I planned this trip for my in-laws 64th wedding anniversary and we were staying at The Mayors Mansion where I opted for the Silver package which included the Riverboat Cruise and 2 Charcuterie Boards. We showed the Captain our ticket, and was told the staff inside would take us to our table. Once inside, there wasn’t a staff member to be seen, so not knowing exactly what to do, we followed the crowd up 2 flights of stairs. On the top deck, we found a table and there was a gentleman playing guitar and singing, whom was pretty good. We waited and saw other guests were bringing buckets of wine or beer to their table, so we were trying to understand where our charcuterie boards were we went to the snack bar on the top deck. The lady said she wasn’t able to give or sell anything until the Captain gave his announcements. So we went back to our table and waited. After the Captain gave his announcements, we went back to the snack bar where I inquired about our Charcuterie Boards and showed her our ticket. The former lady that I had spoken to took out 4 black styrofoam containers and I asked if she was putting our Charcuterie Boards into styrofoam? She looked puzzled and the other Lady working the counter spoke up and told us we were supposed to be on the bottom deck. So we all got up and went down two flights of stairs again (my in-laws are in their mid-80’s and stairs are not their friend), to the lower deck. Upon arrival, we asked the bartender where we were supposed to sit showing our ticket and she finally showed us our table where two Charcuterie Boards were sitting on a white linen tablecloth with linen napkins. She turned around and went back to the bar, so again I got up and went to the bar to order a bottle of wine and beers. She told me she would bring them to the table. So I went back to the table, where she finally came with a silver bucket with wine and two beers. She gave me the bill to pay immediately while she was standing there so I asked if she had two wine glasses she didn’t reply just handed me the machine to pay for the items and then commented that she would get us two wine glasses. She did eventually return with the two wineglasses saying the glasses were included and then we didn’t see her anymore. We drank our drinks and ate from the Charcuterie boards, finally we were able to enjoy our Riverboat ride. We did walk out on the back deck and enjoyed the water and views. I guess it was not exactly what I was expecting but for sure we were not impressed. Read more Written April 28, 2024
  • nyla8902lara 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Awesome addition to our trip! This boat ride was awesome and better than we expected it to be. We had to downsize to the smaller boat which was no problem and we got a free charcuterie board which made it even better. Our captain and the other guy with him was super friendly. Thank you for the experience! Read more Written April 19, 2024
  • 762marceem 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great cruise awesome relaxing vibes Everything about this event was great. The weather was a skyblue, 60 degrees, light wind day for the sunset 6:00 cruise on 3/23/24. The vibe was so relaxing. They sell beverages of all types and some snacks. As soon as they let us board at 5:30, we went to the 3rd deck and grabbed 3 seats on the back center of the boat. It was chilly but we had jackets and that was enough to keep us warm the entire trip. We left at 6:00 and arrived back just before 7:30, so the sun was up for the duration of the cruise and that probably makes a big difference on the temperature. A lot of people stayed inside, but we liked the wind and views from the back of the boat. The live music/guitarist vocal inside was playing on the second deck, but the sound was piped to the outside so we could hear it at a nice volume and still talk the entire trip. It was not crowded this day, and I felt like we had abundant space to ourselves. It really was a nice relaxing event. I would 10/10 do this again. Weather makes a big difference, I am sure. We had a great time! With regard to departure, some tips: the boat you are riding on, is the one behind the floating "store" that looks like a boat, that is docked on the riverfront. You check in with the cashiers there and they trade out your reservation receipt for boarding tokens. Then at 5:30 you can board the boat that actually makes the journey and it is situated behind the larger boat store. Unless you are looking to souvenir shop, there really is no reason to board/arrive until about 5:20. Read more Written March 25, 2024
  • mcaroberts 0 contributions 2.0 of 5 bubbles Money Grab The food is ok but for the price I expected better. Tased muck like cafeteria food. The staff was not great with one exception, one guys runs around like crazy because no one else is doing anything but stirring at there phone. The live band wasn't bad. Cost an extra (which i bought) $100 per couple to get your food first and hot and to get a windows seat, you also get some meat and chesses when you first sit down and a bottle of $12 wine. I did a similar curse in Knoxville that blows this out of the water and is cheaper. Read more Written February 20, 2024

  • Sightseer751911 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Very Disappointed in the New Years Cruise Given the price for the New Years Eve Cruise, $398 (including taxes, 2 people) I was certain this would include dinner. It did not. We received a charcuterie board, which I did enjoy, and 2 bottles of inexpensive champagne. On a daily basis, a dinner cruise costs $59/person. Why would I not expect this to be any different…given the cost. I won’t do this event again. Read more Written January 2, 2024

  • PaulR9T 0 contributions 3.0 of 5 bubbles Less than Gold I wanted to have a special night for my second anniversary. I took my wife on a trip to Chattanooga. The River Boat was our last stop of the day. I ordered the gold package with wine charcuterie and souvenir glasses. Our wine wasn't brought to our table. The hostess, as she was telling us it was our turn at the buffet, recommended that we go to the bar and ask for it. I figured that was a job for the staff not the customer. But not wanting to have my wife wait I went to the bar to ask about our wine. I was required to produce a form that should have been on the table we were seated at. I didn't have the form nor was it on the table. The cruise director said just give it to them, which kind of made me feel like they thought I was trying to cheat them. I took our wine and glasses back to the table. Never received a charcuterie tray, although after an hour or so I did notice an empty table with wine glasses and charcuterie sitting at it. Most likely we were seated at the wrong table, or possibly the Gold was left at the wrong table. The numbers on neighbors tickets seemed to indicate we were in the assigned seat. The band played well, the cruise was as expected. My wife had bigger smiles from antiquing on the way to the boat. Read more Written December 26, 2023
  • 65panther 0 contributions 2.0 of 5 bubbles A Big Disappointment! A big disappointment - really thought a one is more appropriate but trying to be nice at Christmas. Which is part of the disappointment - billed as a Christmas cruise. A duo tried but not too much Christmas music. Very disorganized- from the late loading. (More time to buy “stuff” in the gift shop?) continued - the no organization - to the purchasing of drinks. One bar tender for lots of folks. Poor Christmas decorations. All above pales when co,pared to a very bad meal. Maybe was roast beef. Couldn’t cut it more less eat it. Stringy green beans. Cold mashed potatoes - warmth would not have helped. Skimpy salad. No choice on dessert - was at table already. Take it or leave it! As was water. No choice of tea, soda or coffee. That we were made aware of! Went and got our own - tea at least. Sweet only! I’ll stop. Just was not a good experience and especially when compared to several others we had taken in other cities. Sorry but we don’t recommend! Read more Written December 23, 2023

No table service other than to bring a small piece of cheesecake. Had to go to the bar to get iced tea. For a Christmas Carol dinner cruise the music was very disappointing. Maybe 5 or 6 rock ‘n roll versions of Christmas songs the entire time. The chicken and rolls were good and the Santa was nice’ Definitely not worth the $60 per person we paid. Food was so nasty and not filling that we had to get another meal from elsewhere on our way back to our condo. We recently embarked on a Chattanooga Duck Boat Tour , and it was an unforgettable experience! These WWII-era Duck Boats offer a unique way to discover the city while cruising both on land and water.

We have four boys and my parents always took a special trip with each one when he turned five. The three of them always headed to the Tennessee Aquarium and the did a Duck boat ride. All of my boys have such fond memories of the Chattanooga Ducks… except the youngest, who gets his turn this year!

The tour starts with exploring the streets of Chattanooga before entering the Tennessee River. Aboard the amphibious vehicle, we got the chance to see the city’s landmarks from a whole new perspective. The Duck Boat glides effortlessly from land to water, making it an exciting adventure for all ages.

Planning Tips for Your Boat Tour

Research and select the right tour.

When planning a boat tour in Chattanooga, it’s essential for us to research different options and choose the most suitable one. Several tour companies and cruising options are available, such as the Southern Belle Riverboat for picturesque sightseeing cruises and Chattanooga Boat Charters for customizable experiences. We should look up the reviews and decide which tour aligns best with our interests and preferences.

Pack Essential Items

To ensure we have an enjoyable and comfortable boat tour, let’s make sure we pack the right essentials. Here’s a list of items we recommend bringing along:

  • Sunscreen to protect from sunburn
  • Sunglasses and a hat for added sun protection
  • Comfortable clothing and footwear
  • A water bottle to stay hydrated
  • A lightweight jacket or sweater for cooler weather
  • A camera or smartphone for capturing memories

Consider Timing and Weather Conditions

Before booking our tour, it’s crucial to consider the timing and weather conditions to maximize our experience on the water. Checking the weather forecast will help us choose an ideal day for a boat tour. When scheduling our tour, we should opt for a time of day that provides the best views, which might be early morning or late afternoon.

Additionally, we should be aware of the tour duration, which can range from brief 1.5-hour excursions like the Southern Belle’s sightseeing cruises to longer journeys up the Tennessee River Gorge, like a full day whitewater rafting trip up the Ocoee.

Remembering these planning tips will help ensure our Chattanooga boat tour is enjoyable and memorable, while making the most of the beautiful scenery and experiences the city has to offer.

During the summer months, on the stations of Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya lines the subscribers have downloaded 125 TByte of internet-traffic, have made over 2 million calls with the total duration of 27 thousand hours, which equals to 3 years.
