Andrew Dice Clay has been performing stand-up since 1978 and has no plans to stop shocking audiences anytime soon.

In 2023, now 45 years deep into his comedy career, he’ll continue bringing his brash, no-holds barred brand of humor to audiences when he plays seven shows at theaters and clubs all over North America.

That includes a one-night stint at Huntington, NY’s The Paramount on June 3.

Stand-up comedy legend ANDREW DICE CLAY is hitting the road once again! Clay is proud to be one of America's most controversial and outrageous comics. And it’s that persona that has made him a Rock and Roll comedy legend. When he released his debut album, Dice, the parental advisory label simply read “Warning: This album is offensive.”

Despite media backlash, Dice’s rise to fame was nothing less than meteoric, creating “Dicemania”. He became the first comedian to sell out Madison Square Garden two nights in a row, as well as sporting arenas all across the country and was the only performer ever “Banned For Life from MTV.”

For decades, the secret to Dice's continuing success is that he has a lot more going for him than just being a shocking potty mouth. He is a comedic icon and his acting roles and credits clearly show that he is capable of being just as funny (or serious) without the dirty words. Dice is a talented, disciplined and versatile performer/actor and continues to be a comedy force to reckon with. Andrew Dice Clay is proud to be America's most controversial and outrageous comic of all time. And it’s that persona that has made Clay “The Undisputed “Heavy Weight King of Comedy.” 

Over the last few years, Clay has been going through resurgence; he had a critically acclaimed recurring role on the final season of HBO’s Entourage . And next summer, The DiceMan co-stars alongside Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin in Woody Allen’s  Blue Jasmine . To this day, Clay remains the only performer banned for life from MTV. When he released his debut album, DICE , the parental advisory label simply read "Warning: This album is offensive." But despite all the media backlash; Dice’s rise to fame was meteoric, selling out Madison Square Garden two nights in a row along hundreds of other sports arenas from coast to coast. As Dice proudly boasted, “I’ve done so many concerts tours that I can’t even remember their names.” And in 1992, Dice performed in front of the largest audience ever by a comedian when he shared the stage with Guns & Roses at the Rose Bowl. Along the way, Dice starred in numerous feature films including: The Adventures of Ford Fairlane , appeared in several HBO specials ( The Dice Man Cometh ), released best selling DVDs ( No Apologies, Dice Rules! ), a string of multi-gold and platinum selling CDs ( Day The Laughter Died; Filth and Face Down, Ass Up ) and profiled everywhere from Entertainment Tonight to Nightline . The Diceman cometh again.

Andrew Dice Clay, 66, has seven huge shows lined up from December 2023 all the way up until April 2024.

That includes a pair of New York gigs for the Brooklyn native.

First up, “The Adventures of Ford Fairlane” star will headline at Huntington’s Paramount Theater on Sunday, Dec. 17.

Then, two months later, the leather jacket wearing comic head straight to the heart of the Big Apple when he swoops into Carnegie Hall on Thursday, Feb. 15.

And if you want to see the foul-mouthed, nursery rhyme reciting icon live this year and next, you can grab tickets for all Dice performances as soon as today.

Andrew Dice Clay didn’t expect to find his next Big Shot eating his lunch on the sidewalk. 

And yet there he was, sipping a Coke and softly radiating in the imperturbable tranquility of a clear skied January day when Dice approached, filming the man and sheepishly asking in a nasally voice, “You heard I got the new phone?”

After all, Dice made his name in the late ’80s and early ’90s with a foul-mouthed routine that exploded across television like a hand grenade, shocking TV audiences and galvanizing millions of fans who bought up his comedy records and paid to see his concerts. Dice, whose real name was Andrew Silverstein , became an overnight star and arena headliner, becoming the first (and to date only) comedian to sell out two nights at Madison Square Garden. 

His agent Dennis Arfa , now at AGI, would field calls “from every promoter in the country, from Ron Delsener to Stu Green to Bill Graham ,” Dice tells Billboard . “And honestly, they didn’t know if I was a singer, a magician or a juggler. They just knew I was the guy who went on sale and in 48 minutes sold out.” 

Dice’s material would make him and those he worked with millions, but the crass nature of his jokes about sex and women — as well as his targeting of gays and immigrants — became a growing problem for those around him. His refusal to soften his material (he recently told Joe Rogan , “Dice doesn’t get f–ked, Dice does the f–king”) would eventually be his undoing, although his flame would burn out much slower than history portrays. 

In 1990 Diller would part ways with Dice, spiking a multi-movie agreement with him on the eve of the launch of his first film the Adventures of Ford Fairlane — a move that a 2023 episode of Vice’s The Dark Side of Comedy about the comedian equated to a death knell for his career. But the truth is that Dice was far from done with television, remaining active in TV and touring for another decade. He inked deals with ABC, CBS and HBO, and launched the 1995 sitcom Bless This House on CBS without any real opposition from within the entertainment business.  

Dice performed his final show at Madison Square Garden in 2000, inked a deal with SiriusXM in 2005 and stayed busy for the next 20 years doing occasional TV work, radio appearances and major films including Woody Allen’s Blue Jasmine opposite Cate Blanchett and Alec Baldwin and A Star Is Born alongside Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga. He also starred in the Showtime series Dice , very loosely based on his own life. His recent comeback began seven months ago when comedian and longtime friend Bill Burr convinced Dice to warm up the crowd at one of Burr’s headliner gigs.

“When we walked in his dressing room for the show, Bill stood up with a big smile and went, ‘Dice, you’re gonna do some time, right?’” Dice recalls. “The minute I got introduced, the New Jersey crowd went absolutely nuts.” 

It’s not just Burr either – podcaster Joe Rogan, comedians Sebastian Maniscalco and Jim Norton , radio megastar Howard Stern and dozens of other high-profile comedians have long supported Dice and cited him as an inspiration. And while he has never apologized for his past remarks toward gays, women and immigrants, he has softened his personality, and even slightly dialed back his famously filthy routine for one of his comeback shows at the Wiltern in LA last year. 

“One word, that’s all he need to get the part.” Dice notes. “One word to let the world know that this man is a genius.”
