Premium India
Sensational in every aspect. Firstly our tour leader Chandra was exceptional in his knowledge, approachability and care for all 12 of us. The tour was enlightening culturally, stimulating from the history perspective and enjoyable as the group melded really well. Thanks to all involved in putting g Premiun India together.
India's Luxury Golden Triangle with Leopard Safari & Sunrise Taj Mahal
We had a wonderful time. Our hotels were excellent. Guides did amazing job. Specially the one in Agra and Jaipur. Got lucky to see a leopard on the safari.
Luxury India Tour (Delhi, Agra and Jaipur- 7 days Golden Triangle)-5 star Hotel
Easiest booking ever made. Great hotels, great driver, car could have been slightly larger to make it more comfortable but the whole trip was excellent. I would definitely recommend a private tour as we could tailor just about our whole day to suit us. Would definitely book again.

Exciting Wildlife Safari Tour in India
We had been to Africa before this for a safari trip and thought it couldn't get better than that, but wow were we surprised. The experience between the two continents is so vast while Africa has abundant wildlife India has so much more of an exciting wildlife experience. This is the REAL THING. Highly recommended. especially this company as they provided us with a seamless expedience from pickup to our drop with excellent guides and drivers in the middle. We shall be back to cover the other part of India .
Premium India in Depth
Intrepid Premium India in Depth (November 13 - 25) Mumbai - Delhi Excellent tour leader along with very good local informative guides. 3 changes in accommodation; Mumbai - Gordon House Hotel is excellent, well priced and only 1 street back from Gateway to India but the company changed to Fariyas Hotel, Mumbai which was been renovated as well as painted so very noisy, couldn't use the pool and scaffolding all around. Definitely not ideal. Our second night in Delhi was also cancelled at Jaypee Siddharth Hotel though privately booked and paid for months before the tour so had to find alternative accommodation while on the tour and they told the travel agents they were "closed for renovations" however the tour was booked and stayed there and no renovations were occuring. Hadoti Palace Hotel in Bundi looked nice and rooms were big but not clean especially the toilet and shower. Otherwise all hotels were very nice and rated accurately; cleaning the showers/washrooms would have helped with the mouldy smell but that is somewhat consistent in most countries. November is the start of wedding season in India which are very loud and noisy and have no time restrictions so be prepared for that if going at this time of year. Tour involves quite a number of days travelling in a bus/coach for 4 - 6 hours with a stop every 2 - 3 hours. Rest stops are OK at best with only snack food to purchase. Adjusting the departure time would have helped with timeframes as quite a few days we were getting lunch around 2 - 3 pm when hotel kitchens were closed. Definitely not enough free time for shopping on your own with organized evenings most nights or in a venue on the outside of towns. Toured the markets but they were only a walk through with the group and no time to stop and shop. Restaurants and food was amazing and no one was unwell on the trip. 2 days in Ranthambhore Park was too long and could have done in 1.5 days with more time in Agra. Overall a very good trip for myself and my father (aged 79).

Golden traingle 5 nights 6 days
I had a fantastic day in Agra thanks to Anaisha Journey; from the outset the driver was very prompt and attentive in picking me up from Hotels. The tour guide was really informative when taking me through both the Taj Mahal and Agra fort, and was very helpful guiding me through each part of the attractions. Mr Lucky was also really nice and big thanks to him for organising everything. Anaisha Journey arranged a schedule and accommodation for Agra, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Delhi.
Golden traingle 6 nights 7 days
awesome with best services from travel company I was incredibly pleased with the 6 days tour of Delhi, Agra and Jaipur! The tour guides were excellent, was very welcoming and took very good care of me during my trip. As a solo female traveler, safety is always a concern, but I felt completely comfortable and safe my entire trip. Would 100% recommend this tour! Very good tour. Accommodation excellent. Good value for money. Guides very knowledgeable and flexible with timings.

Heritage luxury hotel Rajasthan tour
Heritage hotel tour met our expectations regarding hotels, a car with a friendly driver and local guides. Every place we visited was one of its kind and the itinerary was adjusted to our pace of sightseeing, we also saw additional places off the beaten track shown by the driver on our special request.A private tour is a wonderful opportunity to travel without rush and tension. It was a pleasure to be in India and see all those magnificent monuments.
Delhi, Palaces, Ganges - 10 days
This was my first tour. It was totally wonderful because of Satish. I have knee and hip issues - Satish helped me up and down all the steps at the temples, monuments and ghats - he made sure I was able to enjoy every part of the tour. He also ordered my food in restaurants so I would get the "spicy" version - not the tourist version. He was very knowledgeable about everything we saw. He shared a lot of information with us and I was able to get a deeper insight into Indian life and religion. I loved everything about the tour.
India Taj and Tigers Tour with The Oberoi
Adventures Ranthambore Wildlife Safari Tour with Golden Triangle 7Days
Something really neat to do every day with some of the things out of this world...Like elephant ride up elephant ramps to 400 year old Amber Fort in Jaipur, seeing tigers on two different safaris at Ranthambore and daybreak at Taj Mahal that looked like a ghost or hologram floating on the horizon. Car and driver for 7 days, English speaking guides where needed. Good breakfasts and decent accommodations. .I especially liked the one at Ranthambhore. The guide that gave the tour of old Delhi felt like a friend and he made this part surprisingly enjoyable Yay Khushal! I met Sanjeev Paul, The owner of Fragrance of Taj and liked him.

India is an immense nation of vivid contrasts and unrivalled culture
The seventh biggest country in the world and the second most populous, India can sometimes feel more like a continent than a country. From the snow-capped Himalayas in the far north to the lush waters of the south, this is a place where landscapes and cultures change in the blink of an eye. India is at once chaotic and noisy, peaceful and calm and it is this diversity that makes it such a fascinating and compelling destination.
India is one of the world’s oldest civilisations, its culture shaped by thousands of years of history. It gave birth to some of the world’s most prominent religions and is a country where life is lived out in hundreds of local dialects. Its soil was home to several ruling dynasties, each of whom left their mark. Every corner of the country reveals a different reflection on the past, from the Taj Mahal to quaint colonial churches and grand palaces built during the reign of the British Raj.
With one of the world’s fastest growing economies, you’re now just as likely to come across skyscrapers and glitzy shopping malls as you are hilltop villages and tea plantations. Cities are huge and sprawling and while they may feel hectic at times, Delhi and Mumbai are wonderful places to see how the old and new intertwine.
The northern state of Rajasthan is home to some of India’s most well-known and frequently visited cities. Meaning ‘Land of Kings’, the landscape is littered with magnificent forts and palaces. From the state capital of Jaipur and the Blue City of Jodhpur to the serene lakes of Udaipur and the dusty dunes of the Thar desert, Rajasthan is one of the most culturally rich pockets of India. The north is also home to the holy cities of Varanasi , Rishikesh and Amritsar , and few who come here fail to be touched by their spirituality. Further north still also offers some of the world’s best hiking, with the mighty peaks of the Himalayas in Kumaon and Ladakh .
Worlds away from the busy northern states, the south is somewhere to catch your breath. Kerala , affectionately known as God’s Own Country, is a lush and verdant state, one of emerald green waterways and coconut groves, and home to the wonderfully colonial town of Fort Cochin . While away your days on a houseboat, gliding along the network of canals and rivers, then discover laid-back beaches while listening to the rustle of palm trees and the sound of the ocean as it laps against the shore.
And then there’s the wildlife. India is a real-life Jungle Book, home to tigers, leopards and elephants. Ranthambore , Bandhavgarh and Kanha are home to some of the country’s highest tiger populations while the luxurious and remote JAWAI camp is the best place to catch a glimpse of the beautiful and elusive leopard.
There are few places on earth like India. A whirlwind of colours, sounds and smells, its energy is undeniably contagious and the best way to appreciate this rich and unique country is to throw yourself head first into its way of life.
The great Mughal masterpiece, the Taj Mahal
Some of the worlds highest peaks are found in the snow-capped Himalayas
The vibrancy and excitement of bigger cities, like Delhi and Mumbai

Where to go
Agra and the Taj Mahal
The ultimate symbol of eternal love, the Taj Mahal is one of India’s most memorable and emotive sights.
The largest city in Punjab and the centre of the Sikh faith, Amritsar is a fascinating and tangibly spiritual destination.
Bandhavgarh
In the east of the vast Madhya Pradesh state, Bandhavgarh is one of India’s most popular national parks and hosts what is thought to be the highest density of Bengal tiger in the country.
Chandigarh is the capital of both of Haryana and Punjab states, located on their borders yet technically within neither, in the green foothills of the Sivalik mountain range.
India’s capital captures the past, lives in the present and looks to the future in a way that few other cities do. Perhaps daunting at first sight, a little exploring soon reveals a rich, diverse and fascinating culture.
Fort Cochin
Nestled on the northwest tip of Cochin’s peninsula, Fort Cochin is a quaint coastal region with strong links to its colonial history.
The capital of Rajasthan and its largest city, Jaipur is at once the state’s commercial hub and one of its most fascinating cultural destinations. The pace of life here is fast, but take your time and in this somewhat frantic city you’ll find some of India’s most majestic palaces and atmospheric relics.
Rajasthan’s second largest city, historic Jodhpur may just be its most photogenic. Labyrinthine streets, bustling spice bazaars and flitting multihued saris make for an overwhelmingly vibrant sight at every turn.
Kanha Tiger Reserve
Kanha Tiger Reserve is the largest national park in Madhya Pradesh. Right in the heart of central India, this sprawling protected is regarded as one of the best parks in the country for its safari.
Keralan Backwaters
With the Western Ghats towering to the east and the Arabian Sea flowing out from the west, Kerala is one of India‘s most verdant and beautiful states. Crisscrossing this green lung are the backwaters that snake their way through towns and villages.
Equidistant between Agra and Varanasi in the state of Madhya Pradesh, is the small town of Khajuraho. Its remote location means it could easily slip under the radar of travellers keen to get to India’s more well-known cities, were it not for its remarkable collection of temples, famous for their erotic carvings.
The Kumaon Region
The little known region of Kumaon is one of two divisions in the northern hill state of Uttarakhand. Bordered by Tibet to the north and Nepal to the east, this is a land of magnificent snow-capped peaks, verdant forest and alpine meadows.
Nestled in the northern state of Jammu and Kashmir is one of India’s most remote and sparsley populated areas. Ladakh, often referred to as Little Tibet, is a land of snowcapped mountains, vast barren plateaus and deep turquoise lakes.
Marari Beach
Marari – short for Mararikulum – is a serene palm-fringed beach village in the Alleppey district of Kerela, easily reached from Cochin and close to Vembanad Lake and the Keralan backwaters.
The capital of Maharashtra and India’s economic powerhouse, Mumbai is a huge metropolis home to over 22 million people. A melting pot of cultures, the affectionately named City of Dreams envelops all who come in a cloud of colour and sound, its energy undeniably contagious.
Nestled in the mighty Western Ghats and surrounded by sprawling tea plantations is the hill station of Munnar. A favoured summer retreat of the British who were lured by the cool mountain air, the surrounding mountains and valleys are one of India’s most picture-perfect destinations.
Nestled in the far north east of India, bound by Assam to the west and Myanmar to the east, Nagaland is one of the country’s smallest, most remote and undiscovered states. It forms part of what is known as the Seven Sisters, the seven states of north east India, and is both culturally rich and exceptionally beautiful.
Panna National Park
In the Vindhyan mountain range in the central state of Madhya Pradesh, lies Panna National Park. The River Ken winds its way through a vast expanse of plateaus, gorges and thick forest giving life to a variety of animal and plant life.
Ranthambore National Park is perhaps the most famous place to spot wild tigers in India – and for good reason.
In the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand, Rishikesh straddles the Ganges, linked by suspension bridges and flanked by the green foothills of the Himalayas.
Away from Rajasthan’s thronging historic cities, this vast state – India’s largest – is peppered with traditional villages, looked over by fortresses in the rugged mountains, and awash with the sands of the baking Thar desert.
The pedestrianised centre is wonderful to explore on foot, despite the topography, and there are a charming collection of bustling bazaars to be found off the winding main street, the Mall, which follows the spine of the ridge.
Certainly one of the most scenic cities in Rajasthan, and perhaps in all India, this unmatched setting along with Udaipur’s rich history and culture make it a must-see.
An ancient settlement on the banks of the Ganges in Uttar Pradesh, Varanasi is India’s spiritual capital and important among numerous faiths.

What would your ideal luxury trip to India be like? You could have one with all the most expensive hotels, Michelin-starred food, and private jets to take you from city to city. But you could also have luxury choices in India without burning a hole in your wallet.
A budget-friendly luxury trip would allow you to travel stress-free with top-notch smiling guides and drivers, stay at deluxe boutique hotels, and enjoy fine dining. It would also help you to immerse yourself into real India with private exclusive activities, ranging from high tea with a late veteran’s family at their bungalow to an exclusive vintage car ride.

The Top 5 Ways to Have Luxury Experiences in India
As one of the oldest civilizations in the world, India is renowned for its vast historical landscapes and rich cultural heritage. You could have diverse luxurious experiences seamlessly integrated into your India journey of discovery.
From indulging in lavish dining to pampering yourself in glamping experiences, here are the top five ways to infuse luxury into your touring experiences in India.
1. Explore the City Highlights in an Exclusive Way
To unlock the real India, go beyond the regular sightseeing. If a rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk in Delhi is not impressive enough, how about traversing the pink city ( Jaipur ) on a pink e-rickshaw with a female driver in pink?
In Agra , dress up in a sari or kurta pajama, unveil the love story behind the splendid Taj Mahal with our local experts, and capture awesome photos at the best spots.
In holy Varanasi , take a heritage walk along the ghats and through the temples to experience millennia-old spiritual life on the banks of the Ganges.
A private sunset boat ride at Lake Pichola would create serene and romantic moments in Udaipur .
Discover real reviews of Highlights Travel Family 's best-rated service across trusted platforms.
2. Savor India Beyond a Candlelit Dinner in a Local Restaurant
Food is one of the best ways to immerse yourself in exotic India. You could take a private guided foodie walk with a local chef in Old Delhi, have a private cooking class in a local family’s home in Jaipur, and enjoy a private sunset tea with a view of the Taj Mahal or at a majestic fort.
For milestones, enjoy a private dinner at Jagmandir Island Palace in Udaipur or a desert dinner with a campfire among the sand dunes in Jaisalmer.
3. Have a Luxurious Stay in an Indian Way
If you’re seeking an unparalleled luxurious stay in India, why not immerse yourself in the royal charm of Rajasthan ? The Oberoi Udaivilas, Udaipur is one of the best examples. With views over Lake Pichola to the spectacular City Palace, you would take a private boat ride to enter this palatial hotel, where you could relax in their spa and enjoy a yoga experience.
Glamping would offer you and your loved one more intimate hours and an unrivaled wild atmosphere. There are glamping sites in Ranthambore National Park, the Thar Desert in Jaisalmer, and the Himalayan range in Ladakh.
You could get some inspiration from our 14-day Golden Triangle and Rajasthan tour .
4. Celebrate the Immersive Festivals with Locals
What could be more culturally engaging than celebrating India’s festivals with locals? If you like this idea, choose from the top festivals: Holi in March and Diwali in October/November .
Color fights are the top highlight of Holi. Full of joy, you could try on local costumes, throw Holi colors with locals in the streets, or have a private Holi celebration at your hotel.
As for Diwali, you could indulge in the New Year atmosphere of the festival markets, paint your hands and feet in henna (using Indian traditional body art called mehndi), and have a Diwali feast with a local family.
Read further about the sample itineraries: 8-Day Diwali Festival in India's Golden Triangle Tour or 11-Day India Holi Festival Tour .
5. Immerse Yourself in Nature with a Private Safari Experience
Wildlife enthusiasts would love India’s tiger safari experiences . Ranthambore National Park is the most convenient place to spot big cats. Hop in a private safari jeep, go on jungle game drives at sunrise and sunset, and track the wild animals among the scenic views.
Besides the safari, you could unwind in the serene backwaters of Kerala in a traditional houseboat that’s just reserved for you.
How Long to Spend in India for a Luxury Trip
A popular amount of time to explore the icons of India is 10–15 days. If you choose to focus on the north, you could discover the Golden Triangle cities (Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur) in 7–8 days.
For the remaining days, you could consider 2 days in Varanasi for cultural immersion, 2–3 days in Ranthambore for tiger safaris, or 7 days in the Rajasthan region for desert scenery and magnificent palaces and forts.
If you focus on the south, you could consider 2–3 days in Mumbai for an insight into the lives of the rich and poor as well as Bollywood, 5–10 days in Kerala for backwaters and tiger safaris, and 5–10 days in Tamil Nadu for temples and historical immersion.
For a well-rounded experience, you could also consider traveling from the north to the south. Spend 1 week in the Golden Triangle, then 2–3 days in Mumbai, and conclude your trip in Goa for 3–4 days of beach relaxation.
Choosing an India Itinerary for a Luxury Trip
If you’re seeking luxury experiences during your first visit to India, North India is the top choice, particularly the Golden Triangle (Delhi–Agra–Jaipur) and Rajasthan region. If historical North India is not really for you, the landscape-filled south, such as the Kerala region, is a great alternative.
To showcase incredible and unique royal experiences, we’ve specially crafted a classic 2-week luxury itinerary covering North India. Contact us and we’ll tailor-make an exclusive itinerary per your specific interests.

How Much Is a Luxury India Trip?
Compared with luxury trips in Western countries, India is a good-value destination. For example, the daily cost of a private luxury trip in Italy in the peak season would start from US$1,800 per person, while you could expect the same trip in India to start from just US$900 per person. You could benefit from a 30–40% decrease in the low season (April to September) in India.
Typically, with luxury trips to India, 40% of the cost goes toward palace heritage hotels. To stretch your budget wisely, consider picking one or two palatial stays that captivate you, and then explore deluxe options from international brands to local boutique hotels.
For further insights into pricing details, you could check out our 2-Week Luxury India Tour , priced at US$5,859 each.
Best Times to Visit India
With pleasantly warm, dry, and sunny weather, December to February is the best time of year to travel throughout most of India, except for the chilly Himalayan and Ladakh regions. Hot temperatures hit most of the country from late March to May. Then, the monsoon prevails from June to September in northern India (including Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur) and extends to mid-December in the south (such as in Goa and Kerala).
With the best weather comes larger crowds. If you seek good weather with fewer crowds, you could consider early March, October, and November in North India, and March in South India. They are also the best times to experience traditional Indian festivals, as Holi falls in March and Diwali is celebrated in November.

The journey is your destination: 5 luxurious train rides that promise the trip of a lifetime
If you think train journeys are a thing of the past, you will be utterly surprised to know what these luxurious trains have to offer..
Listen to Story
- Palace on Wheels is one of the most luxurious trains that you can find in India
- Venice Simplon-Orient-Express is like the modern version of the famous Orient Express
- Seven Stars in Kyushu is Japan's premier luxury sleeper train
When it comes to travelling luxury, train journeys don’t really fit the bill (at least that’s what we think). Tourists eying to travel in comfort and grandeur often find solace in an airline’s business or first-class seating. It’s like finding a mini luxury room at 42,000 feet above sea level.
But imagine, if you could find the comfort of a business class seat and much more on a train that takes you to your destination, would you swap tickets?

What makes Moscow worth a visit are it's colorful and remarkable structures and the warmth of the inviting capital city. Have a tour of the city which is generally known as the ‘Fire Square’.
Best time to visit
In summers, Moscow generally offers a warm climate along with a little downpour. It is a great time to roam around the city in light, cotton clothes and witness many exciting tourist attractions around you. A tour to the Red Square, St. Basil Cathedral, and Kolomenskoye museum on a nice sunny day would be perfect in Moscow city.
The New Year’s Eve in Moscow’s winter is a great deal and is worth witnessing in a visit to the Russian capital. Many games, contests, and Russian cultural traditions take place in Red Square area every year while it is covered in snow. Make sure to pack loads of warm clothes to beat the freezing temperature while you give a tour to Moscow during winters.
Best Way to reach
The one and only way to reach Moscow from India is by air. There are 5 airports in Moscow city out of which 3 are connected to international airports of cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Lucknow, and Bengaluru through flights.

Business tourist flow from India to Moscow on the rise: Evgeny Kozlov
Business + Leisure Travel and MICE 2023 opened on 29 th of September with a keynote speech from the Chairman of The Moscow City Tourism Committee, Evgeny Kozlov. In his speech, the Chairman spoke about the potential for MICE and business tourism in Moscow and the growing number of Indian businessmen who are choosing Moscow as their preferred destination for business events.
Evgeny Kozlov highlighted that the number of business tourists is expected to grow in the coming years. One of the factors supporting the growth of interest from Indian businessmen was the launch of electronic visa program. From August 1, 2023, it has become easier for Indian citizens to organize a trip to Moscow – they can come simply by applying for an electronic visa. The validity period of an e-visa is 60 days from the date of its issuance. You can stay with it in Russia for 16 days. An e-visa has several advantages over a traditional visa. To obtain it, you do not need to go to consulates or embassies, and the only documents required are a digital photograph of your face and a scan of the page with your passport data.
“Before the pandemic, the tourist flow from India grew by 12-15 percent annually. Now we are on the road to recovery – all the conditions have been created for this. Every year hundreds of international exhibitions, forums, congresses and conferences are held in Moscow. Over the past year, about 3.5 million people visited the capital for business purposes and a significant share of them are from India” – he said.
Evgeny Kozlov emphasized that Moscow is a growing hub for international business events and Indian businessmen could benefit from attending these events to expand their network and explore potential business opportunities. The Moscow MICE Ambassadors program, which also premiered at the exhibition, aims to promote Moscow as a preferred destination for business tourism, and Indian businessmen who have completed the program can serve as valuable resources for organizing conferences and events in Moscow. Furthermore, Moscow offers a range of world-class facilities and services for business travelers, including conference centers, hotels, transportation, and sightseeing. He also mentioned that Moscow’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant nightlife could provide Indian businessmen with unique experiences that could enhance their overall business trip.
In conclusion, Evgeny Kozlov expressed his optimism for the future of MICE and business tourism in Moscow. Thus, in October 2023, Moscow will host the largest MICE Congress in Russia. Among the participants are 14 countries, including Indians. The event will provide a platform for businesses in the travel and tourism industry to showcase their products and services.
