We were so very fortunate to observe two very playful whales who came within meters of the boat. They preformed beautifully from frolicking, fin slapping, water spouts, tail flap, breaching, rolling, roaring. It was exhilarating. Three-level boat, so you could watch underwater, sit in wind-free cabin comfort or up top with the Skipper and the best views. After yesterday's constant drizzle, the day was warm and beautiful; the sea was as calm as could be, and we set out to sea accompanied by pods of dolphins. It turned out to be one of the less exciting days to see whales, as those we did see refused to perform the sort of circus tricks that wow their human observers. Nevertheless we saw quite a few humpback whales and got to see just how big they are. But all around us, beside us, underneath us, were possibly hundreds of dolphins - and what a show they put on for us! Thanks to the skipper and crew - always informative and friendly! Pre-booked weeks in advance but they changed our departure time without effectively telling us, then rang up 5 mins before departure and said be in in 5 mins or your monies are gone. Rushed down there and was belittled in front of other guest for being late. When we said we were booked for an hour later they rudely said "No your not!". Strangely enough the boat after us was fully booked. They moved our booking to fit another one in to suit them better and didn't ask us. Don't use....unless you like being treated like crap. Meet Tom "Cruise Director"

Meet owners David and Elsa Lazarus, who are the ones keeping this gorgeous beauty well maintained and sailing smoothly. Tom, "Cruise Director", which is David's jolly alter-ego, is on board to ensure a smooth (and fun) ride! When you meet him, his sunny personality already makes you feel like getting on his boat and having a good time. This is where he is comfortable and getting to meet all kinds of people from everywhere and enjoying themselves on his vessel gets him on deck every day!

Book a party on Rhythmboat

The Rhythmboat is available for cruises or a party boat hire and can cater up to 150 guests. The ideas for this are endless - imagine sailing down the river for a Christmas party, a birthday party and why not make your wedding extra memorable on the waters?

Companies who are bored with the usual rent-a-room-and-catering-food event can take guests out on a corporate event on the Rhythmboat and get some fresh air!

A cruise can last up to three hours around the waters of Port Macquarie. Choose which time of the day best suits your event. Whale and Dolphin Coastal patrol

A scenic tour along the Port Macquarie coastline patrolling for Humpback whales and dolphins.  We are in the week or two before  season launch, or either in the last week or two  of whale sightings and so they become harder to spot, so we go for a coastal patrol in the hope that we are able to pick up the stragglers.  Last year we encountered our first whale on 20th May and our last whale on the 10th November.
