Day 1  :  Arrival Mumbai

As you arrive at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport or Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station, meet with our Mahabaleshwar tour representative and transfer to the hotel to rest. Late evening, enjoy nice dinner and stay overnight in Mumbai.

Day 2  :  The City Mumbai

Mahabaleshwar offers an appealing view of the evergreen valleys and hills of the Konkan and the Deccan coast. Amidst the thick forests, there is a picturesque plateau where several hit films have been pasteurized. Tourist Attractions in Mahabaleshwar

A beautiful and scenic lake in Mahabaleshwar, the entire area is surrounded with tall trees and grass, creating heaven like beauty. This lake was built in 1942 by Shri Appasaheb Maharaj, ruler of Satara and also a descendent of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Venna is spread over an area of 28 acres and has Chhatrapati Pratap Singh Garden on its banks.

Wilson Point

Popularly known as the 'Sunrise Point' , it is the highest point. Situated above 4710 ft above sea level, Wilson Point is a vast plateau. Three masonry round platforms are there to see the beautiful views of the sunrise.

Connaught Peak

Second highest peak of Mahabaleshwar, the peak was named after the Duke of Connaught who visited here. It was earlier called Mount Olympia. People climb a height of 1400 mtrs to enjoy a bird eye view of Pratapgarh Fort, Venna Lake and the picturesque Krishna Valley . Nearby places that can be seen from here are Helen?s Point , Ram Mandir, Krishnabhai Temple, Falkland Point, Old Mahabaleshwar Temple , Wilson Point (Sunrise Point) and Dhobi Waterfall.

Elphinstone Point

Discovered in 1830, it was named after Sir Elephinston, the Governor of Bombay . Tourists visiting the place can have the opportunity to see a clear view of the famous Pratapgarh from here . Well, one can also see the gorgeous two valleys, the Savitri on the right and the Koyna on the left.

Arthur's Seat

It is said to be the queen of all points , offering ample opportunities to see the barren deep valleys on both sides. Arthur's seat is the only place, displaying geographical distinction of Kokan & Desh (Deccan), two territories of Mahabaleshwar. From southern side, it also looks like an elephants head. Nearby, there is also an echo point.

Baghdad Point

It is an impressive point, which goes past village Moleshware on the way. You can view the beautiful views of the backwaters of Koyna dam on your left side, whereas river Solshi is in front of you with small villages. On your right side, you can see the vast green slopes of M'war plateau.

Lord Mahabaleshwar Temple

Situated in old city, this ancient temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva . It was raised by the Chanda Rao More dynasty during the 16th century . It holds great significance among Hindu devotees who worship a divine Shivalinga and a sacred pond here.

Pratapgarh Fort

The fort is perfect to experience the history of Maratha Empire. This is the place where Chattrapati Shivaji Maharaj killed Afzal Khan . Situated 24 km west of Mahabaleshwar, the fort is 900 m above sea level and appears like a round-topped hill. Built in 1656, it is a maze of chambers, ponds and dark paths.

Best of Maharashtra Hill Station Tour

If you are looking for a rejuvenating holiday amidst the rich green hills and silent lakes, a short trip from Mumbai is all you need. The twin beauty Lonavala and Khandala are popular destinations for city escapes. These two grasslands are the most preferred getaway venues and loved by all travellers and even locals. These jewels located in the Western Ghats are distanced about 64 km from the city of Pune and 96 km from the city Mumbai.

Lonavala and Khandala have great landmarks of tourist’s interests from lakes to caves. Tugauli, Pauna and Bhushi are three beautiful lakes worth visiting and explore the fascinating Karla caves located about 10 km from Lonavala. Other major sightings that can be found are the famous Buddhist Stupa at the Karla caves which are believed to be 2,200 years old.

Arrival Mumbai

On arrival at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport or Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station, you can head for your hotel to relax. After lunch, you can proceed for a half city sightseeing tour which includes a tour of the Mumbai beaches covering Marine drive, Juhu beach, Chaupati beach and Crawford market. Return after the expedition and enjoy your dinner and rest at the selected hotel.

Lonavala - Khandala - Karla– Lonavala

Leave your hotel after heavy breakfast for a full day expedition. Drive to Khandala via national highway 48 that will take up to 8 to 14 minutes. Since Lonavala, Khandala is located in the Sahyadri Mountain ranges you can sight see Bhushi Dam, Valvan Dam, Duke’s Nose, Ryewood Park, and Tiger’s leap.

Head to Karla crossing Lonavala via the same route, the journey may take 28 minutes. Witness the ruins of Karla caves and the Buddhist Temple. These rock-cut caves are ranked amongst the oldest examples of Buddhist temple art in India. Return to Lonavala and enjoy warm dinner and rest in the hotel.

Lonavala - Pune –Mahabaleshwar (200 km)

Early morning after breakfast drive to Mahabaleshwar en-route Pune. In this 65.1 km drive to Pune you can cover - Aga Khan Palace, Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Ashram of Osho, Lal Mahal (Palace), Parvati Hill and Temple, Raj Bhavan,Shaniwar Wada, Shindyanchi Chhatri.

After short sight see you can continue towards Mahabaleshwar. On arrival at Mahabaleshwar, you can check in the hotel and rest.
