Can you resell Taylor Swift tickets? Where to buy and sell Eras tour tickets

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is arriving to the UK after the pop star announced two more Wembley dates in August after the show sold out within minutes.

The award-winning singer will play a total of eight nights at Wembley Stadium – equalling a record held by Take That – leaving ‘Swifties’ another chance to buy tickets after the singer for her additional show dates on 19 and 20 August.

This has left some fans wondering if they can exchange, swap or resell their tickets for the new dates of the tour.

Where to buy tickets?

Those who previously registered for Swift’s shows in London received an email notification on 14 November, giving them access to ticket sales for her record-breaking tour.

Ticketmaster and AXS are the official websites to purchase tickets with listings for the newly announced concerts suggesting the general sale for the 19 August show went live on 14 November, while sales for 20 August should start on 15 November.

Those lucky enough to secure their spot in the crowd will also get to see rock band Paramore perform, who is billed to be the opening act.

Can you resell Taylor swift tickets?

While prices start at £58.65 for the cheapest seated tickets, fans can pay as much as £194.75 for seats closer to the stage.

Fans can resell their tickets at the official resale facilities provided by the official ticket agents – Ticketmaster or AXS –from 1 August 2023, according to the Ticketmaster website .

There are also three VIP packages available ranging from £222.60 to £387.40 and these tickets can also be resold.

In addition to the official resale facilities, fans will also be able to transfer their tickets with friends and family via the Ticketmaster app or website.

But dates for ticket transfers have not yet been released and fans will be notified much closer to the date of the shows via email.

With the demand for tickets so high, tickets on websites such as Viagogo and Stubhub already have tickets being resold, with some listings as high as £869.

But the Ticketmaster website warns that tickets found to be purchased outside of their official ticket office will not be valid for entry into the concerts and will be cancelled.

The Eras Tour so far

Swift, 33, has previously announced six dates at Wembley Stadium on 21, 22, 23 June and 15, 16, 17 August.

The singer will also star in shows in Edinburgh on June 8 and 9 in Murrayfield, before heading south to play in Liverpool’s Anfield football stadium on June 13, 14, 15 – and in Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on June 18.

The Eras Tour is currently set to gross over $1bn, which would make it the highest-grossing live tour of all time, eclipsing Elton’s John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.

Meanwhile, the film version of the tour – a recording from her concert in Los Angeles – broke the record for the most profitable concert film in history, one week before its release.

Swift’s new tour is a homage to all of her albums to date, where she performs songs from each album.

Taylor Swift fans seething as official resale tickets for Eras Tour cost over £600 in cruelest of all summers

Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour - Santa Clara, CA

Swifties have endured one hell of a journey over the last few months trying to bag a ticket for the UK leg of her Eras Tour .

The Shake It Off megastar is touching down in the UK on June 7 in Edinburgh, with Paramore as special guests, before taking herself, Hayley Williams – and what is sure to be all the party vibes – over to Liverpool and Cardiff before ending in London on June 21 for three consecutive nights.

It’s been a heroic effort from fans trying to bag tickets , with some dubbing the whole process as similar to The Hunger Games.

But with AXS and Ticketmaster gatekeeping tickets to see Taylor in concert, some aren’t totally happy with the cost of the show.

Fans who had pre-ordered Taylor’s tenth studio album Midnights were given an access code for the tour’s presale, which happened three weeks ago.

For the general admission sale – which went live two weeks ago – fans needed an access code, before heading into the ticket queue. This was a total pot luck scenario, and if you didn’t have a code, you hadn’t a hope.

Taylor Swift fans seething as resale ticket for Eras Tour cost over £600 in cruelest of all summers

But for the lucky few who have managed to bag themselves a golden ticket, it’s sure to be a mighty show, as fans have even caused earthquakes with their feel-good feet-stomping fun. Yep, really.

The setlist will include many a bangers in a three-hour journey through her albums, starting with Lover, and ending with Midnights.

How much are Taylor Swift resale tickets?

For those who were unlucky in the general sale and pre-sale windows, there is one last chance to bag yourself a ticket. Except this will set you back over £600. Yikes.

Do you need a code to buy Taylor Swift resale tickets?

Unlike with other ticket sales, you do not need a code to purchase resale tickets for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. All you need is a Ticketmaster or AXS account… And £600.

Incredibly – or not so, when you look at the cost – the queue is tiny to get tickets right now, which are currently at ‘low availability’ in Edinburgh and London.

You will climb to the top of the single digit queue within minutes if you head to Ticketmaster right now.

But the only tickets left are the same price as a VIP package, at around £662 per ticket.

After speculation about whether resale would be taking place, AXS revealed people could resell unwanted tickets – but only directly through Ticketmaster and AXS – last week.

This led to a drip-feed of tickets becoming available on the website as of yesterday, when the resale opened. Since, some fans have taken to social media with their dismay at the expensive options available.

I thought the whole point of @TicketmasterUK only resale for Taylor Swift was to cap price inflation 🤡 Not £700 each 😭 @TicketmasterCS #TaylorSwiftTheErasTour pic.twitter.com/HhbU2BejcJ — Matilda (@matildahead_) August 1, 2023

One said: ‘Why are Taylor tickets so expensive? Only the young? More like only the rich at this point ! I’ve been trying so hard to get tickets for my sister at a reasonable price. She’s so sad.’

Another said: ‘Taylor Swift tickets are so expensive that if my daughter tries making enough money for it herself she would throw our household into the next tax bracket.’

One fan who was selling their ticket screenshotted the process, which showed she couldn’t flog it for more than its original price of £90.75.

This led some to wonder where this huge price jump was coming from.

One Swiftie pointed out: ‘Yes I thought it would be face value + fees, £730 is horrendous?! The most expensive tickets were the £660 VIP but that’s still so much more than face value – and they aren’t listed on resale as VIP? It’s so rubbish.’

When can you buy resale tickets for Taylor Swift’s London Eras Tour dates?

eras tour resale uk

There is another chance to get tickets for the UK leg of Taylor Swift’s Eras tour with a resale being held on Tuesday.

Hundreds of thousands of seats at some of the country’s largest stadiums sold out in minutes when they went on sale on July 17 - including her six dates at Wembley Stadium.

Fans were subjected to a booking process that required a pre-registration code and also required a loophole that meant the buyer had to attend - which caught out some who had asked a relative to book for them.

However, unlucky fans will get another chance on Tuesday. Ticketmaster and AXS will be holding a resale from 4pm and all one needs to do is register with the sites in advance and then be prepared to wait in a lengthy queue.

Tickets are being sold by buyers who wish to sell their tickets. Potential sellers have been emailed by Ticketmaster and AXS with instructions and the ticket websites have confirmed that tickets are only able to be resold via official partners.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Eras tour and when you can buy resale tickets.

eras tour resale uk

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is coming to London. It's been extremely highly anticipated, with tickets selling out in minutes after going on sale.

But seeing Taylor Swift is still possible with resale tickets going on sale. There has already been controversy over tickets after a section in the terms and conditions related to the 'lead booker' stated that the person who booked the tickets had to be present at the gigs.

This initially crushed any hopes of getting tickets through resale, but Ticketmaster has now given a further update which has been shared on The Eras Tour UK & Ireland Twitter page, an account dedicated to news about the latest tour.

Ticketmaster has said that although the terms, put in place by event promoter AEG, mentioned the lead booker needing to be present, there would be an opportunity to resell unwanted tickets, but only via official partners - Ticketmaster, AXS or directly through the venue's website.

The only way to obtain tickets is now through Ticketmaster, AXS or directly through the venue's website. The authorised resale of tickets will begin on August 1 via the aforementioned sites.

Fans who have tickets to resell will be notified when the time comes to transfer them. There will also be a cap on the price of resale tickets. To get tickets, all you have to do is be registered with Ticketmaster or AXS and hope for some good Karma.

The Eras tour comes to Wembley on June 21, 22 and 23, and August 15, 16 and 17, 2024. It's an homage to Taylor's musical eras and explores her different albums throughout the years. The tour is running for more than a year, having started on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona.

Taylor Swift fans will have another chance to bag tickets to The Eras Tour today (Tuesday August 1) as ticket resales commence.

Those who have already purchased tickets to any of the American megastar's 13 UK dates will have the opportunity to resell them from 4pm today. Fans can see the Shake It Off hitmaker perform in stadiums across London, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff next June and August.

Both presale and general sale tickets could be bought from either AXS or Ticketmaster - and both sites will be allowing resale today. Ticketholders will be emailed with further information on how to resell their ticket if they wish.

Fans who had pre-ordered Taylor's tenth studio album Midnights were given an access code for the tour's presale, which took place only three weeks ago. Those hoping to take part in the general sale, which went live just two weeks ago, needed to register for an access code. It was down to luck as to whether they received a code or were put on a waiting list.

But people attempting to buy resale tickets today will not need an access code, Ticketmaster and AXS have confirmed. However those wanting to buy any tickets still left in the general sale will need to use their original access codes.

Ticket demand for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has been incredibly high

The ticket agents also said there will be a cap on the price of resale tickets. To get tickets, all you have to do is be registered with Ticketmaster and AXS ..

Promoters AEG told the Manchester Evening News ahead of the resale: "Through official resale facilities, ticket resale prices are capped to help combat the inflation of ticket prices and put a stop to ticket touting. For more information on official resale facilities, fans should visit the website of their approved ticket agent.

"These resale facilities enable fans to sell their tickets with confidence and empower fans to purchase resale tickets with the assurance that the ticket they are purchasing is genuine. Any tickets found to be purchased via re-sale on the non-official secondary market will not be valid for entry into the concerts and will be cancelled in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale."

It was initially thought that resale wouldn't be possible after a 'lead booker' clause in the terms and conditions stated that the person who booked the tickets had to be present at the gigs. But Ticketmaster said that although the terms, put in place by event promoter AEG, mentioned the lead booker needing to be present, there would be an opportunity to resell unwanted tickets, but only via official partners - Ticketmaster and AXS.

The resale comes after Swifties had a stressful time attempting to purchase tickets to The Eras Tour - Taylor's first string of live UK shows in six years. From virtual queue issues, to discovering that only £600 VIP tickets were left in the general sale, the experience was a mixed bag. Some were elated with their tickets, while others were gutted to have missed out.

Hopefully the fans attempting to purchase resale tickets today will have some good luck.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster and AXS .

Pop sensation Taylor Swift is bringing her highly-anticipated Eras Tour to the UK next summer and fans have already been scrambling around to get tickets, with some disappointed they couldn't bag some the first time round.

But the good news is that the official ticket resale starts today (Tuesday) at 4pm, allowing Swifties a second chance to grab tickets. Initial ticket pre-sales started on July, 10 but sold out in minutes for each of the singer's ten UK dates.

Taylor Swift will be taking to the stage in venues in London, Liverpool, Cardiff and Edinburgh, with AXS revealing last week that there would be an opportunity to resell unwanted tickets, but only via official partners ( Ticketmaster and AXS ) or the venue website.

The initial ticket sales racked up some controversy when the terms and conditions stated the 'lead booker' must be present, which suggests the person who purchased the ticket had to be present, causing potential problems.

But Ticketmaster responded to the issue and said that although the terms, put in place by event promoter AEG, mentioned the lead booker needing to be present, there would be an opportunity to resell unwanted tickets.

Taylor Swift's reign continues as she ramps up for the next leg of The Eras Tour. The singer-songwriter will kick off the European portion of her world tour in Paris in May, which will continue throughout the summer. From there, she'll return to North America to tour Canada and a few remaining US cities in the fall. If you're hoping to attend, we've compiled all of the details of The Eras Tour, including how to get Taylor Swift tour tickets.

Swift's Eras Tour has taken the world by storm since March 2023. The three-plus-hour tour features hits from each of Swift's album eras, from "Lover" to her recent Grammy Award-winning "Midnights." Each show also features surprise songs and occasional guests, so fans never quite know what they're in for. Swift will release her latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," in April, but it's unknown if any of those songs will make their way to the tour setlist.

Getting tickets has become its own battle and many fans have waited hours in the Ticketmaster queue to hopefully snag some seats, if they could get a presale ticket code in the first place. While Swift continues to extend the tour, including new US dates, tickets remain hard to come by.

Below, we've put together a guide on everything to know about The Eras Tour, including the tour schedule, ticket purchasing details, resale ticket prices, and the concert film streaming options . You can also peruse resale vendors like StubHub and Vivid Seats at your leisure.

Taylor Swift North American tour dates

The Eras tour will return to the US on October 18 in Miami. In addition to the Miami shows, Swift will perform multiple dates in New Orleans and Indianapolis. On November 14, Swift will head to Canada for several shows in Toronto and Vancouver. All North American shows start at 7 p.m. local time.

How much are Taylor Swift tickets?

Ticket prices vary by date and location. International resale tickets tend to be a bit cheaper than US resale tickets. It's worth noting that some of the cheapest tickets have restricted views.

Taylor Swift has a variety of opening acts, from up-and-coming singers to established groups. Opening acts vary by date. For the European leg of the tour, Paramore will open for Swift. In the US and Canada, Gracie Abrams will be the opening act.

Will Taylor Swift add more dates to the Eras Tour?

Taylor Swift already added additional stops to her tour due to popular demand, including her US tour dates this fall. She also added additional dates to some of her European city stops, including bonus performances in France and the United Kingdom, among other locations. It's unknown whether Swift will end up adding even more tour dates, but by the end of the upcoming US leg she will have been touring for almost two years, so fans shouldn't be surprised if she takes a break.

Listen to this article

Ever since Taylor Swift announced The Eras Tour , British fans have been wondering one thing: Is the tour coming to the UK?

On March 17th, Taylor Swift launched her highly anticipated The Eras Tour to widespread critical acclaim. The stadium tour is Taylor's first time on the road since 2018 and it's her first concert experience since she released Lover , folklore , evermore , Fearless (Taylor's Version) , Red (Taylor's Version) and Midnights . With 44 songs it's also her longest tour setlist to date.

Demand for The Eras Tour was so high that Ticketmaster crashed during the presale for the US dates with over 3.5 million people attempting to buy tickets. In the end, 2.4 million tickets were sold breaking the all-time record for the most tickets sold for a tour in a single day. As a result, it's no surprise that many fans in the UK are also desperate to see Taylor.

Will Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour setlist be the same in the UK?

Will Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour setlist be the same in the UK?

Historically, Taylor rarely edits her setlists much from country to country. Taylor currently performs two surprise songs on The Eras Tour each night, while the setlist remains the same. However, given that The Eras Tour is already Taylor's biggest tour to date, and will likely have significant gaps between legs, anything is possible.

As it stands, Taylor Swift and Speak Now are almost entirely absent from The Eras Tour setlist but it doesn't have to stay that way. Taylor is set to release Speak Now (Taylor's Version ) on July 7th and it's possible that Taylor will add more Speak Now songs to the setlist once her version is released.

The setlist could possibly have some changes by the time it reaches the UK.

What do you think? Will you be getting tickets to see Taylor in the UK?

Global superstar Taylor Swift is bringing her Eras Tour to the UK next summer and fans eagerly await the start of the ticket resale event that takes place today.

Initial ticket pre-sales started on July, 10 but sold out in minutes for each of the singer's ten UK dates at venues in London, Liverpool, Cardiff and Edinburgh. leaving many fans disappointed.

After much speculation about the possibility of resale events taking place, AXS revealed last week that there would be an opportunity to resell unwanted tickets, but only via official partners: Ticketmaster , AXS or directly through the venue’s website.

When the resale event launched at 4pm today, over 2000 fans queued for tickets just minutes after the virtual waiting room opened, but many were left disappointed as resale tickets failed to appear.

Ticketholders who were trying to sell unwanted tickets on also reported problems and delays while waiting to sell.

As tickets finally began to appear on Ticketmaster and AXS at 9pm this evening, fans took to Twitter to share their frustration about ticket prices, with resale for London selling for as much as £763.40 each.

Fans were also frustrated by the Ticketmaster 'resale fee' which looks to be upwards of £70 for some transactions.

The frenzy of the initial ticket sales also attracted controversy after fans spotted a 'lead booker event' clause in the terms and conditions which suggested that the person who purchased the ticket had to present at the show, causing potential problems for anyone who had paid for tickets on behalf of someone else.

In response to the furore, Ticketmaster shared a statement saying that although the terms, put in place by event promoter AEG, mentioned the lead booker needing to be present, there would be an opportunity to resell unwanted tickets, but only via official partners - Ticketmaster , AXS or directly through the venue's website.

How to get Taylor Swift resale tickets for The Eras Tour at London and Cardiff

T aylor Swift's Eras Tour is more than just a concert series - it's become a global sensation. Taylor has performed in many countries and to millions of fans, earning her the title of Time Magazine's Person of the Year.

The tour has already covered large parts of North and South America, Japan, and Australia. There are still shows to come in Asia, Europe, and more in America. Most excitingly, Taylor Swift will be performing eight times in London's Wembley Stadium and another show in Cardiff's Principality Stadium this year, and tickets are still available.

Getting hold of Eras Tour tickets has been tough for Swifties. They sell out almost as soon as they're released, and with London tickets first going on sale on June 18 last year, you might think there are no more chances. You can keep an eye on Ticketmaster and AXS for official tickets, as fans who can't attend may resell theirs. But these are likely to be snapped up very quickly, reports MyLondon .

Alternatively, consider resale ticket websites. Viagogo and VividSeats are selling Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets. These sites allow you to browse at your own pace, as tickets put up for sale by fans stay available until they're bought.

At the time of writing, the cheapest ticket on Viagogo is £310. There were about 600 left for each date when we looked, but new ones keep popping up. On VividSeats , the cheapest ticket was $592, which is roughly £466.

A spokesperson from Viagogo spoke to Express.co.uk about people's worries over using resale tickets. They said: "The European leg of Taylor Swift's Eras tour has been long anticipated. We've not seen anything like this since The Beatles and with tickets having only just gone on sale, demand is at its peak right now."

" Viagogo is a regulated marketplace where fans have the freedom to buy and sell tickets to their favourite live events, safely and securely, backed by a guarantee. Sellers on our marketplace may list tickets at high values when demand is high, but prices can change and tend to reduce over time.

"We recommend Swifties wait for demand to settle and check regularly for a listing that meets their budget. Tickets for Taylor Swift's UK dates have already sold for as low as 172 GBP on our platform. Also, tickets listed at eye-catchingly high levels rarely, if ever, sell."

AXS also made a statement: "The only way to obtain a valid ticket for Taylor Swift's shows is via the approved ticket agents. In the UK, the approved ticket agents are: Ticketmaster, AXS or directly through the venue's website. In Ireland, the approved ticket agent is Ticketmaster. Any tickets found to be purchased via re-sale on the non-official secondary market will not be valid for entry into the concerts and will be cancelled in accordance with the terms and conditions of sale."

"Through official resale facilities, ticket resale prices are capped to help combat the inflation of ticket prices and put a stop to ticket touting. For more information on official resale facilities, fans should visit the website of their approved ticket agent," they added.

You can get Taylor Swift Eras Tour tickets from Ticketmaster , AXS , Viagogo and VividSeats .

Taylor Swift tickets LIVE: Updates as resale gets underway for Eras Tour UK shows

Fans have another chance to get tickets for the star's 2024 UK shows in London, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff with official resales kicking off on Ticketmaster and AXS

  • Updated 18:02, 2 AUG 2023

The star will be performing 14 shows across the UK in 2024

Taylor Swift fans have another chance to get tickets for the highly-anticipated UK leg of the star's Eras Tour after ticket resales got underway on Tuesday, August 1.

Last month saw thousands of Swifties scrambling for tickets through Ticketmaster and AXS for Taylor's shows in London, Edinburgh, Liverpool and Cardiff next year, with seats selling out within minutes. The huge demand for tickets led to a strict process being put in place when it came to buying them, which meant that only a select number of people who had pre-registered with the providers and were given a unique code could get access to the sales.

However, any fans who were left disappointed last month will be pleased to hear that they will not need a registration code in order to get the chance to buy resale tickets, after buyers were given the option to sell their tickets via one of the official providers from Tuesday evening. To get tickets, all you will need to do is be registered with Ticketmaster or AXS - and be prepared to wait in a potentially lengthy virtual queue.

Any ticketholders who want to sell their Eras Tour tickets will receive an email from their provider with more information on how to do so. Both Ticketmaster and AXS have previously confirmed that tickets are only able to be resold via official partners, which is either of these providers or directly through the venue's website, and that resale ticket prices will be "capped".

However, resale prices have already attracted criticism from some fans on social media as shoppers spotted eye-watering ticket prices of up to £763.40 each. Hopeful fans have also been warned that ticket availability at any one time depends on how many fans are reselling their tickets, so it's worth checking back on Ticketmaster and AXS regularly for new listings.

The star's Eras Tour kicked off in March and is now set to run until August 2024, with a total of 131 concerts across five continents celebrating all of Taylor's studio albums including her most recent Midnights. The shows were met with unprecedented demand for ticket sales - leading Taylor to announce 14 new tour dates, including three more shows in the UK.

We will be bringing you live updates on the resale below.

How do you get resale tickets?

Another reminder for anyone hoping to find tickets for the Eras Tour in the resale: unlike last month's general sale, you do NOT need a registration code to be in with a chance of buying tickets.

All you need to do is visit the official ticket provider websites, Ticketmaster or AXS , where you can check for resale tickets going on sale - you will likely need to sign up for an account if you don't already have one. Remember, the number of tickets available depends on how many people are selling them, so keep checking back on the websites as more are likely to appear in the coming days.

Reminder: Every UK date on the Eras Tour next year

Taylor will be playing in Edinburgh, London, Liverpool and Cardiff next year with a total of 13 dates across the UK. Here's the full list of shows in 2024:

Customers demand AXS 'sort it out' as payment issue sees them lose out on tickets

Many fans are continuing to report the same problem when attempting to buy Taylor Swift tickets in the AXS resale, saying that the website would not allow them to pay due to a "problem" with their card - meaning that they missed their chance to snap up tickets.

One frustrated fan addressed AXS on Twitter: "Fancy sorting your payments out for the Taylor Swift resale please? I just had two tickets and tried to pay four times with two different cards and it kept giving me error messages each time! How else are we supposed to pay exactly?"

Another person fumed: "Twice now I've had resale tickets for Taylor Swift and my payment methods haven’t been accepted. I've tried debit cards, credit cards, my boyfriend's cards, and now it thinks I'm a bot on both my phone and computer. I’ve logged out, cleared the cache, nothing's working!"

And a third AXS customer asked: "Did anyone else have difficulty using AXS to get Taylor Swift tickets cos I've tried multiple times and it keeps saying my card details are wrong when they aren't." Several people replied to confirm they had encountered the same issue.

While AXS have been messaging a small number of affected customers directly on Twitter, they have yet to comment publicly on the apparent widespread issue. Meanwhile, fans have been piling on the pressure for the provider to issue an update or fix the problem so they don't miss out on more resale tickets.

Why are some resale tickets so expensive?

The Ticketmaster website explains: "Fans can't resell a ticket for more than they originally paid on our Ticket Exchange - some will simply be selling a ticket type like VIP or Platinum, which have a higher face value than a standard ticket."

Meanwhile, AXS states that there is a 10% price cap on all tickets resold via its website. However, it appears that there are a number of transaction fees in place - which has seen some fans charged over £60 in addition to the price of their ticket, WalesOnline reports .

One fan purchased four tickets at Price Level 3 and was billed £440.45 in total. However, in their confirmation email, they could see that the tickets themselves cost just £95 each.

The fan's full cost breakdown reads:

  • Tickets: £380.00

Facility Fee: £10.00

Service Fee: £47.60

Transaction Fee: £2.85

Total: £440.45

This could explain why some fans have seen single tickets selling for much more than their general sale price.

Fans hit out at 'disgraceful' ticket resale prices

Despite Ticketmaster and AXS saying that Taylor Swift fans would have the chance to buy resold tickets at face value, many people have reported extortionate prices on the websites since the resale opened yesterday.

The Daily Record reports that resale prices for the most expensive VIP package, It's Been A Long Time Coming, were in excess of £800 - around £150 more than their face value price of £660 - while others complained that regular tickets had also been bumped up in price.

One fan lamented on Twitter: "Two resale tickets became available in the perfect seats for Taylor Swift Eras Tour but £400 each! I would love to go but that's a whole holiday."

Warning for anyone buying tickets from third parties

Anyone buying tickets for the Eras Tour away from official sites has been warned that they risk being denied entry to the concert amid a crackdown on ticket scalpers.

This means that you can only buy tickets from Ticketmaster, AXS, or directly from the venue for it to be valid. The terms and conditions on the AXS website state: "Your ticket(s) will immediately become invalid if resold or offered for sale unless the sale is through the official ticket agent fan to fan exchange.

"Tickets sold via third parties and other unauthorised outlets, including online auction sites, are not valid for admission. The resale of a ticket via unauthorised outlets renders it invalid and may lead to refusal of entry."

The ticket provider adds: "Ticket sales are limited to a maximum of four per access code and customer. Only tickets purchased through approved ticket agents (Ticketmaster, AXS, and official venue ticket agents) are valid for admission. The venue reserves the right to refuse admission."

Ticketmaster issues message to customers hoping for resale tickets

Ticketmaster has issued a message to all fans accessing its website in search of Eras Tour tickets after many have been left disappointed that they were unable to find any resale options.

The text, which pops up on the side of the screen on the concert ticket pages, reads: "Ticket availability is extremely limited, and some ticket options will be unavailable. You may be able to purchase resale tickets from fans who can no longer attend. Check back often as resale tickets can be added up to the day of the event."

When we searched the UK tour dates on Ticketmaster at around 2pm, there were no available resale tickets. However as Ticketmaster states, this situation will constantly change as and when people decide to list their tickets for sale on the site, so it's worth checking back at regular intervals if you can.

AXS customers continue to encounter 'payment problem'

An issue first reported yesterday appears to be continuing to affect AXS customers today, with multiple people posting on social media that the website won't allow them to pay for resale tickets.

Others have complained of a persistent issue that affected many Taylor Swift fans in last month's general sale: the AXS website wrongly identifying them as a bot and stopping them from getting onto the website.

"AXS are a joke. Had multiple different Taylor Swift resale tickets in my basket and they just refuse to take the card and then call me a bot and dont let me try to buy from any other date," one person fumed on Twitter.

Another fan asked AXS: "Can you please help! Trying to buy Taylor Swift tickets and keep getting error and payment error messages!"

And a third Twitter user said: "This is happening to many people, where we have our tickets in the basket, but when we pay it says card declined. AXS won't answer us, and we don't know what to do!"

Several fans shared screenshots of the error message they have been faced with, which reads: "Payment Problem: Sorry, we were unable to complete your order due to a problem with your payment method. Please double-check your payment info and try again, or use a different payment method."

More joy for Taylor Swift fans in ticket resale

Welcome to day two of the Eras Tour ticket resale - while things may have been delayed by a few hours yesterday, more fans have been reporting success this morning as they finally managed to nab tickets.

"AHHH I'VE BEEN ON TICKETMASTER AND AXS ALL NIGHT AND MORNING WAITING FOR A TICKET TO BE PUT ON RESALE AND FINALLY GOT ONE," one person wrote on Twitter. "Don't give up on your dreams!"

If you're looking for resale tickets today, visit either Ticketmaster or AXS to find your show and see if any are available. Unlike the general sale last month, you don't need a registration code to be in with a chance of buying tickets.

Success for fans as they snap up tickets in the resale

Among the chaos and frustration of this evening, there have been some success stories with overjoyed fans taking to social media to celebrate getting hold of tickets in the resale.

One person wrote on Twitter: "I'm going to see Taylor Swift at Wembley! Finally managed to snag a ticket after surviving the great war with the Ticketmaster resale."

And another fan said: "To the person who sold the Cardiff Taylor Swift tickets on the resale - thank you so freakin' much! I can't believe I finally managed to get tickets after what feels like months of trying."

To the Swifties out there still hoping to get tickets, keep checking Ticketmaster and AXS as people will be continuing to put their tickets up for sale in the coming days. Good luck!

Update on ticket transfers as resale gets underway

Anyone hoping to transfer their Taylor Swift tickets rather than resell them will have to wait until closer to the event, organisers have confirmed.

Transferring your ticket allows you to give it to a specific person, rather than putting it up for general sale. On Ticketmaster , you can transfer tickets directly from your account to someone else's from your desktop or mobile.

However, while the resale opened this evening, the option to transfer is not yet available. According to ticket providers, this option will be made available to customers much closer to the time of the concerts - so you will need to hang on to them for now.

AXS customers report 'payment issue' when buying resale tickets

Several people attempting to get hold of resale tickets on AXS have reported experiencing payment issues as they attempted to make their purchases this evening - which led to them losing out.

I got through, put them in my basket and it wouldn't accept my payment. Then the tickets went. Happened to other people too. Nothing wrong with my card," one AXS customer said on Twitter.

A second fan raged: "Got all the way through to choosing seats at Wembley for Taylor Swift, then AXS decides to not accept FOUR different payment types, losing my tickets. I'm actually fuming, I know all of those cards work and I correctly imputed the right details."

"Wouldn't take my card payment," someone else complained, while another person shared a screenshot of AXS informing them of a "payment problem" and asked whether others had encountered the same issue.

Warning issued to fans buying VIP packages in ticket resale

Fans purchasing VIP packages in the resale have been warned that they will not get the Taylor Swift merchandise included in the original package with the price of their ticket.

According to a message on the AXS website, any 'VIP packages' bought in the resale will only include a ticket to the concert, while the merchandise will be sent to the original buyer. This means that people could pay up to £763.40 just for a single ticket if they buy the most expensive VIP package in the resale.

Resale tickets selling for up to £763.40 each

Fans have criticised the eye-watering prices popping up in the resale, with some sharing screenshots on social media of tickets being sold for as high as £763.40 on Ticketmaster .

This is around £100 more than the face value of the most expensive VIP package, 'It's Been A Long Time Coming' which sold for around £660 in the general sale and included "exclusive" prints and merchandise.

Resale tickets 'very limited' on AXS

Fans joining the queue for Taylor Swift tickets on AXS are being met with a message telling them that the number of resale tickets is scarce this evening.

The message, posted at 8:52pm, reads: "Please note that the availability of resale inventory is very limited at this time." Meanwhile, many more people appear to be catching wind of the fact that the resale is live, as the queues are now going down a lot more slowly than before.

No resale tickets currently showing up on Ticketmaster

Although Ticketmaster is now giving customers the option to resell their tickets and shoppers can choose to filter by "resale tickets only" when trying to get a spot at one of Taylor's concerts on the provider's website, you'll have to be lucky to find some this evening.

We have checked several of the shows, including in Edinburgh and London, and found that no resale tickets are currently available via Ticketmaster. As the company explained earlier, the amount of resale tickets up for grabs will depend on how many people choose to sell their tickets and when they do so.

With the resale being delayed by a few hours this evening, it's possible that a lot of people may have given up trying to put their tickets up for sale tonight - but more are likely to appear in the coming days.

If you really want to get your hands on tickets, it's still worth checking back on Ticketmaster whenever you can - you may get lucky enough to catch some resale tickets before they are snapped up.

AXS resale ticket prices for Edinburgh

We have managed to get through to the AXS website for the show at Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium on June 7, 2024, and ticket prices start from £143 to upwards of £500.

The cheapest tickets are for seats in the PL3 tier, which cost £143.43. These tickets are sure to sell out soon and there are currently only 22 resale tickets available for this show, so if you're hoping to get them you'll have to be quick!

Visit the AXS website to pick your show and join the queue.

Resale is LIVE: AXS queue un-paused and Ticketmaster launches resale tickets

Good news to all the patient Taylor Swift fans out there still hoping for another chance to get tickets tonight - the resale finally appears to be live!

AXS has un-paused its queue to allow people to access its ticket sales for the Eras Tour UK shows - nearly five hours after the event was supposed to begin.

Ticketmaster is now also showing the option to "include resale tickets" when browsing for Taylor tickets on its website - which was not an option before. Several people have also reported being given the option to resell their tickets within the last half an hour or so.

Still no sign of resale tickets as fans brand process a 'joke'

More than four hours since today's resale was supposed to start, according to fans there is still no sign of any resale tickets appearing on Ticketmaster and the queue to get into the sales on the AXS website is still paused, as it has been since around 4:10pm.

Fans have been left understandably frustrated by the day's events, after the ticket providers confirmed that the resale would be "available to all customers" from 4pm. However, social media is awash with people saying they have either not been able to find any resale tickets, or have not been given the option to resell their tickets.

Customers are continuing to call upon Ticketmaster and AXS for an update on the situation. One person tagged both providers and wrote on Twitter at around 8pm this evening: "What's going on with Taylor Swift The Eras Tour resale??"

Another upset fan remarked: "AXS, is there any point in waiting in this queue that has been paused for hours? I honestly think it is despicable putting genuine fans through this."

"What is actually going on with this Taylor Swift resale, I'm so confused," another person commented.

Latest update on Ticketmaster and AXS resale

Three hours on since today's resale supposedly went live, here's the latest status on both Ticketmaster and AXS as there appears to have been no change since 4pm.

Ticketmaster

Many fans have complained that they have been unable to find any resale tickets on the Ticketmaster website this afternoon, with multiple people also claiming that they have not been given the option to resell their tickets.

The ticket provider has informed fans on Twitter: "Official resale tickets will only show as available to purchase if any ticket holders have chosen to list theirs for sale."

However, several customers have not been satisfied with the response. One person replied: "People are saying they aren't getting the option to resell, would like to know if it's happening today."

Another added: "Yeah I don't have the option to resell... so Ticketmaster please fix this."

The queue to access Taylor Swift resale tickets on the AXS website remains paused, with no movement since around 4:10pm. AXS has not given any update on why the queue has been paused or when fans can expect it to reopen, but the situation has sparked frustration on social media.

One Twitter user said: "Any particular reason why the queue has been paused and no one is giving us any answers about Taylor Swift???"

Another person fumed: "If AXS don't un-pause the Eras Tour tickets soon we're gonna have some Bad Blood."

Fans hit out at Ticketmaster as resale tickets fail to appear on site

Fans have continued to complain to Ticketmaster , with no resale tickets appearing on the site despite the provider saying that the resale would open at 4pm today.

Ticketmaster replied to one frustrated fan on Twitter, explaining: "Official resale tickets will only show as available to purchase if any ticket holders have chosen to list them."

However, the customer hit back: "But I can see so many people saying they're trying to relist and nothing is on the website? I'm not the only one having this issue either, I can't find one person who has had success since 4pm."

And another person trying to sell their tickets responded: "We aren't given an option to list them, it just says unavailable."

We will continue to provide you with live updates as we get them, but at the moment it looks unlikely that any resale tickets will be available this evening either from Ticketmaster or AXS - where the queue is still paused.

Fans ask AXS for update as queue still paused two hours later

With no resale tickets available on Ticketmaster, Taylor Swift fans have asked AXS for an update on when it will unpause the ticket queues on its website - which have not been moving since about 4:05pm.

"Any news when the Taylor Swift resale will be unpaused please?" one person asked on Twitter.

Another said: "Will you be unpausing the resale tickets queue for Taylor Swift? I've been in the queue since 4pm."

And a third fan added: I've literally been waiting for 90 minutes in the PAUSED AXS resale queue for the eras tour. Taylor Swift I won't give up on you!!"

Ticketmaster issues update on resale tickets

Ticketmaster has issued an update on the current situation regarding resale tickets in a reply to a fan's query on social media.

The ticket provider said on Twitter: "All standard tickets will require a code to purchase. If there are any official resale tickets available, these won't require a code to purchase. Resale opened today but there will only be resale tickets showing available if any ticket holders have chosen to list them."

However, people with tickets to sell are still reporting that they have not been given the option to do so by Ticketmaster.

"When will the option to resell be available? Been waiting to upload some since 4 and still waiting," one person asked the provider.

Another said: "Why doesn't it give me the option to resell my Taylor Swift tickets?" It has not yet been confirmed why this is the case for some customers or whether the issue will be resolved today.

'No tickets available' for Eras Tour UK shows on Ticketmaster

Ticketmaster now appears not to be offering any tickets for at least four of Taylor's UK shows, despite there being "limited availability" according to the provider's website.

We have so far joined the queue for two of Taylor's Edinburgh shows and two of her Wembley shows, only to be met with a message stating that there were "no tickets available" once we got through to the sale page. It appears that fans wanting to resell their tickets are still not able to do so, according to multiple reports on social media.

"Why can't people put their Taylor Swift tickets up for resale when it was supposed to happen from 4pm today?" one person asked Ticketmaster on Twitter at around 5:15pm.

Earlier, there were VIP packages on offer for multiple dates - however, these were 'locked' and only available to purchase by those who had received a registration code in last month's general sale.

Thousands more fans join Ticketmaster queues as AXS remains paused

Ticketmaster queues are growing as fans scramble to get resale tickets - while the queue on AXS is still paused, one hour after the sale was supposed to begin.

Selecting Taylor's Wembley Stadium show on August 17 next year saw us taken through to a queue with "2000+" people ahead of us on the Ticketmaster website. It's not yet clear whether resale tickets have become available, after earlier reports that people had not been given the option to sell their tickets by the provider.

Meanwhile, as of 5pm, we are still at the same place in the queue on AXS for Taylor's show at the Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on June 7. The queue has been listed as "paused" for around 50 minutes.

Steer clear of ticket reselling scams

Social media sites including Twitter are currently awash with resale ticket offers, with many people claiming that they have bought extra tickets or can no longer make the shows.

With Ticketmaster and AXS seemingly playing up in today's resale, it may be tempting to stray away from official routes to get hold of tickets - but it's important to exercise caution. Without carrying out careful additional checks, there's no way of knowing whether these sellers can genuinely offer you tickets and you could end up getting scammed out of a large sum of cash.

As well as this, Ticketmaster and AXS have previously said that only tickets resold through official partners will be accepted at the concert venues - meaning that you risk being turned away if you buy from an unreliable seller. Here are some more top tips on avoiding online ticket scams from Barclays :

  • Seek out secure sites - Make sure the website you purchase tickets from is secure – look for the padlock symbol in the browser window. The web address should begin with ‘https’ (the ‘s’ stands for secure) and if you’re using the latest version of your browser the address bar should turn green, too.

Beware of copycats - Fraudulent websites can often be very sophisticated and sometimes look almost identical to the real thing. ‘Try to do as much research as you can to ensure that the provider or person you are buying from is exactly who they say they are.’ For example, if you’re unsure whether a site is credible, check the company’s office address and landline number – it shouldn’t just be a PO box. Incorrect spelling and grammar or low quality imagery can also be signs of a bogus site.

  • Crowdsource opinions - Check for customer reviews of online ticket retailers on sites such as Feefo. Be wary of duplicated comments as this could indicate a company isn’t genuine. Equally a lack of reviews could be a warning sign.
  • Be safe on social - Buying tickets through social media can come with risks – as verifying that someone is who they say they are or that tickets are genuine isn’t easy. In 2015, 21% of ticket fraud was instigated on Facebook and 22% on Gumtree. Try to buy event tickets from box offices, official agents or reputable ticket exchange sites wherever possible.
  • Don't rely on search rankings - Be careful not to trust a website just because it comes high in search engine results. Fraudulent sites can occasionally feature highly by mistake, giving people a false sense of security. Make sure you go through the regular checks no matter where the site ranks.
  • Protect purchases by paying on credit card - If you use your credit card to buy items costing more than £100 (up to £30,000), you’re covered if something goes wrong with your purchase. This gives you an extra safety net if your tickets don’t arrive.
