January 3rd, 2021: Jan 16, 2022: Togo RV user reports that Overnight RV Parking is allowed. This policy was confirmed in person with an associate the same day. The user stayed on site the same day. Togo RV user commented: The other review said something about the West side of the Chevron. As you face the store/gas station on the right is a field that has a real estate office sign out fron and on the building. When I asked the clerk at the store if I could stay on the left side of the building, just off the blacktop in the dirt she said that was fine. She also suggested I stay on the front of the lot to the left. There is an old store(?) With 3 spots in front. One had a big rig. I stayed next to the street so I could open my slide. Another travel trailer pulled in next to me for the night. Street noise fied fiwn after 10pm. I hardly heard the trains. -- Jan 3, 2021: RVer reports that Overnight RV Parking is allowed in large dirt & gravel lot due W of Chevron Station, confirming 9 earlier reports from Oct 2008 thru June 2018. Permission not required for this lot, also used by trucks. Lot has level spaces, is moderately quiet, and is not brightly lit. Lot can be muddy following rain, especially at W end of lot. Quietest at W end of lot, furthest from Chevron. Subway on site. --. Contact Info: (928) 422-3540

ABOUT THE SNOW CAP

Juan and Mary Delgadillo established the Snow Cap Drive-In in Seligman, Arizona in 1953 along Route 66.  The building was built by Juan, along with his father and his brothers, out of scrap lumber he collected while working for the railroad.  Juan retired from the railroad and worked everday at the Snow Cap until the day he died, June 2, 2004 at the age of 88.  Juan became well-known through many magazines and newspaper articles as one of the co-founders of Historic Route 66.  He was cherished by tourists for the antics he pulled on them while they were trying to order food and drinks. 

Many people will stop and say that the place is the same as it was when they came here as a young person.  Today, visitors from Europe, Germany, Japan and other countries, as well as those from the United States seek the nostalgia of Historic Route 66 and the jokes that are famous at the Snow Cap. 

Juan and Mary's son, John, and daughter, Cecilia, along with other family members try to continue the tradition so their grandchildren and great grandchildren will be able to grow up knowing the legacy that comes with this family business.  In loving memory of Juan, Mary and Bob Delgadillo .

Westside Lilo's Cafe'

Mouth watering dishes that will drive you back to RT 66 in Seligman. The family restaurant specializes in serving good quality food and a taste of German specialties. Offer daily specials and homemade soups that continue to drive repeat business. The restaurant today has quite a following. Lilo has been baking her giant cinnamon rolls, fresh bread and world famous carrot cake since the first day of opening her restaurant. Relax in the down home setting of the treasures brought to Seligman  that consists of many memories of Germany. The large hutch in the restaurant, pictures of her family and old utensils found in the cellar are just a few things that help to create the atmosphere in the restaurant. The large elk and mountain lion were additions from her grandson, Rocque, as hunting is a passion of the Russell family.

The World Famous O.K. Saloon / Roadkill Cafe

The World Famous O.K. Saloon / Roadkill Cafe is located conveniently next to Historic Route 66 Automotive shop (see local services under "area information").  The Roadkill Cafe' is an adventure in dining and is famous for its char-broiled burgers, bbq ribs and the best USDA choice center cut top sirloin streaks. Here you can enjoy anything from a bowl of soup, or a buffalo burger to a charbroiled 10 oz steak and everything in between. They are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.  Their gift shop offers a variety of "Unique Roadkill Cafe Items" souvenirs - shirts, candy and many other unique gifts.  Before you leave make sure to pick up a t-shirt and a souvenir menu (which includes things like Awesome Blossom (chili cheese fries), No-Luck-Buck (French Dip) and Big-Bagged-Stag (10 oz. steak), so when you tell people you ate at the ROADKILL CAFE they will believe there is such a place!  Great opportunity to take photos of the areas wildlife that covers their walls with mounts from local hunters. Black Cat Bar

Seligman's World Famous Black Cat Bar has been a part of Seligman since the early 1900’s and is one of Northern Arizona's most storied institutions. This famous cowboy hangout, situated directly on Historic Route 66 in the middle of the town of Seligman, boasts of the 4th oldest liquor license in the state.  It has become an internationally recognized and highly acclaimed destination place for travelers of Route 66.  On any given day you'll find tourists, local folks, and even cowboys from surrounding ranches, gathered to partake of a cold beer or favorite drink, play a friendly game of pool, or just hang out. Best Pizza on Historic Route 66!  Just east of town you will find the Pizza Joint right next to the Stagecoach 66 Motel.  The Pizza Joint is a welcoming and comfortable restaurant that serves great food - not just pizza, but the hand-tossed pizza and salad are so good you may never want to try anything else.  They also serve a large selection of beer and spirits to go with your meal.  The Pizza Joint is one of the most fun places to visit in Seligman because they have live music a few nights a week!  Within the last few years the Pizza Joint has become a fast favorite of locals and tourists alike.  Open from Noon to 9pm you can call for pick-up orders and they do deliver when they can.  Large groups should call in advance to ensure timeliness of your order after arrival.

Grand Canyon Caverns

One mile up the paved cavern road off Route 66 is the cavern tours building which also houses a very special restaurant and adjoining curio shop. This is a "must stop" on Route 66. The employee's  that work there are friendly,. You get all of our food in a reasonable amount of time. You will be  impressed about this location by the friendly staff and be joked around with while waiting. Good food, good service a good place to stop, and the bathrooms are clean. You will  definitely stop again. Like all A&W, you need to get a signature root beer float as they produced a mug from the freezer you will not  remember ever having a better one, The service is with a smile, friendly, competent - couldn't  be a better experience - and  the price is right!

Also is a convenience store and gift shop for a quick stop on the way to the Grand Canyon.  A nice fast food stop.  Awesome & FUNNNNNYYYY staff, great food!
