Awesome performance!

Elder is an amazing band. They play 10+ minute progressive rock songs with the skill of lifelong musicians - never missing a beat. They expertly bring their audience along the most crooked paths and unfamiliar turns their songs take.

They also have a very distinct sound. It's crunchy, ruthless and massive. A lot of bands sound different live than they do on their records. Elder, on the other hand, sounds like Elder.

Playing songs from their last three albums, Elder game me a night I'll remember fondly for years to come.

I went to see them live on 18th of May, 2019 in Oslo. They played in a rather small club, that barely fits 300 people. The first thing I noticed was that Matt Couto was selling merchandise to fans and Nick DiSalvo just running around, grabbing some drinks. Jack Donovan was the most vivid on the scene, but everyone contributed with their awesomeness.

They kicked a*s! If you're into Elder and still haven't seen them live - you should definitely do it!

First off, Club Red was such a cool venue. Super intimate and up close, I got to really see every musician up close. All four bands sounded phenomenal, Elder was out of this world, and the best part was I got to talk to each band and they were all such cool, down to earth people. Can’t wait see Elder again and come back to Club Red!

That was an incredible experience!

Perfect sound, maybe just a tiny bit too loud, but crystal clear.

Awesome performance by both Elder and Ancestors and an amazing immersive atmosphere. Elder didn't play some of their biggest hits to my disappointment but was a great show nonetheless.

Elder was way fucking cooler than our shitty little unwelcoming city showed. Hopefully one bad experience won't keep Elder from coming back to Charlotte, NC and ripping our faces off us. Easily one of my favorite shows I've ever been to.

Ever since I first heard Dead Roots Stirring I wanted to see Elder live. It was definitely worth it. If you like the studio versions of their songs, the live version will blow you away. King Buffalo was the perfect opener.

Every time I see them, they get better and better. These guys are just pushing the limits of awesome. They played a couple of old goodies and a couple of new ones. All around a good mix ending with an encore of Gemini.

Elder were amazing. Chill mood with insane music.the new album is amazing and the light show behind Nick and the boys brought their a game a game and i thank them for the show.

US heavy prog quartet Elder return to the UK for six live shows on November

US heavy proggers Elder have announced a run. of UK live dates for November, taking in Bristol, Brighton, London, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester. It will be the US quartet's first return to these shores since they played at EartH in London with Pallbearer in November 2022.

Elder released their most recent album, the acclaimed Innate Passage  through Stickman Records in November.

"We are thrilled to be welcoming back forever-favourites Elder for six UK shows this November, in support of their incredible new album Innate Passage ," exclaim promoters Desertscene London. "The genre-bending progressive quintet will be joined by Norway's Slomosa on the UK dates."

US Heavy Prog band Elder have announced a run. of UK live dates for November, 2023 taking in Bristol, Brighton, London, Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester. It will be the US quartet’s first return to these shores since they played at EartH in London with Pallbearer in November 2022.

Elder announces Fall 2023 European & UK Tour

“Innate Passage”, the band’s sixth full-length, was released on November 25th, 2022, via Stickman Records in Europe here and in North America via Armageddon Shop here !

It finds the mostly-Berlin-based band in the post-pandemic era as veterans at the forefront of a league of progressive and heavy groups working in large part under their influence; a stately presence as reliably forward-thinking as they are unpredictable in sound. They are among the most important acts of their mostly-still-emerging generation. Genuine leaders in style and expressive intention. Innate Passage is further proof why.

While The Guardian said “…its masterful, slow-building might recalling forebears and fellow-travellers Mastodon and Cave In. Throughout ‘Innate Passage’, Elder prove themselves those bands’ equals”, Chicago Reader praised “‘Innate Passage’ as a milestone from musicians who’ve proved themselves unafraid of reinvention”. Powerplay Magazine in the UK is convinced “This could well be the band’s masterpiece”, Metal Injection agrees that “These guys know exactly how and when to take their songs to the next level, and they capitalize every time”, while JJ of The Obelisk says “To call it one of 2022’s best albums is underselling it”.

Lauded by international music critics and fans alike, “Innate Passage” is a culmination of everything Elder has done before, and after more than 15 years, they’re still pushing forward to places where neither they nor anyone they’ve influenced have yet gone. In support of “Innate Passage”, the band is not only gearing up for a run with live dates in Mexico, in North America and Canada with Ruby The Hatchet and Howling Giant, but they will also hit the road for an extensive European tour in 2023!

Pallbearer and Elder have announced a UK / European co-headline tour

Pallbearer, Elder and Irist have announced a 33-date UK and European tour for next autumn…

Pallbearer and Elder have confirmed that they'll be hitting the road together for a huge 33-date co-headline run next year.

The bands will be joined by Irist (making their European live debut) on the run, which kicks off in Berlin in September 2022, and finishes up in Manchester in November.

"Considering the struggles that the world has experienced in the last few years, we are extra thrilled to announce our return to European shores," enthuses Pallbearer's Brett Campbell. "We look forward to playing for you once again, and hope to join with you as we fight on through the darkness that defines our current age."

Irist's Pablo Davila continues: "We’re doing our absolute best to make our third attempt at this run with Pallbearer and Elder the one that counts. We want nothing more than to finally experience Order Of The Mind with you live. Stay safe everyone and see you in 2022!”

Psychedelic Stoner/Doom metal unit, Elder , announced a Fall UK & European run with Slomosa and Steak that kicks off in Erfurt, Germany on October 27 and ends back in Berlin, Germany on November 18.

Starting March 15, tickets will be available  here .

Elder announce European tour

ELDER  have announced a headlining European tour!

Set for October and November this year, the tour will see the prog-meets-psychedelic rock band touring across mainland Europe and the UK in support of their latest studio album,  Innate Passage , which was released in November last year.

Support for the tour comes from  SLOMOSA  and  STEAK . Tickets for the tour are available now and can be purchased here .

Speaking about the tour, guitarist/vocalist Nick DiSalvo says, “after an incredibly busy year back to touring in 2022, we don’t plan on taking much time off to catch our breath in 2023. We’re looking forward to presenting our latest album Innate Passage live to audiences in as much of the world as we can reach! It’s especially exciting to be joined by another awesome crew of support bands this year – in North America RUBY THE HATCHET  and HOWLING GIANT , in Europe SLOMOSA and STEAK – not to mention the crazy festival bills we’re taking part in this summer. We’re busy preparing now for the year, so get a ticket if you want to see what we’ve been cooking up!”
