SEGWAY TOURS

Segways put a whole new spin on the city tour.

See the wonders of the Twin Cities on a stick. No, we’re not talking about Minnesota State State Fair grub. We’re talking about you gracing a segway and zooming around town for an insider’s look at the heart and soul of Minneapolis and St. Paul.

For those of you that don’t know, a segway is a futuristic-looking mode of transportation. The two-wheeled contraption operates according to the way a rider shifts his or her weight. Lean forward, the segway goes faster, and vice versa. Mobile Entertainment (more commonly referred to as Minnesota Segway Tours or Human On a Stick) offers segway tours from March through November. On their Magical History Tour, you’ll learn all about the Minneapolis riverfront area dating all the way back to 10,000 BC. Or check out their history tour of St. Paul’s vibrant Lowertown neighborhood.

Ask the Community

Ask a question

What if we have prior Segway experience, do we still have a 20-30 training? The group size would be 6?

Hi Vishal, good question! The answer is yes, even riders who have segway experience go through the training with the rest of the group. It's a good refresher and keeps everyone on the same page so we, as guides, can be able to get a good assessment… more

How long are the tours?

All of our tour options are three hours long. This includes 20-30 minutes of training!

Highly recommend this. Jim was a great tour guide and these guys do it right. I've been on many tours in other cities, but this one is tops.

Ray and Steve were great guides. Made the nervous people in our group feel at ease. After the warm up to make sure you know how to operate the Segway you go on a historical tour that was very informative. We went up and down the river and covered a lot ground. Fun group activity! Thanks again!

I took the Friday afternoon Segway tour starting in St. Anthony Main. Wow! Such fun and I learned so much. This tour company is focused on "safety first" and even made the older ones in our group feel very comfortable. Great stories, narration and fun. I felt so confident in riding a Segway and also learned a lot about the area even though I live downtown! Thanks to the two guides Paul and Cara.

We had the most insane time with Chris!! He was literally so dope, customized the trip to us, took us all over the city, and gave us amazing recommendations for food and sightseeing. He also threw in some true crime fun facts since we said we were interested in that. Definitely ask for Chris when you go! This tour is a must do if you are visiting Minneapolis!!

One of the stops on the tour!

High praise and applause to our guides, Ben and Andrew. It was a time Segway-Ing for a mother and daughter. We loved every minute. This experience surpassed all my expectations. The owner and team here CARE. It shows. Clean storefront, brilliant customer experience from training video, to complimentary photos and a Segway license with coupons a finale! I've already shared my experience with several others. Go - you'll also learn a little history along the way. And have some fun!

You'll never look at this sign the same again.

Super fun and informative tour, and the guides are friendly and knowledgeable. My teenagers even truly enjoyed it!

So fun! Easy to get the hang of. We had Paul and sally and they were 5 stars. Learned so much about the city and even saw some parts I hadn't been to.

This is the second segway tour that my mom and I have been on with this company. We loved it so much that we brought my niece this year! We had such a great time riding the segway and learning about some St. Paul history! Ruth and Thomas were AWESOME guides! We all highly recommend!!!

Seriously? So fun!! Granted we were the only three so it was nice to have special, undivided attention but RAY was amazing! We had a great time and learned a lot even though a couple of us are life long Minneapolis residents. We learned so much and had a great time! Ray, congrats on graduation and hope you have a wonderful future in teaching!!

This was such a fun time! I learned so much and the guides made sure that everyone was properly instructed on how to ride a Segway. Our tour was about 3 hours long. About halfway through we took a break and were supplied with free refreshments and cookies. There were multiple times throughout the tour where we could stop and take pictures while the lead guide told us about some of the history of our location. Our lead guide was Michael, and our guide helpers were Anna and Emily. Definitely great guides! At the end we were given multiple discounts to various things, including a free pass to the Mill City Museum. This was a great addition to my vacation and it was such a beautiful day! Highly recommended to anyone who's thinking about it.
