Disney Cruise Menus

by Prof. Cruise · Published January 30, 2022 · Updated June 12, 2023

A bunch of Disney cruise menus with text that reads: Disney Cruise Menus.

There’s something you should know about me that might surprise you. I went on a Disney cruise before it was cool. In fact, I went on a Disney cruise before Disney Cruise Line even existed! You’re probably asking yourself two questions at this point: “how?” and “just how old is she?!?”

At 10 years-old I went on my very first cruise, a “Disney cruise” onboard Premier Cruise Line (they had a partnership with Disney that allowed characters on their ships and offered cruise, hotel, and theme park packages). I was reminiscing about that first cruise today with Paul Thornton as he interviewed me for the third in his series of cruise books and thought to myself, “even though I’m cheaper than Jack Benny (that should offer you a clue as to my age) and low-key hate Disney (Walt would want you to go easy on me in the comments), as someone who cruises for a living I really shouldn’t have let 30+ years go by between Disney cruises.”

disney cruise fantasy menus

So that got me thinking about planning a Disney cruise. And since food is one of the most important aspects of cruising, I was curious as to whether the quality and variety of food on Disney would justify the extra cost. I figured some of my readers may be wondering the same, so I reached out to a Disney loving cruise buddy and he sent along these recent menus (these specific menus are from the Dream and the Fantasy – other ships will vary slightly, but this will still give you a basic idea of what to expect).

He also sent me a primer on “rotational dining,” which I think sounds pretty unique and fun.

What’s “rotational dining” on Disney cruises?

It’s like speed dating with food! Disney ships have three main dining rooms with a different menu and theme. Each evening of your cruise you will rotate to a different restaurant (assigned to you in advance) with your same table-mates and wait staff. In looking over the menus posted below, the three dining rooms are: Animator’s Palate, Enchanted Garden, and Royal Palace. There’s also a pirate theme night that will take place in one of those dining rooms and I’ve included that menu as well.

I’ll spare you any further song and dance (you’ll get plenty of that if you decide to book a Disney cruise) and get straight to the menus. But if there’s anyone reading who has cruised on Disney, please chime in in the comments with your experience and your favorite menu items.

Disney Cruise Line’s Breakfast Menu (included)

This breakfast menu will be available in one of the main dining rooms and is included in your cruise fare.

Disney Cruise Line’s Animator’s Palate Diner Menu Menu (included)

Aminator’s Palate is one of the three main dining rooms you will “rotate” through for dinner. If you are on a Disney ship other than the Dream or the Fantasy the dining rooms will have different names.

Disney Cruise Line’s Enchanted Garden Dinner Menu (included)

Enchanted Garden is one of the three main dining rooms you will “rotate” through for dinner. If you are on a Disney ship other than the Dream or the Fantasy the dining rooms will have different names.

Disney Cruise Line’s Royal Palace Dinner Menu (included)

Royal Palace (called “Royal Court” on the Fantasy) is one of the three main dining rooms you will “rotate” through for dinner. If you are on a Disney ship other than the Dream or the Fantasy the dining rooms will have different names.

Disney Cruise Line’s Pirate Night Dinner Menu (included)

On most Disney itineraries there will be a Pirate-themed night that will take place in whatever restaurant you’re assigned for that night. Here’s the menu:

Disney Cruise Line’s Kids Menus

Here are the kid’s menus for a 7-night sailing. Each menu will also include an additional page with activities for kids to complete while waiting for their meal to arrive. Or for adults who forgot to charge their phone.

This is the kid’s menu for Pirate Night:

Disney Cruise Line’s Room Service Menu (included)

Room service is included for free on Disney cruises (except for specialty items noted below), but be sure to tip. I typically tip $2 per item ordered, but do whatever you’re comfortable with.

Disney Cruise Line’s Room Service Breakfast Card (included)

Hang this room service card on your stateroom door the night before and have a continental breakfast delivered the next morning at your chosen time.

Disney Cruise Line’s Flo’s Cafe Menu (included)

This complimentary outdoor cafe offers three food stations with the following options:

Disney Cruise Line’s Frozone Treats Menu (extra charge)

Cool off with a frozen beverage at Frozone Treats. Smoothies are currently priced at $3.95 for a small and $5.25 for a large.

Disney Cruise Line’s Palo Dinner Menu (extra charge)

This adults-only Italian specialty restaurant offers a prix fixe option for $45 or you can order à la carte.

Disney Cruise Line's Palo Dinner Menu 2022 page 1

Disney Cruise Line Remy Dinner Menu (extra charge)

At $125 for the prix fixe option (you can also order à la carte), Remy stands out as the most expensive specialty restaurant at sea. The French-inspired offerings are the work of two world renowned chefs, Scott Hunnel, from the award-winning Victoria & Albert’s at the Disney World Resort, and Arnaud Lallement, a Michelin 3-starred chef recently named one of the world’s 10 best chefs by  Le Chef .

Disney Cruise Line Remy Dinner Menu 2022 page 1

These menus almost make me want to get a real job so I can afford them! That seems extreme though. Instead I think I’ll start subtly working on my in-laws, tugging gently on their heart strings: “Your grandson will love you more if you take us all on a Disney cruise!”

If my next post includes a photo of me pouting in 30-year-old Minnie ears with a “DONATE HERE TO SEND PROF. CRUISE ON A DISNEY CRUISE” button, you’ll know it didn’t work. And with that…

CLASS DISMISSED.

Homework (10 points): Share your thoughts on cruising Disney in the comments. If you’ve taken a Disney cruise, what did you think? If you haven’t, why not? Tips? Tricks? Highlights? Worth the higher cost? Not worth the higher cost? Favorite menu items? I want to hear it all! I love learning from my cruise friends, especially when they know way more about a topic than I do! Thanks in advance!

7 Night Eastern on Fantasy Dining Menus

Earning my ears.

  • Jan 30, 2022

Hi everyone! It’s been a few years since I did a 7 night Eastern Carribean on the Fantasy and our booking window opened, so I am trying to decide what night to book Palo dinner. I know after the first 3 nights, the menus are unique to the theme for that night, and last time there was night that they did lobster tail and I definitely don’t want to miss that. Does anyone know if they keep the same schedule of what night is what menu? And if so, does anyone know what the menus would be nights 4-7? I can even google the menus, just wanting to know if say night 4 is the Captain’s dinner menu or the Pirate menu for example. Thanks!!!

It's not still true. The menus don't work like that anymore. Instead, each of the main restaurants has two menus that are exclusive to that restaurant. You'll eat at each restaurant twice, and you'll have a third night at one of them for the pirate menu (or some other special menu, such as Star Wars). An example eastern cruise: Night 1 - Rotation #1 (AP) Night 2 - Rotation #1 (EG) Night 3 - Rotation #1 (RC) Night 4 - Rotation #2 (Animation Magic @ AP) Night 5 - Rotation #2 (Prince & Princess @ EG) Night 6 - Star Wars Night 7 - Rotation #2 (Captain's Gala @ RC) I'm not sure which restaurant you would be at for Star Wars Dat at Sea. Anyway, the point is that there are no more ship-wide theme menus. You'll always have Animation Magic at AP, which is now a full menu instead of just starters, you'll always have Prince & Princess at EG, and you'll always have Captain's Gala at RC. So, if you want to plan around Captain's Gala for lobsters, then you'll want to request a specific dining rotation and then plan Palo around that. You might not get your requested rotation, but that's probably the best that you can do. It's been like this since at least 2019, but probably longer than that. The DCL Blog says that the full Animation Magic menu was born in 2018, so that's probably when they changed everything to the current system.

Thanks everyone! I called CS too and asked but all they have is the attire for each night, not what menu it will be.

Cute and fluffy.

We did SWDAS 1/15-1/22. It was supposed to be an Eastern (San Juan & St. Maarten) but got changed to a Western. Here was our dining rotation & menus: Saturday: Enchanted Garden - Signature menu (cruise casual) Sunday: Royal Court - Signature menu (cruise casual) Monday: Animators Palate - Signature menu (formal) Tuesday: Animators Palate - SWDAS menu (cruise casual) Wednesday: Enchanted Garden: Prince & Princess menu (cruise casual - this was also a light pirate night) Thursday: Royal Court - Captain's Gala menu (semi-formal) Friday: Animators Palate - Animation Magic menu (cruise casual) ETA: dress codes for each night

🤷🏻‍♂️

  • On the first 3 times at a restaurant, you get the "base" rotational menu for that restaurant
  • Captain's Gala (aka Lobster Night) whenever you'll be in Royal Court
  • Princes and Princesses whenever you'll be in Enchanted Garden
  • Animator's Magic (formerly See Ya Real Soon menu) whenever you'll be in Animator's Palate
  • As there are 7 nights, one of the night will feature a special menu - on the Fantasy - Pirates, except during Star Wars cruise where you have a Star Wars menu

The attire that the CS rep quoted me yesterday matched the 1/15-1/22 cruise above except mine is not a SWDAS cruise so the optional pirate dressed themed night is night 4.

I believe the rotations for the 7 night go 1231231 with 2nd (1) is pirate night so if your rotation is AERAERA then you’ll get crush night 1, pirate night in animators and last night would be Animation Magic etc.

So that you do not miss one of the above menus, you will be in the same restaurant on consecutive nights. Star Wars cruise always have the special menu/night on night #6 Semi-formal is usually on night #5. There is no "mandatory" attire in main dining room (cruise casual) but you can indeed dress up. Disney Fantasy Room Service Menu Essentials

Sharing is caring!

Are you looking for the Disney Fantasy Room Service Menu? Unlike some other cruise lines, room service is still free on Disney Cruise lines.

Here is a guide to the room service menu on the Disney Fantasy.

Disney Fantasy Room Service Menu Guide

disneyfantasyroomservicemenu

One of the great things about a cruise is how you get the chance to be pampered and just relax. It is great to be able to order room service on any of the Disney Cruise ships.

Whilst this article is written about the Fantasy, the room service menu is identical to the Disney Dream, Magic and Disney Wonder.

Whilst room service is tempting in the Disney hotels on land, it is expensive. However, the huge advantage of the room service on the cruise is that most of the items are included in the cost of your Disney Cruise.

When you arrive in your Disney Cruise stateroom you might actually wonder where the room service menu is. It isn’t obvious!

disneycruisealaskastateroom

However, it is easy to find once you know where it is. Look in your middle desk drawer in your stateroom and you will find a hard backed book.

This book gives you a lot of information about the ship and answers a lot of your questions for you. It also includes a deck plan.

disneyroomservicemenu

As you can see most of the items are free.

Soups and Salads

  • All Hands on Deck (Cheese Plate) A special selection of international cheese served with crackers

This is one of my favorite items on the menu. I like to order this for the Sail Away on the first day and for leaving any of the ports of call if I have a verandah stateroom.

You have probably eaten enough food at the Embarkation Lunch but it is so nice to sit on your balcony with some cheese and a glass of champagne for the sail away!

  • Fruit and Cheese Platter – $38 (NEW)Features a selection of Manchebo, Gruyere, Brie, Aged Gouda and Boursin cheeses accompanied with nuts, fruit, crackers and honey.
  • Nature’s Delights – $21 (NEW) Features a selection of seasonal fresh fruits and berries.

  • M&M’s
  • Buttered Popcorn
  • Salted Peanuts
  • Salted Cashews

Disney Cruise Room Service Breakfast

dineycruisebreakfastroomservice

You can call and order any of the items on the main menu 24 hours a day. However, there is a special menu for breakfast which you order by filling in the card and leaving it outside your stateroom before 3 am.

The choice is limited, but I like to order a room service breakfast at least once on a cruise.

Also if you really need your caffeine in the morning before you can function it can be a great idea to order the coffee for breakfast.

You can even do this from room service the night before as it stays hot for a long time, and you won’t need to be woken up to open the door to room service in the morning.

Your choice of the following delivered to your room from 7:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

  • Juices – Orange, Apple, and Grapefruit

Breads & Pastries

  • Danish pastries, Fruit & Bran Muffins, Croissants, Doughnuts, White/Whole Wheat Toast, English Muffin, Bagel
  • Assorted Jams, Honey, Butter, Margarine

Cold Cereals

  • Served with Whole or Skim Milk or Low-Fat Granola
  • Whole/Skim Milk, Chocolate Milk, 100% Colombian Coffee, Decaf, Assortment of Teas

These have an additional charge

  • Bloody Mary

Disney Cruise Room Service Tipping

disneyfantasyship

Remember that although most of the room service items are free, you should tip the person who delivers the food for you.

It is usual to tip at least $1 per plate. I keep $1 bills in the drawer for this, but you can just add it to your cruise account by using the paper slip that you will have to sign. You can add a tip onto that.

If you want more information about gratuities on a Disney cruise I have written Tipping on a Disney Cruise for you.
