Vers Tours Zéro carbone

Face au réchauffement climatique, il devient prioritaire de repenser les projets d’urbanisme, les déplacements, la place de la nature en ville et les consommations d’énergie. Objectif : améliorer le bien-être de chacun dans un environnement apaisé, une ville « des courts chemins », où l’on peut facilement se déplacer à pied ou à vélo.

Les 5 axes du Plan Nature en ville 2020 – 2026

Associer les habitants – prendre en compte les usages, 1- co-construire les petits et grands projets avec les habitants.

La ville changera grâce à l’adhésion et l’engagement des Tourangelles et Tourangeaux, qui regorgent d’idées pour développer et faire vivre les parcs et jardins. Pour cela, les projets seront systématiquement concertés et la ville soutiendra les initiatives citoyennes. Cela permet de dépasser la fonction ornementale de la végétalisation, en développant de nouveaux usages dans les espaces verts, notamment pour que les enfants y trouvent leur place.

• Rencontrer toutes les associations locales oeuvrant sur les thématiques de la nature en ville – en cours depuis mi-2020
• Accompagner les projets citoyens ou associatifs d’aménagement de l’espace public ou des parcs et jardins
• Accueillir l’association « Biodivercity » sur le site de la Charpraie pour mener des actions pédagogiques avec les enfants autour des animaux

2- Concevoir les projets à l’échelle du piéton et pour les êtres vivants

• Inclure des éléments de biodiversité dès la phase de conception des projets (pour les projets portés par la collectivité et par les aménageurs privés)
• Aménager et valoriser des circuits pédestres dans les bois et autour des zones humides (créer des aménagements : passerelles, accompagnement des cheminements piétons ; mettre en place de la communication pédagogique in situ ; créer une cartographie spécifique de ces cheminements piétons et Fleur de Trottoir)
• Installer de nouveaux mobiliers urbains afin de diversifier les usages (bancs, corbeilles, signalétiques…)
• Mettre en œuvre les préconisations issues des Inventaires de Biodiversité Communale

3- Dédier des espaces aux enfants

• Renouveler 2 aires de jeux pour les enfants tous les ans avec des jeux plus modernes et mieux adaptés aux envies actuelles des enfants.
• Intégrer les usages spécifiques des enfants dans la conception des projets
• Créer un jardin inclusif ou un espace spécifique dans les parcs et jardins existants pour les enfants et PMR (senteurs, toucher, goût, communication adaptée, strates plus basses)
• Concevoir et mettre en œuvre de la communication dédiée aux enfants

4- Faire coïncider les espaces verts avec les usages

• Faire évoluer le règlement des parcs et jardins en fonction des usages (identifier les usages en s’appuyer sur les conseils de quartier et les enquêtes terrain ; organiser des ateliers participatifs avec les services ; appréhender les usages non pas à la seule échelle du site mais à celle d’un ensemble de sites proches)
• Reprendre le mur du jardin Mirabeau pour permettre une perméabilité entre le jardin et la cour du conservatoire
• Dédier des espaces réservés aux chiens laissés en liberté (ex : parc de Ste-Radegonde)
• Analyser la fréquentation des parcs animaliers de l’Ile Balzac et de Ste-Radegonde et possiblement les faire évoluer

De la nature et des jardins pour tous

1- offrir dans les quartiers les bienfaits de la nature en ville.

Planter des milliers d’arbres et arbustes, créer de nouveaux espaces de nature est un projet qui concrétise l’engagement de l’équipe municipale à faire éclore une « ville des courts chemins » . Une ville à taille humaine où, peu importe son âge, sa condition physique, son quartier, on peut trouver de la verdure et de la fraîcheur, où l’on peut faire pousser et cueillir ses propres fruits et légumes.

• Planter plus d’ arbres fruitiers et créer des vergers , et adapter le règlement des parcs et jardins pour prévoir des zones à cueillir
• Créer un jardin santé vis-à-vis des risques allergènes
• Profiter de chaque projet de rénovation de l’espace public pour végétaliser (réfection de trottoir, PAVE, pistes cyclables…)
• Orienter la végétalisation vers les quartiers qui en sont dépourvus (revoir les points de fleurissement vers un rééquilibrage au profit des quartiers qui en sont dépourvus ; tendre vers une “offre” complémentaire et plurielle de types d’espaces verts par quartier : fleurissement, jardin comestible, jardin enfant…)
• Réviser le PLU pour laisser plus d’espaces à verdir sur les parcelles privées
• Enrichir les sols pour qu’ils puissent accueillir de la végétation à moyen terme dans les quartiers construits sur des remblais en bord de Cher

2- Pérenniser durablement les jardins familiaux

• Développer des liens plus étroits avec les Présidents des associations grâce à des réunions participatives régulières et au don de certaines fournitures et de surplus de production florale
• Établir un plan d’action pérenne de désamiantage des cabanes
• Faire converger les règles d’attribution des parcelles de jardins familiaux
• Établir un programme de réfection des allées et installation de sanitaires
• Créer de nouveaux jardins familiaux pour reloger notamment les jardiniers du site de St-François dont la Ville n’est pas propriétaire
• Chaque année, renouveler des cabanes avec désamiantage, installer des équipements de gestion de l’eau et créer des îlots de biodiversité
• Revoir les concours des jardins familiaux pour mieux promouvoir les pratiques écologiques
• Accompagner les pratiques des jardiniers vers plus d’écologie (élaborer un cahier des pratiques écologiques dans les jardins familiaux ; développer des actions d’animation, démonstration et de formation auprès des jardiniers ; faire évoluer le règlement des jardins familiaux)

3- Concilier biodiversité et paysages

• Élaborer une charte des paysages écologiques
• Développer la sensibilité paysagère dans la gestion des espaces verts (sensibiliser et former les tondeurs et jardiniers à la dimension paysagère de l’entretien des zones de fauche)
• Veiller à créer des continuités paysagères entre les grands parcs (trame verte) en proposant une mise en jardin des espaces interstitiels (jardins d’accueil dans les quartiers de grands ensembles, jachères fleuries dans des espaces enherbés ou sur les terrains vagues)
• Intégrer le volet “entretien écologique” dès la phase de conception

4- Maintenir les labels qualité et en développer de nouveaux

• Préserver les savoir-faire traditionnels (assurer la transmission des savoir-faire comme la mosaïculture)
• Maintenir le label 4 fleurs et Fleur d’or du concours national des villes et villages fleuris
• Développer de nouveaux labels ” écologiques “ : adhérer au dispositif « Territoire engagé pour la Nature » (action engagée 2021) développé par l’office français de biodiversité ; obtenir le label « refuge LPO » sur le site de la Bergeonnerie ; participer au concours « capitale française de la biodiversité »

5- Créer la ville comestible

• Favoriser la plantation d’arbres et arbustes fruitiers
• Créer des vergers participatifs avec des associations de quartier
• Renouveler la collecte réalisée en 2020 qui a permis de cultiver 750 kg de courges au Bois des Hâtes et de les distribuer via la Banque Alimentaire
• Créer un jardin sur le thème de la gastronomie , ouvert au public, à la Villa Rabelais dans le cadre de la cité de la gastronomie – projet 2021

Rendre la ville plus résiliente

1- s’adapter au réchauffement climatique en végétalisant.

Avec le réchauffement climatique, les canicules sont de plus en plus nombreuses et rendent urgente la mise en place de solutions pour redonner de l’ombre et de la fraîcheur en ville. Le patrimoine végétal doit aussi être diversifié pour faire face aux sécheresses.

• Opération « Récré en herbe » : végétaliser et réaménager des cours d’école pour les rendre plus rafraichissantes. En 2021, cela concernera les écoles St-Exupéry/Croix Pasquier et Buisson-Molière. En 2022 : Rabelais, Michelet et Gide. Ensuite, 2 seront réaménagées chaque année.
• Végétaliser de nombreux espaces publics (cour du conservatoire, cimetières, parcs et jardins, abords de voirie, places, projets connexes du tramway).
• Amplifier les plantations d’arbustes et d’arbres en régie par nos équipes de jardiniers
• Travailler avec l’ABF pour étendre et densifier la végétalisation dans le secteur sauvegardé .
• Remplacer les alignements d’arbres dépérissants et débitumer leur pied dès lors que c’est possible
• Acquérir un mobilier « canopée » végétalisé avec des plantes grimpantes lorsqu’il n’est pas possible de planter compte tenu des contraintes du sous-sol
• Établir une nouvelle gamme végétale adaptée au réchauffement climatique pour les plantations dans la Ville (arbres, arbustes, plantes, gazons)
• Intégrer le risque incendie dans nos pratiques d’entretien (zones de fauche et boisements en particulier)

2- Rendre la ville plus perméable

• Végétaliser les pieds d’arbre par des couvre-sol ou, à défaut, prévoir des matériaux perméables
• Prévoir des parkings verts (engazonnés sur terre-pierre ou autre solution technique) pour tous les nouveaux projets ou projets de requalification
• Réviser le PLU pour laisser plus de place aux surfaces perméables et végétalisées
• Agir au niveau de la conception des projets (pour permettre la rétention temporaire de l’eau (mares, noues, stockage souterrain…) ; concevoir les projets avec des revêtements perméables (enrobés drainants, résine…) ; réaliser des chantiers tests
• Prévoir un objectif de débitumisation dans l’ensemble des projets d’aménagement

3- Libérer les arbres habituellement tondus – Rénover et transformer les bassins et fontaines

• Libérer progressivement des arbres d’alignement afin qu’ils puissent offrir le maximum de leurs services à la population : ombrage, rafraîchissement par transpiration, filtration de particules, abri de biodiversité
• Rénover les bassins dégradés et peu économes en eau – 2021 : Loiseau d’Entraigues
• Transformation de certaines fontaines en jardins, par exemple le carrefour de Verdun

4- En lien avec la Métropole

• Élaborer un schéma directeur vert et une charte de l’arbre : écrire des guides de bonnes pratiques de conception, d’entretien de protection du végétal et élaborer un programme de végétalisation des espaces publics prioritairement concernés par les phénomènes d’îlots de chaleur urbain. Action réalisée à l’été 2020 : collecte de données de températures pour caractériser les îlots de chaleur urbains.
• Élaboration avec d’un barème d’aménité des arbres : développer cette mesure de protection destinée à donner une valeur financière à un arbre en fonction des services qu’il apporte et de sa valeur patrimoniale, afin de prendre conscience des services rendus à la collectivité

Sensibiliser et animer

1- actions pédagogiques, valorisation de l’action publique, partenariats, travail entre collectivités….

La nature en ville permet de trouver une harmonie entre les habitants et leur environnement, en étant support de nouveaux liens sociaux. Les habitants peuvent partager ici un composteur, là un verger, mais aussi des moments de convivialités lors d’évènements festifs et pédagogiques.

• Réaliser des chantiers participatifs avec les habitants du quartier et/ou les scolaires
• Organiser une fête de la biodiversité tous les ans au bois des Hâtes. L’édition 2021 aura lieu les 3 et 4 juillet.
• Organiser une journée verte tous les ans avec l’ensemble des associations locales. En 2021, elle aura lieu le 9 octobre sur le thème « La nature près de chez soi ».
• Organiser une manifestation pour la journée mondiale des animaux, le 4 octobre
• Accueillir le jury des villes et villages fleuris en 2022
• Accueillir et organiser des assises nationales du fleurissement en 2024.
• Et bien d’autres animations tout au long de l’année au jardin botanique, au bois des Hâtes ou ailleurs dans la Ville : la nuit des serres, les dimanches verts, les échappées en forêt…

Faire de la transition écologique des pratiques

1- gérer de manière efficiente la ressources en eau.

• Réaliser des économies d’eau en déclinant de manière opérationnelle l’étude du schéma directeur vert : bonnes pratiques d’arrosage, adaptation aux arrêtés préfectoraux de restriction d’eau, réutilisation des eaux usées et de pluie…
• Optimiser la consommation en eau dans les jardins familiaux : pose de compteurs, disjoncteurs, politique tarifaire, plages de restrictions…
• Établir un diagnostic global de l’utilisation de toutes les ressources en eau pour tous les usages : bassins, fontaines, arrosage…. Action prévue en 2021 : réalisation d’un diagnostic du fonctionnement hydraulique des bassins du jardin botanique et de la rivière artificielle des Prébendes, alimentés par l’eau potable ou par l’eau de forage et proposer par la suite des travaux pour réduire les pertes en eau.
• Élaborer une gamme végétale mieux adaptée à la sécheresse pour les plantations en régie

2- Gérer de manière efficiente les déchets verts

• Étudier l’opportunité de réaliser un compost propre à la ville
• Optimiser les temps de transport de déchets verts grâce à une plateforme de déchets verts plus proches des secteurs de gestion des espaces verts
• Optimiser la gestion circulaire et locale des déchets verts (faire appel à un prestataire pour le broyat des gros bois pour faire du paillage pour les espaces verts ; étudier les scénarios d’évolution des pratiques actuelles de broyage en interne dans un objectif de gérer localement et de limiter les transports en plateforme de compostage ; établir les règles d’utilisation des paillages broyés en interne)
• Gérer les déchets verts atteints de maladies de manière écologique et sécurisée

3- S’approvisionner de manière durable

• Intégrer des critères environnementaux dans les marchés , par exemple en demandant les bilans environnementaux dans les consultations, en définissant des critères spécifiques dans les règlements de consultation
• Privilégier l’achat de plantes produites de manière plus écologique en recourant aux labels écologiques
• Favoriser l’achat local en prévoyant des clauses spécifiques dans les marchés publics
• Utiliser la terre végétale locale en s’approvisionnant sur les chantiers réalisés dans les espaces privés qui proposent de la terre à récupérer

4- Mener des actions de protection des pollinisateurs

• Favoriser l’installation d ’apiculteurs en ville .
• Offrir un petit pot de miel pour les mariages des Tourangelles et Tourangeaux (projet à compter de 2021).

5- Favoriser la biodiversité dans nos pratiques d’entretien des espaces verts et des bois

La Ville de Tours hérite d’un patrimoine bâti historique qui fait la fierté de notre ville et que nous devons conserver. Mais le végétal constitue lui aussi un patrimoine qu’il convient de faire vivre et de réinventer avec tout autant de soin. La transition écologique des pratiques permettra de l’adapter aux enjeux du siècle à venir et de l’enrichir.

• Recréer des prairies et des zones de refuges pour la biodiversité dans les espaces verts , comme des zones de fauche tardive – en cours
• Renforcer le volet biodiversité du partenariat avec l’ONF pour gérer durablement le bois des Hâtes et la forêt de Preuilly – en cours
• Réaliser des inventaires de biodiversité faune et flore sur 30 sites de Tours par la SEPANT et la LPO – en cours
• Transformer un poste de jardinier en un poste de botaniste naturaliste permettant d’identifier les espaces verts à enjeux, de mieux connaître la biodiversité de notre territoire et d’assurer son suivi – réalisé
• Adapter l’aménagement et l’entretien aux abords des zones humides
• Réaliser des aménagements consécutifs aux inventaires de biodiversité, en partenariat avec les associations naturalistes locales
• Faire évoluer les pratiques de plantations en régie (en privilégiant les essences locales, favorables à la biodiversité et économes en eau ; implantation d’arbustes et vivaces indigènes, favorables à la faune locale en favorisant les corridors écologiques)

Le Plan de Sobriété Énergétique

Forte de ses valeurs et portée par la nécessaire transition écologique, la municipalité a amorcé dès son arrivée une démarche de réduction de son empreinte écologique, avec une stratégie visant à réduire de 45% l’empreinte carbone à horizon 2030. Ce faisant, elle a mis la ville de Tours sur la voie du respect des objectifs fixés par l’Accord de Paris sur le climat.

Depuis 2020, Tours contribue à accélérer le mouvement vers un nouveau modèle énergétique plus vertueux, avec le lancement d’un Plan pluriannuel d’investissements de 450 millions d’euros sur 12 ans, en grande partie orienté vers la rénovation énergétique des bâtiments publics et qui vient conforter les services publics.

Dans le même temps, un plan de sobriété énergétique et de préservation de la ressource en eau a aussi été engagé, fixant des actions de court, moyen et long terme. La rénovation énergétique des bâtiments publics, notamment les écoles, est une des priorités à assumer afin d’en diminuer les consommations énergétiques de 25% d’ici 2030. La reconstruction de l’école Jean de La Fontaine en bois – paille en est un parfait exemple ; illustrant la volonté d’allier économie d’énergie et confort d’usage. D’autres actions peuvent également être évoquées, de l’extinction progressif de l’éclairage public à l’accompagnement des changements d’usages, en passant par le développement d’installations photovoltaïques : aucune échelle n’est négligée pour rendre le territoire plus apte à lutter contre le réchauffement climatique, la pollution de l’air et l’érosion de notre biodiversité. La Ville de Tours mène avec tous les acteurs du territoire la transition vers une ville plus apaisée et soucieuse de la qualité de vie dans tous ses quartiers. Là où il y a une volonté, il y a un chemin : notre ville atteindra les uns après les autres les objectifs collectivement fixés, tout en assumant une gestion saine et sobre de la collectivité.

Les actions à mener

A court terme pour réduire la consommation et prioriser les besoins énergétiques essentiels.

Vers une utilisation optimisée des bâtiments et des équipements publics :

• Retarder la mise en fonction du chauffage, avancer son arrêt et baisser de 1°C la température des gymnases.
• Réduire la température de l’eau des bassins et de l’air dans les piscines (de 28°C à 27°C).
• Déclencher la climatisation à 28°C et réduire le niveau de climatisation du Data center de la Mairie.
• Réduire le chauffage des serres municipales.
• Interdire les chauffages et les climatisations d’appoint, sauf dans les crèches et les écoles.
• Éteindre les équipements numériques à distance la nuit et les week-ends.
• Optimiser les périodes de chauffe dans les écoles.

Un éclairage public au plus près des usages :

• Expérimenter l’extinction de l’éclairage public entre 1 h et 5 h sur 3 quartiers (Douets, Blanqui et l’extrémité sud du quartier Febvotte).
• Réduire d’une heure l’éclairage patrimonial « Parcours Lumière » et supprimer celui des serres du jardin botanique Biodivers et Jeanne Barret.
• Limiter l’éclairage des terrains de sport avant et après les matchs.
• Faire respecter la réglementation relative à l’éclairage des enseignes et des mobiliers publicitaires.
• Éteindre l’éclairage dans les parcs et squares fermés la nuit.

Optimiser l’occupation des locaux municipaux :

• Regrouper le personnel administratif municipal en période de congés pour permettre la fermeture de bâtiments.
• Regrouper et optimiser les mises à disposition de salles municipales.

Accompagner la transformation des comportements :

• Inciter à la pratique de transport moins énergivores en augmentant le parc de vélos de service (avec ou sans assistance électrique) et des vélos cargo.
• Favoriser l’utilisation de l’application de covoiturage local pour les trajets domicile-travail (Klaxit – SMT).
• Encourager la mutualisation des véhicules de service.
• Sensibiliser le personnel communal aux écogestes.
• Sensibiliser les commerçants à la fermeture de leurs portes en période de chauffe ou de climatisation et faire respecter l’extinction de l’éclairage après fermeture.
• Établir une charte des bonnes pratiques pour l’utilisation des équipements publics.

Des festivités de fin d’année encore plus vertueuses :

• Remplacer la patinoire de Noël par une piste de rollers.
• Réduire l’amplitude horaires des illuminations de Noël.
• Réduire la quantité de décorations lumineuses tout en les répartissant entre les quartiers.

Préserver la ressource en eau :

• Arrêter les fontaines de certaines places publiques (place de la Liberté, place Loiseau d’Entraigues, carrefour Verdun).

A moyen terme pour mieux utiliser l’énergie

Rationaliser l’occupation des locaux municipaux :

• Regrouper les activités sportives pour optimiser les temps de chauffage et les zones chauffées et inciter les usagers des bâtiments à regrouper les activités quand cela est possible.
• Réduire la période d’ouverture de la patinoire.
• Réduire les plages d’ouverture au public de certains équipements en fonction des fréquentations, en cas de grand froid ou de forte chaleur.
• Étudier et programmer la coupure de ballons d’eau chaude sanitaire dédiés aux lave-mains.

Favoriser de nouvelles technologies au service d’un éclairage public plus économique :

• Développer des solutions à détection de présence sur les sites qui s’y prêtent tels les sites sans circulation motorisée et/ou à fort enjeu de biodiversité (ex. : espace vert ouvert).

Adapter les techniques pour diminuer la consommation d’eau :

• Recycler les eaux des piscines pour l’arrosage de jeunes plantations d’arbres et d’arbustes.
• Étudier l’installation de récupérateurs d’eau de pluie dans chaque opération bâtimentaire et continuer leur déploiement dans les jardins familiaux.
• Utiliser des plantes moins gourmandes en eau.
• Améliorer la composition des sols pour limiter l’arrosage des végétaux (mycorhization, paillage, etc.) et désimperméabiliser les sols environnants pour réduire les apports d’eau potable.
• Arrêter de prévoir l’arrosage intégré dans les nouveaux aménagements paysagers.
• Étudier le fonctionnement hydraulique des plans d’eau dans les parcs urbains pour limiter la consommation d’eau.

Optimiser les déplacements professionnels :

• Remplacer certains véhicules thermiques municipaux par des véhicules électriques ou des vélos.
• Mettre en place un Plan de Déplacement de l’Administration

A long terme à privilégier

Un programme ambitieux de rénovation énergétique :

• Est inscrit au Schéma Directeur Immobilier Énergétique de la Ville un programme de rénovation énergétique du patrimoine, de 185 M€ sur 10 ans. Dès 2024 un Contrat de Performance Énergétique de 20 M€ sera déployé.
• 2023 : extension et rénovations des écoles Jean de La Fontaine, Claude Bernard, et Camus-Maurois

Déployer les réseaux de chauffage urbain, y raccorder les bâtiments publics :

• En 2022, le groupe scolaire Jules Ferry, l’école Clocheville et le Petit Faucheux.
• En 2023, le site de la Mairie.

De nouvelles technologies au service d’un éclairage public plus économique :

• Amplifier et finaliser le programme d’investissement permettant le remplacement de 700 lampadaires par an (rénovation par des luminaires à LED).

Remplacer les systèmes au fioul :

• par des modes de chauffage à énergies renouvelables.

Développer des installations photovoltaïques et solaires :

• sur le patrimoine de la ville (2023, école Jules Verne)

Intégrer la nécessité d’économie des ressources :

• dans les nouvelles constructions

La Ville de Tours a une responsabilité particulière en matière environnementale, c’est pour cela que le rapport en matière de développement durable 2021-2022 marque la réalisation des engagements de 2020 visant à structurer l’action environnementale de la Ville. Elle publie également pour la première fois depuis 2011-2014, son bilan « carbone » (bilan de ses émissions de gaz à effet de serre).

Avoir un rapport en matière de développement durable plus structuré et un bilan carbone sont des éléments essentiels pour la conduite d’une action publique efficace, prospective et pertinente. La traduction en droit interne des engagements pris par la France lors de l’accord de Paris visant à réduire son empreinte carbone oblige en effet les collectivités à réaliser et accompagner des changements importants dans la vie municipale. Plus encore, la réalité du dérèglement climatique impose des actions rapides et structurantes.

Gouverner sans outils pour prendre en compte l’impératif environnemental exposait la Collectivité à une action insuffisante ou inadaptée, à se laisser surprendre par des sujets importants susceptibles de perturber son fonctionnement ou les activités essentielles de son territoire, à prendre des décisions sur la base d’informations incomplètes.

La Ville a une responsabilité particulière en matière d’émissions de gaz à effet de serre, notamment en matière d’achats, d’alimentation et de déplacements de ses agents.

Génissiat, a fascinating industrial structure

Come and discover how water is transformed into 100% renewable electricity at our site of Génissiat with its dam and hydropower plant.

This structure is an unmissable site of the industrial landscape of the Upper Rhone. Located between Ain and Haute-Savoie, it was inaugurated in 1948. Called the “French Niagara” due to the height of its head (fall), it is the result of a gigantic construction project begun in 1937 and continued during the Second World War. The largest hydroelectricity dam-plant in Europe at the time it supplied Paris with electricity from 1948 onwards.

Discover the energy mix of our site of Bollène, which includes a hydropower plant, two solar power plants and three wind turbines.

Inaugurated in 1952 by the president of the French Republic, Vincent Auriol, this emblematic site will take you on a journey into history with its plant, the most productive in Europe at the time, and its lock, then the largest in the world. The majestic façade, the interior gallery and the former control room, left as it was in the 1950s, are listed historical monuments.

Understand how the energies of water, wind and sun are transformed into electricity.

Your safety is our priority

• All visitors must show proof of identity (valid identity card or passport, French driving licence provided that the photograph resembles the holder).
• Access is forbidden to persons without valid proof of identity or who have not made a reservation.
• Any action contrary to or not in compliance with the safety rules during the visit will lead to the immediate halting of the visit and the evacuation of the group outside the CNR site.

• The visit lasts about 2h
• Open from the beginning of April to the beginning of November
• Prices are charged for visits
• From 8 years old and older
• Access for reduced mobility persons
• Carpark and picnic area close by
• Flat and closed shoes are obligatory (e.g., trainers or hiking shoes). If these conditions are not met, you may be refused access to the site. The visit is conducted wholly on foot and since it lasts two hours, it is preferable to wear comfortable clothes.

Les tours solaires à effet de cheminée

La tour solaire à effet de cheminée est un projet d'envergure qui n'a pas d'applications commerciales ou industrielle.

Un prototype construit en 1982 à Manzanares , en Espagne, a fonctionné pendant 7 ans.

Son principale avantage est qu’elle peut fonctionner à la fois le jour en utilisant le rayonnement du soleil et la nuit, avec une production plus faible, en utilisant la chaleur de la croûte terrestre.

Principe de fonctionnement d'une centrale solaire à effet de cheminée

Une centrale solaire à effet de cheminée se décompose en trois parties distinctes :

• Le collecteur : une serre en forme de disque d’un grand diamètre qui va chauffer l’air
• La cheminée : permet d’évacuer l’air chaud et par conséquent de créer un flux d’air
• La turbine : qui génère de l’électricité

Lorsque les rayons du Soleil viennent frapper la serre, l’air s'engouffre sous cette dernière et remonte par la cheminée par effet de convection. Entrainée par le flux d'air chaud, une ou plusieurs turbines à hélices situées au bas de la cheminée génèrent ainsi de l’électricité.

Au cours de la journée, le Soleil réchauffe les sols et éventuellement des conduites d’eau, qui vont redistribuer leur chaleur la nuit, permettant de poursuivre la production d’énergie après le coucher du Soleil.

• Avantages :
• Source d’énergie inépuisable et gratuite
• Pas d’émission polluante
• Concilie agriculture et énergie solaire : les serres au sol de la tour pour un usage agricole
• Mécanique simple, turbine placée au sol, peu d’entretien
• Peu fonctionner sans intermittence avec un système de stockage de chaleur basé sur le principe d’ inertie thermique
• Inconvénients :
• Rapport puissance/surface très faible
• Investissement de départ important
• Hauteur de la structure qui complexifie le chantier

Implanté près de Manzanares en Espagne et mise en service en 1982, ce prototype de tour solaire à effet de cheminée de 200m a permis à une équipe de chercheurs d’étudier son efficacité pendant 7 ans, avant que celle-ci ne s’effondre à cause d’un problème de corrosion.

Grâce aux résultats apportés par le projet pilote de Manzanares, un projet de tour solaire à effet de cheminée gigantesque a été étudié, destinée à la production électrique de masse. Cependant, à cause des prix très compétitifs des autres technologies solaires, le financement et la construction de ces projets semble de moins en moins probable.

The Global Energy and Climate (GEC) Model key input dataset includes selected key input data for all three modelled scenarios (STEPS, APS, NZE). This contains macro drivers such as population, economic developments and prices as well as techno-economic inputs such as fossil fuel resources or technology costs.

Lena, our guide in Moscow was excellent. She was very knowledgable and could answer any question we had for her. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. Meanwhile, I will refer you to other potential visitors to Russia as I meet them.

What is the best time to visit moscow.

Any time of year is fine depending on what you plan to do. Winter can be quite cold but beautiful nonetheless, and this is unproblematic if you intend to spend most of your trip in museums and galleries. How many days are enough in Moscow?

If you plan your itinerary strategically and aren’t averse to a packed schedule, you can cover Moscow’s main sights over a long weekend. Most popular attractions are in the city centre, and the Moscow Metro allows you to cover much ground in a small amount of time. Ensure that your accommodation is fairly central and book tickets in advance, so that you can make the most of your days. Do they speak English in Moscow?

As Russia’s capital city, tourists are well accommodated in Moscow. There should be English-speaking staff in restaurants, bars, hotels, shops and attractions in tourist hotspots, and there are also English-speaking tourist police. Transport services have English translations on their maps and English announcements via intercom; alternatively, order taxis from the Yandex Taxi app (Russian Uber), though it’s unlikely that your taxi driver will speak English. If you get stuck and cannot communicate, it’s fine to use Google Translate.

Is it safe to travel to Moscow?

It is no less safe to travel to Moscow than to any European city if you exercise common sense and look after your belongings. As with every city some regions can be more unsavoury than others, but no tourist attractions are located there. The traffic in Moscow is notorious, so exercise caution when crossing roads. Do not take unlicensed taxis; book in advance or take public transport, which is widespread and perfectly safe. If you encounter any problems, look for the special tourist police who can help you. U of I Students Earn Top Awards for Music Education

MOSCOW, Idaho — A University of Idaho student has received the Professional Achievement Award from the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), and the U of I collegiate chapter of NAfME received the Chapter of Excellence Award for Service in April.

Alexis Gist of Veradale, Washington, is a senior at Lionel Hampton School of Music and 2023-24 president of the Idaho Collegiate NAfME chapters. She has been a tireless advocate for music education and works to connect performers and educators through opportunities to teach, perform and inspire musicians of all ages. Gist is an accomplished flautist and served as a section leader in the Vandal Marching Band. She will graduate in May. 

The U of I collegiate chapter of NAfME is made up of more than 30 students from Lionel Hampton School of Music. Over a period of several weeks, they worked closely with Lapwai Middle/High School where they cleaned and inventoried school band instruments, made simple instrument repairs, labeled those that needed professional repair and organized the instruments. This service project contributed to the revival of the school’s band program which hadn't met since 2014.

“I am so very proud of our CNAfME Chapter leadership and members and their hard work in planning and executing service projects, educational opportunities, and social gatherings for our music education community,” said Lori Conlon Khan, advisor to the group and a clinical associate professor at Lionel Hampton School of Music. “These students are well on their way to becoming awesome music educators,” she said.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas —  The Chevron Championship is kicking off the 2024 LPGA Tour major season this week as the world’s best players take on The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas. All of the top 10 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings are set to tee it up, as are all five of this season’s tournament champions, including world No. 1 and 12-time LPGA Tour winner Nelly Korda, who is working to collect her fifth straight LPGA Tour title in the year’s first major. Eleven past champions will also compete, most notably 2023 Chevron Championship winner Lilia Vu and Republic of Korea native So Yeon Ryu, and 12 LPGA Tour rookies are playing in their first major as LPGA Tour members, including Epson Tour graduates Isabella Fierro, Auston Kim and Gabriela Ruffels. A $7.9 million purse is up for grabs, as are 650 Race to the CME Globe points, 150 more than a regular-season LPGA Tour tournament, a worthy prize for whatever deserving champion emerges at this week’s major.

Thursday, 8:10 a.m.* – Jin Young Ko/Patty Tavatanakit/So Yeon Ryu

Jin Young Ko won the 2019 edition of The Chevron Championship and is looking for her first major title since winning The Amundi Evian Championship in July of that same year. In addition to that victory, she has recorded two additional top-10 finishes in this event, tying for seventh in 2021 and tying for ninth last year at The Club at Carlton Woods after posting rounds of 72-71-70-68 on the challenging layout. This week is Ko’s third start of the 2024 season, and in her previous two tournaments this year, she finished in a tie for 20th at the Honda LPGA Thailand and a tie for eighth in her title defense at the HSBC Women’s World Championship. Despite her lack of starts in 2024 and even though she’s only won two majors since joining the Tour in 2018, Ko is a player who loves the big stage of a major championship. Her 70.68 scoring average is ranked second of all players with 30 or more rounds at the majors in the last five years, according to KPMG Performance Insights. So, pay close attention to Ko this week as she’s bound to record a few numbers deep in the red at this challenging venue in The Woodlands, Texas.

Patty Tavatanakit won The Chevron Championship in 2021 as a rookie, and until she captured this year’s Honda LPGA Thailand title in her home country, that major was her lone victory on the LPGA Tour. In addition to her win in February, the 24-year-old UCLA alum has collected one other top-10 finish this season, tying for eighth at the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore, and one other top-25 result, tying for 22nd just down the road from her alma mater, UCLA, at the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship. Statistically, Tavatanakit is ranked inside the top 10 on the LPGA Tour in several notable categories, including strokes gained around the green (3, +0.67), strokes gained tee to green (5, +1.50), strokes gained driving (5, +0.82) and strokes gained total (7, +1.68). She’s also eighth in scoring average and ninth in birdie-or-better percentage. She finished in a tie for 41st in this event in 2023, but considering the strength of her recent form, don’t count out Tavatanakit as a contender in Houston.

So Yeon Ryu took home her second career major title at the 2017 Chevron Championship, winning in a playoff over Lexi Thompson at Mission Hills Country Club, and will now play for the last time on the LPGA Tour at the storied event in The Woodlands, Texas. She hasn’t competed on the LPGA Tour since the 2023 BMW Ladies Championship in the Republic of Korea last October, ultimately finishing in a tie for 28th, and after struggling a bit last season, the former Rolex Rankings No. 1 knew that she’d wrap up her playing career fairly quickly in 2024. While the moment is a bittersweet one, the 34-year-old is more than ready to walk the fairways of the Tour she’s called home over the last 13 years for the final time this week at The Club at Carlton Woods as she bids farewell to her fans and friends at the 2024 Chevron Championship.

Thursday, 12:59 p.m.* – Celine Boutier/Allisen Corpuz/Ruoning Yin

This week marks Celine Boutier’s seventh start in The Chevron Championship, and the Frenchwoman finished in a tie for 14th last year in the tournament’s debut at The Club at Carlton Woods. It was her second-best finish in the major championship, only behind a tie for fourth that came in 2022 at Mission Hills Country Club, and it’s a performance that she’ll be working to build upon this week just outside of Houston, Texas. The Chevron Championship is her seventh event of the 2024 LPGA Tour season, and while she has yet to miss any cuts, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster for the 29-year-old, who began the year looking for more of what she found in her four-win season in 2023. She tied for 16th and tied for 49th in her first two tournaments of the year and then finished solo second at the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore, tying for 12th the next week at the Blue Bay LPGA. But Boutier wasn’t able to hang on to that momentum, finishing T35 and T47 at the Ford Championship presented by KCC and T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards, respectively, ahead of this week at The Chevron Championship. However, she’s still very much in form, on paper ranking in the top 20 in strokes gained tee to green per round (18, +1.08), strokes gained approach per round (18, +0.81) and strokes gained around the green per round (20, +0.39), according to KPMG Performance Insights. The Rolex Rankings No. 3 is also 11th in birdies (94), 14th in putts per green in regulation (1.74) and 22nd in strokes gained total (+1.08). 

Allisen Corpuz slept on the 54-hole co-lead at last year’s Chevron Championship, sitting in a tie for first with Angel Yin after posting back-to-back 67s in the second and third rounds at The Club at Carlton Woods. While she ultimately faded to a tie for fourth on Sunday, it set the University of Southern California alum up for even more major success later in the 2023 season. Just a couple of months after playing well in The Woodlands, Texas, Corpuz became a Rolex First-Time Winner at the U.S. Women’s Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links, winning by three shots over Charley Hull and Jiyai Shin and becoming the first woman to win a professional event at the venue. And it wasn’t just in those two majors that the Hawaii native showed her mettle. According to KPMG Performance Insights, Corpuz gained the most strokes per round in major championships in 2023, picking up 2.6 shots on the field with her performances in those five tournaments. Her ball striking can be credited with that major success as she ranked first in strokes gained ball striking (+1.79), third in strokes gained approach (1.41) and fifth in greens in regulation (71.1%) per round in majors last year, making Corpuz a player to keep an eye on at this week’s Chevron Championship.

Like her groupmates, Ruoning Yin won her first major title in 2023, victoriously emerging from a crowded leaderboard at Baltusrol Golf Club’s Lower Course to capture the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, her second Tour title in just under three months. That performance is something she’ll hope to copy and paste as she readies herself for this week’s Chevron Championship at The Club at Carlton Woods, an event in which Yin recorded a ho-hum T41 finish last year, a benchmark she’s excited to better in 2024. The key to that improvement will be her performance with the flat stick as Yin lost two-tenths of a stroke to the field with her putting in the major championships in 2023, a devastating statistical blow considering she gained over a stroke with her ball striking in those five events last season. This is Yin’s second start in The Chevron Championship and is her eighth event of the 2024 LPGA Tour season, a year that’s seen a ton of consistency from the 21-year-old as she has recorded five T26 or better results thus far, the best of which is a tie for eighth at the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship.

Thursday, 1:10 p.m.* – Nelly Korda/Minjee Lee/Lilia Vu

Nelly Korda will be working to pick up her fifth straight victory this week at The Chevron Championship having won in her last four starts on the LPGA Tour. After finishing T16 at the season-opening Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, Korda collected her ninth Tour title at the LPGA Drive On Championship at Bradenton Country Club, defeating Lydia Ko in a two-hole playoff to win in her hometown of Bradenton, Fla. She took a seven-week break right after and then continued her winning ways with another playoff victory at the FIR HILLS SERI PAK Championship, this time beating Ryann O’Toole in extra holes at Palos Verdes Golf Club to reach double-digit victories on the LPGA Tour. Korda won again the next week at the Ford Championship presented by KCC in regulation with a four-day total of 20-under, backing that up with another victory at the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards the very next week, one that saw her beat Leona Maguire 4 and 3 in the championship match at Shadow Creek. Korda is the first player since Annika Sorenstam in 2005 to enter a major championship off four straight victories, according to KPMG Performance Insights, and her recent strength of play can be attributed to her impeccable ball striking this season. She is currently ranked first in strokes gained tee to green on the LPGA Tour, picking up 2.19 shots on the field with her long game, a nearly nine-tenths of a stroke improvement from last year. Korda also leads the Tour in strokes gained total (+2.76), percentage of rounds in the 60s and par-4 scoring, and will be looking to use that combination of statistics to become the first American to win five tournaments in a row since Nancy Lopez in 1978. Her chances seem quite good as Korda has finished in the top five at The Chevron Championship in her last three appearances, tying for second in 2020, tying for third in 2021 and finishing solo third last year at The Club at Carlton Woods.

After collecting two victories in her last four starts of the 2023 season, Minjee Lee has gotten off to a quiet start thus far in 2024. She has earned just two top-15 results in four tournaments this season, tying for fourth at the Blue Bay LPGA and then tying for 15th at the T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards. But statistically, the Australian is in form, currently ranking in the top 20 in both strokes gained total (20, +1.11) and strokes gained approach (2, +1.43), according to KPMG Performance Insights. Lee has 10 LPGA Tour victories to her credit, two of which are major championships, as she won The Amundi Evian Championship in 2021 and the U.S. Women’s Open at Pine Needles in 2022. This week marks her 11th career start in The Chevron Championship and her 10th since becoming an LPGA Tour member in 2015. She has earned three top-12 finishes in this event, tying for third in 2017, tying for seventh in 2020 and finishing 12th in 2022, all at the old tournament venue, Mission Hills Country Club. Lee tied for 41st at The Club at Carlton Woods last season, carding rounds of 70-75-77-69, a performance she’ll definitely be working to improve upon this year as she tries to chase down a third major victory.

Lilia Vu became a first-time major winner at the 2023 Chevron Championship after defeating Angel Yin in a playoff at The Club at Carlton Woods and is looking to successfully defend a title for the first time in her LPGA Tour career this week in The Woodlands, Texas. It’s been a mixed bag of results for the 26-year-old so far in 2024, as she has earned two top-20 finishes at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions (18) and the Honda LPGA Thailand (T7) and then had two withdrawals at the HSBC Women's World Championship and Blue Bay LPGA during the LPGA Tour’s spring Asian swing. According to KPMG Performance Insights, Vu was in much better form entering The Chevron Championship last season than she is this season – she was fifth in strokes gained total in 2023 compared to 28th in the same metric in 2024 – but the California native isn’t too worried about what her game looks like on paper. She’s instead trying to treat this week like just any other tournament and is hoping to keep expectations low as she works to recreate the magic she found in 2023 in her second title defense of the 2024 season.

Tune in to watch as the LPGA Tour tees it up for their first major championship of the 2024 season.  The Club at Carlton Woods plays host to The Chevron Championship. The 132-player field, highlighted by 10 of the top 10 in the Rolex Women’s World Rankings, will compete for a $7.9 million purse. 

La fédération anglaise annonce la fin des matches retours en FA Cup

Dans un communiqué, la Football Association (FA) a acté ce jeudi la disparition des « replays » lors des matches de FA Cup, pour les six prochaines années.

La plus ancienne des compétitions de clubs fait peau neuve. Dans un communiqué publié ce jeudi, la Football Association (FA, organisatrice de la compétition) a annoncé mettre fin, dès la saison prochaine, aux ancestraux « replays », ces matches rejoués quand le score de la première rencontre se soldait sur un score nul.

Créée en 1871, la FA Cup a progressivement allégé son format pour tenir compte d'un calendrier international de plus en plus conséquent. C'est pour cette raison que les « replays » n'existeront plus, et ce pour les six prochaines saisons, au moins. Jusque-là, ils avaient disparu à partir du cinquième tour.

Longtemps objet de discussions en Angleterre, la décision est désormais entérinée mais ne devrait pas être du goût de tout le monde. Les clubs moins huppés pouvaient profiter de ces matches retours, quand ils se jouaient contre des clubs plus prestigieux, pour engranger de nouvelles recettes de billetterie, bénéficier d'un attrait médiatique particulier et rêver, pourquoi pas, de l'exploit à domicile.

Pour compenser ce manque à gagner, la Premier League injecte 33 millions de livres supplémentaires par saison aux 100 millions déjà versés, à partir de 2025-2026.

Lancement de la Premier League mi-août

La FA annonce aussi que tous les tours auront lieu le week-end. À partir du quatrième tour, et jusqu'aux quarts de finale, il n'y aura pas de match de Premier League le jour d'une rencontre de FA Cup. Autre nouveauté : la finale se jouera le week-end avant la fin de la Premier League.

Cette réforme prévoit aussi de modifier le programme de la Premier League : «  La pause de mi-saison est supprimée du calendrier pour permettre une date de début de la Premier League à la mi-août. Cette pause estivale plus longue permet à tous les clubs de Premier League de mieux garantir que les joueurs bénéficient d'une pause consécutive de trois semaines au cours de l'été . »
