful winter experience. Wild Sweden has a real winner in their Northern Lights and wildlife in Swedish Lapland tour. Loved the fact that there is a max of seven guests. The Northern Lights, moose, and reindeer were all seen on our trip. The accommodations were great, for such a remote area. The guides, hosts, and hostesses, were wonderful, friendly, and so warm for such a cold environment. Don’t let the cold frighten you though. I highly recommend renting the bibs, coats, shoes, and mittens. We did, and were never cold when outdoors. We had an exceptional trip, and learned so much about the Sami people and Sámpi area. Don’t miss this tour! Read more Written 25 February 2023

We stayed in a beautiful and cozy lodge, where we had the chance to connect to nature through hikes, saunas, lake baths, fetching fresh water from a nearby stream, eating delicious vegetarian food (sometimes prepared with local and traditional ingredients), meditations, and perhaps the best of all: to get to do all of this in the company of a wonderful group of people! We had a truly fulfilling time together. Thanks Wild Sweden! Looking forward to being with you again! Read more Written 15 February 2023
  • 558nanometres 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Real taste of arctic Sweden I joined this tour organized by Wild Sweden with 7 others during early January 2023. The trip delivered everything as promised. Our guide Christian was knowledgeable and helpful, and knew all the best spots to look for moose and reindeer. Highlights of a memorable trip were an evening in Anna's (reindeer herder) lavvu on the outskirts of Jokkmokk and then two nights at Lennart's Sapmi nature camp in Nabreluokta. At their head office, Gina was so helpful and easy to communicate with; she was also tremendously patient with several electronic glitches on my side. Bookings went through very smoothly, the instructions (what to do, what to pack etc) were extremely useful. I had a great time and would highly recommend booking an adventure with Wild Sweden.
