The bus seats were miserably uncomfortable & the bathroom had not been properly maintained for 4 weeks. Most of the hotel rooms/beds/lifts/electrical outlets were inadequate. Tony, our driver, was absolutely top notch. Aaron was very knowledgeable, but oftentimes gave directions/talks before we were all assembled.

Britain and Ireland Experience (12 Days)

This is the first time we’ve used TRAFALGAR and we were very happy with the overall experience and have already recommended them to family and friends. Our Tour Guide (Sarah Rose Jefferson) was super friendly and a huge highlight of our trip & our Driver (Jamie Wassell) was fabulous! His driving skills were incredible and he was also very informative and had a good knowledge of the area. Wifi could’ve been better on the coach (some days it didn’t work by mid morning/lunchtime). Perhaps having individual usage would stop others from draining all of the data? Also, a couple of the hotels we stayed in also lacked wifi in the actual rooms, which was a bit frustrating. The “optionals” were great. Would’ve liked to have spent more time at Blarney Castle (due to the massive crowds) and at Galway and maybe less or more time at Pembroke (as there wasn’t quite enough time to do the castle tour whilst there) so that time seemed a bit wasted. A more in depth description of the Warwick Castle should be explained to future travelers, as we nearly didn’t do this optional, and we’re so glad we did. The falconry show was so entertaining and the displays inside the lower rooms inside the castle were spectacular. It’s one of the few castles where you can explore the entire castle too. Of course, with all travel, there’s always hiccups with bags going missing or mix ups with number of beds in rooms or no air conditioning available. However... Sarah & Jamie made sure EVERY single person on our tour were looked after and taken care of before their own needs. Some days they didn’t get to bed until early hours in the morning. Their dedication and comittment to making sure our trip was an amazing experience is a credit to both of them. Thank you TRAFALGAR for employing such great staff.

Celtic Highlights

This was my first trip overseas & traveling alone & I would do it again in a heartbeat. My experience with Globus through the tour director, Peter Dundon, and the bus driver, Ein, will have me traveling again using Globus. From the time we entered the bus each day and exited each night he kept us informed on every city, Castle, ruins, myths, legends, history and more. He had a vast knowledge to share with us and also read poetry and sang local songs. Our bus driver was also very helpful as well as excellent behind the wheel through LOTS of narrow streets. Well done Globus.

What people love about UK And Great Britain Tours

Very nice itinerary ... jam packed days and evenings. I chose not to do any of the extra evening excursions that were offered so I was able to use the time to explore every overnight stop on my own. The tour guide was amazing... so full of knowledge about all the countries/areas we visited.

As the one year anniversary approaches, I wish I could do this trip again!

This is my second time travelling with Globus, would have been my third if not for COVID. The way they plan everything is super organized, the tour managers are very caring and knowledgeable. We always enjoy all the site visits planned for each trip. They start by picking you up from the airport and from then on everything is taken care of up until the last day of your trip, even dropping you off at the airport not matter the time of day or night. The hotels at every city are always great and centrally located so you can walk around during your free time or plan your own visits to different sites.

Did the Globus Highlands and Islands Scottish Tour with Ian and Allister. What a trip!! With his sharp wit, immense knowledge and fun humour, Ian absolutely brought Scotland to vivid life with his many tales, informative quips and total, utter passion for history. Was spellbound. Am so VERY thankful I had the opportunity to be on Ian's last bus tour before retiring with Globus. In addition, to being so hard working and helpful, with Allister our driver, I cannot tell you how safe and secure I felt in his capable driving hands. He had some very awkward traffic and interesting roads to navigate with our large bus, (especially on the islands and up north) but he handled it all expertly and without a hitch. So much so, I was able to relax and enjoy the journey. All in all, with our tour, you could tell both these kind men cared very much for those of us who needed the extra help and advice. Made my bucket list trip to Scotland so memorable and wonderful. Thank you Ian and Allister! Globus is truly fortunate to have you both.
