Aerosmith Announces Rescheduled Peace Out Farewell Tour Dates
Aerosmith has announced the rescheduled dates for their Peace Out farewell tour.
The band initially launched the tour on Sept. 2, 2023 in Philadelphia, but were forced off the road after just three shows when singer Steven Tyler suffered damage to his vocal cords.
Except for opening night, the Black Crowes will once again serve as the support act for the tour, which kicks off Sept. 20 in Pittsburgh and is scheduled to conclude on Jan. 26 in Buffalo. You can see a complete list of dates below. Teddy Swims will serve as the opening act on Sept. 20.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for all rescheduled shows. Tickets for newly added shows and the remaining tickets for the rescheduled shows will go on sale Friday, April 12 at 10AM local time.
When originally announcing the tour, Aerosmith revealed that drummer Joey Kramer would not be participating. John Douglas took his place at the band's 2023 Peace Out shows. "While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health," the group explained. "Joey's unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed."

Aerosmith Announce 2024-2025 North American Farewell Tour
The Black Crowes will support the rescheduled "Peace Out" tour
Aerosmith have unveiled the dates for their rescheduled North American farewell tour, taking place from September 2024 through February 2025. As was the case with the original itinerary, the “Peace Out” tour will feature support from The Black Crowes .
The legendary rock act had kicked off the tour in September 2023, but the outing only lasted three shows before singer Steven Tyler experienced a serious vocal injury. The band was forced to postpone the remaining dates indefinitely.

Now, Aerosmith have announced that the rescheduled tour will launch September 20th in Pittsburgh, and run through a February 26th show in Buffalo, New York. Along the way, they’ll play Los Angeles on December 7th; a hometown New Year’s Eve show in Boston on December 31st; and New York City’s Madison Square Garden on February 23rd, among dozens of other cities.
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled shows, while tickets for the new dates go on sale Friday (April 12th) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster .
Fans can also check for deals or pick up tickets to sold-out Aerosmith shows via StubHub , where your purchase is 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
The kickoff show in Pittsburgh on September 20th and the next one in Philadelphia on September 23rd are being made up despite those being two of the cities Aerosmith did get to play in 2023, perhaps acknowledging that Tyler’s voice wasn’t up to par at those concerts.
When the tour originally launched last September, Aerosmith featured a lineup of original members Tyler, guitarists Joe Perry and Brad Whitford, and bassist Tom Hamilton, along with drummer John Douglas (who’s been filling in for Joey Kramer the past few years) and keyboardist Buck Johnson. While no announcement has been made, it is assumed that the same lineup will set out this coming September.
Tyler had recently been embroiled in a lawsuit alleging the sexual assault of a minor in the 1970s, but that suit was tossed out by a judge in February.
The Black Crowes, meanwhile, recently released Happiness Bastards , their first new album in 15 years. They will be on board for all of the dates except the kickoff show in Pittsburgh, where Teddy Swims will have the honor of opening for Aerosmith.

Moda center, portland, oregon.
Aerosmith are just about to put down their guitars, mics, and drums, but before they do, they're giving it one last blast on an extensive North American trek that will take them into 2024. The Peace Out Tour is going to be one helluva ride as the band celebrates over five decades of hitmaking, and they will be making a stop at the Moda Center on Saturday, November 25, 2023. Known for their wild stage presence and high-energy performances, fans can expect nothing less than an unforgettable experience as they bid farewell to one of the most iconic rock bands of all time. Joining them will be special guests, The Black Crowes, and each one on their own has the ability to draw huge crowds, but combined, tickets will sell out extremely quickly. You must purchase yours right here and now before it is too late. Click the "GET TICKETS" button and secure your spot so you don't miss out.
In 1970, a little known rock band formed in Boston whose influence on music would be so significant that they would eventually dominate the genre. Their musical style is heavily grounded in blues and hard rock but also has a lot of elements of glam and heavy metal.
Commonly called "America's Greatest Rock and Roll Band" or "the Bad Boys from Boston," their beginnings started with Joe Perry and Tom Hamilton, who created a band called "the Jam Band." Later, they would meet up with Tyler, Kramer, and Ray and form the band Aerosmith in 1970. They would have to wait for another five years before they would see commercial success.
Lots of hard work, a resolute touring schedule, and their third album, "Toys in the Attic," would propel them into the stratosphere. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame actually lists "Toys in the Attic" as one of the 500 songs that shaped rock and roll, alongside "Walk this Way" and "Dream On." The album is also regarded as one of the greatest rock and roll albums of all time. With time, they created more and more hit albums, such as 1976's "Rocks," 1977's "Draw the Line," 1979's "Night in the Ruts," and 1982's "Rock in a Hard Place."
While the 80s were a difficult time for the band, they managed to get back into the spotlight and stay there, and by 1993 they had released their eleventh album, "Get a Grip," and carried on releasing albums right up until 2012. All told, they have created fifteen studio albums.
Not only have they been involved in the music industry, but they have also made appearances in films and videogames. They have appeared in Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Simpsons, and Be Cool. Aerosmith have also had their own videogames, such as Revolution X, Quest for Fame, and Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
They have toured extensively too, having completed forty-two tours, and now on their forty-third and final tour, they're pulling out all the stops to make sure it is an incredible event worthy of their name. They're also bringing along special guests, The Black Crowes, with them.
It's going to be a fantastic event, and fans of rock are already licking their lips with excitement. Expect tickets to sell out very quickly, so grab yours right here and now before it is too late.

About Aerosmith
Celebrating their 50th anniversary, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members Aerosmith have sold more than 150 million albums around the world, produced genre-defining music videos such as “Amazing,” “Crazy,” “Janie’s Got A Gun,” “Livin’ On The Edge,” and “Love In An Elevator,” and launched extravagant record-shattering global tours, most recently with their smash hit Las Vegas residency. The band has broken numerous boundaries, including becoming the first rock band with a massive commercially successful hip-hop collaboration with Run DMC on “Walk This Way” and the first hard rock band to appear during a Super Bowl Halftime Show with their 2001 performance, and in 1999, Aerosmith became the first band to have their own themed attraction at Disney World in Florida and later Paris with the launch of the Rock ‘N’ Roller coaster starring Aerosmith. For more information, visit Aerosmith.com .
About The Black Crowes
In 1990, when journalists were lamenting the death of rock, as cheesy pop and hair metal dominated the charts, Atlanta’s Black Crowes gave the genre a swift and much needed kick in the ass with Shake Your Money Maker . Fueled by singles “Jealous Again,” “Twice As Hard,” “She Talks To Angels,” and the break-through cover of Otis Redding’s “Hard To Handle,” the band immediately took the rock world by storm, topping Rolling Stone’s “Best New American Band Readers Poll” in late 1990. The Black Crowes went on to release eight studio and four live albums, selling in the tens of millions along the way; they sold out shows around the world; had legendary guitarist Jimmy Page join as a member; got kicked off a tour with ZZ Top for insulting the sponsor; got screwed by bad record deals; got married and divorced, fought amongst themselves and against the rest of the world. In other words, they’ve done everything a legendary rock group should do

Aerosmith: PEACE OUT The Farewell Tour
With more than half a century as a band behind them, bluesy hard-rock icons Aerosmith are heading out on one last tour. Don't miss your final chance to experience Steven Tyler's wailing vocals, quirky stage garb (seriously, these men love to accessorize ), and famous Honeycomb mouth (was I the only one scarred by this commercial as a child?) while screaming along to classic rock anthems like "Dream On," "Walk This Way," and "Roam." In a joint statement, the band shared: “It’s not goodbye it’s PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives.”

Aerosmith reschedules Peace Out farewell tour: Dates for 3 Florida shows, how to get tickets
Florida Aerosmith fans will wait just a bit longer to finally say peace out to the iconic rock band.
The rockers, who postponed their Peace Out farewell tour after only a few shows in September, will return for a 40-date run starting Sept. 20 of this year.
Three Florida shows are included in this new schedule, all seeing dates in the early half of 2025. As with the original dates, The Black Crowes will open for Aerosmith.
When are the new Florida dates for Aerosmith's 'Peace Out' farewell tour? They also added an extra city
The new dates for the Florida shows are:
- Friday, Feb. 14 - Tampa, Amelie Arena
- Monday, Feb. 17 - Sunrise, Amerant Bank Arena
In addition to rescheduling the tour, the band added three cities: Pittsburgh, Orlando and Philadelphia, where their tour kicked off last September.
The Orlando date is Tuesday, Feb. 11 at the Kia Arena, recently renamed from the Amway Center.
Why did Aerosmith have to postpone 2023 tour dates? What happened to Steven Tyler?
On Sept. 12, Tyler initially announced that he had a severe vocal injury that occurred during Aerosmith's Saturday show in Long Island, New York.
“I’m heartbroken to say I have received strict doctor’s orders not to sing for the next thirty days,” Tyler, 75, said in a statement released by the band on Monday. “I sustained vocal cord damage during Saturday’s show that led to subsequent bleeding. We’ll need to postpone a few dates so that we can come back and give you the performance you deserve.
However, the band shared in a statement two weeks later that said “Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought. His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care.”
They shared the rock icon was receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but "given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential.”
I bought tickets to Aerosmith's 2023 shows. Will my tickets be honored?
All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new dates, while tickets for the new shows will go on sale at 10 a.m. local time April 12 via ticketmaster.com .
For those who previously purchased tickets and cannot attend the rescheduled concerts, refunds will be available at point of purchase. A series of VIP packages are also available at aerosmith.com/VIP.
What songs can fans expect to hear at Aerosmith’s farewell shows?
USA TODAY attended the opening show in Philadelphia last year. While there could be changes to the set list, here's what it looked like prior to the postponement:
- "Back in the Saddle"
- "Love in an Elevator"
- "Janie's Got a Gun"
- "Adam's Apple"
- "Livin' on the Edge"
- "No More No More"
- "Hangman Jury"
- "Seasons of Wither"
- "Movin' Out"
- "Stop Messin' Around"
- "Rats in the Cellar"
- "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing"
- "Sweet Emotion"
- "Toys in the Attic"
- "Walk This Way"
Are all original Aerosmith members on tour?
Original drummer Joey Kramer will be sitting out the band's final tour. John Douglas, Aerosmith's former drum tech, is filling Kramer's seat.
“While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed,” the band said in a statement.
However, fans can look forward to Tyler's yowl and his fellow Toxic Twin, Joe Perry, on the guitar. Brad Whitford and Tom Hamilton remain on guitar and bass.

Aerosmith is saying 'peace out' after 50 years on 40-date final tour without Joey Kramer
Time to "Get a Grip." Aerosmith is saying goodbye to the road.
The Beantown rockers will spend their 50th anniversary circling North America with a final Peace Out run of 40 dates, starting Sept. 2 in Philadelphia and wrapping next year on Jan. 26 in Montreal.
They'll play a last sayonara to their Boston hometown on New Year’s Eve amid other shows set for arenas in Chicago, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Seattle, Los Angeles, Phoenix, Nashville, New York and other cities.
The Black Crowes will join Aerosmith for the full slate of concerts, which will celebrate the band’s five decades of music.
Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. local time on May 5 via ticketmaster.com. Several VIP packages including premium seating and a photo op with the band will also be available.
To mark the occasion, the venerable rock gods created a playful dig at some of their peers who have made announcements of a final tour an Olympic sport with a “breaking news” farewell YouTube video featuring Eminem, Slash, Dolly Parton, Bill Burr, Ringo Starr and other entertainment stars expressing their disbelief that this really is farewell.
At the end of the clip, inimitable frontman Steven Tyler peers into the camera and pronounces, “And if you think we’re joking … dream on.”
The elastic-limbed Tyler will be joined by fellow Toxic Twin Joe Perry on guitar, as well as bassist Tom Hamilton and guitarist Brad Whitford. Drummer Joey Kramer, who sat out Aerosmith’s recent round of Deuces Are Wild residency shows in Las Vegas, is also opting to skip this last goodbye.
Last year, Aerosmith postponed its Las Vegas shows when Tyler, who turned 75 in March, voluntarily checked himself into rehab in May after a drug relapse. The singer has also been the topic of a sexual assault lawsuit from a relationship with a 16-year-old girl in the 1970s. Tyler has denied the accusations.
Over Aerosmith’s 50-year career, the band rollicked through grimy blues-dusted rock with “Same Old Song and Dance,” “Sweet Emotion” and definitive power ballad “Dream On” in their first decade; the ‘80s watched them literally knock down the wall between rock and rap in a pioneering remake of “Walk This Way” with Run-D.M.C., followed by a slew of MTV hits (“Angel,” “Rag Doll,” “Love in an Elevator,” “Janie’s Got a Gun”); while the ‘90s maintained their resurgent popularity with “Livin’ on the Edge,” “Cryin’” and the polarizing Diane Warren-written mega-ballad, “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.”
Aerosmith entered this century with a continued presence on rock radio (“Jaded,” “Just Push Play,” “Legendary Child”), while retaining their status as one of rock ‘n’ roll’s premiere live acts.

Aerosmith relaunches Peace Out farewell tour, will play Detroit in January
Aerosmith's rebooted farewell tour will bring the iconic rock band to Little Caesars Arena on Jan. 4 for its final Detroit concert.
The Black Crowes remain aboard to open the show, just as they were when the tour was initially announced in May 2023.
Eighteen months after front man Steven Tyler suffered a vocal injury that derailed the band’s much-hyped goodbye outing, Aerosmith has announced its return to the road, starting with a Sept. 20 show in Pittsburgh and wrapping with a Feb. 26 show in Buffalo.
Aerosmith's Jan. 4 show in Detroit will follow the band's New Year's Eve concert in Boston, where Tyler, guitarist Joe Perry and company formed in 1970 before going on to rise up the rock ranks with a gritty and bluesy sound that produced hits such as “Walk This Way,” “Dream On” and “Sweet Emotion.”
The LCA show, originally scheduled for Sept. 18, 2023, was shifted to January 2024 when Tyler sustained vocal damage early in the tour. Weeks later, the entire farewell run was delayed indefinitely when the singer was diagnosed with a more serious fractured larynx.
Fans who held on to tickets for that original Detroit date are good to go. Any open seats will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Ticketmaster.

Aerosmith announced that they would be postponing their tour on Friday, Sept. 29 with a statement on Instagram , citing frontman Steven Tyler 's recovery from a newly discovered fractured larynx. The news came just two weeks after the "Dream On" group announced that the frontman “sustained vocal cord damage” and that they would need to reschedule six of their September concerts.
Aerosmith's current lineup of original members Brad Whitford , Joe Perry , Tom Hamilton and Tyler, as well as new drummer John Douglas, opened up about the singer’s condition in a post dedicated to their fans.
“Unfortunately, Steven’s vocal injury is more serious than initially thought,” the band wrote. “His doctor has confirmed that in addition to the damage to his vocal cords, he fractured his larynx which requires ongoing care.”
The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers added, “He is receiving the best medical treatment available to ensure his recovery is swift, but given the nature of a fracture, he is being told patience is essential.”
Tyler, 76, also said he was“heartbroken” by the change of plans for the group and their openers, The Black Crowes.
He added, “I am heartbroken to not be out there with Aerosmith, my brothers and the incredible Black Crowes, rocking with the best fans in the world. I promise we will be back as soon as we can!”
