Seven Seas Splendor

Debuted in September 2021, the 746-passenger, 548-crew member Seven Seas Splendor is the newest ship within the Regent fleet. Seven Seas Splendor – along with most of the line's other ships – takes opulence to the next level by equipping each suite with its own private balcony. Other standard in-room amenities include interactive flat-screen TVs, luxurious bath products, bathrobes and slippers, signature queen-size beds and dining tables for two. There are 10 suite categories available, ranging from the smallest Veranda (307 square feet) and Deluxe Veranda suites (308 to 361 square feet) to the largest Regent (4,443 square feet) and Master suites (1,895 to 2,108 square feet). 

Guests have a wide array of things to do while on board. Spend your days relaxing at the spa, playing paddle tennis or bocce ball, working up a sweat on the jogging track or taking a dip in the ship's two whirlpools and two pools, one of which is an infinity-edge pool that stretches along the edge of the ship, providing swimmers with exceptional views of the ocean. At night, enjoy one of five shows at the onboard theater. 

When it comes to food, Seven Seas Splendor offers eight eateries ranging from casual to fine dining. Enjoy your breakfast alfresco at La Veranda and grub down for lunch at the Pool Grill buffet. For something more formal, opt for a French-inspired meal at Chartreuse, Pan-Asian dishes at Pacific Rim or Compass Rose, the largest restaurant on the ship.

Seven Seas Splendor visits a variety of European and Mediterranean destinations, as well as ports across Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and South America.

The 930-passenger Viking Sky – which debuted in February 2017 – receives rave reviews from past cruisers for its port-heavy itineraries (fares include one complimentary excursion per port) and luxurious, comfortable staterooms. Cabins offer between 270 and 1,448 square feet of space and include balconies, complimentary Wi-Fi access, flat-screen TVs and bathrooms with heated floors, among other amenities. Those who opt for an upgraded stateroom or suite are treated to additional perks, like priority reservations at the spa and specialty restaurants.

Viking Sky's activities include classes at the fitness center, treatments at the spa and destination-focused lectures. The ship also offers two pools and two whirlpools, including an infinity pool on the stern of the ship. In the evenings, passengers can enjoy live performances in the theater or watch destination-related movies in one of two cinemas.

Guests also have their choice of cuisine, from alfresco dining on the Aquavit Terrace to Manfredi's Italian Restaurant. With 550 crew members on board, the ship maintains a nearly 2-to-1 guest-to-crew ratio.

Viking Mars

Viking's newest ship, the Viking Mars accommodates 930 passengers and, since it's a smaller vessel, it can dock in many ports where some of the larger ocean-faring cruise ships can't reach. The all-veranda accommodations on this ship, which debuted in May 2022, range in size from around 270 square feet to 1,448 square feet. In-room amenities include free Wi-Fi access, flat-screen TVs, safes, minibars filled with drinks and snacks, robes, slippers and 24-hour room service.

Visitors will find a relaxing spa, a hair salon, a yoga area and a well-equipped indoor fitness center (plus an outdoor fitness center) aboard the ship. Those looking to unwind with a book in one hand and a cocktail in the other should snag a cozy spot in The Living Room. Like other Viking ships, the Viking Mars offers educational programming, lectures, cooking classes and more on board.

Cruisers can also enjoy amenities like the main pool and hot tub, the infinity pool, the cinema, the theater, a jazz lounge and various bars. Dining options on this ship include Manfredi's Italian Restaurant, Aquavit Terrace, World Café, The Chef's Table and The Kitchen Table.

Viking Mars receives rave reviews from recent cruisers. The variety of excursions, the delectable onboard dining and the comfortable cabins are a few things previous guests highlighted as superb. However, the staff received mixed reviews: Some experienced attentive and friendly employees, while a few noted they were expecting better service across the board for the price point.

Upcoming itineraries on the Viking Mars include cruises with ports of call in Iceland, Norway, Greece, Italy, Spain, the U.S. and Canada.

Viking Star

Debuted in 2015, Viking Star was the fleet's first ocean liner. Welcoming up to 930 passengers, the ship features all-veranda staterooms ranging from 270 to 1,448 square feet. The Owner's Suite offers a dining area that can seat six, an ocean view dry sauna and a 12-seat boardroom, among other amenities.

Beyond their rooms, passengers will find a spa, several shops, a theater that hosts live performances and lectures, two cinemas for screening movies and two pools, including a glass-backed infinity pool cantilevered off the stern.

There are eight dining options to choose from, all with no additional charge or fee. For fine dining, there's The Restaurant, Manfredi's Italian Restaurant and The Chef's Table, which touts a multicourse tasting menu with wine pairings. For a more casual atmosphere, passengers can stop at Mamsen's for Norwegian deli-style eats or the Wintergarden for afternoon tea.

Seabourn Quest

Seabourn Quest, which launched in June 2011, is one of the smallest ships in Seabourn's fleet. It can fit up to 458 passengers and about one crew member for every cruiser. It is virtually identical to the Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Odyssey .

Seabourn Quest differs from the line's newer ships in terms of accommodations, as it offers some Ocean View Suites with porthole windows instead of verandas. However, all cabins still come equipped with amenities like flat-screen TVs, designer toiletries, personalized stationery, Egyptian cotton linens and in-suite bars stocked with your preferred refreshments.

Outside your suite, you can enjoy a range of pursuits, such as spa and salon treatments, free fitness classes, a nine-hole putting green and two swimming pools. Additionally, Seabourn Quest offers complimentary water sports equipment rentals at its Watersports Marina in select destinations.

Once you've worked up an appetite, sit for a meal at one of the ship's four restaurants, including the main dining room and The Grill, a steakhouse helmed by Michelin-starred chef Thomas Keller. And for evening entertainment, you'll have access to a variety of bars, plus a casino, a dance club and the Grand Salon, where cabaret performances, comedy shows and more are hosted nightly.

Seabourn Sojourn

The 458-passenger Seabourn Sojourn debuted in June 2010 and features all-suite accommodations. About 90% of the suites offer verandas, and all accommodations provide 24-hour room service, flat-screen TVs, bathrooms with dual sinks and a separate living area and bedroom. What's more, cruisers are welcomed with complimentary Champagne upon arrival and can enjoy a fruit basket that's refreshed daily. A suite stewardess is assigned to each cabin to assist with requests as well. Sojourn is virtually identical to its sister ships, Seabourn Odyssey  and Seabourn Quest . 

Outside the rooms, travelers can gamble at the casino, work up a sweat in the fitness center or relax at the spa. Built in 2017, the 3,804-passenger, 1,821-crew-member Norwegian Joy was refurbished in 2020. Accommodation options include Inside, Oceanview and Balcony staterooms, as well as Suites, Concierge rooms (which come with concierge service) and The Haven cabins (which include 24-hour butler service and private sundecks). 

There are 11 dining venues on board including eight specialty restaurants, the latter of which offers American, French, Japanese, Italian, Mexican and Thai cuisines. Complimentary restaurants include the ship's three main dining rooms.

Originally launched as a  Princess  ship, the 648-passenger Sirena was revived in 2016 under the Oceania  name. The ship was most recently revamped in 2019 and features many of the amenities found on its sister ships, including the Aquamar Spa + Vitality Center and duty-free shopping boutiques.

Sirena's dining venues include the Red Ginger Asian restaurant and Tuscan Steak, both of which require reservations and an additional fee. Passengers can also choose from four more casual dining options included in the cruise fare. Recent guests gave the food on the ship mixed reviews. After dinner, evening entertainment includes musicals and theatrical productions, as well as games at the casino. 

Passengers can choose from Inside, Ocean View, Veranda and Suite category cabins. While Inside staterooms start at 160 square feet, those who opt for a suite will find more space and added amenities, such as free internet access and butler service. The ship also now offers solo staterooms for those who are traveling alone.

A major new cruise ship coming to New York will offer sailings from just $66 a day

Cruise giant Carnival this week unveiled pricing for the new ship it plans to base in New York , and — compared to the cost of a hotel in the city, at least — it's quite the bargain.

Fares for the 4,208-passenger Carnival Venezia will start at just $394 per person for a six-night sailing — about $66 a day.

The 135,225-ton vessel, which is newer and larger than the ship Carnival currently has based in New York (the 3,690-passenger Carnival Magic), will operate year-round from the city starting in June 2023.

Carnival Venezia will offer an unusually wide array of itineraries for a Carnival ship, with 22 different routings from New York that range from four to 15 nights. Destinations for the sailings will include the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Bermuda, New England and Canada.

Among the lowest-priced options for a trip on Carnival Venezia unveiled this week are:

• A six-night New England and Canada cruise starting at $394 per person — about $66 a day. The voyage starts Sept. 23, 2023, and includes calls at Portland, Maine; Saint John, New Brunswick; and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
• A seven-night New England and Canada cruise starting at $454 per person — about $66 a day. The voyage starts Sept. 16, 2023, and includes calls at Saint John, New Brunswick; and Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia.
• An eight-night Bahamas cruise starting at $535 per person — about $67 a day. The voyage starts Dec. 10, 2023, and includes calls at Freeport, Nassau and Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas.

All the fares above only are available for the lowest category cabins on the ship, which all are windowless interior cabins. However, Carnival is also offering relatively low rates on ocean-view and balcony cabins on the vessel, too.

As of this week, ocean-view cabins (that is, cabins with a window) on the eight-night Bahamas sailing start at $674 per person — just $139 more than a windowless cabin. Balcony cabins on the sailing start at $794 per person. That works out to about $99 a day for a balcony cabin.

All fares are per-person base rates that include accommodations, meals and entertainment but not port taxes and fees, which range from $179.20 to $193.82. Cruise lines typically advertise their fares without port taxes and fees included but add these costs to final bills at the time of checkout.

As is typical with cruise ship pricing, the per-person fares are "based on double occupancy," which means they are available only to passengers when booking two people in a cabin. Customers who want to have a cabin to themselves will pay more.

Passengers also will pay extra for things like alcoholic drinks, Wi-Fi and service charges while on the cruises.

Cruising From New York with an Italian Twist

When it begins sailings out of New York in 2023, Carnival Venezia will be an outlier in the Carnival fleet. Completed in 2019, the three-year-old vessel was originally built for Italy-based Costa Cruises , a sister brand to Carnival, and is being transferred to Carnival in 2023 without major alterations to its Italian-themed design.

Originally named Costa Venezia, the ship will retain that name on its hull, and most of its interior venues will remain the same as when it sailed for Costa. It'll also retain its distinctive gold-and-blue funnel that is a trademark of Costa vessels.

In short, it'll basically be a Costa vessel marketed by Carnival, with the caveat that it will have a new crew made up of Carnival staffers.

Carnival originally planned to call the ship a "Costa by Carnival" product, to differentiate it from the rest of the Carnival fleet. However, it's recently begun marketing the ship as a vessel that offers "Carnival Fun Italian Style."

Carnival is in the process of absorbing several Costa ships as the latter line struggles to fill vessels due to the closure of China to cruising in the wake of COVID-19 and soft demand for cruises in Europe. Costa was a major player in China cruises before COVID-19 brought cruising from the country to a halt.

Carnival Venezia was originally purpose-built to sail out of China.

Both Carnival and Costa are owned by Carnival Corporation, the world's biggest cruise company.

Carnival Venezia won't be completely devoid of Carnival's signature shipboard venues. In an announcement about Carnival Venezia's first New York itineraries this week, Carnival said the vessel would undergo a few changes before entering service for the line. Updates include re-theming some interior venues to make them more consistent with the Carnival brand.

When it debuts in New York, the ship will have a Carnival Waterworks waterplay area, for instance, and a steakhouse called Fahrenheit 555 — a signature Carnival venue.

There are several options including hailing a taxi, taking a train on the PATH Rapid Transit System train to Manhattan, or boarding a bus that will drop you off in the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Once you are there, the options for getting around the five boroughs are plentiful, as New York has one of the most comprehensive public transit systems in the U.S. The subway operates 24/7. If you’ve decided to stick to landmarks in a particular neighborhood, you’ll be able to get around on foot. If you’re tired, you can hail one of the city’s famous yellow cabs. Rideshares also operate here. 

What are the local currency & tipping customs?

The U.S. Dollar (USD) is the official currency of NYC, and you’ll find ATMs are widespread. Most major credit cards are accepted as well, but it’s helpful to carry cash with you when you shop at bodegas. Many bars have a minimum purchase amount for credit or debit card use.

Florence in California: Carnival launches new Italian-style cruise ship

Carnival Cruise Line is bringing a touch of Italy to Southern California.

The line launched Carnival Firenze, inspired by its namesake city, this week. The vessel sailed its maiden voyage from its Long Beach homeport on Thursday.

“We carry more guests than any other cruise line from California, and now this ship is giving us the opportunity to offer more fun to more people sailing from Long Beach,” Christine Duffy, the line’s president, said in a news release . “The recipe combining this ship’s beautiful Italian theming with the familiarity of our friendly team’s hospitality is, in a word, perfecto!”

The ship is the second in the Carnival Fun Italian Style concept after sister ship Carnival Venezia joined the fleet last summer. Both were originally part of Costa Cruises – also owned by parent company Carnival Corp. – before being rehomed.

Where will Carnival Firenze sail?

The roughly 5,000-guest ship will offer Baja Mexico and Mexican Riviera cruises ranging from three to seven days. Stops include destinations like Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Catalina Island.

What can guests expect on board?

Built in 2020, Firenze was refurbished earlier this year to add Carnival-specific touches. Those include staple venues like the Fahrenheit 555 steakhouse and JavaBlue Cafe.

But the line leans into the ship’s Italian motif. The ship’s atrium was designed with Florence’s Piazza del Duomo in mind and the Lido deck takes influence from the Italian Riviera. There’s even a replica of Michelangelo’s David on board that was previously on Carnival Pride (the real sculpture is located in Florence’s Accademia Gallery).

The theme extends to the food and drink options, with eateries like Italian specialty restaurant Il Viaggio, Mexican-Italian fusion venue Tomodoro and La Strada Grill, serving Italian street food. Frizzante specializes in bubbly drinks, and passengers can sip craft cocktails and Italian coffee at Amari.

Other features include the WaterWorks water park and Serenity Adult-Only Retreat.

How much does Carnival Firenze cost?

Prices vary based on sailing date and other factors, but a five-day Mexican Riviera cruise departing on May 30 currently starts at $409 per person based on double occupancy, according to Carnival’s website . The fare includes much of the food on the ship, drinks like regular coffee and iced tea and more.

New York City is famous for many things, including skyscrapers, Broadway shows and some of the world's top restaurants. It's also a great jumping-off point for cruises to the Caribbean, The Bahamas, Bermuda, Canada, New England and even transatlantic crossings to Europe.

Some of the top cruises out of New York are available with Royal Caribbean, which sails from Cape Liberty, New Jersey. The cruise terminal is located on the southwestern side of New York Harbor and is easily reached by car. Long-term parking is available, so you can head out on your cruise after making the drive.

If you plan to fly in before your cruise, Newark Liberty International Airport is just nine miles away. You can arrange to be met by a Royal Caribbean representative there and whisked off to your ship. Or you can arrive a day or two early to enjoy the sights and activities of New York City. Catch a Broadway show, see the Statue of Liberty or explore The Metropolitan Museum of Art before setting sail. When it's time to board, book a car service or taxi to Cape Liberty, about 20 minutes away from the Holland Tunnel (without traffic), and get ready for your getaway.

One of my favorite memories of sailing from Cape Liberty aboard Anthem of the Seas ® was the 360-degree view of New York Harbor with the Statue of Liberty set against the lower Manhattan skyline. Stay on deck until your ship passes beneath the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge, and as you enter the Atlantic Ocean, look left to catch a glimpse of the circa-1927 Cyclone roller coaster on Coney Island.

Where will your ship sail to as you head off into the sunset? There are a variety of incredible options, so read on for the five best cruises from New Jersey sailing out of Cape Liberty.

1. Best For A Caribbean Vacation

Monster growth! The cruise boom at Carnival continues with debut of another new ship

Make that five new ships for Carnival Cruise Line in just 18 months.

The world's second-biggest cruise brand on Thursday welcomed the first cruisers aboard yet another new vessel, the 4,126-passenger Carnival Firenze, in Long Beach, California.

The 135,156-ton ship is debuting just four months after Carnival unveiled the even bigger 5,374-passenger Carnival Jubilee and 11 months after the line began operating the 4,090-passenger Carnival Venezia .

The latter two ships operate out of Galveston, Texas, and New York City, respectively. Carnival Venezia also spends part of the year sailing out of Port Canaveral, Florida.

Over the past 18 months, Carnival has also added the Miami-based, 5,374-passenger Carnival Celebration and the Australia-based, 2,260-passenger Carnival Luminosa . Carnival Luminosa also spends part of the year sailing out of Seattle.

The addition of the five ships to the Carnival fleet over such a short time span marks one of the fastest expansions of any cruise brand in the history of cruising.

With the addition of the five ships, Carnival now has a record 27 vessels in its fleet.

A new ship with an asterisk

Scheduled to sail year-round out of Long Beach, California, Carnival Firenze is a new ship for Carnival, but it's new with an asterisk. The 15-deck-high vessel has sailed before for another cruise line, Italy-based Costa Cruises.

Originally called Costa Firenze, the vessel sailed its maiden voyage for Costa, a sister brand to Carnival, in July 2021, making it nearly three years old.

Carnival Firenze is just one of several Costa vessels that Carnival Corporation, the parent company of Costa and Carnival, has transferred from Costa to Carnival in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pandemic and its aftermath hurt the Costa brand much more than the Carnival brand. This was in part because the Costa brand had big operations in China, where cruising shut down during the pandemic for far longer than it did in North America.

Carnival operates most of its ships out of U.S. ports and draws a lot of the customers for these ships from the states near these ports — a segment of close-to-home cruising that has been booming since cruising resumed in 2021.

The result has been a stronger demand for Carnival ships than Costa ships.

Carnival Firenze's first sailing for Carnival, starting Thursday, will be a seven-night voyage to the Mexican Riviera that includes stops at Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas.

Carnival cruising with an Italian twist

Like Carnival Venezia, which also is a former Costa ship, Carnival Firenze is something of an outlier in the Carnival fleet as the vessel retains much of its Italian theming from when it sailed for Costa.

The ship also still has its original, distinctive gold-and-blue funnel that is a trademark of Costa's vessels.

That said, Carnival Firenze won't be devoid of Carnival's signature shipboard venues. In recent months, the ship has undergone a significant overhaul in a dry dock in Spain that included the re-theming of many interior eateries and bars, as well as top-deck attractions to make them more consistent with the Carnival brand.

For instance, the ship will have a Carnival Waterworks water play area and a Steakhouse — a signature Carnival venue.

Other venues now on the ship that will be familiar to Carnival fans include a Guy Fieri-inspired Guy's Burger Joint, a Bonsai Sushi eatery, a Chef's Table, Lido Marketplace, Seafood Shack, a Pizzeria del Capitano pizza outlet and a Heroes Tribute Bar.

The ship also will have a new crew made up of Carnival staffers.

In short, Carnival Firenze will combine elements of both Costa and Carnival ships.

Carnival originally planned to call the ship a "Costa by Carnival" product to differentiate it from the rest of the Carnival fleet, but it eventually switched to marketing Carnival Firenze as a vessel that offers "Carnival Fun Italian Style."

Carnival Firenze, notably, was originally purpose-built to sail out of China with Chinese travelers but with Italian theming that played up Costa's Italian roots. Its theming is specifically tied to Florence, Italy — Firenze is what Italians call Florence.

The Carnival and Costa brands have long had similarities that make a transfer of ships between the two lines less complex than one might think. Ships for both Costa and Carnival often are built on the same platforms — that is, they share the same basic structural design and rough interior spaces. In such cases, the main difference between the ships of the two brands is the theming of specific spaces.

As of this week, fares for Carnival Firenze sailings start at $214 per person, not including taxes and fees, for a four-night sailing from Long Beach to Mexico.

You'll also gain access to the cruise terminal as soon as the transfer gets you there, regardless of your arrival appointment time — a small thing that's surprisingly nice on embarkation day! And after the cruise, of course we'll get you to the airport in time for your return flight.

Book your transfer service up to two days prior to your sail date (if you're sailing from Charleston, the limit is five days prior.) Children under two ride for free, as long as they ride on a parent's lap and do not occupy a seat.

BARCELONA TRANSFERS

Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Barcelona International Airport and Port of Barcelona on the days of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.

Airport-to-pier transportation

To purchase Carnival’s transportation service, your flight must arrive at Barcelona Airport no later than 12:00 PM on the day of your cruise.

Transportation service will be provided between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

NOTE: Guests who purchase their own air tickets and are using Carnival's Airport Transportation are required to provide flight information via Online Check-In no later than two days prior to their cruise date. The airport is staffed based on known flight information. Once all known flights are met, the staff is released and service is no longer available.

Pier-to-airport transportation

Return flights must not be any earlier than 12:00 PM. Transportation service will be provided during the duration of the debarkation process.

PURCHASING TRANSPORTATION

To purchase transportation, guests can contact either their travel agent or Carnival reservations directly at 1-800-327-9501. Guests can also purchase transportation by following these steps:

Guests who purchase their own air tickets are required to provide flight information via Online Check-In when purchasing transportation. Changes to flight details are the responsibility of the guest and must be re-entered into Online Check-In no later than two days prior to their cruise. Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Miami International or Ft. Lauderdale International Airport to Port Miami on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.

To purchase Carnival's transportation service, your flight must arrive by no later than the time listed below on the day of your cruise:   • Ft. Lauderdale International - no later than 11:30 AM   • Miami International Airport - no later than 12:00 PM

Transportation service will run hourly and will be provided as follows:   • Ft. Lauderdale International Airport - one departure at 12:00 PM   • Miami International Airport - between 10:00 AM and 12:30 PM

NOTE: Guests who purchase their own airfare tickets and are using Carnival's Airport Transportation are required to provide flight information via Online Check-In no later than two days prior to their cruise date. The airport is staffed based on known flight information. Once all known flights are met, the staff is released and service is no longer available.

Return flights must not be any earlier than 1:00 PM on the day of debarkation.

Transportation service will be provided as follows:   • Ft. Lauderdale International Airport - one departure at 9:30 AM   • Miami International Airport - between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM

Arriving into Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL):   • Terminals #1 & 3: Near baggage claim #3   • Terminals #2 & 4: Near baggage claim #1

Guests who arrive prior to their sail date must return to the airport to one of the following meeting locations no later 11:00 AM:   • Miami International Airport (MIA): Near baggage claim #1 or #22   • Fort Lauderdale International Airport (FLL): Terminal #2 near baggage claim #1

NEW ORLEANS TRANSFERS

Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between New Orleans International Airport and the Port of New Orleans on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.

To purchase Carnival's transportation service, your flight must arrive no later than 1:00 PM on the day of your cruise. Transportation service will be provided between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM.

Return flights must not be any earlier than 11:30 AM on the day of debarkation. Transportation service will be provided during the duration of the debarkation process.

After collecting luggage, guests should proceed towards the Private Transportation area; a transfer service representative will be located between Door 3 and Door 4. Once there, a representative will escort guests to the pier transportation. Guests who arrive prior to their sail date must return to the airport no later than 10:00 AM on the day of sailing to meet with a representative at the meeting point mentioned above.

NEW YORK TRANSFERS

Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Newark or La Guardia or John F. Kennedy Airport to the Port of New York on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.

To purchase Carnival's transportation service, your flight must arrive at Newark or La Guardia or John F. Kennedy Airport no later than 12:00 PM on the day of your cruise. Transportation service will be provided between 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

Return flights must not be any earlier than 1:00 PM on the day of debarkation. Transportation service will be provided during the duration of the debarkation process.

After collecting luggage, guests should proceed to one of the Welcome Center locations listed below. Once there, a representative will escort guests to the pier transportation. Transfers service will be provided by Intercruises Shoreside and Port Services. Arriving into La Guardia Airport :   • Welcome Center in Terminal B, Level 1 Welcome Center or Terminal C Welcome Center (baggage claim level)

Arriving into John F. Kennedy Airport :   • Welcome Center in Terminal 5 Welcome Center, across from Carousel # 3 & # 4

Arriving into Newark Airport :   • Welcome Center in Terminal A (baggage claim level) seating area or Terminal C, Welcome Center (Level 1) seating area at Dunkin' Donuts or Terminal C Welcome Center (Level 1 opposite Starbucks)

Guests who arrive prior to their sail date must return to the airport to one of the meeting locations mentioned to join our hourly departure at 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM on the day of sailing. Departures are not available prior to 10:00 AM when Pier Check-in opens. Once there, a Carnival representative will meet and escort you to your pier transportation.

ORLANDO TRANSFERS

Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Orlando International Airport or Melbourne International Airport to Port Canaveral on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.

To purchase Carnival's transportation service, your flight must arrive at:   • Orlando International Airport: No later than 1:00 PM on the day of your cruise.   • Melbourne International Airport: No later than 1:00 PM on the day of your cruise.

Transportation service will be provided from:   • Orlando International Airport between 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM.   • Melbourne International Airport between 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM.

Return flights must not be any earlier than:   • Orlando International Airport 12:50 PM.   • Melbourne International Airport 12:00 PM.

After collecting luggage guests would proceed to one of the meeting points listed below. Once there, a representative will escort guests to the pier transportation. Transportation service is provided by Sunward Tours. Service is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. Orlando Airport: Level One Ground Transportation of Terminal B, inside against the wall next to Hertz car rental counter. Melbourne Airport: Within the ground transportation area.

Guests who arrive prior to their sail date must return to the meeting location mentioned above on the day of the sailing no later than 12:00 PM.

Please keep in mind, we cannot guarantee transportation service for guests who do not provide us their flight information or provide incorrect details, and refunds will not be issued.

ROME (CIVITAVECCHIA) TRANSFERS

Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Rome–Fiumicino International Airport and Port of Civitavecchia on the days of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.

To purchase Carnival’s transportation service, your flight must arrive at Rome–Fiumicino International Airport no later than 12:00 PM on the day of your cruise. Transfer service will be provided between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Transfers are scheduled to run every 45-60 minutes.

Driving time from Port of Civitavecchia to FCO Airport is approximately 1.5 hours.

Return flights must not be any earlier than 12:00 PM on the day of debarkation. Transportation service will be provided at 7:00 am, 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

Driving time to Rome is 1.5 hours.

It’s recommended for guests on international flights to arrive at FCO Airport at least three hours prior to the flight departure.

Guests who purchase their own air tickets are required to provide flight information via Online Check-In when purchasing transportation. Changes to flight details are the responsibility of the guest and must be entered into Online Check-In no later than two days prior to their cruise. Carnival is not responsible for providing transportation to guests who schedule flights outside of the service times listed above or provide incorrect flight information.

After collecting luggage, guests should proceed to Customs and into the Arrivals area. The meeting point is at Terminal 3, Arrivals, door number 1 (indoor) where a Carnival representative will meet guests and escort them to the pier transportation.

Guests who arrive prior to their sail date must return to the airport meeting point on the day of sailing no later than 11:00 AM.

SAN FRANCISCO TRANSFERS

Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between San Francisco International Airport and the Port of San Francisco on the days of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.

To purchase Carnival's transportation service, your flight must arrive at San Francisco Airport no later than 12:00 PM on the day of your cruise. Transfer service will start at 10:30 AM and run hourly to the port until 1:00 PM.

Guests who arrive prior to their sail date, must return to Terminal #1 Baggage Carousel #1 on the day of sailing, no later than 12:00 PM.

A pier representative will direct guests to a motorcoach once they have collected they have cleared customs and exited the terminal.

SEATTLE TRANSFERS

Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation services between Seattle/Tacoma International Airport and the Port of Seattle on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.

To purchase Carnival's transportation service, your flight must arrive no later than 12:00 PM on the day of your cruise. Transportation service will start at 10:30 AM and run hourly shuttles to the port until 1:00 PM.

Return flights must not be any earlier than 12:00 PM on the day of debarkation. Transportation service will be provided during the duration of the debarkation process.

After collecting their luggage, guests should proceed to baggage claim twelve (12) on the lower level of the airport. Once there, a representative will escort the guests to the pier transportation.

Guests who arrive prior to their sail date must return to the airport no later than 11:00 AM on the day of sailing to meet with a representative at the meeting point mentioned above.

A pier representative will direct guests to their motorcoach once they have collected their luggage, clear customs, and exit the terminal.

TAMPA TRANSFERS

Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Tampa International Airport and the Port of Tampa on the day of embarkation or debarkation only. Guests may purchase transportation up to two days prior to their sail date.

To purchase Carnival's transportation service, your flight must arrive no later than 1:30 PM on the day of your cruise. Transportation service will be provided between 10:30 AM and 2:00 PM.

After collecting luggage, guests should proceed towards baggage claim area of the Red or Blue side near the elevators. Once there, a representative will escort guests to the pier transportation. Guests who arrive prior to their sail date must return to the airport no later than 10:00 AM on the day of sailing to meet with a representative at the meeting point mentioned above.
