Sevendust is an American alternative metal band from Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in 1994, the group went through multiple name changes before settling on the name Sevendust and releasing their debut album.

The original members of the band, Lajon Witherspoon, John Connolly, Clint Lowery, Vince Hornsby and Morgan Rose, came together in 1994 and worked constantly on their sound for a few years before releasing any material. In 1996 the band released the track “My Ruin” which was featured on videogame soundtrack, “More Kombat”.

The band’s heavy riffs and thrashing drum lines proved popular with fans and, after extensive touring to support the release of their debut album, “Sevendust”, in 1997, the album was finally certified gold despite only getting to 165 on the US Billboard chart.

With a legion of fans in their corner after their extensive touring for the album “Sevendust”, the band released their second studio album “Home” in 1999, which shot to the number 19 spot in the US Billboard chart. Like it’s predecessor, the album was eventually certified gold.

To widen their audience, the band toured extensively worldwide alongside huge bands such as Metallica, Korn, Limp Bizkit, Nonpoint, Kid Rock and Creed. With this exposure the band achieved their biggest success to date in 2003 with the album “Seasons”, which peaked at the number 14 position on the US Billboard chart. The band’s first top 10 single also came from this album, with “Enemy” hitting the number 10 spot on the US Mainstream Rock chart.

It was seven years before Sevendust was able to outdo the success of “Seasons”. In 2010, the band released “Cold Day Memory” which shot to number 12 on the US Billboard chart. The album’s lead single, “Unravelling” also performed well, getting to number seven on the US Mainstream Rock chart.

When asked to describe their genre of music, Sevendust has struggled to define their style. Instead, they explain that their music has evolved through a number of sub genres including nu metal, heavy metal and rock. Sevendust claim their influences as Twisted Sister, Anthrax and Ministry.

Live reviews

Whether a small or big concert hall or festival stage, Sevendust delivers the goods and well at that! The first time I saw 7D, I arrived at a moderate size arena they were playing at just at the tail end of their set. Much to my dismay I also missed an autograph session they held in the lobby after that by a hair's breadth. Since then, however, I saw them rock the afternoon concert stage electric fashion at Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar three years ago. Singer Lajon Witherspoon's voice is nothing short of amazing as his impressive vocal range and style can morph from loud and gravelly to quiet and melodic, making for a great sing-along! Just recently during the end of the first leg of their current tour, they played a more intimate concert, namely an acoustic set at a Knights of Columbus Hall in my home state. It put the music in a whole new perspective and with a catered lunch and open bar, made for a true party atmosphere. Drummer Morgan Rose provided a hypnotic back beat with his bongo drum set and guitarists Clint Lowery and John Connolly along with Vince Hornsby's bass playing created melodies that were nothing short of intricate and infectious. In addition, I was finally able to get closure on a missed meet&greet from four years ago, something I told Witherspoon I had been angling to do since then when I spoke with him after the concert and was gracious about taking a picture with me for posterity as well. A grand day out!

Now this is going back to 2016, but I have to beg for you guys to PLEASE do another tour of Australia and maybe drag Disturbed with you? That would be one epic event I would give a testicle to be at! Not really but you get my passion...

Huge appreciation for not skipping the most isolated city in the known universe, Perth, Western Australia too, made my decade!

Capitol nightclub turned into the most charged atmosphere in the country that night and Kill The Flaw were awesome support. Seeing the guys interact with the audience and get emotional when playing Shine and Angel's Son made it feel like a very special, soulful event.

So thank you for all your hard work and dedication to your craft, you're truly masters at it and have inspired and strengthened me through some extremely trying and tough times. Wouldn't mind hearing a little more off Seasons next time, like Burned Out and Suffocate. ;-) Keep rocking guys, you're all inspirational, not least for staying together and having a true and obvious bond us fans certainly appreciate. No sellouts. Kudos!

The show was amazing. They played all the good songs, like 3 or 4 from every album. Even songs from Next that didn't include Clint, which is pretty cool now that he is back in the band. The sound was good at The Opera House in Toronto. The lights and atmosphere were killer. The big highlight of the night was Angel's Son. It gave me goose bumps because it was so meaningful and heartfelt. At the end of the night Lajon came out after he was done the meet and greet on the bus and met us all. He gave me a big hug saying that he didn't want to leave Toronto and thanked everyone for their support of the band. He signed everyone's items and my girlfriend's arm. He let everyone take lots of pictures which he seemed to enjoy, very humble. I would recommend Sevendust to anyone that loves a killer hook, great singing and heavy drums, just in the right proportions. Very professional, very polite. Absolutely amazing.

You would think that after seeing this band perform live 10 times that I would get tired of or find no value in seeing them again but that just couldn't be further from the truth. Sevendust always delivers and makes a connection with the crowd. They create such an amazing atmosphere for themselves and the fans... or as they say "family". Sidewise opened for them and they were quite good. The other opening band was the new up-and-comers Gemini Syndrome. They had a few sound issues but they were great too.

If you like their music and ever get a chance to see Sevendust YOU WILL NOT be disappointed! EVER!

brad-miller’s profile image

Absolutely awesome show. I love the small venues. I had never heard of Silent Season before and they put on a very good show. Gemini syndrome was awesome and after their show they joined the crowd for Sevendust. This might sound different but Sevendust microphone stand was awesome, it reminded me of a lightsaber. First time at the Pensacola vinyl music hall, nice place. Not as big as I expected but that made the show that much more personable. Prices weren't outrageous. I look forward to seeing them again.

You can never go wrong with a Sevendust show! They have so much energy! So happy and appreciative of their fans base! Every song was a banger! Even the opening acts, Tremonti, Cane Hill and especially a band I haven’t listened to in the past called Lullwater has gained some new fans from our group. They really jammed! Can’t wait for the next tour! Always a Sevendust fan!

I have been to several concerts at Iron City over the last 6 years...Seether with Saint Asonia...Blue October...and a few others. The Sevendust concert was by far the best. They sounded absolutely amazing. They interacted with the crowd and made us all feel like family.

SEVENDUST previously played all of "Animosity" at a January 2021 livestream event from Opav in Orlando, Florida. At the time, singer Lajon Witherspoon told Midwest Beatdown : "Oh my God. There's some songs on [that album] that we've never played, I think. It's gonna be fun to get back and do it, and also to play some of those songs we've never had the time to play, and to see each other again and to laugh with each other and look at each other, and start jamming and somebody's back breaks or falls out, because we're old now.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back and doing 'Animosity' and having a good time, and hopefully bringing some type of sense of weird normalcy in this world that we're trying to navigate through during this pandemic," he continued. "And I can't believe it's gonna be 20-something years since we recorded it. Oh my God.

"So many people have been asking for it, so that was another weird thing. It was, like, 'We've gotta do this,'" Lajon added. "And I've kind of gone [back] and listened to the songs, and there were some really cool songs. And what a great time in our careers as young men growing up and just kind of learning about life and the industry and everything that was going on with it. It's just really cool."

SEVENDUST 's third album, "Animosity" was released in November 2001 through TVT Records . The disc peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America ( RIAA ) in March 2002 for shipments in excess of half a million copies.

SEVENDUST 's 13th studio album, "Blood & Stone" , was released in October 2020 via Rise Records . The follow-up to 2018's "All I See Is War" was once again tracked at Studio Barbarosa in Gotha, Florida with producer Michael "Elvis" Baskette , who has previously worked with ALTER BRIDGE and SLASH , among others.

The return of the Rock.

After a devastating year and some change, the world is finally starting to spin again. We’re seeing our first bit of normalcy in what seems like forever. Things we’ve longed for are becoming reality again, and one of the things we’ve missed the most is live entertainment.

One of the first acts to get back on the road are metal mainstays Sevendust. The band is ferociously touring across the country, finally getting to support their 2020 album Blood & Stone in person. Last night in the shadow of the old Bethlehem Steel factory, Sevendust manufactured some serious metal for a sold-out crowd.

Local favorites Another Day Dawns kicked off the evening’s festivities. The band churned out a brief but bad-ass set to set to warm up the crows for Sevendust. They debuted two new songs – “Alive” and an untitled track that the band has dubbed “The Big JC” for now.

sevendust europe tour

While it was a hometown show for the boys, we won’t be referring to them as a “local” act for much longer. Their stock has certainly shot up in 2021.With performances slated for Blue Ridge Rock Festival, Aftershock, Louder Than Life, and Rocklahoma this year, the sun is quickly rising for Another Day Dawns.

KIRRA have been grinding it out for a few years now, and this tour is a great rediscovery of the band for fans. Super groovy, they performed tunes from their last studio LP Redefine . Despite the album’s freshness, KIRRA have already unleashed a new single “Crutch.” A perfect combination of Down and Clutch, the track was the highlight of their set. It’s a perfect piece of southern sludge that’s rock radio ready. Judging by this new single, fans should be stoked about what KIRRA have coming down the pike.

sevendust europe tour

Rowdy cowboy Austin Meade shook things up next. He slowed things down a bit, but it wasn’t a buzz kill. Great stage presence and a top-notch backing band, Meade had swagger for days and certainly showed Sevendust fans something new. His stage banner behind him reads, “Howdy Fuckers.” You gotta love how the guy rolls.

It seems like the days of the solo rockstar are long gone. Rock has been searching for the next Ozzy, the next Nugent, for a long time it seems. With his fun stage persona and Lemmy-like appearance, Austin Meade seems to have what it takes to go to the next level.

sevendust europe tour

Sevendust need no introduction. Taking the stage to the first thunderous applause they’ve heard in over year, the band opened with “Dying To Live” from their latest studio outing. Immediately, it was clear how hungry the crowd was.

Sevendust’s 13th studio effort  Blood & Stone , which came out in 2020. The record hit No. 2 on Billboard Top Hard Rock Albums and No. 10 on Top Rock Albums. Earlier this year, the band performed multiple livestream events, revising their classic LPs  Home (1999),  Animosity  (2001), and  Seasons  (2003).

sevendust europe tour

The band played a fairly balanced set, performing tracks from nine of their studio albums. Clearly favored, however, was their 1999 smash Home from with which the band pulled for tracks. The band also debuted “Blood from a Stone” from their 2020 album of a similar name.

Highlights included “Black,” “Driven,” “Waffle,” “Denial,” “Praise,” and their haunting ballad “Skeleton Key.” They closed out the evening in perfect Sevendust fashion with an encore of their punishing track “Face To Face.”

sevendust europe tour

During the set, frontman Lajon Witherspoon spoke to the crowd about the how surreal it was being back on stage. He reminisced about other area venues like Crocodile Rock Cafe in Allentown ,and the Chameleon Club in Lancaster with succumbed to the pandemic. It was clear that Sevendust were grateful to be touring again for their fans.

Sevendust are one of rock’s most reliable acts. For over 20 years, the band has churned out some of music’s most muscular metal. A fan’s band, they are grateful to be on stage after two decades and folks are still lining up to buy tickets. Their experience is evident in the gray beards of Clint Lowery and John Connolly. As a fan since I picked up the Home CD 22 years ago, the gray in my beard is starting to match. For many like myself, Sevendust is a band we grew up with.

sevendust europe tour

At festivals, we constantly count on them to absolutely obliterate our eardrums in their late afternoon slot.

As their silver anniversary approaches, the band have created a discography that’s seen nine albums crack the Top 25 on the Billboard 200. Three of their albums have been certified Gold by the RIAA. The numbers are great, but their legacy is in their live show.

It’s time to give Sevendust their flowers.

Take a tour of Europe at Staunton Music Festival's SpringFest concert

sevendust europe tour

STAUNTON — Take a tour of Europe while never leaving Staunton at SpringFest: Baroque Journeys, a Staunton Music Festival weekend concert April 12-14.

Now in its third year, SpringFest offers a three-day celebration of Baroque music, spanning Europe from West to East and culminating with Handel's Italian oratorio  La Resurrezione . All concerts feature period instrument performers. Programs include music for voices, orchestra, and chamber ensembles and feature historical keyboards.

Through this music, and this particular program with its place based music, audiences will be transported to Europe and back in time, too. A new way to travel, if you will. These are masterpieces that have stood the test of time. Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" on Saturday night is known to classical music lovers as a crowd pleaser.

Because Staunton Music Festival plays all music composed prior to 1850 on instruments of that era, via “historic performance,” audiences will actually hear it the way that audiences would have heard it back then, when the composer wrote it. That’s unusual, and it happens here in Staunton.

As opposed to the larger summer festival, SpringFest is all early music — all Baroque. The summer festival's music spans more than 600 years into the present day. Every concert this weekend will be performed on period instruments, by artists trained in historic performance. To learn more, visit: https://www.stauntonmusicfestival.org/period-instruments

Carsten Schmidt, Staunton Music Festival's artistic director, will take audiences on a tour of the continent over the course of the weekend's performances. The weekend will culminate with Handel's Italian oratorio La Resurrezione .

Viktor Hovland: From FedExCup glory to PGA Tour struggles - what's gone wrong for Ryder Cup star in 2024?

Viktor Hovland won the PGA Tour's FedExCup and was closing in on the world No 1 ranking in 2023, along with helping Europe claim Ryder Cup glory and earning $38m in prize money, but has struggled so far this year; watch The Masters live on Sky Sports

@MarcBazeley

Tuesday 9 April 2024 15:39, UK

There is little which encapsulates the frustration of golf more than the difference between Viktor Hovland's end to the 2023 PGA Tour season and his start to 2024.

The Norwegian seemed to have the world at his feet as he capped the Tour year with a maiden FedExCup triumph, having also won the Memorial Tournament and the BMW Championship, and went on to help Europe reclaim the Ryder Cup by winning a joint-second-highest 3.5 points from his matches in Rome - with only Rory McIlroy earning more.

Yet the now-world No 6 has failed to carry those performances over to 2024, with his showing at last month's Players Championship, where he eventually finished tied for 62nd on one under for the tournament after a closing round of 74, underlining the struggles he has faced prior to teeing up at Augusta National for The Masters this week.

The Masters - Live

Nevertheless, he is adamant those early-season woes after embarking on making major changes to his game during the winter have only served to fire him up for The Masters, where he held the co-lead after the first round in 2023.

"If I play badly, that almost motivates you more than when I'm playing good," Hovland said. "When I'm playing good it's like 'okay, I know what I'm doing, I can take tomorrow off' or 'I know that I'm playing good, I can just chill for a little bit' or whatever.

"You become more complacent, but I would say the moment I play bad or make a couple of mistakes, that motivates me more to come back better and that's definitely how I've felt in the last couple of months.

"The frustrating part is when you're trying to figure things out and you don't see the progress, and you don't know if this is the right road ahead, and that's when you have to think more about the process rather than just shutting that off and committing to it."

A cursory look at the 26-year-old's results for the year so far tells its own story. After scoring nine top-10 finishes last year, including tying for seventh at The Masters, and tying for second at the PGA Championship, Hovland has yet to finish higher than 19th in 2024.

His performance at TPC Sawgrass during The Players was way below his showing at the corresponding event in 2023 when he tied for third, and that 19th place at the Genesis Invitational is the only tournament so far where he has bettered his finish in it last year.

Sky Sports Golf analyst Tim Barter, who coached former major winners Seve Ballesteros and Darren Clarke, cited the ongoing process of Hovland rebuilding his swing under the tutelage of former PGA Tour player Grant Waite, having split with previous coach Joe Mayo, as a big reason behind his dip.

"He gave a lot of credit to his coach, Joe Mayo, through the season for getting him to those new heights, particularly improving his short game which used to be a weakness and became a strength," Barter told Sky Sports .

Hovland

"Somewhat surprisingly, in between the two seasons, we heard he'd fired Joe Mayo and gone to work with Grant Waite...and he's now in a transition between the swing Mayo built and the swing Grant Waite is trying to help him achieve.

"The stats reflect he's really struggling at the moment."

Beyond the headline results, a deeper dive into the numbers reveals just how alarming Hovland's drop-off has been in several areas of his game.

Prior to last week's Valero Texas Open, his strokes gained total had dipped from the eighth-best on the PGA Tour of 1.648 to 119th on -0.177 following The Players, while his scoring average slumped from a fourth highest of 69.123 per round to 72.098 and ranked 160th.

Viktor Hovland 2023 vs 2024 on the PGA Tour*

In terms of specific parts of his game, Hovland's performances off the tee saw him drop from fifth to 37th in total driving and 40th to 86th in driving accuracy since The Players.

His iron play has suffered too, dropping from 10th to 105th in terms of strokes gained approach, and tied 10th to tied 69th for proximity to the hole. On the green, his one-putt percentage has gone down from 42.11 (22nd) to 40.94 (56th). Most damningly, he entered April 181st out of 181 qualifying PGA Tour players in strokes gained around the green.

Given Hovland's struggles, it begs the question: why make such a significant change after a year which saw him crowned as PGA Tour champion, earn around $38m in prize money and be in contention for glory in majors, not to mention have a realistic shot of cracking the hegemony of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy and LIV Golf defector Jon Rahm in the Official World Golf Ranking top three?

"In Viktor's case, you have to imagine 'Okay, I'm world No 4 [ahead of The Players] and I want to be world No 1'," Barter said. "Also, he wants to win major championships which he hasn't done yet and maybe he felt he didn't have the tools to do so, so he was prepared to take the risk and reinvent his golf swing.

tOUR CHSHIP

"It was an unorthodox swing, but, boy, was it effective last year. He's working away to try to make it more orthodox to become an even better player and go on to become the multiple major champion he wants to be.

"It's a risk and whether he achieves it in the long run we'll have to wait to see. Let's hope so, because right now he's in a bad place as far as his golf swing is concerned."

Hovland has not been seen on a golf course in competitive action since The Players, skipping the following three tournaments on the PGA Tour, and spent part of Monday's practice session ahead of his fifth Masters appearance working with California-based swing guru Dana Dahlquist.

He remains stoic about his struggles in 2024 and is determined to keep open-minded about the best way ahead for him as he seeks a solution which will allow him to become the player he wants to be.

Viktor Hovland was in inspired form in his singles match against Collin Morikawa, winning 4&3 as Europe edged closer to regaining the Ryder Cup in Rome.

"I'm still looking for some opinions out there, but I feel like I'm on a good track right now and we'll see where that takes us," Hovland said. "Sometimes, the game of golf, you try to do the same every day but things aren't the same every day when you go to the golf course.

"I took a huge break last year and when I came back everything was different. I had to find my way back to where I think I'm going to play my best golf.

"Even at the end of last year, I was playing great but I got a lot out of my game and it didn't necessarily feel sustainable - but it's not like consciously I went in and said 'hey, we're going to change everything up'.

"I'm always trying to learn, but I felt like I'd got to what the pinnacle of my golf swing was able to do last year. Just when I keep looking back, my swings from 2020 and 2021, I had more control of the golf ball, in my opinion."

The Masters 2024: Five Things To Know

The 88th Masters Tournament marks the first Major Championship on the 2024 DP World Tour schedule. Here are your five things to know…

GettyImages-2147576481

Rahm defends

Jon Rahm returns to Augusta National a year after securing a fairytale Masters Tournament victory, 40 years on from his hero Seve Ballesteros' second win.

The Spaniard's second Major title came on what would have been Ballesteros' 66th birthday, hunting down third-round leader Brooks Koepka before cruising to a four-shot victory to earn his first Green Jacket and a fifth top-ten finish in seven visits to Augusta.

His route to victory was less than straight-forward, starting the week by four-putting the first hole on Thursday. And after a series of weather delays on Friday and Saturday, he had to complete 30 holes on Sunday - starting the day four shots behind Koepka. Two behind after completion of their third rounds, Rahm had wiped out the deficit in the first four holes and took a two-stroke lead into the back nine. Brilliant back-to-back birdies at the 13th and 14th gave Rahm a four-shot buffer and he parred his way home to sign for a closing 69 and finish the tournament on 12 under par.

He now returns for his eighth Masters appearance, and has the chance to become just the fourth player to successfully defend the Green Jacket.

The key change to Augusta National for 2024

While The Masters is renowned for being the epitome of tradition, Augusta National is not shy of making changes to its famed layout as it adapts to the length modern players hit the golf ball.

Last year, a significant change was made to the famous par five 13th hole, with the tee moved back 35 yards and elevated eight yards after acquiring land from the neighbouring Augusta Country Club. The goal was to change the hole back into a true risk and reward hole as was originally intended, following years of a drop in scoring average.

This year, the big change comes in a new tee box at the par five second hole, Pink Dogwood. Unchanged since the new back tee was introduced and the right fairway bunker moved in 1999, the new tee will move back 10 yards and to the left to make the second hole the longest on the course at 585 yards.

DP World Tour debutants

There are four DP World Tour players making their first appearance at the 88th Masters this week.

After becoming the first player in history to compete in a Ryder Cup before ever playing a Major last September, Ludvig Åberg is making his Major Championship debut this week. The Swede, who is World Number Nine and already a winner on both the DP World Tour and PGA Tour, hasn't finished worse than tied 30th in his last seven starts - including a top ten at the recent Players Championship.

Joining Åberg in the field is fellow Ryder Cup Europe teammate Nicolai Højgaard , who secured his first invite to The Masters by breaking into the top 50 of the world with his maiden Rolex Series victory at the DP World Tour Championship at the end of last season. The 23-year-old, who is a three-time winner on the DP World Tour, has enjoyed an impressive start to his first full season on the PGA Tour - which includes a runner-up finish at the AT&T Pebble Beach PRO-AM in February.

Also enjoying an impressive start to their first full season on the PGA Tour is Matthieu Pavon, who made history as the first French winner on the PGA TOUR since 1907 with victory at the Farmers Insurance Open in January to earn his place in this week's field. It came just three months after earning his maiden DP World Tour title in October, and the Frenchman comes to Augusta after finishing tied fifth at the recent Porsche Singapore Open.

Joining them is 21-year-old Ryo Hisatsune , who is making his first Masters appearance and Major Championship debut after receiving a special invite. The Japanese star enjoyed a remarkable rookie season on the DP World Tour in 2023 after securing his card at the Qualifying School, winning his first DP World Tour title at the Cazoo Open de France in September and becoming the first Japanese player to be named the DP World Tour's Sir Henry Cotton Rookie of the Year. He was one of ten players to earn 2024 PGA Tour membership through his performances on the DP World Tour last year. Has two top 20s so far this season on the PGA TOUR, with his best result a tie for 11th at The American Express in January.

Chasing records

The opportunity to make records at Augusta National is something that presents itself every year. From scoring records, winning records and age-related records to the opportunity to become the first player to win the Par 3 Contest and The Masters in the same week, there are a number of historical markers players can achieve. This week, there are additionally two significant records that could be broken by two very big names in the game.

It's been ten years since Rory McIlroy has lifted a Major title, and this week marks his tenth chance to complete the Major Grand-Slam with a maiden win at The Masters. McIlroy has come close a number of times, most recently with a runner-up finish at the 2022 Masters, but is yet to break through to become the sixth player to win all four Majors. According to one repor t he is planning to prepare differently this year - including a later arrival and skipping the par 3 contest - as he targets his first Major title since the 2014 US PGA Championship.

Tiger Woods also makes his return from injury this week with his own chance to add to his successful Masters history. He had to withdraw last year in the third round with an injury to his heel but by then the five-time winner had already maintained an incredible record of made cuts at The Masters. He has not missed a cut since his victory in 1997, a remarkable 23 from 23 appearances in the paid ranks. If he makes the cut on this year's trip down Magnolia Lane, he will break the record he now shares with Gary Player and Fred Couples for most consecutive cuts made at Augusta. While unlikely, but more remarkably, he could also tie Jack Nicklaus for a record six Masters titles, having added his fifth with his remarkable victory in 2019.

What to know about Schengen zone, Europe’s ‘border-free’ travel system

Schengen countries allow international travelers to move freely across borders without additional passport checks.

sevendust europe tour

Europe’s “border-free” Schengen zone has added travel protections for two more countries, making it easier for more people to explore the southeastern region of the continent.

Romania and Bulgaria partially joined the Schengen area on Sunday, which means visitors who arrive by air or sea from other countries in the zone can cross their borders without an ID check. Land borders will remain subject to ID checks because of opposition led by Austria, which has long cited irregular migration as a concern when it comes to welcoming the two Eastern European states into the Schengen agreement. The move comes more than a decade after Romania and Bulgaria joined the European Union.

The European Commission had previously recommended that Bulgaria and Romania be admitted to join the Schengen zone, starting in 2011 and most recently in 2023. A combination of internal problems in the two countries and opposition from other countries citing irregular migration concerns — especially after the so-called “migrant crisis” of 2015 — meant they were caught in “Schengen purgatory” until now, according to Leon Züllig, a researcher and Schengen expert at Germany’s Justus Liebig University Giessen.

Recommended.

MAY 31 – SWX, Bristol (with Heartworms)

JUNE 01 – Royal Albert Hall, London (with Heartworms)  03 – Den Atelier, Luxembourg City (with Heartworms) 04 – De Roma, Antwerp (with Heartworms) 07 – Best Kept Secret, Hilvarenbeek 08 – NorthSide, Viby

The announcement comes after St Vincent shared details of a North American headline tour for this year. Find any remaining tickets for those dates here .

Clark has already shared two singles from the forthcoming ‘All Born Screaming’ in the form of ‘Broken Man’ and ‘Flea’ – both of which feature Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl on drums .

During an interview with NME recently , St Vincent shared some details about the follow-up to 2021’s ‘Daddy’s Home’ . “For me, the record is black, white and all the colours in the fire, because it’s about life and death,” she said.

“Life and death is pretty binary – you’re alive or you’re dead. The record’s about what is to be alive and to embrace that agony and ecstasy… On the record, you have to go through hell to get to some semblance of heaven. The record to me is structured that way.”

As for how the musician will showcase the LP on stage at her live gigs, she told NME : “I’m gonna fuck ‘em up. I’m gonna fuck ‘em up.”

Meanwhile, Heartworms released the single ‘May I Comply’ last November. The song followed the band’s 2023 EP ‘ A Comforting Notion’ , which earned a five-star review from NME .

Reviewing the group’s London show late last year , NME wrote: “This is not just a pastiche of what you’d expect from ‘UK GOTHIC POST PUNK’, this is already a fully-rounded world delivered with courage and intent. 2024 will belong to Heartworms.”
