I've been talking to Abans Tour and am pleased with their prompt replies, I'm on the verge of taking their tour in November but some negative reviews about this company online have made me worry as I have read there are many traps and mischief here and there in SL.

When I clicked on the website they showed in their email, Safari says that the server cannot be found. The website from their email is http://www.abanstour.com

Does anyone know about this company?

Well no idea about the website, http://www.abanstours.lk works well. But the tour company is amongst the top-10 in Lanka, had a very good transfer driver of them recently. Of course negative experiences can exist with any operator but with a large one like them they have a duty to maintain the reputation and should do their best to fix any problems...

Yes, I found http://www.abanstour.lk works but not the one they gave me in their email and that made me uncomfortable with. I'm worried that I'm talking to a non-existed company which is using Abans Tour's name.

Well then doublecheck the e-mail addresses at the .lk website and make sure they confirm this is legitimate. Identity theft for companies is still rare in Lanka but seeing the number of cases of other falsehood/fakes it is expected to grow...

I worked at the parent company a while back and they are genuine. But I m not so sure of the tour company as I have had no personal experience.

Thanks Treshi, I think I'll take their package but I need to finalize a few minor changes with them before paying the deposit.
