Jackson Wang is getting ready to hit the road. On Wednesday (Sept. 28), the GOT7 member announced his plans for a world tour in support of his recently released album, Magic Man .

Wang revealed the details of his 2022-2023 trek via his social media accounts, excitedly writing, “Finally. The 1st time in my life I get to properly tour now. After all this … MAGIC MAN WORLD TOUR 2022-2023 #MAGICMAN is coming. See u there. I promise it’s different.”

In 2023, the 28-year-old will take his tour to London on Jan. 12, and to Paris three days later on Jan. 15. Dubai is also getting a visit, with Wang performing on Feb. 4. The tour poster, which features the singer in a leather jacket, states “and more,” hinting at possible tour dates to come.

Wang released Magic Man , his second solo studio album, on Sept. 9; it debuted at No. 15 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart. The set charted even higher on Billboard ‘s Top Album Sales and Top Current Album Sales charts at No. 3.

Speaking with People , Wang explained that Magic Man is “way more extreme than all the stuff that I’ve released in the past. And I think it’s because on this album, I’m in my most raw form that I’ve ever been in my career as a solo artist, just not caring about whoever I was and whatever I had before. And [I] just want to go for being completely me and with no filter.”

Jackson Wang Announces 'Magic Man' World Tour 2023 North American Dates

Presale begins on Wednesday, January 18th and tickets will go on sale to the public beginning Friday, January 20th.

Singer, performer, and producer Jackson Wang announces his first-ever North American tour dates as a solo act for his MAGIC MAN World Tour.

The limited six-city tour will make stops in major cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, New York, and more. See below for a full list of tour dates. Jackson will return for the 2nd year in a row to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival on April 16th and April 23rd at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California ahead of headliner Frank Ocean. For information on purchasing tickets, visit here .

Jackson kicked off his MAGIC MAN World Tour with sold out shows in Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London and Paris to celebrate the release of his sophomore album MAGIC MAN (TEAM WANG records/88rising Records/Warner Records/RYCE MUSIC GROUP) featuring previously released singles "Blue," "Cruel" and "Blow."

The album received widespread critical acclaim from the likes of Associated Press, NPR, Vulture, The Daily Beast, Consequence, UPROXX, and more. It debuted at No. 3 on Billboard's "Top Current Sales" & "Top Album Sales" the week of release and at No. 15 on Billboard 200 marking Jackson's highest charting album.

This all follows Jackson's whirlwind run of making history at last year's Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival as the first-ever Chinese solo artist who performed on the Coachella main stage as part of 88rising's 'Head In The Clouds Forever' set. Jackson also headlined last year's 88rising 'Head In The Clouds' Festival (alongside the likes of NIKI, Rich Brian, and more) at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA.

Most recently, Jackson headlined the League Of Legends 2022 Worlds Championship Opening Ceremony with a performance of his latest single, "Fire to the Fuse," a Riot Games Music written and produced track and the theme song for the new "League of Legends" Empyrean skin line alongside Lil Nas X in San Francisco. The track peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Trending Song Chart.

Jackson Wang is a Chinese singer, record producer, creative director, and founder of TEAM WANG. Jackson was a sabre fencer for Hong Kong's fencing team-He was ranked eleventh in the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics. And throughout Jackson's sports career, he won first place at three Asian competitions, three national competitions, and nine international and Hong Kong competitions.

In 2014, Jackson debuted as a member of JYP entertainment's K-pop group GOT7 in Korea. In 2017, Jackson Wang founded TEAM WANG. In 2021, Jackson Wang left JYP entertainment and came back to TEAM WANG in China, and started releasing his solo music. In the same year, Jackson Wang announced PANTHEPACK, a 4-member Chinese music group consisting of Jackson Wang, Karencici, ICE, and J.Sheon, under TEAM WANG.

Vancouver, BC – April 30, 2023, fans were treated to an unforgettable experience at Jackson Wang’s Magic Tour at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre. The stage was expertly crafted to ensure a high-quality performance, and the crowd energy was through the roof from start to finish. The result was a night of incredible showmanship, stunning special effects, and multiple encores that kept the crowd going.

What set the concert apart was the theatrical experience Jackson created. The stage design was impressive, with top-notch lighting and sound systems that added to the overall immersion. The special effects were next level, from the pyrotechnics to the laser light show. Lucky fans were brought on stage to participate in the performance, making for a truly interactive and unforgettable night.

Jackson Wang’s Magic Man Tour was a tour de force of entertainment that connected the audience to Jackson’s story. His talent and passion for performing were evident throughout the show, and the expertly-crafted stage, high-energy crowd, stunning special effects, and multiple encores made for a truly theatrical experience. Critical reception [ ]

Dyne Hong praised, "a tour de force of entertainment," complimenting the visuals and stage designs, which made it "unforgettable." Hong added, "the expertly-crafted stage, high-energy crowd, stunning special effects, and multiple encores made for a truly theatrical experience." [4] In a review for San Francisco Chronicle , Todd Inoue detailed, "he took the audience through an emotional 2½-hour journey split into four acts: Fame, Isolation, Redemption and Acceptance. Each segment was broken up by video vignettes, signaling a momentum shift." Inoue continued, "After 25 songs, the concert was Wang's epiphanic statement on the price of fame and the value of personal power. More impressive than his physical feats was his mindset—he was less of a magician and more of a motivator, imploring his fans to manifest the magic inside them." [5] Writing for Atlas Artist Group, Olivia Khiel similarly called it "unforgettable," summarizing, "The first half of his extensive set let us into his emotional, vulnerable side while also getting the audience up to dance along." Of the final half, they said, "When Wang next emerged, the energy shift from restrained to aggressive was palpable. […] He's not afraid to explore his seductive side, a fact that everyone in attendance was more than happy to witness." [6]

Jackson Wang announces ‘Magic Man’ North American dates

It’s the first US headline tour the K-pop star has undertaken

Jackson Wang has confirmed details of his first ever North American headline tour, in support of second studio album ‘Magic Man’  – check out dates below and grab tickets here .

Wang’s “I’m not a mystery, I’m just magic” tour kicks off April 26 at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium. The six-date run will then visit San Francisco, Vancouver, Chicago and Toronto before finishing up in New York on May 11.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10am local time on January 20, and will be available here . A pre-sale is set to take place January 18.

Wang announced the first leg of his ‘Magic Man’ world tour last year , with three shows in Southeast Asia. He started 2023 with a London headline show and tomorrow (January 15) he’s set to play Paris before a February headline show in Dubai.

During a recent show in Bangkok, Wang gave some fans a lap-dance and embraced the front row while carrying a bottle of alcohol.

In a four-star review, NME wrote : “The best moments on ‘Magic Man’ come when Wang combines his commitment with a casual, cool attitude that’s borderline playful – when he edges close to the mysterious, charming persona of the album’s title. Presented by AEG , the tour will kick off this November in Bangkok, followed by Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, London, Paris, and Dubai. More cities are said to be announced soon.
