Black with ruby highlights. Frank nose of roasting, burnt wood, grilled pepper, mocha, coffee and dark chocolate. Fleshy attack, full-bodied, well-balanced, full-bodied, roasted character, a little finesse, good persistence, roasted finish.

Property acquired by the Castel family in 1973 , Château Tour Prignac is a former 17th-century stronghold with its two towers and dovecote . The name of the château refers to the towers that adorn the property located in the commune of Prignac-en-Médoc .

The largest contiguous vineyard in the Médoc , the northernmost property of the Châteaux & Domaines Castel . Iconic grape variety of Northern Médoc (the Cabernet Sauvignon ) maintained against the trend towards Merlot.

A Cru Bourgeois , distributed worldwide with a recognized quality-price ratio .

CHÂTEAU TOUR PRIGNAC

is a haven of calm, with a magnificent stone building set against a beautiful backdrop, blending tradition and modernity.

Today, the property is one of the Médoc's largest, its vineyard having been wholly revisited in pursuit of quality. The entirely replanted plots of Cabernet-Sauvignon take advantage of maximum exposure to the sun, ensuring optimal ripeness.

Tour Prignac

Château Tour Prignac is a deep ruby red in colour. The nose is pleasantly spicy, with aromas of ripe red fruits. An initially creamy texture gives way to a solid structure provided by silky tannins. This is an elegant wine, with a delightful finish.

Grande Réserve

This wine's deep red colour speaks volumes. A dense, powerful nose reveals aromas of rich oak and cherry liqueur. The full-bodied mouthfeel is provided by smooth tannins, bringing distinguished notes of Havana cigars and chocolate. The finish is remarkably long.

Les Hauts de Tour Prignac

A blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, Les Hauts de Tour Prignac presents a beautiful ruby red hue. On the nose, there is an unmistakeable touch of the Médoc, with notes of small wild berries and Espelette pepper. The wine is fresh and well balanced on the palate, with fruity flavours subtly coming through in a sleek and elegant body.

Rich dark appearance. Mild nose, plum and a hint of raisin. Smooth tannins, purple fruit finish of a medium length. Showing fine sediment at this point. Drinking well, focused and strong. Brooding not lively or complex.

Solid. Full-bodied. Strong tannins. Medium-low acidity. Fairly short finish. Tobacco, dark-fruit nose (cassis/blackberry). A bit sappy and spicy on the palate. Really a nice wine.

Rich, robust expression of claret with quite ripe red/purple fruits and good depth of flavour. Quite sweet on the palate without a lot of tannin profile. Drinking well now but will hold for a few years at least.
