This is probably the only pre-3D classic Tiger Woods game that works without crashes on my PC (with the help of dgvoodoo2). A shame really because the 2000/2001 has exclusive official courses that only work on those games and can't be backported to 99.

If you are playing this game on PC like me then you probably want to read this. So far I have had no signs of malware. The setup of the game was kind of annoying and I just went around clicking .exe files in the game files until something worked. The game does crash quite often and I was unable to get farther than the second hole of pebble but that is probably because I was experimenting with the game a lot. The audio is all odd sounding and glitchy sounding. I like it and the game plays well but you would have to do your own playing to figure out if you like it.

• Trivia The first 100,000 pressings of Tiger Woods 99 for the PlayStation contained an Easter egg. If the disc is loaded into a computer, directories for files of the game would appear along with a QuickTime file titled ZZDUMMY.DAT. When played, it is a VHS recording of Jesus vs. Santa by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, commonly recognized as a precursor to South Park. The episode was apparently sneaked onto the disc by an employee at Electronic Arts, and according to the metadata it was converted four days before being added to the disc. EA recalled these copies of the game a few months after it was released, calling the episode "objectionable to consumers", and subsequent versions did not contain the file.

AUGUSTA, Ga. — After two rounds to remember Tiger Woods had a round to forget on Saturday at the 2024 Masters .

The five-time winner of the Green Jacket signed for a whopping 10-over 82, his worst-ever score at Augusta National Golf Club, one of his favorite courses in the world. Woods shot his highest-ever first-nine score, a 6-over 42, and proceeded to struggle to get back to the clubhouse on the second nine.

That got us thinking, how many other times has the 82-time PGA Tour winner shot in the 80s? Here’s a list of all the times Tiger Woods has shot 80 (or worse) in a professional event.

85: 2015 Memorial Tournament, third round

One birdie, four water balls and a closing quadruple bogey led to his worst score ever in a pro event. Playing in the same group, Zac Blair shot 70 that day. Dustin Johnson and Keegan Bradley each shot 65 in those same conditions.

82: 2024 Masters, third round

The five-time Green Jacket winner  carded his worst-ever performance  on the first nine at Augusta National Golf Club in his 99 rounds at the Masters, a six-over 42 that featured a closing stretch of bogey-double-double-bogey. His second nine wasn’t much better as Woods labored his way down the stretch to the tune of a third-round, 10-over 82, his highest score ever at the Masters. His previous worst score were the pair of weekend 78s he shot to close out the 2022 Masters, where he finished 47th out of 52 players.

82: 2015 Waste Management Phoenix Open, second round

This round featured a double bogey followed by a triple bogey, which will go down as statistically the worst two-hole stretch of his career. He finished with a bogey at the par-4 ninth to seal that fate.

81: 2002 British Open, third round

An 81 is wild, but what’s even crazier is the fact he shaved 16 shots in the final round on Sunday and shot 65 on Sunday to secure a T-28 finish. He then won his next start at the Buick Open.

80: 2015 U.S. Open, first round

Woods made just one birdie in his opening round at Chambers Bay, hit half of the greens in regulation and was 15 shots worse than Dustin Johnson and Henrik Stenson, who each shot 65. Tough scene.

Woods was an 18-year-old amateur, so this one could be considered a throwaway. But the world got a glimpse of the future 15-time major winner on a big stage and he had an early “Welcome to the PGA Tour” moment.

Tiger Woods provides major update on PGA Tour x LIV Golf merger talks - "Certainly we're headed in the right direction"

T iger Woods was one of the PGA Tour Player Directors who met with Yasir Al-Rumayyan in the Bahamas a few weeks ago. At the time, several reports indicated that Woods and Al-Rumayyan even played a round of golf the day after the meeting.

The closeness of the Masters Tournament and Tiger Woods' participation in it put press interest in that event on hold. Now that Woods has finished his four rounds at the Augusta National Golf Club, the Bahamas meeting is back on world golf's public agenda.

After finishing his fourth round of the Masters, Tiger Woods met with the press as usual. A journalist asked him if he thought they were closer to a deal with Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) after meeting with Al-Rumayyan, and this was Woods' answer:

"I don't know if we're closer, but certainly we're headed in the right direction. That was a very positive meeting and I think both sides came away from the meeting feeling positive."

In the same interview, Tiger Woods was asked about his preparation plan for upcoming tournaments. He said:

"Just keep lifting, keep the molds going, keep the body moving, keep getting stronger, keep progressing and hopefully the practice sessions will keep getting longer."

An overview of Tiger Woods' performance at the 2024 Masters

Woods called his first two rounds at the Masters 2024 "a good fight". Woods finished Thursday with a score of 1-over, while on Friday he posted a score of even par. At 1 over after 36 holes, Woods was seven strokes behind the leader.

However, the third round was the worst of his career at the Masters. Woods carded two birdies, eight bogeys and two consecutive double bogeys on the 7th and 8th. In fact, it was the first time Woods double-bogeyed the 8th in 99 rounds at Augusta National.

Sunday was a little better for Woods, with one birdie, three bogeys and a triple bogey. With this performance, he left his score at 16 under after 72 holes.

However, Woods also set a record at the Masters 2024, becoming the player with the most consecutive cuts made at Augusta National , with 24.

After finishing last at Masters, Tiger Woods looks ahead to three remaining majors

AUGUSTA, Ga. — It was 1:22 p.m. Sunday afternoon and there was Tiger Woods, in his usual red, launching his final tee shot of the 2024 Masters onto the lush 18th fairway at Augusta National.

He was more than five hours too early. The final-round leaders weren’t even going to tee off for another hour. 

After shooting an 82, his worst round in his life in a major tournament Saturday, Woods came back Sunday with a 5-over 77 to finish dead last at 16-over par, all alone in 60th place.

Woods, 48, who barely plays competitively anymore after his 2021 car crash crushed his right leg, said the biggest challenge for him throughout the weekend was the gusting wind that wrecked havoc on shots throughout the tournament.

"I think that just the wind and what it was doing out here to the golf shots and the balls and putting, how difficult the course was playing," he said. "It doesn't take much to get out of position here. Unfortunately, I got out of position a lot yesterday and a couple times today."

But Woods said all was not lost.

"It was a good week," he said. "It was a good week all around. I think that coming in here, not having played a full tournament in a very long time, it was a good fight on Thursday and Friday. 

"Unfortunately yesterday it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it to. Today the round that − the way that Tom (Kim, who shot 6-under 66) is playing − I thought I had in my system. Unfortunately, I didn't produce it."

Woods said he is planning to play the three remaining men’s majors this season, starting with the PGA Championship at Valhalla in May, then the U.S. Open at Pinehurst in June. 

"This is a golf course I knew going into it," he said of Augusta National, "so I'm going to do my homework going forward at Pinehurst, Valhalla and Troon (the British Open), but that's kind of the game plan. 

"It's always nice coming back here because I know the golf course, I know how to play it. I can kind of simulate shots. Granted, it's never quite the same as getting out here and doing it. Same thing, I heard there's some changes at the next couple sites. So I’ve got to get up there early and check them out."

After his miserable weekend, there was no use looking back, so Tiger Woods did the only thing he knew to do, and that was to look ahead.

Tiger Woods set to play in PGA Championship at Valhalla after finishing 60th at Masters

Tiger Woods didn't have his best week at the Masters , finishing 60th at 16 over par, but the golf legend is planning to play in the PGA Championship at Valhalla next month and golf's other majors.

Woods, 48, said he is very familiar with Augusta National, but he will need to brush up on the other courses.

"This is a golf course I knew going into it," Woods said of Augusta National, "so I'm going to do my homework going forward at Pinehurst (U.S. Open), Valhalla and Troon (the British Open), but that's kind of the game plan."

The last two times the PGA Championship was played at Valhalla was 2014 and 2000. Woods did not make the cut in 2014, but he won the championship in 2000.

The PGA Championship is scheduled May 16-19.
