There are four Oceania beverage packages, including drinks by the glass packages and bottles of wine beverage packages.

In this article

  • About the Oceania beverage packages and drinks options
  • House Select package – US$39.95 per person per day
  • Prestige Select package – US$69.95 per person per day
  • House Select Upgrade – US$30 per person per day
  • Wine By The Bottle package – from US$332.50
  • Wine With Lunch – US$7.50 per glass + gratuity
  • Happy hours

This guide to the Oceania beverage packages explains the various drinks options on board. Indeed, there are different Oceania drinks packages available so it is important to know what’s included when choosing the package that is right for you. In addition, there is also the option of paying per beverage.

The Oceania drinks packages can be good value, especially when you consider alcoholic beverages may not always be included in the price of your Oceania Cruises fare. There are four Oceania beverage packages:

  • House Select package.
  • Prestige Select package.
  • House Select Upgrade.
  • Wine By The Bottle package.

The House Select and Prestige Select packages offer drinks by the glass, while the other lets you choose from a selection of bottled wine.

In addition, there is also a daily Wine With Lunch promotion as well as two happy hours.

House Select package – US$39.95 per person per day

The House Select beverage package is the least expensive. It offers champagne, wine and beer by-the-glass, but only during lunch and dinner at dining venues (including in-room dining).

The price of the House Select package includes gratuities.

It is important to note that only your drinks are covered by this drinks package. In other words, you can’t order drinks for a friend using this package.

Prestige Select package – US$69.95 per person per day

The Prestige Select package is the premium Oceania drinks package. With it you can order whatever you like, including top-shelf spirits, cocktails, champagne, wine and beer. You can order these by-the-glass from any bar, restaurant or with in-room dining during bar operating hours.

The Prestige Select Oceania beverage package has recently increased in price by US$10 per person per day, but nonetheless it still represents good value for money. The package also includes gratuities.

It is important to note that only your drinks are covered by this drinks package.

House Select Upgrade – US$30 per person per day

If you have pre-purchased the House Select beverage package, or it is part of a cruise fare promotion like Simply More , you may upgrade to the Prestige Select package for an additional US$30 per person per day.

Wine By The Bottle package – from US$332.50

Oceania also have a wine by the bottle beverage package. A range of whites, reds, rosés and late-harvest wines are available.

At the time of writing almost all of these wines were new-world varieties. It’s worth noting that the champagne is a Brut Nicolasfeuillatte Rosé – a very nice drop.

All bottles are priced at US$47.50 each. The price includes gratuities. This drinks package must include at least seven bottles . It’s worth remembering that once ordered, you cannot add extra bottles to the package.

The bottles are not refundable, however you can take home any bottles that you do not drink on board.

Wine With Lunch – US$7.50 per glass + gratuity

Each day Oceania Cruises have a special Wine With Lunch promotion. This includes one white wine and one red wine offered at a reduced price. The daily Currents newsletter will advertise details of each wine.

The Wine With Lunch promotion is available in the Grand Dining Room, the Terrace Cafe and Waves Grill.

In addition to the Oceania beverage packages, there are two happy hours each day:

  • 5:00pm – 6:00pm in Horizons and Martinis
  • 10:30pm – 11:30pm in Horizons

During these Happy Hours guests can purchase two of the same drink for the price of one. However, the offer only applies to the standard Bar List. It excludes the Martini’s menu, as well as single malt scotches, OXs, the cocktail of the day and the wine of the day.

How does one find out what specific wines are included in the wine by the bottle package? How does a person who chooses that package access the bottles? Are they available only at one specific place and during specific hours? Can a husband and wife both access the same package?

oceania cruise wine list

Dear Richard

Thank you for your inquiry.

The wines offered in the Oceania Wine By The Bottle Package change seasonally. By way of example, here is a list of the wines offered on board Oceania Regatta in March this year. All bottles are priced at USD47.50 and seven bottles are requiered for the package.

You access any of the bottles you have selected by simply alerting the sommelier in any of the restaurants.

The Oceania Wine By The Bottle Package can be consumed by a husdand and wife together. i.e. you do not need to purchase a separate wine package for each.

I hope this helps.

Hi, if you have the house package can you upgrade to premium

Hi Karen Thanks for your question. It’s a good one. I’ve spoken to the good people at Oceania Cruises and you can upgrade prior to your sailing if you purchased in advance. You may also upgrade on embarkation day.

If you wish to upgrade some days into the cruise you may do so. You will be charged for the Prestige Select package as per the number of days remaining.

Hope this helps

I had the same questions. What happens if you don’t have all seven bottles? Can you take them home?

The good people at Oceania Cruises tell us that you can indeed take home any bottles you don’t consume on board.

oceania cruise wine list

They do not have any detailed information about the beverage packages online, even if you have made a paid reservation. I found out more here than on their website – hoping its all true onboard.

I’m glad you found our information so useful. We pride ourselves on the accuracy of our stories. Indeed, the details here have been comfirmed with Oceania Cruises.

The House Select Package.

It is unclear as to whether this package is only when one is at table enjoying lunch or dinner, or whether it includes pre dinner drinks. A number of our group have endeavoured to interpret the wording without success Please could you clarify?

Kind Regards, John. John.

Dear John The House Select Package includes unlimited champagne, wine and beer with your lunch and dinner meals. If you were to have a pre-dinner drink at the table it would be included. However, it is our understanding that it does not include drinks consumed in a bar outside the restaurant. Kid regards Jason Kerr Managing Editor

oceania cruise wine list

Can you have the wine in your cabin?

Hi Reginald

If you have the Prestige Package you can order drinks in your stateroom or suite through room service. If you have a Wine By The Bottle Package you can also consume these bottles in your room.

oceania cruise wine list

In addition: with prestige, you can order wine by the glass in your room. If, however, you call roomservice to bring, let’s say, a second or third round, they’re fast learning: the next day they’ll bring a bottle

oceania cruise wine list

Are non alcoholic drinks tea and coffees included in the cruise price with oceana?

Thank you for your question. Yes, non alcoholic drinks, tea and coffees are all included in the cruise fare on Oceania.

oceania cruise wine list

If you go off the radar, bring your own wine, and pay the corkage fee, can you drink it anywhere on the ship? If I pay the corkage fee in the dining room, can I take my bottle to the lounge?

Thank you for your question. It is my understanding that you can indeed take your bottle to the lounge after paying the corkage. Hope that helps.

oceania cruise wine list

The joy of a cruise to my elderly mother is be able to have a glass of champagne when ever she wants. That’s all she will drink. Is that feasible and if so how?

Dear Caroline

I would suggest your mother simply order champagne by-the-glass. Alternatively, she could purchase a drinks package but that may be a more expensive option. I hope this helps.

oceania cruise wine list

My wife would not make use of the prestige package so can I buy just one package or do you have to buy for everyone in the suite

Dear Konietzko

Thanks for your question. Yes, all adults in the same stateroom must purchase the Prestige Package.

Happy New Year Jason Kerr Managing editor

oceania cruise wine list

Trying to work out whether to upgrade to the premium package. Please can you give some idea as to the price of a G&T and a Margarita?

Thank you for your question. When I last sailed with Oceania Cruises in August 2019 the price of a Margarita was US$11.00. From memory a G&T was about the same. Indeed, most basic cocktails like Mai Tai, Aperol Spritz, Long Island Ice Tea, Tequila Sunrise and Manhattan range from US$11.00 to US$11.25. Hope this helps with your decision.

oceania cruise wine list

Hi, Does the house package include a drink in the bar before dinner?

Thanks for your question. The fine print says House Select beverages may only be conusmed in the dining venues.

oceania cruise wine list

Can you take a drink purchased in bar or restaurant back to your state room / suite?

Yes, you can take drinks back to your stateroom.

Regards Jason Kerr Managing Editor

oceania cruise wine list

Leaving on Cruise Feb 1 – the packages are not worth the money for me. do you know prices for beer per the bottle and wine by the glass ?? this is the route we will be taking for our drinks. By chance any picture of the drink menu?

In August 2019 the price of a Corona or Heiniken beer was US$7.50. A Budweiser costs US$6.50. Oceania have a selection of American, Australian, Argentinean and European wines. These range in price from US$10 to US$11.50 per glass.

Cocktails start from US$10.00

oceania cruise wine list

I understand that you can bring wine on board Do you know what the corkage fee is

Thank you for your question. If you consume the wine in your stateroom there is no corkage fee. However, if you drink it in a public area or dining venue the corkage fee is typically US$25.

oceania cruise wine list

Hi is bottled water included in the house beverage package? And is sparkling water included?

Thanks for your question. Oceania Cruises include both still and sparkling water in your cruise fare, as well as coffee and tea. There is no extra charge for any of these beverages regardless of whether or not you have a drinks package.

oceania cruise wine list

If we purchase the Prestige Select package, how are we identified as having the package? Do we wear wrist bands? Give our suite number each time?

Many thanks!

Thank you for your question – it’s a good one. There are no wrist bands, rather you are issued with a new room key card which indicates your beverage package. You give this to the server each time you order a drink.

Regards Jason Kerr Managing editor

Fabulous! Many thanks, Jason!

oceania cruise wine list

Oceania now allows each cabin to bring six bottles of wine on the ship when they board. But it is unclear whether one can also bring wine onboard when coming back from a port. Do you know whether this is possible? (By the way, this page is really informative and helpful — thanks)

** UPDATED 27 Feb 2020

Thank you for your question.

According to the onboard literature, guests can bring 6 bottles of wine per stateroom on board during the voyage, for consumption in your stateroom or suite. A corkage fee will apply.

Kind regards Jason Kerr Managing editor

oceania cruise wine list

Can I use the onboard spend allowance to upgrade between drinks packages?

Thanks for the question. According to Oceania Cruises you can now utilize shipboard credit prior to departure to purchase shore excursions, land tours, onboard beverage packages, culinary classes and dining experiences. I recommend consulting your travel advisor or Oceania Cruises for more information.

oceania cruise wine list

We are cruising in September 2020 with Oceania and have the basic drinks package with lunch and dinner included. We would like to upgrade to the premium package. Can you tell me how much this would be and can we buy before the cruise or once we are on board.

Thanks for your question. Yes, you can generally upgrade your beverage package. The House Select package costs US$39.95 per person per day, while the Prestige Select package is US$59.95 per person per day. I would recommend consulting your travel advisor or Oceania Cruises to find out the exact upgrade price.

oceania cruise wine list

do both adults in the cabin have to purchase the drink package? I might be interested in the House Select, but my cruising partner does not drink beer or wine, and doesn’t drink enough alcohol to really justify the Prestige Select package.

Thanks for asking your question. Yes, both guests in the same stateroom must purchase the beverage package. So it might be more cost effective to simply purchase your drinks by the glass.

oceania cruise wine list

We are cruising this summer, and are trying to figure out if the wines included in the Prestige package are worth the extra cost over the House package. I can’t find a list anywhere that shows the different wine offerings for the two packages – is this published anywhere? We generally drink California and Oregon U.S. wines and French Champagnes, ranging from $80 – $120 per bottle, but are open to trying new things.

Thanks for your question. The wines included in the House Select are generally the same as those offered in the Prestige package. The main difference is that the House Select package only lets you order at lunch and dinner, whereas the Prestige package lets you order at any time during bar hours. The wines on offer change semi-regularly depending on reprovisioning.

Also, the Prestige package offers premium spirits and cocktails (like those served from the Martini list in Martinis Bar).

oceania cruise wine list

Hi Jason, As I understand, the House Select Package is only for the dining experience. When on vacation we generally have hors d’oeuvres in one place and dinner in another place. Is it possible to have drinks and hors d’oeuvres in one restaurant and have dinner in another restaurant aboard ship?

That’s an interesting question. My understanding is that, yes, you could have drinks and hors d’oeuvres in one restaurant and dinner in another. Bare in mind that some dining venues do require reservations.

oceania cruise wine list

We are choosing a cruise that offers a beverage package as one of the O-life choices, the other choices are $1000 shipboard credit or 10 free excursions. If we choose the beverage package does that cover both my husband and myself for unlimited wine and beer during lunch and dinner or only one person?

Thank you for your inquiry. Generally speaking, if you book an Oceania cruise with O-life Choices the amenities are per stateroom. In other words, a beverage package amenity would cover all guests in that stateroom. However, I would advise you to confirm this with your travel advisor.

oceania cruise wine list

Jason I am planning a Oceania cruise and was reading the new 2020 beverage information. However I am perplexed. On Feb 6 you stated a guest can bring 6 bottles of wine on board for room consumption but there IS a corkage fee.

Then on 2/13 you stated if you consume wine you brought on board in your room there is no corkage fee.

Please clarify

Regards Barbara

Thanks for your comment. Indeed, what is and isn’t included in cruise line beverage packages can be tricky to ascertain and is changeable. That said Oceania presently allow you consume bottles wine in your stateroom without a corkage fee, but if you take the bottle to a public area or dining venue a corkage fee of US$25 applies.

oceania cruise wine list

Hi Jason. I will be traveling with 3 ladies on an Oceania cruise next September (hopefully). We are all Martini drinkers and love Martinis Bar. What is the current price for a premium vodka Martini there now? Thank you Kate.

Thank you for your question. Very exciting to have a cruise booked!

The price of vodka martinis in the Marinis Bar on Oceania Cruises is as follows:

– Ketel One US$11.50 – Smirnoff US$11.50 – Van Gough US$11.50 – Absolut US$11.50 – Stolichnaya US$11.50 – Tito’s (gluten free) US$12.00 – Belvedere US$12.50 – Grey Goose US$12.50 – Beluga US$13.00

I hope this helps your planning.

oceania cruise wine list

Hi Jason. I have been reading the question and answers, and your information is more detailed than the Oceania web site! Great job. We are planning a Tokyo cruise and my question is: Can two people in the same cabin order different drink packages? Meaning, my wife (who doesn’t drink that much) would be interested in the House Select package, but I would be interested Prestige Select package. Is this allowed? Thank you, JD

Thank you for your question and your kind words. I’ve had to do some digging to find an authorititive answer. It’s good news! Both guests are not required to have the same beverage package. One guests may choose the House Select package, while the other can have the Prestige Select package. The important point is that both guests must have at least one beverage package each.

oceania cruise wine list

Hi Sorry if you have covered this already. Are you allowed to take spirits on board for consumption in your cabin. We will have a standard drinks package as part of our package but it does seem very restricting i e drinks only in the dining areas with meals. Many thanks.

Thank you for your question. According to the onboard literature, guests can bring 6 bottles of wine per stateroom on board during the voyage for consumption in the stateroom or suite. A corkage fee will apply if you consume the wine in one of the dining venues or bar areas. However, Oceania Cruises reserves the right to prohibit and retain other alcoholic beverages bought ashore for consumption on board the vessel.

I hope this answers your question.

oceania cruise wine list

Can you tell me if the premium Oceania drinks package includes all mixed drinks (ie Wallbangers) and liquers?

Information is scarce …

Thank you for your question. The Prestige Select package covers mixed spirit drinks, so that should include a typical Harvey Wallbanger.

Hope this helps.

oceania cruise wine list

How large is ‘a glass of wine’ bought at the bar or at dinner?

The wines on Oceania are generally poured at the table, rather than being measured (i.e. you simply order a glass of wine, instead of small or large).

oceania cruise wine list

Adding to your answer about a bottle of spirits in the room: One can order from the Bon Voyage list for a bottle (or more) of spirits for the room. Last voyage I found a bottle of Balvenie 15 yr old single malt priced well below the market price at home. Googling Oceania Bon Voyage gifts and scrolling to the section From The Bar will get you the list, send it to your stateroom and enjoy. Cheers.

oceania cruise wine list

Booking for the Riviera much later, but wondering. Is the fridge in the suites large enough for a bottle or two, like the Viking ships. Thanks Peter from Canada

Thanks for your question. The fridge is a typical ‘bar fridge’ size. In my experience there was enough space for at least one bottle of bubbles.

I’m sure you will enjoy Riviera, especially the great onbaord dining scene.

oceania cruise wine list

I just read through all the comments and thank you for all this great information, very helpful!

oceania cruise wine list

If we buy the Prestige package and order drinks through room service for the room, is there a room service fee that would not be included?

When I last sailed with Oceania (just before the pandemic) I was not charged a service fee for ordering in-room beverages on the Prestige Select package.

I hope this helps

oceania cruise wine list

Thank you, thankyou, this info is horribly hard to find.

oceania cruise wine list

Wow….we have 35 cruises but this is our first on Oceania….you have provided an absolutely wonderful service with your direct and specific comments….MANY thanks.

oceania cruise wine list

Are cappuccinos and lattes extra on Oceania cruise ship. The web site says all cruises include complimentary select wines and spirits, beer, soft drinks, bottled water, and hot beverages throughout the ship.

Thank you for your question. Alcoholic beverages are not included in the price of your Oceania Cruises fare, however teas and coffee are. That includes cafe latte as well as cappuccino.

oceania cruise wine list

Cruising on Riviera in December. I know about the option of buying 7 bottles of wine. But is it possible to buy a bottle of wine at dinner (instead of buying by the glass) and how much would be a bottle of European red wine?

oceania cruise wine list

Is espresso free or I have to purchase a house select drink package? On 18 day cruise only 6 bottles allowed per stateroom? No coverage fee if we drink in our room?

Dear Yelena

Thanks for your question. Yes, espresso coffee is free without purchase of a drinks package.

Hope this helps and enjoy your cruise.

Regards Jason Managing editor

oceania cruise wine list

Hi, Can l buy a bottle of wine during my trip and drink it in my room?

Thanks for your question. Yes, when I last sailed with Oceania, guests were permitted to bring a bottle on board to consume in their room.

oceania cruise wine list

Can you tell me if we purchase the House package and want to upgrade to premium is it cheaper or any different to do so before we leave or on the boat

Thanks for your question. It is one that a lot of people are curious about. However, there is no cost difference – unless Oceania have an occasional O-Life special offer.

oceania cruise wine list

Cruising on Riviera in May. I know about the option of buying 7 bottles of wine. But is it possible to buy a bottle of wine at dinner (instead of buying by the glass) and how much would be a bottle of red wine? If we didn’t finish it at that meal, can we save it to enjoy in our stateroom or with a future meal? The price per bottle of wine is around US$47.00, is that correct? Thanks! lots of great info here that I didn’t find in other sites.

Thank you for your question. Yes, you can buy a bottle of wine at dinner. Bottles of wine are typically priced from USD50 and up. Indeed, the menu in the Grand Dining Room often includes a recommended red and white wine bottle. You could also choose from the wine list.

Also, Oceania sometimes have Bin End Wines on sale with up to 30% discount on selected bottles.

You should be able to enjoy your bottle in the room if you don’t finish it at dinner. However, you might have to ask the waiter to have it sent to the room rather than taking it yourself. Health and safety regualtions can preclude passengers carrying bottles of wine through common areas.

Regards Jaosn Kerr Managing Editor

oceania cruise wine list

My Wife and I are sailing on May 14 on Marina from Trieste. I would like to pre-order a bottle of Hendricks Gin for our stateroom paid out of our allowance. can this be done on line.

Thanks for your question. My understanding is that you will need to speak with Oceania Cruises in your region for that. I don’t believe it can be done online.

oceania cruise wine list

Please could you advise the approx cost of a spiit with mixer or a beer just tring to way up if need drinks package

Thanks for your question. Here are the prices for a selection of Oceania beverages: – Corona Beer, $7.50 – Becks Beer, $7.25 – Budweiser, $6.50 – Long Island Ice Tea, $11.25 – Margarita, $11.00 – Champagne cocktail, $10.75

Thank you Jason dollar not good to pund at the moment & some days you dont want much to drink, I believe there maybe a coupe of happy hours and you can take 3 bottles of wine onbaord and no corkage if drink in cabin is this correcr?

Thank you Lisa

If you consume the wine in your stateroom there is no corkage fee. However, if you drink it in a public area or dining venue there will be a corkage fee of about US$25.

oceania cruise wine list

Do you know the reason that bottles in the wine package must be selected in advance? I would think you buy a 7 bottle package, see what you will order for dinner, and select a bottle from the list that would pair with the food.

oceania cruise wine list

Very good comprehensive information. Thank you!

oceania cruise wine list

If you choose the 7 bottle offering, I kept my list with me. Then after ordering dinner I asked for the bottle of wine to suit my dinner selection. The way O works is that if you open a bottle you have the choice of taking it with you (via delivery to cabin) or letting O store it by cabin number. So next time you want that wine ANYWHERE on the ship you simply ask for that bottle. if you didn’t finish it you can request it. BUT it takes maybe 10-15 minutes to fetch it. I opened carry-on wines in my cabin often, then took a large glass (which I stopped by a bar to ask for a nice wine glass) to the dining room as if I had bought it in one of the bars. It was NO problem. The maitre d’ even carried it to the table for me:)

oceania cruise wine list

Is cognac (not brandy) included in the Prestige select package? And what about Irish Coffee? Regards, Aage

Thank you for your question. When I last sale on Oceania Cruises (July 2022) VSOP cognac was included in the Prestige package. Also, Irish coffee should also be included as it is simply coffee with a spirit.

Yes, on my most recent sailing (July 2022), VSOP Cognac was available on the Prestige Select package.

oceania cruise wine list

Can ship board credits be used to purchase a Bon Voyage gift

I’d recommend you contact your local Oceania Cruises office for clarificatin on that.

oceania cruise wine list

Transatlantic on Riviera in 2023 stopping at Great stirrup Cay. Can I use my Premium drinks package whilst on the Cay?

The beverage package typically only covers drinks on board the vessel.

oceania cruise wine list

If my wife and I purchase the basic drinks package each, and have a meal served in our cabin or suite, does the package include drinks ordered with the meal?

Thank you for your Question. Yes, the House Select package includes drinks at lunch or dinner, available at any dining venue or through roon service during restaurant operating hours.

Kind regards Jason Kerr Managing Editor

oceania cruise wine list

Greetings, sailing on the Mariner in an Oceania suite with the premium beverage package. If we decide to order a full bottle of wine with dinner, do we get a discount, Also is there somewhere we can review the offerings for the six bottles that come with our suite? Thanks

Thank you for your question. If you have either the House Select or Prestige Select beverage package you get a 15% saving on bottles from the Wine List, as well as a 20% saving on the La Reserve wine pairing dinner. The bottles that come with your suite will usually vary depending on where and when you sail.

oceania cruise wine list

Hi Jason. Can you buy a drink package when you embark on Oceania or do you have to purchase online before?

oceania cruise wine list

Jan You can pre purchase the beverage packages If you take the Beverage package as part of the O life perk then NO

The discount on La Reserve is only if you PURCHASE the Prestige package not if you upgrade for the House select from O life perk

oceania cruise wine list

Dear Jason, very good information on this website ! How can I get the comprehensive list of all available wines to choose for the 7 wines package When ordering the Prestige Package, which wines are included to choose from ? Thank you (Vista June 2023)

oceania cruise wine list

Can you buy a bbottle of Vodka in port and carry it onboard for the Cabin?

Restrictions on bringing alcohol on board are most often in force at embarkation. Typically you may bring alcohol on board if purchased in a port-of-call. In my expereince Oceania have not asked any questions when I’ve returned from shore with a bottle of local spirits.

oceania cruise wine list

I don’t drink alcohol so my question is about the free soft drinks on board please. (1) Do they serve Coke on board; and (2) If yes, does it come in cans/bottles or it is only served out of a machine?

Many thanks. This is a great website.

oceania cruise wine list

Is there a corkage fee on the house wine package?

In my experience corkage is only charged on wine you might bring on board yourself.

oceania cruise wine list

With the prestige drinks package are all beers by the glass can you order a bottle/ can of beer

oceania cruise wine list

Oceania is currently transitioning from O-life to the Simply more pricing structure. Simply more includes the House Select package in its fare. Does this mean you can still upgrade to the Prestige Select package for just $30 per person per day? Do you pay the upgrade charge at booking or must you do so after boarding?

Yes, you are correct about the new Simply More offering. I am currently sailing on Riviera and can confirm that the House Select Upgrade is charged at USD30 per person per day to your shipboard account. You can upgrade to this from the House Select Package included in the Simple More cruise fare. You may do this in advance through your travel advisor or once on board.

oceania cruise wine list

If, after paying $25 corkage fee, we don’t finish the whole wine bottle during dinner, can we bring the same partially full bottle for the next meal and don’t incur another “corkage” fee? When we travelled on Viking ,they would store partially full bottle for us in the special room after labeling it and giving us a special receipt to be used at the next meal.

oceania cruise wine list

Crikey I may be late to ask now. Ive read a few times about the packages ect and im looking forward so booking. There’s 1 question about the alcohol select.. ‘During open hours’ May seems strange to some but im an insomniac and can sometimes sleep through a day (awful, I know). Im willing to pay for the drinks package but any idea what times the bars are open and closed? I think id just pay anyway but are they closed through the night? Isnt there food or buffet in the night? Maybe im more suitable to a previous more 24/7 cruise line. (Many thanks).

Sarah Bretz, Contributor

Sarah Bretz, Contributor

  • November 10, 2021

Oceania Cruises has revealed details on the next phase of dining enhancements that are rolling out across its fleet as part of the OceaniaNEXT program.

Following the May introduction of new dining experiences, menus, and service levels, the next phase brings new wine tasting programs, expanded in-room dining choices, and a soufflé of the day in The Grand Dining Room.

These updates have already launched on  Marina  and  Riviera  and will debut on the other vessels as they return to sailing.

In-Room Dining

Evolving from traditional room service, Oceania’s culinary team has revitalized the in-room dining menu to include more options for each meal.

New appetizers include Plant-Based California Rolls, and Antipasti Plate, and Shrimp Cocktail. New soups and salads include Grilled Salmon Salad and Miso Ramen Soup.

A new burger menu brings an Alaskan Salmon Burger and an Impossible Burger to the in-room dining experience, while new entrées include a Petite Beef Filet, Thai Coconut Red Curry, a Hawaiian Poke Bowl, and a Mezze Platter.

New desserts include Humphry Slocombe Ice Cream, “Pure Energy” Smoothies, and a Chocolate Mousse Cake.

As well, breakfast has been enhanced with an array of options include eggs prepared to one’s liking, omelets, avocado toast, pancakes, or French toast with things like bacon, sausage, and hash browns.

In-room dining remains complimentary to all passengers.

Soufflé of the Day

Soufflés are a favorite among Oceania passengers, so the cruise line decided to add a Soufflé of the Day to the menu in The Grand Dining Room.

The rotating menu will include:

  • Valrhona Guanaja Chocolate Soufflé Topped with Cacao Nibs

In addition to learning about tasting notes, terroir, and more, each deep dive features accompanying canapés.

La Reserve and Baristas

Passengers can now experience a variety of local wines, spirits, and tapas during the evening wine bar service that’s offered in La Reserve or Baristas aboard  Marina  and  Riviera  on select evenings.

So------- SM started in October. Can someone on board, we are sailing on Vista in Jan but I think all ships will be the same,  tell us the names of a few of the wines and beers that are offered free at lunch and dinner.

While I haven't been onboard since it started, I would venture a guess that it's probably the same list of wines and beers that were available under Olife House Select.

Oceania is buying wine in multiple shipping container quantities that they have shipped to their multiple world wide resupply locations. It takes months or years to rotate through some of the wines. Anything left over from one cruise season is just warehoused until the next. Nothing on the current “ by the glass “ wine list will change for quite some time. As ORV pointed out, absolutely nothing changed on 10/1 as far as the wine list was concerned.

Appreciate that info. Is there a list of some of these wines?

We would like to go to Total Wine and sample some of the wines before we go.

Wines by the glass are listed here:

Why bother paying for a bottle when you can try all of them when you are on board?

most of the wines were the same as on the menus that were posted in Jan

Good point shepherd. Question:

1. Can you think of any lunch or dinner restaurant where the free wine is not offered? Waves grill?? Room service?

2. Can you ask to sample a couple of wines at lunch or dinner to see what you like?

All the restaurants and room service will bring you one glass per person at a time.  And you can ask to sample as many as you please, subject to the time constraints of the wine stewards.

But that raises a question, can you request a flight of several glasses so you can taste them in reasonably quick succession?  That I would like to know, my next cruise will be the first where I'll have a drinks package (Simply More)..

Never seen it done!

Let me add. These are all very low priced wines overall. Most all of them are varietally correct. So if you know what are Syrah or a Merlot tastes like, that’s what you’re getting. Even the blends such as the CdR is typical of that blend. There are no silly CA cocktail fruit bomb wines on the wine by the glass menu. They are more food oriented.

For Chardonnay, they typically have two selections: one more classic; and more more buttery and oaky than the other. They will allow you to sample both to see which you prefer. However, I have never seen a flight tasting offered of all the whites for instance.

I may have to test and see if this is doable, just for giggles.

Disclaimer: I am not this organized. This may not ever happen.

One idea: Find some wine friends on the rollcall. Meet for dinner night 1. Everyone order a different glass of wine and request an additional (empty) glass. Label the various wines and pass around like mini-carafes. (you are not drinking out of the mini-carafes, only pouring! ) Now you have tasted many/all of the wines 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷 🍷

You read wrong, the wines by the glass are the same under every iteration of drinks packages offered by Oceania.

@shepherd really  Thank you, good information.  I think all the questions about wines, spirits and drink packages are based on many cruisers recent cruise experiences.  Not necessarily on Oceania. On another brand, we had the hardest time finding a average white wine.  We even had an upgraded drink package.  To clarify, we drink wine in a box at home and like it so we are not great wine drinkers.  The wine served was really bad and it was disappointing.  Something tells me many others have had the same experience and want to make sure it is better.

Thank you again.  I always enjoy your posts and information.

Cruise well and enjoy every moment.

My two cents. If you enjoy decent to very good wine, bring it on board. Pay the $25 corkage fee. Looking at the list, there  are a couple of  wines that are okay to have here and there……but on a longer cruise it would be nice to have some wines that you can really enjoy with the meals advertised as the finest at sea.

Does Oceania ever bring wines on board from the ports they are visiting, so that there are local and different wines to enjoy?  Reading this tells me that does not happen? When we were on SB they did just that, so that the included offerings varies throughout the cruise. Admittedly some were not very palatable, but others were quite lovely. It provided a varied selection on the trip.

@Vineyard View  You see, your point of bringing wine onboard is for me a true benefit of Oceania.  I remember way back when, a very long time ago, cruise brands allowed you to bring wine and spirits onboard.  We did it all the time and it was the best.  Never disappointed and it at the time saved us money which we did not have.  Then, the industry changed the rule.  So I like other realized that opinion was lost.

I was so pleased to find out Oceania's policy on this.  Not huge or even a reason to cruise Oceania but a benefit to me.  So, to your point, I am excited that we will be flying into Athens Greece a day before the cruise.  We will see some sites, have a fantastic meal and buy some wine for the stateroom.  Makes the time in Athens even more fun.

Since this will be my first Oceania cruise, something tells me, even the wine by the glass will exceed my wife's expectation.  Our experience in the recent past simply makes me want to Fix a Potential Problem before it happens.  Worst case, we have to much wine.  NOW, that is a third world problem I can defiantly live with.

Nope, not allowed. On our Sirena cruise last Fall, the lead wine steward at a tasting asked “ What kind of tasting would we ( the group) like to see?” I recommended that since we were headed to Madeira, then the Canary Islands, she pick up a few representative wines from the area and we have that tasting.

We were quickly told that was impossible. Shipboard personnel aren’t allowed to buy wine for any reason. Only Miami can buy wines for the ship. Our choice for a Tasting was from wines already offered by the ship.

lots of mis information on CC

Oceania is one of a number of lines who allow this. Some charge corkage fees as Oceania does, and some do not. We always bring some wine on board with us. We find a local wine store and ask the person working there, based on our tastes if they have recommendations. We also do a bit of research before we go to better understand what we may enjoy. Without exception, it has always been an enjoyable part of our day in the cities we visit. If you are staying there, many of those shops will also deliver the wine you purchase to your hotel. Have fun doing that in Athens!

Thank you for clarifying. Disappointing, but good to know. Particularly since having local wines helps the wineries at ports visited, but also gives more layers to compliment the food.

if you are travelling with a group  then just have everyone bring a bottle  from the port   & have your own wine tasting

Maybe speak to the wine steward  ahead of time or what ever they are called on Oceania  to suggest  food to pair with the wines at dinner in the restaurant of choice

If your concern is, "is there anything drinkable on the SM included by-the-glass wines?", my answer is yes. Tastes vary, so your answer may differ!

The by-the-glass list on O is perfectly fine - not an amazing "can you believe they have this" list, but plenty of food-friendly choices red or white. Spouse & I are both wine geeks if that matters. If you have a sweet tooth, there is a dessert wine on the list.

Yes we usually bring on a case of wine - but in February 2023 when we were on Nautica in Asia, we didn't bring any wine at all. Wine lists at restaurants in Asia pleasantly surprised us, but we didn't buy any bottles locally to bring on the ship either. Onboard we did fine between the by-the-glass list, end bin list and regular wine list onboard. This was a short 10 day itinerary, so can't promise if our attitude would be the same after 20+ days onboard.

Thank you for this suggestion. We generally travel alone, but that is a great idea for groups!  I was just thinking that it was nice to see local wines being loaded on the ship this year as a standard practice.  I did not realize that the chefs on board will prepare meals for specific wine varietals, unless I am misunderstanding.

We are fairly fortunate where we live to easily explore a myriad of different wines, so we have a good idea of the attributes in a wine that work for us….more so from our area, but also from our travels.  I can say after looking at this list that there are a couple that would be fine. There are more than that which would not work for us, and there are some we are not familiar with. I am always open to trying new wines!  But we always bring wine on board as added insurance, as long as we are in a part of the world that is conducive to! I am not sure I would have counted on Asia but what a nice surprise!

An area I haven’t explored wines much in is upper NY, but I have heard that there are some very good wines produced there.

Not sure I would have planned

Wine price list

Cool Cruiser

Good morning, Is there a wine price list available? We do not have the O Life package on board and are wondering if paying for the corkage fee is more economical (and buying bottle on-board) than bringing wine on board ( for consumption inside cabin).

Happy New Year.

If you go to website and view the onboard dining, they have a list of wines with prices under Grand dining Room.  Prices shown are in line with what we experienced this past summer.  Most by the glass run 13-16….and with no beverage package you’d also pay a 20% gratuity on top of those prices.

Thanks

The way this is worded sounds like you are paying a corkage fee for wine bought from O. The corkage fee is only for wine that you purchase elsewhere and brought onboard. Non-O wine bottles can be consumed in your room for no charge, or consumed in a dining room for a $25 corkage fee (paid once per bottle). Wine purchased from O is the price on the menu plus 20% gratuity. In general, if you are drinking inexpensive wine, the cost difference is small and the hassle of dragging around wine isn't worth it. If you are drinking expensive wine, bringing your own makes more sense fiscally.

The average O markup for bottled wine is about 300%+/- over US retail prices at home.

IMO, bringing cheap wine onboard is a waste of time and energy. On the other hand, carrying on even a few select items that, onboard, would run several hundred dollars each (plus gratuity) makes the best sense.

We seem to agree on this. Although I have a DP bottle that I keep thinking "I should bring this on a cruise", but when it comes down to actually bringing it, it's too much effort (I know, pretty sad). Luckily O has upped their gin game, so I'm happy.

For the OP;

Remember that there is not “ a” wine list. The Polo Grill, Toscana, and Jacques all have their own exclusive wine list with wines only available in that venue.

However, as FF stated, the markups can be staggering.

Speaking for ourselves, we found buying ashore and paying the corkage suited our wine drinking style.

We don't buy expensive wines.

In Italy, Croatia, Greece and Montenegro we asked our tour guides if they drank local red wines.

They recommended a wine able to be bought in the local supermarket / wine store which is exactly what we did.

We found them all very drinkable and suited to our taste.

In fact, at subsequent ports if we saw one or two of them again we bought some more.

Those small purchase costs plus corkage suited our wine drinking style perfectly for 2 months.

7 hours ago, AMHuntFerry said: We seem to agree on this. Although I have a DP bottle that I keep thinking "I should bring this on a cruise", but when it comes down to actually bringing it, it's too much effort (I know, pretty sad). Luckily O has upped their gin game, so I'm happy.

Yes to the Gin - they’ve now got Irish Gunpowder!

As for DP, I’m not a big DP fan. I find many NotCal sparklers to be more to my liking (and st far better prices).

Even if you declined the OLife package you can probably switch to SimplyMore...the "new and improved excursion and drinks package".  We did.  Switching has saved us some money.  Not a lot - but some.  I am all for that!

11 hours ago, Tranquility Base said: Speaking for ourselves, we found buying ashore and paying the corkage suited our wine drinking style.

While I don't pay any corkage fee and only drink my own beer, hard liquor and wine in our cabin, on our recent 20-night B2B in the Med on Riviera we found the local wines and spirits to be quite good, usually regardless of price. I had to get on my knees to find the least expensive bottle of Italian red wine I could find in a local grocery store in Naples. Was only E1.49. Delicious! Wish I'd have bought more than the one. But I bought alcohol pretty much at every port. Fell in love with the brandy from Greece, Serbia, and Spain!

We are still booked on cruises with OLife and are curious if they still have the 7-bottle wine package.  Anyone know?

Thanks in advance,

Long gone. Once O figured out that savvy folks were buying seven of whatever was the “loss leader” on the list, they stopped the program. For example, whenever we saw Mirabelle sparkling wine  (often more than $20-25 retail back in the US), we’d grab seven bottles. Often the Mirabelle would be gone within a few days. Most of the rest of the stuff on the 7 bottle list was usually similar to the wine-by-the-glass offerings- about $10+\- retail at home (for which they were charging more than $40/bottle plus gratuity. Occasionally though they’d put one or two better quality wines in the program - usually the end of the bin stuff - to make way for new stock.

Speaking of which, the “bin end list” is still alive and well with discounts of up to 30% off the ship’s price. We’ll always check that out when we board and possibly buy a few to round out our personal stock.

That appears to be the wine-by-the-glass menu. Yet another reason to bring your own.

Ok thanks for the info.

babysteps

We asked to borrow a wine-by-the-bottle list when we boarded. Mostly fully (restaurant) priced but there are a few bargains, we even found one wine that we knew we enjoyed that was less than retail! Not going to name it in case O decides to correct that...

Thank you very much for your insight and suggestion. Have a Happy New Year everyone. : -)

Cruisedreamer1

We enjoyed the wine by the glass very much. It's not top drawer wine but not bah bah. It's worth not dragging your own wine.

SATaxman

I was fine with a couple of the whites, and a couple of the reds. They were "good enough".

44 minutes ago, SATaxman said: I was fine with a couple of the whites, and a couple of the reds. They were "good enough".

+1. Nothing of outstanding qualities, but a couple of each that will go adequately with a meal. That is their primary purpose with the package, to complement the meal adequately.

When cruising in wine making areas, we typically pick up high quality local wines and pay the corkage. However, not all areas are wine making areas, nor are high quality wines always available onshore. Then you suck it up and lean of those identifiable wines above.

10 Top Cruises for Food and Drinks, According to the Experts

Dining at sea is more adventurous than ever with highly curated cruise ship concepts and menus, onboard culinary classes, and shore excursions.

oceania cruise wine list

Dining while cruising has never tasted better. Onboard restaurants can match land-based eateries in sophistication and style, with chefs as driven by seasonal ingredients as their peers ashore. The 2024 Global Tastemakers, selected by food and travel journalists this year, favor luxury ocean lines, which invest heavily in food and wine, yet also embrace expedition ships and riverboats. All operate small vessels by today’s standards; kitchen crews can more readily cook with artistry and ingenuity for fewer passengers.

These Tastemakers share passion and vision; they’re reshaping shipboard norms by introducing dining venues and cuisines rarely spotlighted at sea, such as Virgin Voyages, with a Korean barbecue restaurant among 20 complimentary eateries. Global Tastemakers are also offering more adventurous culinary classes and shore excursions. Silversea, the winner, scores for its multifaceted S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) program, devoted to the sailing region’s food and beverages. Crystal (formerly Crystal Cruises) reclaims its stellar reputation from its prior incarnation, including a renewed partnership with iconic chef Nobu Matsuhisa. Regent Seven Seas Cruises debuted a glam new ship and elevated menus fleetwide, with novel dishes inspired by the culinary team’s extensive research trips. As this year unfolds, expect even more allures: On HX (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions), local chefs on some itineraries may hop onboard to cook regional specialties. Oceania Cruises debuts both a Culinary Masters Cruise hosted by two Master Chefs of France, and the highly anticipated Editor’s Cruise, with Hunter Lewis, Food + Wine ’s editor-in-chief. These are the best cruises for food and drinks.

Winner: Silversea

Silversea’s impactful S.A.L.T. (Sea and Land Taste) program secures the luxury line’s winning spot. S.A.L.T. Kitchen devotes an entire ever-changing menu to reflect sailing itineraries. S.A.L.T. Lab’s cooking instructors share regional cultural and culinary history with passengers during hands-on classes. In S.A.L.T. Bar, passengers sip locally inspired mixologists’ cocktails. S.A.L.T. shore excursions range from foraging in Puglia to lunching at a hyper-local Lisbon tinned-fish eatery and exploring a Patagonian organic farm. S.A.L.T. outings have proven so successful, Silversea is adding selections.

Crystal Cruises

The brand relaunch of luxurious Crystal Cruises (acquired by A&K Travel Group) now sails as Crystal , with two beautifully remodeled ships, Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony. Eight distinctive restaurants include Umi Uma, showcasing the inimitable Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine of Crystal partner, legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa . Osteria d’Ovidio, named for Crystal’s Italian owner Manfredi Lefebvre d’Ovidio, presents poetic plates anchored in simplicity and  primo ingredients, such as lobster in tomato essence with basil olive oil.

Oceania Cruises

This line pursues compelling culinary exploits onboard and ashore, like cooking demonstrations at a Venetian master chef’s private villa or a Latvian “farm to table” experience in which guests shop at a market with the Culinary Center chef before cooking and consuming a Latvian lunch on board. Shipboard chefs are so ingredient-obsessed, they even order custom-milled French flour. Among updates, Oceania has reimagined numerous dishes, highlighting local sourcing. On Marina, Riviera, and Vista, a must-try six-course menu with a Dom Pérignon pairing perpetually marvels.

This luxe line debuted modern Mediterranean restaurant Solis on Seabourn Quest as an inspired replacement to Thomas Keller’s Grill, before Seabourn Encore, Ovation, and Sojourn rollouts. Seabourn restaurants may differ stylistically fleetwide, yet never vary in quality. Exemplary venues include Sushi for primo fish; the Restaurant with intricate entrees like carved lamb loin with crisp lamb spring roll; and Earth & Ocean for fine dining al fresco. Consider complimentary caviar and 24-hour in-suite service as bonuses.

Hurtigruten/HX

Hurtigruten

Hurtigruten (formerly Norwegian Coastal) and HX (formerly Hurtigruten Expeditions) ships explore the world, including polar regions, the Galápagos, the Caribbean, and of course, Norway. Both HX and Hurtigruten aim to serve cuisine as compelling as adventures ashore and feature menus reflecting their Norwegian heritage. Supporting local communities, Hurtigruten relies on some 50 suppliers along the Coastal Express route for about 80% of ingredients, while more than 75% of HX’s ingredients used on Antarctica and Alaska routes are local.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises

This luxury line’s six ships deliver exemplary dining, with its three newest ships (Seven Seas Grandeur, Splendor, and Explorer) exhibiting boundless flair. Among venues, Prime 7’s juicy steaks, Chartreuse’s French plates, and Pacific Rim’s pan-Asian dishes particularly dazzle. Beyond dining, the hands-on cooking school and Regent’s chef-led Epicurean Explorer Tours are part of the draw. Passengers may market-shop for a paella cooking class and feast on the famed rice-based dish at a seaside eatery in Valencia, Spain.

Windstar Cruises

Windstar’s six small ships possess yacht-like vibes, with a culinary direction to match. Chefs eagerly source fresh sustainable ingredients in ports to prepare imaginative dishes. On Star Plus class all-suite ships, Cuadro 44 by Anthony Sasso packs a modern Spanish punch while Star Grill by Steven Raichlen dishes up aromatic barbecue deckside. Windstar’s James Beard Foundation partnership ensures guest chefs board for demonstrations and dinners; the line also features their recipes on fleet eateries.

Viking Cruises

Viking commands attention on all waters, with riverboats, ocean liners, and expedition ships plying every continent. So many touches sum up Viking’s willingness for menus to reflect itineraries, and regional dishes and wines are a given. Flourishing herb gardens allow riverboat chefs to pluck the freshest herbs to grace dishes daily. On ocean-going vessels, specialty restaurant Manfredi’s excels in Italian cuisine (bistecca alla Fiorentina is legendary), and Mamsen’s triumphs the line’s Nordic heritage — all bow to the signature waffles.

Virgin Voyages

With 20 complimentary eateries, Virgin Voyages allows a younger, perhaps less-traveled, cruiser to sample so many cuisines. This line eschews food halls and buffets, preferring to showcase intimate boîtes, instead. Each possesses an oversized personality and emboldened plates, such as Razzle Dazzle for dishes like black garlic bowtie pasta with fennel braised pork and chanterelles, and Gunbae, knocking it out of the foodpark with complimentary soju shots and Korean barbecue.

AmaWaterways

AmaWaterways has taken food and wine seriously since its 2002 inception. The line, inducted into La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, finds its culinary cues in its riverboats’ itineraries, selecting local ingredients and intriguing wines like Rieslings from Austria’s Wachau Valley. AmaWaterways ’ wine-themed voyages, like Flavors of Burgundy with excursions to Beaune and Mâcon, win consistent praise. Onboard gastronomic pinnacles include the Chef’s Table, a small-group dining adventure where a chef prepares wine-paired multi-course meals before passengers.

Plus one: The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection

Exuding an exclusive boutique hotel aura, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection consists of superyacht Evrima, and in September, Ilma debuts, with Luminara arriving in 2025. This line lavishes passengers with attention, elegant design, and superb dining with an international spin. Each yacht offers five restaurants, 24-hour in-suite dining, and six lounges. The wine vault features more than 200 wine labels, with many exclusive red wines and vintages on a private reserve list.

Global Tastemakers is a celebration of the best culinary destinations in the U.S. and abroad. Luxury cruise lines

Oceania cruises.

Oceania Cruises' culinary program has long been regarded as one of the best of any cruise line – and the company has even trademarked the term "The Finest Cuisine at Sea." Jacques Pépin, the renowned French master chef, has been the executive culinary director since 2003; he has inspired the menus and cuisine on board the line's seven small luxury ships since that time, including the newest vessel, Vista . Oceania is also committed to sourcing the best ingredients from destinations around the world. In addition, the line has a high ratio of culinary staff to guests, and the ship's galleys are outfitted with equipment you'd typically see in Michelin-starred restaurants.

Guests can book exclusive Culinary Discovery Tours on two of the ships, Marina and Riviera . Hone your culinary skills or learn to prepare new types of cuisine at The Culinary Center, found on Marina, Riviera and Vista. You'll also find special wine-tasting and Champagne events in partnership with La Reserve by Wine Spectator. In addition, the line has just announced its first Culinary Masters' Cruise featuring Oceania's two French master chefs aboard Marina in October 2024.

Most of the dining venues are complimentary on Oceania Cruises (except for Privée and La Reserve), and options run the gamut from French and Asian cuisine to Italian fare and steakhouse specialties. There are also new culinary concepts on board Vista – including Ember, which features American classics, as well as Aquamar Kitchen, a venue focused on healthy Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.

Here are two of Oceania's best restaurants:

  • Red Ginger: Red Ginger's colorful red and gold interiors, designed with feng shui in mind, draw guests in when they enter the restaurant, but it's the bold Asian flavors that keep them coming back for more. With Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese specialties to choose from, diners will enjoy selections such as caramelized tiger prawns, crispy ginger calamari, red and green curries, and bulgogi rib-eye steak. Red Ginger is available on Marina, Riviera, Sirena and Vista.
  • Toscana: The hearty cuisine inspired by Tuscan and northern Italian flavors at Toscana is served on Versace china that's custom designed for the restaurant. Diners should come with an appetite to enjoy several courses before the main event, including a hot or cold antipasti or soup, a selection of pastas, and a classic version of Caesar salad prepared tableside. Traditional main dish favorites include osso buco alla Milanese, veal scaloppini, lobster fra diavolo and Dover sole. Toscana is available on Regatta, Insignia, Nautica, Marina, Riviera and Vista.

Silversea Cruises

Silversea is another cruise line known for its culinary excellence. Guests will find a selection of international venues featuring Italian, Asian and French cuisine on board the line's fleet of 12 ships.

S.A.L.T., an immersive dining experience that stands for "Sea and Land Taste," is available on Silver Nova , Silver Moon and Silver Dawn . The S.A.L.T. program was created by Adam Sachs, former editor-in-chief of Saveur magazine and three-time James Beard journalism award winner. The innovative program invites guests to experience the destination and local food culture through on-board hands-on activities, including making local recipes in the S.A.L.T. Lab. You can also attend cooking demonstrations and lectures, or book in-depth culinary excursions to working organic farms, Sicilian pasticcerias (where you'll learn how to make pastries) and vineyards in destinations around the world.

The all-inclusive luxury line's restaurant venues are complimentary with the following exceptions: French fine dining restaurant La Dame; the S.A.L.T. Chef's Table experience available on Silver Nova; Seishin Restaurant, which serves Asian fusion dishes on Silver Spirit; and Kaiseki, the Japanese, sushi and teppanyaki venue available on five Silversea ships.

These are two standout dining venues on Silversea:

  • S.A.L.T. Kitchen: S.A.L.T. Kitchen's menu changes daily inspired by the destination, but diners will also find a "Voyage" menu that reflects the influences from the overall region of the itinerary. The daily "Terrain" menu in Italy might include dishes likes prawns cooked in a cherry tomato sauce with garlic, white wine and parsley or a classic risotto with clams topped with a pan-fried filet of sole. The "Voyage" menu on an Eastern Mediterranean sailing would feature dishes from Greece, Croatia and Italy. The immersive dining experience is available on Silver Ray, Moon, Dawn and Nova.
  • La Dame: The curated menu at La Dame was created by Silversea's top chefs and is served in an elegant contemporary space with white-glove table service. The cuisine pays homage to classic French gastronomy along with modern techniques and flair. Guests can expect to dine on traditional French dishes such as seared duck foie gras, French onion soup, lobster bisque, Dover sole and souffles for dessert. La Dame is available on all the line's ships, except for Silver Origin.

Explora Journeys

MSC Group's new luxury brand, Explora Journeys, features a top-notch culinary program with a team of international chefs at the helm. Acclaimed chef Franck Garanger, the line's head of culinary, has been recognized as a French master chef since 2008; he has also overseen the culinary programs for both Silversea and Oceania cruises before joining Explora.

According to Garanger, Explora Journeys has one of the highest chef-to-guest ratios and food costs of any cruise line, which is why you'll see offerings like freshly shucked oysters on the half shell, ceviche, free range and organic chicken, made-to-order grilled fish, and other freshly prepared items in Emporium Marketplace, Explora's globally inspired all-day dining venue. There's also a large focus on plant-based dishes, wellness and healthy menu selections in venues across the ship.

The first of six 922-guest superyacht-style vessels, Explora I, offers guests a choice of six restaurant venues, including the French-inspired Fil Rouge; Marble & Co. Grill, an elegant European steakhouse; and Med Yacht Club, which features delightful Mediterranean cuisine. Guests will also enjoy boutique international and regional wines; try a glass of Moët & Chandon, Explora's "house" Champagne.

During your "journey," you can also attend cooking classes at the Chef's Kitchen, a private dining and culinary school with lead enrichment chef Jean-Louis Dumonet at the helm. Another world-class chef, Dumonet received the distinction of becoming a French master chef in 1994 and has had a very successful culinary career, including achieving his first Michelin star at age 28.

Explore these standouts in Explora's culinary program:

  • Sakura: This beautiful Pan-Asian restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. The bright and airy design features cherry blossoms suspended from the ceilings and Asian-inspired decor. The authentic dining experience also boasts an open kitchen and a sushi bar with many ingredients sourced from Japan, and the venue has outdoor seating and indoor tables with floor-to-ceiling ocean views. Begin your evening with an Asian-inspired cocktail and a starter of crispy duck leg confit, wagyu beef tataki or soft-shell crab tempura. Main dish highlights include a miso black cod fillet, 72-hour slow-cooked short rib beef panang and an addictive lobster pad Thai.
  • Anthology: The innovative concept at Anthology "is imagined as a unique culinary stage showcasing global cooking talents and cuisines, provenance and rare ingredients along with wines by highly coveted winemakers." The tasting menus are curated by a rotation of top chefs that changes throughout the year. The first chef who opened the new ship, Mauro Uliassi, has a three-Michelin-starred restaurant in the coastal town of Senigallia, Italy. The second chef (through April 2024) is Swedish-born Emma Bengtsson, executive chef at the two-Michelin-starred Aquavit in New York. Anthology is the only dining venue on Explora I that comes at an additional cost. There's also an optional wine pairing.

Regent Seven Seas

Regent Seven Seas' culinary program, "Epicurean Indulgence," features top-notch dining experiences on board the luxury line's six ships. Guests will also find educational hands-on cooking classes in the Culinary Arts Kitchen and Epicurean Explorer tours focused on the wines, spirits and regional foods in destinations around the world. Regents' all-inclusive cruise fares include as many as seven dining venues (depending on the ship), that feature French, Italian, Pan-Asian and steakhouse restaurants as well as 24-hour in-suite room service. You can also enjoy fine wines and spirits in all the restaurants, bar and lounges.

Regent Seven Seas boasts a variety of excellent restaurants, but here are two top options:

  • Pacific Rim: The entrance to Pacific Rim is just as impressive as its food with the floor-to-ceiling bronze Tibetan Buddhist prayer wheel that sits just outside the venue. Inside, your evening experience in this beautiful zen-like space begins with a signature cocktail and a difficult decision of which Thai, Japanese, Korean, Chinese or Vietnamese dishes to order for dinner. Begin your meal with a selection of sushi and sashimi, then sample pork and shrimp siu mai or thom kha gai soup. For a main dish, don't miss elevated dishes like miso black cod, Canadian lobster tempura or aromatic duck.
  • Compass Rose: Compass Rose is the largest specialty restaurant on Regent's ships, and you'll find the elegant venue across the fleet. The menu features classic favorites and dishes that are always available, including foie gras, escargot, Alaskan crab salad, black Angus cuts of beef, New Zealand lamb chops and a daily choice of pasta. The additional chef's gourmet menu changes daily. If you prefer lighter fare, choose one of the healthy Serene Spa & Wellness selections. Guests can also customize their dining preferences and order from any of the menus.

Raw HTML : Tips on Trips and Expert Picks

Viking's nine 930-guest and adults-only ocean-going ships offer destination-focused dining highlighting regional cuisine and local specialties. In addition, cruisers will find their favorite classic dishes (some with a twist), such as a Norwegian baby shrimp cocktail, beef tenderloin and linguine with clams in The Restaurant, Viking's main dining venue.

Other dining options include an open kitchen and international fare at World Café, which also has a large alfresco dining area called Aquavit Terrace. For more casual fare, head to Mamsen's, a favorite spot for Norwegian specialties, or stop by the Pool Grill, where you'll find made-to-order burgers and light bites. All of these venues – plus two specialty restaurants, Manfredi's and The Chef's Table – are included in the cruise fare.

Guests on board Viking's ships are also treated to a daily afternoon tea in the Wintergarden, a Scandinavian-inspired, light-filled space located next to the main pool. If you're interested in learning more about destination-focused cuisine, reserve a spot in one of the hands-on cooking classes at The Kitchen Table to learn how to prepare some of the local dishes. These special excursions and culinary classes begin with a visit to a local market and end with an evening of cooking (or watching the dinner preparation) – plus multiple courses of food and wine pairings. There is a fee for the class.

The two specialty restaurants provide an exceptional experience with Viking :

  • Manfredi's: Plan to make a reservation at Manfredi's, Viking's Italian restaurant. It features an impressive menu of Italian specialties, including dishes with influence from Tuscany and Rome. Start the evening with a selection of antipasti for two and pasta e fagioli or crème of porcini soup. Then, choose between traditional offerings like osso bucco alla Milanese, rosemary parmesan-crusted lamb or the Tuscan favorite dish bistecca Fiorentina (Florentine-style steak). There are also wonderful fresh pasta dishes and several types of risotto.
  • The Chef's Table: The Chef's Table menu changes several times throughout the cruise, allowing guests to sample a variety of multicourse tasting menus that highlight international and regional specialties. The beautiful venue is perfect for a special evening and a "food journey" where you'll savor a selection of Asian, Norwegian, French or other cuisines paired with wines by the ship's master sommelier.

Mainstream cruise lines

Holland america line.

Holland America's master chef and creative culinary artist, Rudi Sodamin, has been with the line for around 20 years. He also heads up the Culinary Council, a group of well-known chefs who will be on board for culinary cruises scheduled throughout the year. During these special voyages, guests can attend cooking demonstrations and coffee chats and make reservations for exclusive chef-hosted dinners and events throughout the cruise.

Holland America also has a new initiative with Fresh Fish Ambassador, chef and TV personality Masaharu Morimoto (you'll recognize him from "Iron Chef"). The Global Fresh Fish program affords the line the ability to source more than 80 varieties of fresh fish in destinations around the world. In addition, you'll find certified sustainable Alaskan seafood on the menu during Alaska cruises .

Wine aficionados can look for wine tastings and wine blending sessions on board the ship and excursions to wine regions ashore, some in partnership with Food & Wine magazine. Rudi's Sel De Mer is an excellent choice for a fine dining evening, but the French brasserie-inspired venue is only available on three ships.

Here are two of Holland America's top specialty restaurants:

  • Pinnacle Grill: Pinnacle Grill, an upscale steakhouse, is a specialty restaurant (with an additional fee) that's available on all of the line's 11 ships. It's a favorite spot for couples to enjoy a romantic evening and features classic dishes like shrimp cocktail, jumbo lump crab cakes, lobster bisque, filet mignon, surf and turf, and grilled lamb chops. Seafood lovers will also find Alaskan king salmon and halibut. Be sure to save room for a twist on a timeless dessert – the not-so-classic baked Alaska with Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia ice cream.
  • Tamarind: Tamarind's elegant atmosphere and flavorful Pan-Asian cuisine make this another top pick for Holland American cruisers. The specialty restaurant is available on four ships (for an additional fee) and features dishes from Thailand, Japan, Indonesia and other Asian countries. Appetizers include specialties like crispy duck with a steamed bao bun, shrimp tempura and Chinese five-spice baby back ribs. For the main course, choose from several types of curries, sample Mongolian barbecue lamb chops, or feast on wok-seared shrimp and lobster. Plan to come early to Tamarind Bar to enjoy a cocktail such as a saketini while watching the sunset over the ocean.

Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line offers excellent family-friendly dining options with over-the-top Disney- and movie-themed venues with live character performances and shows. The ships also have upscale adults-only lounges, bars and restaurants that are perfect for a romantic date night. Disney Cruise Line 's unique rotational family dining concept allows guests to experience three different restaurants while having the same dedicated servers every one of those evenings, so the service is personalized throughout your voyage.

Guests on board Disney Wish can dine in the fictional kingdom of Arendelle at Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure. The "Frozen"-themed evening includes Nordic-inspired dishes, musical performances by the characters and even singalongs for the audience. On Disney Wonder , guests are treated to a night filled with New Orleans-style jazz and street parties plus Southern-influenced fare at Tiana's Place. You can also meet Princess Tiana from Disney's animated feature "The Princess and the Frog."

Other top dining venues on Disney Cruise Line include:

Palo: This adults-only Venetian-inspired venue is an upscale spot ideal for a quiet evening without the kids (who will be very happy to spend time at the onboard kids club). The fine dining experience features northern Italian cuisine and floor-to-ceiling windows offering views from nearly every perspective. The specialty restaurant also serves brunch on longer cruises. The prix fixe (or "prezzo fisso") menu includes four courses, or you can opt to choose from the regular menu with a selection of appetizers, salads, pizza, pasta and main dishes that are individually priced. Guests will find Palo on Disney Magic, Wonder, Dream and Fantasy.

On Disney Wish, there's an updated version of the dining concept, Palo Steakhouse. The modern steakhouse and Italian restaurant – inspired by Cogsworth, the enchanted clock from "Beauty and the Beast" – offers cuts of Australian wagyu, Japanese Kobe and Miyazaki beef as well as delightful Italian cuisine and spectacular ocean views. Be sure to splurge on a cocktail at The Rose before dinner if you're dining at Palo Steakhouse. Note that meals at Palo and Palo Steakhouse come with an additional charge.

Remy: The exquisite dining experience at Remy is a collaboration between French chef Arnaud Lallement from l'Assiette Champenoise (a three-Michelin-starred restaurant in France) and Walt Disney World Resort 's chef Scott Hunnel from the renowned restaurant Victoria & Albert's. Your leisurely evening of fine wines and a tasting menu of French fare begins with a signature Taittinger Champagne cocktail prepared tableside.

Special touches in the "Ratatouille"-inspired venue include Frette linens, Christofle silverware, exclusive Bernadaud china made for Remy, Riedel glassware, tableside international cheese service and decanting stations for wines. A Champagne brunch is served on sea days and select port days. There is an additional charge to dine at the restaurant, which is available on Disney Dream and Fantasy.

Virgin Voyages

Virgin Voyages' creative approach to cruising can be found in nearly every aspect of the line's three ships, including its adults-only vibe and fresh approach to dining. Virgin Voyages does not have a traditional main dining room – and there's no onboard buffet or large dining halls. What you will find is more than 20 eateries with menus created by Michelin-starred chefs that are included in the cruise fare. These smaller and more intimate venues include The Galley, a food court-style spot for casual and grab-and-go fare like bento boxes, tacos, salads, sushi, burgers, noodle bowls and desserts.

Meat lovers and vegetarians will love the veggie-forward dishes and indulgent pork or chicken specialties at boldly designed Razzle Dazzle. At Extra Virgin, sample trattoria-style Italian fare like crispy artichokes, seafood pasta, grilled Mediterranean sea bass and a special tableside preparation of affogato for dessert. For a Korean barbecue experience, head over to Gunbae, a fun spot where your evening begins with a shot of soju – Korea's national drink and the best-selling liquor in the world. The Wake is the largest venue on board and the closest restaurant to a main dining room; it sits at the back of the ship and features a raw bar in addition to a selection of steaks and seafood (some offerings come with an upcharge).

There are many excellent options for dinner, but these are two cruiser-favorite venues:

  • The Test Kitchen: Inspired by Auguste Escoffier's "Ma Cuisine," The Test Kitchen is a favorite spot for its laboratory-like eatery and cooking school. The interior decor features metal furniture, beakers and test tubes to get diners in the mood for the exploratory culinary evening. Menus at this innovative venue are presented as a list of ingredients, and guests get to watch the chef combine the selected ingredients of the day for the six-course tasting menu. The upscale experience takes about 2.5 hours. Wine, beer or cocktail pairings come at an additional fee.
  • Pink Agave: Virgin's stylish Mexican dining venue, Pink Agave, was inspired by the vibrant streets of Mexico City – and the restaurant features what the line calls the most extensive selection of mezcal and tequila at sea. The menu offerings include small, medium and large plates plus desserts. To begin the evening, order a few small bites to share, including esquites (a grilled corn dish) and aguachile, which is a ceviche made with raw tuna, avocado and jicama. Then, for the main course, choose between options like roasted duck or chicken, achiote marinated pork, or a vegetarian stuffed poblano pepper.

Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity's selection and quality of restaurant venues – and attentive service – have made the line a favorite for food-focused cruisers for many years. If you're sailing on one of the Celebrity Edge-class ships ( Ascent , Beyond , Apex or Edge ), you'll have up to 32 restaurants to choose from with globally inspired menus created by Michelin-starred chef Cornelius Gallagher.

You can also look for special culinary cruises and onboard events designed in partnership with renowned Michelin-star French chef Daniel Boulud, the line's global culinary brand ambassador. Some of the onboard programs include wine-blending classes, whiskey and scotch tastings, mixology classes, and food and wine pairing workshops.

With so many complimentary dining and specialty options on Celebrity ships (making it hard to choose where to dine), here are two of the unique experiences not to be missed:

  • Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud: Daniel Boulud's first signature restaurant at sea is inspired by the chef's global travels. The interior of the specialty restaurant, designed by the Parisian architect-design team of Jouin Manku, is as much of an experience as the meal with its intimate decor and banquette seating. Guests can choose between a standard dinner menu, a regular five-course tasting menu or a plant-based tasting menu. Le Voyage is available on the new Celebrity Ascent and Celebrity Beyond and costs an additional fee.
  • Le Petit Chef: The innovative and fantastical 3D dining experience at Le Petit Chef is one of the most unique ways to spend an evening at sea. The immersive meal, which is either served in the quirky Qsine restaurant or Le Grand Bistro, depending on the ship, will delight cruisers of all ages, especially younger children. The tiny, animated chef (think about the size of your hand) entertains guests while preparing each dish. You may see him firing up a grill to sear a steak, picking fresh vegetables from a garden or even going on a fishing adventure in search of lobster. After each dish is prepared by "the chef," waiters will arrive with the actual dish. The 1.5-hour-long experience is an additional cost.

This Luxury Cruise Line Is Putting Its Best Ship on a 180-day World Cruise — and It Visits 43 Countries and 81 World Heritage Sites

Oceania Cruises is pulling out all the stops for its newest trip around the world.

Paul Brady is the news director at Travel + Leisure and the brand's expert on cruise travel. He has been covering the travel industry for more than 15 years for outlets including Condé Nast Traveler , Skift , and The Huffington Post .

The company recently announced its 2026 world cruise, which is scheduled to visit an astonishing 101 ports in 43 countries, over 180 days.

What’s more, Oceania will offer this epic trip aboard its newest ship, Vista , a 1,200-passenger vessel that launched in 2023. That’s a major change for the industry, which typically operates super-long world cruises using older ships.

“It’s a very unconventional idea,” said Oceania president Frank A. Del Rio, in an interview with Travel + Leisure . “We never thought of putting Vista towards a world cruise.”

Del Rio said his perspective changed after talking to guests aboard Vista last year. The ship, which was the line’s first new vessel in more than a decade, is also one of the largest in the Oceania fleet — which in turn means it has more space, more amenities, and even bells and whistles like a pickleball court .

“All of our guests really like this ship,” Del Rio explained. “They said, ‘If you put Vista on a world cruise, maybe we can talk.’”

The result of that informal survey is the 2026 trip, a six-month odyssey that will start in Miami, circumnavigate South America, cross the Pacific Ocean, and spend extended time in Australia and Southeast Asia. The voyage then continues to India and the Middle East — current plans call for visits to Oman, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates — before transiting the Suez Canal. The final few months of the grand voyage take in the Mediterranean Sea and the British Isles, before an Atlantic Ocean crossing brings Vista back to Miami.

“It’s just an awesome itinerary,” Del Rio said, pointing out that the trip takes in an eye-popping 81 UNESCO World Heritage Sites. “We try to mix it up as much as possible.”

While many world cruisers are retirees who have the time — and budget — to make the trip, Del Rio said Oceania has had some early interest from younger guests.

“People are seeing that this is the most effective way to see the world,” explained Del Rio. “You're starting to hear people in their fifties and sixties say, ‘I'm selling everything and I'm going to spend the rest of my life on a cruise.’”

Or, at the very least, 180 days.

Rates for Oceania’s 2026 world cruise start at $58,000 per person.

Coordinates of elektrostal in degrees and decimal minutes, utm coordinates of elektrostal, geographic coordinate systems.

WGS 84 coordinate reference system is the latest revision of the World Geodetic System, which is used in mapping and navigation, including GPS satellite navigation system (the Global Positioning System).

Geographic coordinates (latitude and longitude) define a position on the Earth’s surface. Coordinates are angular units. The canonical form of latitude and longitude representation uses degrees (°), minutes (′), and seconds (″). GPS systems widely use coordinates in degrees and decimal minutes, or in decimal degrees.

Latitude varies from −90° to 90°. The latitude of the Equator is 0°; the latitude of the South Pole is −90°; the latitude of the North Pole is 90°. Positive latitude values correspond to the geographic locations north of the Equator (abbrev. N). Negative latitude values correspond to the geographic locations south of the Equator (abbrev. S).

Longitude is counted from the prime meridian ( IERS Reference Meridian for WGS 84) and varies from −180° to 180°. Positive longitude values correspond to the geographic locations east of the prime meridian (abbrev. E). Negative longitude values correspond to the geographic locations west of the prime meridian (abbrev. W).

UTM or Universal Transverse Mercator coordinate system divides the Earth’s surface into 60 longitudinal zones. The coordinates of a location within each zone are defined as a planar coordinate pair related to the intersection of the equator and the zone’s central meridian, and measured in meters.

Elevation above sea level is a measure of a geographic location’s height. We are using the global digital elevation model GTOPO30 .

  10. List of wines and beer under Simply More?

It takes months or years to rotate through some of the wines. Anything left over from one cruise season is just warehoused until the next. Nothing on the current " by the glass " wine list will change for quite some time. As ORV pointed out, absolutely nothing changed on 10/1 as far as the wine list was concerned.

  11. Actual Oceania Wine List Prices for Bottles

There's also a decent Carmenera for $28 base. However, in my budget planning, I allow $40 per bottle with grat. If you bring your own wine to table, there is no gratuity on the corkage fee. Thus, if you also like Charles Shaw, your cost is $28 --$25 for the fee and $3 for the wine.

  12. Wine price list

Expand. 2.
