Suga wants his fans to experience last year’s D-Day shows on the big screen.

On Tuesday, the BTS rapper — who also goes by Agust D — released the trailer for his upcoming concert film Agust D Tour ‘D-Day’ The Movie , set to hit theaters (and IMAX) on April 10 and 13.

“My concert is not kind. When I go on stage, I think to myself that I have to kill it,” Suga says in the trailer before concert footage flashes on screen, highlighting Suga as he interacts with his audience and performs during his 2023 solo tour.

“Concerts and singers are inseparable,” he adds. “I’m someone who thinks this is what completes your career as a singer… I’m someone who loves performing.”

Suga started fulfilling  his mandatory service requirements  in South Korea last September, about a month after the end of his tour. Instead of enlisting in a branch of the country’s military, Suga will instead spend the next 21 months working as a social service agent . (His service time is set to end in June 2025.)

In a message shared with fans on Weverse, Suga said at the time, “I was able to come this far thanks to you. And the time has come. I will faithfully complete my duty and come back. Be careful of the chilly autumn weather. Stay healthy and see you all in 2025!”

SUGA’s Concert Film ‘SUGA | Agust D Tour D-Day: The Movie’ Is Coming to Theaters & Features RM, Jimin & Jung Kook

Permission to celebrate! HYBE and Trafalgar Releasing announced on Tuesday (March 5) that SUGA | Agust D Tour ‘D-Day’ The Movie , SUGA’s concert film about the encore of his 2023 Agust D tour, is coming to theaters around the world. And if seeing the BTS member’s solo show isn’t enough, the movie will also feature appearances from bandmates RM, Jimin and Jung Kook.

SUGA — who reported for mandatory military duty in September — also shared a special video message with fans to announce the project. “It’s been a while and I’m back with a video to share some very special news with our dear ARMY,” he begins. “Do you remember SUGA Agust D Tour ‘D-Day’ … the finale to my solo tour last summer? The D-Day tour was so meaningful because it told the story of my journey as both SUGA and Agust D. The emotions I felt during the finale are still so vivid, as it was the last concert of the tour. And now, that very D-Day the final concert will be released in theaters worldwide!”

“I’m so happy, proud and excited,” he continued of his upcoming concert film. “I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as the concert meant to me.”

The concert film will be released worldwide not only on standard movie screens, but in IMAX as well, with showings on April 10 and April 13. Tickets for the screenings go on sale Tuesday, March 12, at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT/3 p.m. GMT at SUGATheMovie.com . The website will reveal all theaters that will show the film on March 12.

RM, Jimin and Jung Kook’s appearances in the movie will include performances, according to the press release. The movie focuses the encore performance of SUGA’s worldwide Agust D tour, which hit 10 cities for a total of 25 shows; the trek was in support of the BTS’ rapper’s solo debut album D-Day , which debuted and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in May 2023.

This won’t be SUGA’s first film feature. The BTS member was the star of his 2023 solo documentary SUGA: Road to D-Day , which followed the global star as he went on a journey to tell his story through music, aired on Disney+ and Weverse. It arrived on the platforms on April 21, the same day as his album.

BTS’ Suga announces concert film Agust D Tour D Day: The Movie in an emotional video

Singer-rapper and BTS’ band member Suga may be serving the South Korean military at the moment, but he ensures that his fans are treated to his music and work. On Tuesday, his team announced a new concert film from the musician. Titled  Agust D Tour D Day: The Movie, the film will give his fans a peek into what it was like to attend one of Suga’s finale concert on his 2023 Suga Agust D Tour, held in Seoul, featuring footage from the concert. For the unversed BTS aka Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band formed, comprising members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook and is known for its bangers Butter, Dynamite, See You There, Love Letters, Fire etc.

For the concert Suga, who is also known by his stage name Agust D, was joined by bandmates RM, Jimin and Jung Kook and therefore, the film will also include their performances. This, comprising 28 shows, was a promotional musical tour for the rapper’s solo debut album, D-Day, which made its debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in May 2023. Sugar had earlier released his solo documentary Suga: Road to D-Day in 2023, which aired on Disney+ and Weverse in April, 2023.

Suga’s film announcement follows J-Hope’s docu-series and an album and V’s new digital single which are releasing in March. The 30-year-old dropped a surprise video on YouTube to announce his concert film.  “It’s been a while and I’m back with a video to share some very special news with our dear ARMY,” SUGA said, adding, “Do you remember SUGA Agust D Tour ‘D-Day’ … the finale to my solo tour last summer? The D-Day tour was so meaningful because it told the story of my journey as both SUGA and Agust D,” Suga said in the video.

He further added that the emotions he felt during the finale are “still so vivid.” “Can you believe you will relive that emotional day on a huge screen? Needless to say, I’m so happy, proud and excited. I hope you’ll enjoy it as much as the concert meant to me,” he added.  

Agust D Tour D Day: The Movie is all set to release in theatres world-wide for a short run on April 10 and April 13, 2024. Tickets for the screenings will be available at SugaTheMovie.com from Tuesday, March 12 at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT/3 p.m. GMT. The website will list all of the theatres that will screen the film on March 12.

Most of its 10 Rajya Sabha members, however, have been conspicuous by their absence at these protests – with Sanjay Singh, Sandeep Pathak and N D Gupta the exceptions.

Put-in tours will help you realise this experience! Your guide will meet you at your hotel and bring you with the metro (or a military van as option) to a professional shooting range , located 3 stores underground in an old Soviet beer factory. In this historic and secured environment, you will fire off a selection of iconic Russian weapons  under supervision of a professional instructor .

At the end of the rampage, you’ll get to keep your target with you as a proof of your great success! 🙂

1) The Yarygin Pistol – Since 2003, the standard sidearm for Russian military and law enforcement. Replacing the Makarov. Caliber 9mm

2) The Kalashnikov AK-47 – Legendary Russian military weapon, in service 1949-1974. Its powerful 7.62×39 rounds will shake your foundations.

3)  The Dragunov sniper rifle  – Still in service today for more than 50 years, this semi-automatic rifle can hit a target 1,3km away! With its 7.62×54 rounds, every trigger pull will deliver you a nice adrenaline shot!

Military van pick-up

Add to the experience: ask us to pick you up at your hotel with one of our Soviet military vans !

It will be an authentic UAZ 452, a model first built in the 50’s to transport men and military equipment down the snowy or muddy Siberian roads. Thanks to its simplicity and robustness, it is still in service today as ambulances! Ours are fully decorated to reproduce the Soviet atmosphere , equipped with sound systems and even featuring a souvenirs kiosk onboard !

The sprawling, mind-boggling metropolis of Russian Moscow has long been one of the theatrical stages on which the great dramas of Europe and Asia have been played out in grand style.
