***WARNING REFUND POLICY: YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR REFUND IN TEN MINUTES WHEN YOU COME IN.*** Important, you do not feel 100% satisfied with the owner and/or staff after writing the Travelodge by Wyndham about your horrible experience or issues. Updated: Unfortunately, I had contacted Travelodge By Wyndham about my horrible experience, and they were not helpful. Instead of filling the dispute complaint from my boyfriend's bank. It worked that got me refunded $79 back, and I was grateful to his bank was on my side. I give this hotel's reviews which his lack of experience a couple of disadvantages. First, the motel's owner, Samir Patel, was more corrupt; I met this person, no joke. I never trusted him so much, and his integrity was all of the words: untrustworthy, dishonest, irresponsible, fraudster, and unreliable. I was booked in the appointment for one night, and then I used my iPhone for "note" for communication. The owner had been keeping to speak and also refuses to write or type my iPhone what I needed. I continually told him that I'm deaf and use my iPhone to communicate via our devices. Last, he noticed my car's tinted windows and asked me if I have any dogs inside my car. I stated I have two dogs, but they weren't with me, and they stayed at my boyfriend's parent's house. As well as, he didn't believe me and called me a lair. What the fuck. I replied, "Sir, I think you are unprofessional because I have no idea what the fuck you are talking about my dogs, or we have to focus our problem. Call the police for requesting some reasons?" He had no comments and went ahead to make the agreements. So, they are even not deaf-friendly staff if only you are from another state. I consider the owner should have fixed this refunded policy before others' rights have to fill the dispute complaint against them. Not highly recommend. Ensure to read these negative reviews and find another motel or hotel before it would be too late. Admittedly I should have believed in Lavonia T's review instead of dropping it out. I will not come back for here, again. Update for fixing on the grammar structure.

The owner is named Samir Patel is worse I've met this person, serious. I was using my smartphone for communicating on the note app, then I aware that Samir or India guy kept to talking with his lip instead refused to type my smartphone. I continue to tell him that I'm deaf and please use my iPhone for easy communicate... NEVER HAPPEN. Also, I said to him that our dogs were staying my boyfriend's parents' house, but he didn't believe me because my car's windows are TINTED. SMH. I firmly believe that he is unprofessional. Pro: The room looks like nice from upstairs, and I love two Spanish ladies because they were treating me more respect! Con: Not friendly to deaf people if less we are from other states when we are staying here, and the owner needs to change their refunded policy. NO RECOMMEND. I NEVER COME BACK AGAIN, AND I WILL LOOK FORWARD to MOTEL 6 or HOTEL. In a few days ago, I admited that I should listen to Lavonia T's reviews.

DISGUSTING AND SHADY! After trying SEVERAL rooms because of cleanliness issues, I ended up calling the 800 number to switch hotels. Then find out they still plan to charge me for tonight! Off to call the Health Department. WRONG AND DISGUSTING! If you have issues, the owners name is Samir Patel. Black mold was in one of the rooms behind the door! The place needs condemed. Well it is 11:30 PM....just got moved to a new room. After listening to our upstairs neighbors stomping and moving stuff around for the last hour I finally put in ear plugs and had just fallen asleep when the lights in the room mysteriously turned on...the second time this happened we called the front desk and they told us to put duct tape over the sensor...after explaining we don't travel with duct tape he brought some to our room. We told him we hadn't been moving around when the lights had turned on....he said the switches were failing, shrugged, put duct tape over the sensor and walked away...5 minutes later the lights came on AGAIN. My husband went to the front desk, we were given a new room, so we packed up all of our stuff and carried it up to the second floor.....To the room that is easily 85 degrees because the AC wasn't running in it. So, now here we are....trying to keep a schedule and will need to be up on less that 5 hours

Read the reviews!! Such a WASTE of money. They will not refund you. The room has holes everywhere nothing works. BED BUGS!!!! The mini fridge was not cleaned out. My towels were unclean. They gave me USED towels. It's really not worth your health and money.

Was driving back from Las Vegas and looking for a decent place to stay. I thought that the names Travelodge and Wyndham would assure decent quality but it really wasn't. The price was good and the workers were friendly. Inexpensive places to eat were close by. But overall, this place wasn't good. The mattress and pillows were uncomfortable. Some of the towels looked dirty. And you could hear the neighbors through the thin type walls. Didn't get a good night sleep. Wouldn't stop here again.

If I could give this shitty place 0 stars I would. My fiancé and I are livid. We had the worst stay, they charged us $160 for a room where everything was broken. The faucet in the sink had nothing but boiling water coming out and it was all loose coming off the counter, the tv was barely hanging on a hinge about to fall and had no safety bar so it was at an Angle toward the ceiling. Not only that there was old Chinese food smelled rotten and horrible in our microwave that my fiancé happened to be allergic to. They got it and wiped it down. Then my fiancé is 6'2-6'3 so when he was getting ready to hop in the shower he pulled the curtain to close it and it flipped down off the two top screws and hit him in his head. He has a huge knot on his head and all staff who works there was feeding us lies the whole time on when the owner would contact us back or when he would be in they said they left my number with the owner who still never called or even has cared to contact us back to resolve the situation the manager is also no help at all and I'm pretty sure it was the owner lying saying he was the manager the whole time telling us to sue them and to get his name my fiancé needs to come down there with a cop. Now I made a claim with Wyndham so this shitty hotel has 10 days to resolve the issue with me or I'm sure they will get shut down. I had started to research our hotel for the last night of our road trip a bit and then we decided to wait and "play it by ear" for that night. See how far we could easily get on our way back home. While doing that initial planning, I had considered Victorville as a likely stop. I had pretty much gotten it narrowed down to two before I stopped, but had this one in particular as a definite NO due to reviews on here and AARP's Expedia. Fast forward to our dinner that night in Huntington Beach... Hubby decided that we would drive to Victorville after all. He was on the AARP Expedia page and we decided on a particular hotel. He then somehow accidentally booked here instead. It was too late by the time he realized his mistake (and no cancellation since it was well after 6pm). I remembered all that I had read about it at both sites and actually felt nauseous, I literally started praying that we would have a decent enough room and continued praying the whole way there. When we arrived, the young lady was pleasant. When we got into the room, Hubby and I looked very closely everywhere before we brought things into the room. It looked like my prayers were answered. They also had several old carpets sitting outside in the front, so they were likely starting to get a handle on issues. One problem we had, though, was that my CPap machine kept coming unplugged during the night. Not good! There was also a major lack of convenient plug ins and some didn't have the wall plate around the sockets. The fire alarm was also removed from the wall and hidden under the mattress. It was supposed to be a non-smoking room, but there was a faint smell of smoke in there. The beds and pillows were honestly extremely uncomfortable, too. We pretty much slept and got out of there ASAP. The price there was also right up there with hotels/motels easily a huge step above in quality. You will notice that I do not give 1 star very lightly, but this one deserves it. We will not be staying there again.

There were a few issues with this place and my stay here ...besides the fact that the room floors were not moped and cleaned they were rude and the room we stayed in had bedbugs my kids woke up bitten ...and at the moment of our check out I gott a hard time from them after I simply asked for a receipt ...I would deffinetly not stay here again or recommend to any known or unknown person ...this is absolutely my worst experience traveling

The lodge’s Gallery, a tranquil library and lounge, is now decorated with a cabinet of curiosities and a series of prints depicting the life of Shaka Zulu, the former ruler of the Zulu Kingdom.

“The original catchphrase was ‘Zulu Zen,’ and we wanted to keep that,” says Kerri Smithers, general manager of Phinda Forest. “But we’ve also added an ‘Afro Japanese’ touch with the low seating and Japanese-inspired doors.”

“The woven papyrus mats on the ceiling look Japanese but are actually made by local women and are used on flooring and to take to the beach,” she says. “The lights are inspired by traditional Zulu brooms and have also been made by local women. And as Zulus use lots of clay, we’ve added these decorative clay pots, which traditionally are passed around to drink beer out of.”

Outside, the terrace can be used to host private dinners, while a few steps away, the birds-nest-inspired fire pit is the new hot spot for pre-dinner drinks, while recounting the day’s safari adventures.

The camp’s 16 lodges now include a new larger family-friendly suite. It’s made up of two interconnecting rooms that have been refigured to maximize the space, something that Smithers says was a key part of the refurbishment since it avoided a complete rebuild that would’ve disturbed the surrounding habitat. The bedroom’s clean lines nod to Japanese minimalism. The geometric headboard is made from the same papyrus mats as the Gallery’s ceiling, juxtaposed to broom lamps and decorative hanging beadwork. Chunky wood furnishings crafted from stained iroko and touches of forest green Astrus marble bring the outside in, but what really connects you with nature are the floor-to-ceiling windows that wrap around the lodge, including one next to the luxuriously deep tub. You can continue to spot grazing nyala and curious monkeys at all hours; the team even recommend sleeping with the curtains to really feel like you’re spending the night in the forest, at one with nature.

Still, none of this comes easily. To operate any private reserve is a frustratingly Sisyphean task. The death of one beloved game animal leads to an over-population of another. Too many elephants can  destroy a forest; too few can leave it overgrown. But rather than toil in silence, andBeyond allows guests to become a part of their delicate conservation work.    In fact, many of the camp’s most exclusive adventures allow a limited number of guests the once-in-a-lifetime experience of getting hands on.   Help by notching the ears of rhino, or dehorning one to deter poachers. You can also assist in changing the collars on elephants or witness the release of animals, such as cheetahs and lions. If you’re more into pangolins then predators, then andBeyond will take you out to play hide-and-seek with the elusive animals, which have been successfully reintroduced to the region. And, oh what a region it is.
