Step 1 Monitor who likes...

Are My Suggested Friends People Who Looked at My Profile?

Facebook doesn't suggest new friends based on who views your profile.

Are There Advanced Methods to Find My Top Viewers?

Step 1 Post tracking links to log peoples' IP addresses.

  • IP addresses change often, so the person viewing your profile most may not always have the same address. Still, if they aren't using a VPN or proxy , it should help you figure out their region.

Is There a Built In Feature on Facebook to Find My Top Viewer?

Step 1 Check your profile's source code.

What About the People at the Top of My Friends List?

Your top friends are the people you interact with most on Facebook.

  • It's also possible that some of your most frequent viewers are people you rarely interact with at all! Unfortunately, there's no way to know for sure.

Are There Apps That Can Show Who Viewed My Profile?

No app or browser extension can see who views your profile.

  • Apps that claim to show you who viewed your profile are usually designed to steal your information and possibly attack other users! Don't install any apps or browser extensions like this, even if they look legitimate. [5] X Research source

How to See Who is Viewing Your Facebook Profile: A Step-by-Step Guide

Curious about who’s snooping around your Facebook profile? You’re not alone. While Facebook doesn’t offer a straightforward feature to track profile visitors, there are some workarounds that will help satisfy your curiosity. In the next few paragraphs, I’ll walk you through a quick, easy guide on how to see who’s been viewing your Facebook profile.

Step by Step Tutorial: How to See Who is Viewing Your Facebook Profile

Before we dive into the steps, it’s important to know that Facebook does not provide a direct method for users to see who has viewed their profile. However, we can use the platform’s features and a bit of detective work to get some insights. Let’s get started.

Step 1: Open Facebook

Log into your Facebook account.

Logging into your Facebook account is the first step. Make sure you are on your home page where you can see your news feed before moving to the next step.

Step 2: Go to Your Profile

Click on your name to view your profile.

Once you’re on your profile page, you’ll be ready to explore the potential paths to see who might be checking out your profile.

Step 3: View Source Code

Right-click on the page and select ‘View Page Source’ or press ‘Ctrl+U’ (Command+Option+U on Mac).

This will open a new tab with a bunch of codes – don’t worry, you don’t need to understand them all.

Step 4: Find ‘InitialChatFriendsList’

Press ‘Ctrl+F’ (Command+F on Mac) to open the find feature and type in ‘InitialChatFriendsList’.

This code indicates a list of user IDs corresponding to your friends who’ve interacted most with your profile.

Step 5: Identify Profile Viewers

Look for a string of numbers followed by “-2” and copy the numbers before “-2”.

These numbers are the profile IDs of people who have viewed your profile. Copying these numbers will enable you to find out exactly who they are.

After you complete these steps, you can paste the copied numbers after ‘facebook.com/’ in a new tab to view the profiles of those who have visited your page. Keep in mind this isn’t an exact science but can give you an idea of who’s been checking you out.

Tips: How to See Who is Viewing Your Facebook Profile

  • Remember, the list you find may not be in exact order of who viewed your profile last.
  • The IDs you find are not only for those who’ve visited your profile; they could be from friends who’ve interacted with you most on Facebook.
  • Don’t trust any third-party apps that claim they can show you who’s viewed your profile—they’re not endorsed by Facebook and could pose security risks.
  • Periodically check the ‘View As’ feature to understand what parts of your profile are public.
  • Be aware of your privacy settings. The more public your profile, the less privacy you will have.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can i see who views my facebook profile.

No, Facebook does not offer a feature to see exactly who views your profile.

Are there third-party apps that can show me who viewed my profile?

While there are apps that claim to offer this service, they are not recommended due to privacy concerns and are not endorsed by Facebook.

If I can’t see who viewed my profile, what can I see?

You can see who has liked, commented, and shared your posts, as well as your friends’ activity on your profile, such as wall posts and tags.

Can someone tell if I’ve viewed their profile?

No, Facebook does not notify users when someone views their profile.

Is there any accurate way to see who viewed my profile?

Unfortunately, no. Any method used is just an approximation and should not be taken as an exact list of profile viewers.

  • Open Facebook and log in.
  • Go to your profile.
  • View the source code of the page.
  • Use the find feature to search for ‘InitialChatFriendsList’.
  • Identify and copy the profile viewer’s IDs before ‘-2’.

While the burning question of “who is viewing my Facebook profile” remains only partially answerable, the steps outlined above provide a glimpse into who could be paying extra attention to your online presence. Remember, your digital footprint is more public than you might think, and Facebook’s privacy settings are there to help you manage it. As always, exercise caution and skepticism when it comes to third-party apps or dubious online tools that promise more than they can deliver.

Whether it’s out of pure curiosity or for more serious reasons like privacy and security, understanding who might be looking at your profile can give you a greater sense of control over your online persona. Keep an eye on your privacy settings, be mindful of what you share, and remember that the online world is an extension of the real one, with all its complexities and nuances. Happy browsing, and may your Facebook voyages be both safe and satisfying!

How to See Who has Viewed Your Facebook Profile

How to See Who has Viewed Your Facebook Profile

If you’re an active user of Facebook , you might find yourself growing curious and wondering to yourself – who viewed my Facebook profile? It can be hard not knowing who is checking out your posts, photos, and information. While Facebook makes it easy for you to change your privacy settings , they don’t have a feature to see who looks at your posts in the way other social media sites/apps like Snapchat do.

Just a heads-up that some of the services we’re reviewing here have affiliate partnerships with us, so we may earn a commission if you visit one of them and buy something. You can read more about how this works at https://techboomers.com/how-to-support-techboomers .

There are many apps and services out there that claim to be able to tell you who has looked at your Facebook page, but why spend money on that when you don’t have to? We have an awesome, free method that can show you who has viewed your Facebook page. We’ll be discussing a few different topics:

Can you see who views your Facebook page?

How to see who views your facebook profile the most, are the results truly accurate.

  • Are there other ways to see who has viewed my Facebook profile?

Let’s jump in to the first section – who has really been looking at your profile?

There is a way to see who has been looking at your profile that doesn’t require downloading an app or anything like that. In the source code of your Facebook page, you can see who views it most. If you want to change who can see it, check out our tutorial on changing your Facebook privacy settings .

Now, let’s get into the step-by-step instructions for seeing who frequents your Facebook profile. This method can be done using any web browser on either Mac or PC.

1. Go to Facebook.com and log in to your account.

Using whatever web browser you prefer to use on your computer, open Facebook.com . Then, enter your email address or phone number and password to sign in to your Facebook account.

Providing your log in credentials for Facebook

2. Open your Facebook profile page.

Once you’ve logged in to your account, click your name in the top right corner to get to your profile page.

View your Facebook profile page

3. Right-click on the page, then click View Page Source .

Right-click anywhere in the blank space on the sides of your profile page. This will reveal a small menu. From the menu that appears, select View Page Source .

Viewing the HTML source code of a web page

PRO TIP: As a shortcut, you can also just press Ctrl + U on your keyboard. This works for most popular web browsers.

4. On your keyboard, press Ctrl + F . Then type in “InitialChatFriendsList”.

Now you should be at a page with a ton of words, letters, and numbers, which are the codes that make up your profile page. To most people, this page will be super confusing. To easily find the part of the code you need to use to see who looks at your profile most, hold down the “Ctrl” key on your keyboard and then press the “F” key.

How to activate the "find on page" function in a web browser

What this does is allow you to search for certain text on the current web page. As such, a text box will appear on your screen. In the text box, type in “InitialChatFriendsList” – but don’t include the quotation marks. Beside this code, you’ll be given a list of number codes that represent your friends’ profiles.

who visit your profile facebook

5. Copy and paste the profile ID numbers into the Facebook URL to see the results.

Now that you have the list of profile number codes, it’s time to find out who these codes represent. To do so, copy one of the numbers in the list to your clipboard. You can do this by clicking and dragging your mouse cursor across one of the numbers, then pressing the “Ctrl” and “C” keys on your keyboard together.

Then, click in your browser’s address bar and press the “Ctrl” and “P” keys on your keyboard together to paste the number into the Facebook URL. You need the regular www.facebook.com URL, followed by a “/” and then the code. For example, if the profile ID number was 12345, you’d enter the URL facebook.com/12345.

Checking a person's Facebook profile ID number

Repeat this last step to see the profiles of all the people who apparently view your profile the most.

Once you’ve finished going through all the ID numbers to figure out who’s supposedly been looking at your page, you might be wondering, do all these people really look at my profile? How often to they check it? Is this list really accurate? We’ll give you the scoop.

These results seem to be accurate in showing who has been looking at your Facebook profile the most. However, some people have debated that perhaps some people appear on this list because you interact with them through Facebook regularly, rather than them actually going to your page.

Try this method out and see what results you get, and you can decide for yourself! If you’re curious about other ways to find out who looks at your page most, we have some information on that next.

Are there other ways to see who views my Facebook profile?

You can try out some different apps or browser extensions to see if they work for you. There are many of these kinds of apps available that claim to be able to tell you who has looked at your profile. However, some of these apps are definitely phony.

We’d recommend checking reviews of these apps before you download them yourself. Some apps may exist solely with the goal of capturing people’s personal information to sell it to marketing companies or even to try to steal your identity. See what other people are saying about an app to find out if it seems legitimate first.

There are a few apps we’ve discovered that seem to have pretty good reviews, so they’re trustworthy and work for their intended purpose. Here are a couple we would recommend checking out:

1. Who Viewed My Facebook Profile? Stalkers? Visitors?

Who Views My Profile? app logo

The Who Viewed My Facebook Profile app for Android devices is free to download and use from the Google Play Store . You can see a lot of different information about your Facebook profile, including who viewed your profile, who likes your posts the most, who you like the most, and more. The app will not ask for your personal information, will not post anything on your timeline, and will not send your data to another server or company.

Download the app : Android

2. Who Cares Profile for Facebook

Who Cares Profile for Facebook app logo

The Who Cares app is a great option for iOS devices, available for free from the iTunes Store . You can see who makes the top of the list for viewing your profile the most. To reveal more people on the list if you’re curious enough, you can pay a one-time fee of $2.79 to see up to 35 profile visitors, $3.99 to see 50 visitors, or $5.49 to see a huge list of the top 100 visitors.

To use this app, you log in using your Facebook credentials, so you don’t have to enter any of your personal information. If you choose to make an in-app purchase, it goes through the iTunes store, so you don’t have to worry about anyone stealing your payment information either.

Download the app : iOS

Of course, there are many other apps out there in addition to these two we’ve mentioned. Do your own research before you choose which app you think is the best for you. Or stick to the original method following our instructions above! We hope this tutorial helped you satisfy your curiosity about who was looking at your page and get the answers you were looking for. How to See Who Visited My Facebook Profile (2024)

In this article, we’ll explore a few tricks for uncovering the visitors to your Facebook profile. Whether you’re interested in simply tracking your profile views or looking for ways to identify the individuals who have been checking out your profile, here are the most effective methods to try. Read on and find out what they are…

How to Find Out Who Viewed My Facebook Profile

While you may have run into a lot of online posts claiming there is an official way to check users who have viewed your profile – which is through Facebook mobile app on your iOS device, we’ve verified that the so-call Facebook new feature doesn’t exist.

Let’s take a look at what Facebook says about this on the official site:

Facebook doesn’t let people track who views their profile. Third-party apps also can’t provide this functionality. If you come across an app that claims to offer this ability, please report the app.

So Facebook doesn’t have a built-in feature that can be used to check who visited your profile page. While you might have seen ads run by third-party apps or websites claiming they can do it for you, we don’t recommend using this way. One reason is that they are not safe and in most cases, they won’t actually work. Another reason is that you might end up losing your account information when using third-party apps or extensions like this.

However, don’t give up just yet. There is one trick we can apply to get an idea of who viewed your profile page. (Before you proceed, note that while this method does show the names and IDs, it hasn’t been confirmed that these people are visiting your profile. But still, worth a shot!)

  • Log into your Facebook account.
  • Click your Facebook username in the top right corner to go to your profile page.
  • On your keyboard, press the Ctrl and U keys at the same time.
  • Press the Ctrl and F keys if you’re using a Windows PC, or press the Command (⌘) and F keys if you’re on a Mac.
  • Copy buddy_id   and paste it into the search bar.
  • Next to each instance of buddy_id in the results, you’ll see a user ID number and a person’s name. The names on this list might be the people who view your profile most.

Occasionally, you might notice someone who visits you constantly, say the person comments on or likes your posts frequently, and whose name doesn’t seem familiar to you, whether they are using a real name or a random username. So you might want to know who the stranger is.

The easiest way is to ask the person directly. But if that’s not an option for you, or if you suspect a Facebook user is cyber-stalking you and you want to find out the person’s real name, you can instead, using BeenVerified’s reverse username search to obtain detailed background information on the person.

All you need to do is enter the username into BeenVerified and it will generate a report which may include the person’s name, phone number, address, criminal records and more.

How to Uncover the Identity of a Facebook User

1. run a reverse username search with beenverified.

The easiest method to search for information on someone you met online is with a reverse username tool like BeenVerified .

BeenVerified  is one of the best people search tools. It combines a vast database of aggregated data from public records, social media accounts, and across the web.

All you need to do is enter the username in to the search engine, and see what comes back.

1. Go to  BeenVerified .

2. Select  Social Media Search , then type the username into the search bar and click  Search .

3.  BeenVerified   will return background reports associated with the search information you entered. The report might include the owner’s name, age, address, telephone numbers, criminal records, workplace, and more.

2. Run a deep search with Spokeo

Another powerful people search tool to use is  Spokeo . Spokeo gathers all available information from public sources and stores them in one database, providing an easy way to confidentially look up information about whoever you want to track down online using just a username.

1. Go to  Spokeo .

2. Type the username into the search bar and click  SEARCH NOW .

who visit your profile facebook

3.  Spokeo  then searches for profiles that match the username. You can check each profile page to see if that belongs to the person you’re looking for.

who visit your profile facebook

Aside from being one of the fastest people search sites,  Spokeo  is also affordable. A one-time name report – which includes address, email, phone number, location history, marital status, and family, costs only 95 cents if you opt into a free seven-day trial membership.

After the trial ends, make sure you cancel the service if you don’t need it anymore; otherwise, it bills you at $24.95 per month.

3. Cross-check different social networks

who visit your profile facebook

Most people use the same or similar usernames when creating new profiles on different social media platforms, so the same username might probably be found on sites like  Twitter ,  Snapchat ,  Instagram ,  Reddit ,  Facebook , and more.

Just search for the person’s username on different sites to see if you are able to pull up the person’s profiles or find lists of friends, images, and even personal information that matches the username.

who visit your profile facebook

By now, you've most likely noticed the many apps and Web services claiming to let you see who's viewing your Facebook profile. Is your college ex checking up on you? Is someone from work scrolling through pictures of your beach vacation? Are your parents secretly peeking in on your private life? These apps promise the answers.

Unfortunately, they don't deliver. Not a single one of them, and if you stumble into these sorts of apps, Facebook not only denies that they work but also asks you to report them .

You can be 100 percent certain that each and every app that says "See who views your profile!" or "stalker tracker" or anything else like that is virus -laden junk. These apps would like you to cough up your Facebook password, or they might install the ability to spam your friends via your Facebook wall. In some cases, malicious users can even use their junk apps to find your physical address [source: Stellin ].

Again: Be extremely wary of any service or app that claims to show you who's been viewing your Facebook profile. This functionality violates Facebook's privacy rules . If you've fallen prey to a purported stalker app (or any other type of Facebook malware), be sure to check out Facebook's instructions for revoking app access to your account.

That said, there are a couple ways to get clues and insights into who's been floating around your profile. You won't end up with the definitive list you're likely looking for but keep reading for tips and tricks that toe -- but don't cross! -- that fine line between natural curiosity and a massive breach of privacy.

Stat Trackers and Analytics

Analyzing facebook apps.

First, it's important to understand the lingo. There's a big difference between Facebook pages , Facebook profiles, and Facebook Stories.

Facebook Stories were introduced in 2017 as the company's way of countering the immense popularity of Snapchat. Stories are collections of photos and videos from the past 24 hours, and after a day, they automatically vanish, in a manner reminiscent of Snapchat. Users can see who has visited their Stories and even pinpoint which bits of content each visitor viewed. But again, a Story is not your profile [sources: Kelly , Sulleyman ].

Then, there are fan pages. Mark Zuckerberg & Co. allow business and fan pages to use varying kinds of analytics that allow operators to monitor page traffic and see where it's coming from. Profiles, which are supposed to serve simply for social functions, don't.

Facebook Insights is the easiest way to get a handle on your business or fan page traffic. Among other metrics, Insights tells users the number of people who like their page, how many people see a post and how many people clicked the post. It's already in the Facebook app directory, so simply search for it within Facebook, and you can have it installed with a couple of clicks. The problem, for those who want to stalk the stalkers, is that the company has imposed some limits intended to make it more difficult to determine precisely who's viewing and clicking your page and clicking your posts. For example, Page Insights are only available to pages with more than 30 likes and only provide demographic info once at least 30 visitors from the demographic have visited the page or post. There's also a 48-hour lag in the information provided, meaning you can't use it to figure out who's looking at your page, say RIGHT NOW.

If you want more full-featured analytics, you're going to have to get a little creative. One place to go for analytics is outside data monitoring sites like Webtrends . Simply set up an account, and Webtrends will return somewhat detailed analytics about the number and type of people viewing your Facebook business or fan page.

With a little finagling, you can also can install the gold standard of Web-tracking services, Google Analytics . This bad boy allows users to get finite data, like date, time and location, about visitors to their pages. First set up a Google Analytics account, and then add a new profile for your Facebook fan or business page. This requires a number of steps to integrate Google Analytics with the particular page. The good news is that Google has been kind enough to provide detailed instructions for doing that, as well as using tracking services on other social networks like Twitter.

black woman on phone

Designers know there's a market for Facebook apps that allow you to see who views your profile. And they also know that Facebook has strict privacy rules forbidding it. So many designers toe this line, bringing you right up to the edge of something resembling actual knowledge.

Typing the word "statistics" into the Facebook app directory returns a long list of traffic tracking apps , similar to Facebook Insights. Most of them aren't as good. But you'll find a rotating and ever-increasing list of gems that do things like mine your status updates for the words you use most. Just be sure to keep one important point in mind: These apps mine your profile for interaction. When someone "likes" a photo you post, comments on your status update or otherwise interacts with your profile, these apps know, and they may be able to build models of your most active friends. But if an ex-boyfriend is simply lurking around your profile, there's absolutely no way to tell, so don't believe the apps that tell you otherwise.

Be assured that app designers are constantly prodding Facebook for workarounds that take you past the Facebook privacy rules, and every once in a while, a designer finds an inroad. Generally, when this happens, an app that actually does return interesting information about your profile views has a ticking lifespan, which ends when Facebook finds out and shuts it down. For example, take Breakup Notifier, which claimed, "You like someone. They're in a relationship. Be the first to know when they're out of it." The app worked by mining your friends' relationship statuses.

In 36 hours, it attracted 700,000 visits and more than 3.6 million users [sources: Heussner , Tsotsis ]. And then, poof, it was gone within the week, squashed like a grape under the stiletto heel of Facebook, which blocked the app.

If you keep your eyes peeled, you might come across the next banned app before it's banned. Until then, learn to live with the fact that -- definitively, finally and with an exclamation point -- you can't see who's stalking you on Facebook, and that's the final word from straight from the Zuckerberg team.

Can you see who has viewed your facebook profile, how can you look at someone’s facebook without them knowing, how can i see what my facebook profile looks like to the public, is it illegal to view someones facebook profile, can you see what profiles you’ve viewed on facebook, lots more information, author's note: how to see who views your facebook profile.

Call us crazy, but we're gonna go out on a limb and say that at least some of the people who go to Google looking for information about how to find out who's viewed a particular Facebook page aren't doing so because they want to know who's "stalking" them, but because they want to be able to "stalk" other people on the social network with impunity. While some folks have speculated that regular visits to a profile will cause your name to come up more frequently in the user's "Find Friends" section and make you more likely to appear in the search toolbar if the person happens to type in the first couple letters of your name, these claims have never been proved. Translation: stalk away.

Can You Really See Who Viewed Your Facebook Profile?

Many tools promise to show you who has viewed your Facebook profile. Is this information really possible to see?

One of the biggest questions users ask about Facebook is whether you can see who has viewed your profile. In fact, a quick glance through search results shows dozens of apps and services that claim to let you see this information.

But should you believe them? Is there really some kind of way to know who viewed your Facebook profile? In this article, we answer that question, and dispel some of the myths surrounding this issue.

Can You See Who Looks at Your Facebook Profile?

Despite this being one of the oldest and most common Facebook myths, many users still have hope. But the official word from Facebook is:  No, there is no way to check who has viewed your Facebook profile.

Facebook has confirmed this in an answer on its Help Center , stating:

No, Facebook doesn't let people track who views their profile. Third-party apps are also unable to provide this functionality. If you come across an app that claims to offer this ability, please report the app.

There are many things that Facebook tracks, including your location, your browsing history, and a variety of other habits.

But the thing is, Facebook isn't doing all of this information tracking for you or your fellow users. It's doing this for the company's advertising platform. Therefore this information is not available for you to just browse through.

Read more: Ways Facebook Invades Your Privacy (and How to Stop It)

If Facebook did offer this information, you would know about it. Think of LinkedIn. Users who don't have a premium account often receive notifications that their profile has been viewed. To see who has viewed your LinkedIn profile , you can pay for the premium plan.

This fact is often advertised by the network. In contrast, Facebook does not offer this information to users. This is likely due to the fact that LinkedIn is a professional network, while Facebook is mostly personal.

Being able to view who visited your profile on Facebook could be embarrassing for those who did—especially exes, secret admirers, or acquaintances.

Offering the option to view profile visitors on Facebook would likely deter people from using the service. So the company does not offer this information through any app or public-facing source code.

Apps to See Who Viewed Your Facebook Profile

So, if there's no way to see who has viewed your profile, why do so many apps claim that you can? Much of this is linked to data harvesting.

The Cambridge Analytica scandal brought into focus just how much information can be harvested through apps. Facebook has cracked down on many dodgy apps, but there are always those that slip through.

Read More: Why Facebook's Privacy Scandal Might Be Good for Us All

The best-case scenario (which is still not great) is that these apps are using your data to sell to advertising companies. The worst case is that the apps are actually disguising malware. The latter case is especially alarming, since malware can be used to access credit card information and other sensitive data.

Either way, none of these apps are legitimate . And Facebook recommends that you report any app that claims to offer this feature.

If you've already installed one of these apps, there's still hope. If you want to know what to do to restore your privacy, read our guides on how to revoke app permissions on Facebook and what to do if your Facebook account has been hacked .

What Data Can You See on Facebook?

While Facebook won't let you see who has viewed your profile, there is other information you can obtain about your profile. But this is done through native tools within the Facebook website and not third-party apps.

Over time Facebook has become stricter with its data policy. As a result, many of the apps that gave summaries of profile information no longer work or have very limited functionality. Even well-known sites like Klout closed their doors .

The market for these types of services has decreased significantly. This is largely due to changing policies and the fact that people tend to be more wary about app permissions nowadays.

Despite this, you can still use a few Facebook tools to get an overview of certain information. This information doesn't have the same depth that older services had when policies were much laxer.

If you want a summary of your interactions with a Facebook friend, you can use the  See Friendship tool. You can access this tool by visiting your friend's profile page and clicking on the dropdown menu next to the message icon. You will see the option to see your friendship history, as well as older features such as poking.

The  See Friendship page aggregates your mutual tagged photos, wall posts, and friendship history. The amount of information on the page will differ from friend to friend.

Your Facebook Activity Log

If you want to see information about your personal activity on Facebook, you can visit your activity log. This log can be accessed via the top-right dropdown menu on the Facebook toolbar. Just go to Settings & privacy > Activity log .

Here you will see a summary of your posts, tags, interactions, and other information. You can also search through the log for specific activities, such as a location check-in.

If you have a Facebook Page with more than 30 Likes, you can also access the Facebook Insights tab to see more information on your Page's reach and followers. However, it's important to note that a Facebook Page is public, as explained in our Facebook Page vs. Group primer , and different to a personal Facebook profile.

The fullest overview of data that Facebook has about you will come from the  Your Facebook information page, which you can find in your settings.

You can use the  Access your information tab to get an overview of your activity on the platform, as well as other information the social network has about you.

You can also request and download a copy of your Facebook data .

What Else Does Facebook Know?

The one thing we do know is that Facebook has tons of data about you. But, that doesn't mean all this information is available to users.

One thing is for certain: Facebook doesn't let you see who has viewed your profile. And any tool promising to give you this information shouldn't be trusted.

who visit your profile facebook

In the age of social media, privacy has become increasingly important as many users are curious to know who has been viewing their profiles. For Facebook users, seeing who views their profile can be both intriguing and useful for various reasons. Although Facebook doesn’t provide an official feature to find out who viewed your profile, there are some workarounds that might give you some insights. Here are six ways to see who is checking your Facebook profile:

1. Friend Suggestions

One way Facebook might indirectly reveal the people who view your profile is through ‘People You May Know.’ This list presents individuals you might have mutual friends with or have interacted with previously. While it isn’t concrete evidence, this list could offer some clues regarding whose eyes are on your profile.

2. View As Public

A useful built-in feature on Facebook is the ‘View As’ function. This allows you to view your profile just as the public sees it. To access this feature, go to your profile and click on the three-dot icon next to the ‘Edit Profile’ button. Select “View As” and review your public profile; this will help you determine what content someone unfamiliar with you will see when they visit your profile. It may give insight into what attracted visitors to your page.

3. Facebook Stories

While Facebook Stories don’t directly reveal who visited your profile, they showcase who viewed particular stories you’ve posted. By monitoring these viewers, you can gather a list of people who frequently visit your profile.

4. Third-Party Apps

Several third-party applications claim to show a list of people who viewed your Facebook profile; however, you should use these apps with caution as none of them are officially endorsed by Facebook. Be aware that many of these platforms require access to your account information which may compromise security and privacy.

5. Google Analytics

If you manage a Facebook Page associated with a website having Google Analytics installed, you can use the analytics data to find out the number of visitors from Facebook. While this method doesn’t reveal specific individuals, it offers quantitative insights on how many people have accessed your profile.

6. Professional Help

In some cases, particularly for business profiles, hiring a social media marketing firm or professional could be beneficial. These individuals can provide you with various insights, including demographics and viewing stats for your profile, allowing you to better understand who views your page and when.

While these methods may not provide definitive answers for individual curiosity, they offer a broader picture of who is viewing your Facebook profile. Remember that Facebook frequently updates its features and security, so always practice caution when using third-party apps or sharing personal information.

How to Know Who Viewed Your Facebook Profile

who visit your profile facebook

If you didn’t change your privacy settings, the public will be able to see your Facebook profile.

Anyone will be able to see your posts, stories, and friends.

You can change your privacy settings by opening the Facebook app > Menu > Settings & Privacy > Settings.

If you’re very active on Facebook, you may get a lot of profile visits.

You may also be looking to know who viewed your Facebook profile.

That way, you’ll know who your “stalkers” are.

In this guide, you’ll learn if you can see who visited your Facebook profile and how to know who viewed your Facebook profile.

Can you see who visited your Facebook profile?

How to know who viewed your facebook profile, can people tell that i’ve seen their facebook profile.

  • Is there an app that tells you who visited your Instagram profile?

Can you see who visited your Facebook profile?

No, you cannot see who visited your Facebook profile because the app doesn’t let people track it.

Although Facebook doesn’t let you know who views your profile, you can post a story and see who viewed it.

Posting a story on Facebook allows you to see your viewers.

After you’ve posted a story, wait for a few hours and check who viewed it.

This is the best way to know who visited your Facebook profile.

Keep in mind that you can only see friends who viewed your stories.

You won’t be able to see the names of the public who viewed your stories.

Instead, they will be listed under “ Other viewers “.

It means people that you’re not friends with on Facebook that viewed your story.

You’ll only see “Other viewers” if you’ve set your stories to public.

If you’ve set your stories to private, the public won’t be able to see them.

How to know who viewed your Facebook profile

To know who viewed your Facebook profile, you need to post a story.

After you’ve posted a story, wait for some time and see who views it.

The people who view your story frequently are the ones who visit your profile the most.

They might be your friends or family.

However, if you’ve set your stories to public, anyone will be able to see them.

If someone that you’re not friends with on Facebook sees your story, they will be listed under “Other viewers”.

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to know who your “Other viewers” are because Facebook does not allow it.

Hence, it’s recommended that you set your stories to “Friends” so that only your Facebook friends can see them.

You can do this by tapping on creating a story > selecting a photo/video > Privacy > Friends > Save > Share to story.

Can people tell that I've seen their Facebook profile?

No, people cannot tell that you’ve seen their Facebook profile.

This is because Facebook does not have a feature for it.

In addition, there are no third-party apps that track this.

Hence, you don’t have to worry about visiting someone’s profile because they won’t know about it.

However, if you view someone’s Facebook story, they will know about it.

This only applies if you’re friends with that person.

If you’re not friends with that person, you’ll be listed as a viewer under “Other viewers”.

The names of anyone listed under “Other viewers” will not be revealed.

That said, there is a way to view someone’s story without them knowing.

It’s to view the person’s story using another account that is not friends with them.

Is there an app that tells you who visited your Facebook profile?

No, there isn’t an app that tells you who visited your Facebook profile.

According to Facebook, third-party apps can’t provide that functionality.

If you come across an app that claims to offer that functionality, you need to report it.

Currently, there are only apps that can track who unfriended you on Facebook.

For example, the “Still Friends” app has this feature.

It’s very popular on the App Store and Play Store with over 1 million downloads.

The app offers real-time updates and it’s as easy as one click.

Secondly, it has a clean and intuitive interface.

Lastly, your all-time history will be stored and synced with iCloud so you won’t lose it.

Keep in mind that the app is not associated with Facebook in any way.

However, Instagram trackers are more prominent because they have a feature to track your unfollowers.

If you want to prevent other people from snooping your profile, you can hide your Facebook photos from the public.

That way, even if the public visits your Facebook profile, they won’t be able to see your posts.

In some regions, you’ll be able to private your Facebook account, similar to privating your Instagram account.

Unfortunately, if you don’t have that feature, you need to manually modify your privacy settings.

Currently, it’s not known whether Facebook will roll out the feature globally.

Will you tell me that how can i check this in windows lumia phone?

Iam Facebook I’d recover

IT doesn’t work LOL!

It’s just a trial and error method, if an FB user has many any images public then Google may index the images. And if you search fine then you can find the user accounr.

searching the page source for BUDDY_ID or ChatFriendList will only give you names of persons on your friend list. Is there a way to see if strangers are viewing my page?

Can you really see who is looking at your Facebook page?

For years you've been told you can see who is looking at your facebook page, but here's the truth..

Anyone who has ever seen the infamous “…” that symbolizes someone writing a comment pop up on a Facebook post, only to have no comment materialize, understands how frustrating it is not to know who’s looking at your profile.

We post on Facebook to stay close to our friends and family, but unless someone likes or comments on your posts, there’s no way to knowing who actually sees what you post. Or is there? While Facebook’s algorithm ensures your reach is limited—by showing your posts to a small circle of your friends who have engaged with your posts previously—there’s no shortage of third-party apps out there that claim to answer the question “ who visited my Facebook profile.”

People naturally want to know who’s secretly crushing on their Facebook page. So we tested the best method for supposedly finding who’s looking at your Facebook page and checked out some third-party apps to find out what’s really possible. Here’s what we learned, and how to try it yourself.

Who visited my Facebook profile?

According to the hundreds of tutorials online, including some from well-known and respected sites, here’s how you see if someone is looking at your Facebook.

1. Go to your personal Facebook page and view source

To see your actual page, click your name next to the Home link at the top of the Facebook page.

can i see who viewed my facebook profile

Once on your Facebook homepage, right-click the background of the page and select View Source.

can i see who viewed my facebook profile

2. Activate webpage search

A website’s source code will look like gibberish to most users, making it hard to find whatever you’re looking for. Activate your browser’s search function by pressing Ctrl + F on your PC or Cmd + F on your Mac. In the search bar type InitialChatFriendsList .

can i see who viewed my facebook profile

3. Look up the user ID numbers under InitialChatFriendsList

Under InitialChatFriendsList, you will see a long list of numbers, which represent people’s profile IDs. They look like this “XXXXXXXXXX-2.” That big block of red in the image? That’s where you’ll find your friend’s identification numbers. Just copy and paste each number into your address bar, minus the zero, like this, “ www.facebook.com/XXXXXXXXXX .” While you have to enter each number manually, this list will supposedly show you who visits your profile the most.

Does it work?

We individually looked up the first 25 people in our InitialChatFriendsList and directly asked them, “Hey, when was the last time you looked at my page?”

The first result on my InitialChatFriendsList hadn’t visited my page in two weeks. The second hadn’t looked in months. The third had visited it that very day. The 14th had visited it three weeks earlier. The 25th couldn’t remember ever looking at my page at all since we became friends. What did all 25 of these people have in common? We all interact with one another during the week.

We like each other’s posts and talk over Messenger. We do interact, so yes, in one regard InitialChatFriendsList does probably tell you who you’re interacting with on Facebook, but not in a way that can be tracked via any real useful metrics. You can’t tell who is stalking your Facebook but not interacting with you via this method.

So, does it work? This  Always Sunny in Philadelphia  GIF sums it up:

Facebook’s official stance on this matter is clear .

Of course, there are third-party apps that could care less about Facebook’s terms of service. Surely one of them works, right?

While there are plenty of third-party apps that claim to be able to track who is visiting your Facebook, they’re all lying. Facebook’s privacy rules don’t allow apps to look at who is visiting your page. Which is good. In fact, Facebook has gone out of its way to nuke apps that have used holes in their security to mine people’s data, even if it’s for a seemingly innocent use.

Take the service Breakup Notifier , for example. In 2011, this app worked by scanning your friend’s relationship statuses and alerting you if they’re relationship status changed. According to an ABC News report , the app’s website was visited 700,000 times in the first 36 hours after it was launched, and the app was downloaded by 40,000 people.

can i see who viewed my facebook profile

Within two days, Facebook shut the app down , citing privacy concerns and a significant number of API calls the app was making. By the time Facebook killed Breakup Notifier, it had amassed 3,673,484 users in its database. While Facebook briefly allowed the service back online, it has since been removed for good.

The response to Breakup Notifier helps illustrate why it’s probably a bad idea to be able to see who is looking at our pages. People naturally want to know who likes us and thinks about us, but there needs to be a checks and balances on social media, and one of those checks is context. When you see that someone likes a post you made on Facebook, you know that they like a specific idea. But what context is there to knowing the last 10 people who visited your page? Does it mean someone is crushing on you or did they just accidentally click on your name while scrolling?

How to See Who Viewed Your Facebook Page

Regardless of whether your Facebook profile is completely locked or not, other users can easily find and view your Facebook page. This situation even includes people that aren’t on your Friends list. Depending on your account’s visibility, they’ll see varying amounts of information about you.

How to See Who Viewed Your Facebook Page

But can you see who viewed your Facebook page? Or better yet, can you view who checked it out the most?

The sad answer is no. You cannot officially view who has visited your Facebook page/profile. Facebook claims that there is no way to view the name of visitors to your profile, and they don’t intend to make it possible in the future. They also state that no third party has access to such information and to report them if you find one that claims such a statement. Regardless, Facebook’s decision on the matter is mainly due to privacy concerns and policies.

If you have doubts based on what you have already seen on the internet, read this article and discover the truth!

Claimed Methods to Seeing Who Viewed Your Facebook Profile

Sure, some websites explain a way to use the page source of your Facebook profile page, but the two different processes scattered all over the internet are not correct. Others claimed that the iPhone had an option in the “Privacy Settings” that said “See who has viewed you,” which will also get explained. Lastly, many third-party extensions or applications claim to reveal who has viewed your Facebook profile, but that is also not true. Here are the nitty-gritty details on all those scenarios.

Seeing Who Viewed Your Facebook Profile using View Page Source

Technically speaking, the Initial Chat Friends List is the order of the displayed list of friends in your chat bar on the right side of your Facebook page. Many factors determine the order, but it is officially an ordered list of users that Facebook thinks you are most likely to chat with based on many algorithms. This feature is already available on your profile, so there is no need to hide it, even in the Page Source.

First off, you won’t see anyone on the list that is NOT your friend. Second, the Buddy List is just people whom you communicated with recently in one way or another.

First off, this scenario is against Facebook policies, even if someone states that Facebook worked out an agreement with Apple.

Second, This option got reported to have been available in April of 2020, but there have never been any more words. Some reports state that it was available on April 1st, 2020. Maybe it was a temporary glitch or opportunity? Perhaps it was an April Fools joke? We’ll never truly know, and no, this scenario wasn’t a test, nor will it get rolled out to Android.

See Your Facebook Profile Viewers using Third-Party Apps

who visit your profile facebook

To begin with, Facebook states that there is no way to view who has seen your profile as that would constitute a breach of privacy. As previously mentioned, Facebook says to report any third party to them that makes such claims.

Any apps that claim to show you your profile viewers deliver false results because they have no access to Facebook’s profile usage data.

Furthermore, most third-party Facebook profile-viewer apps get designed to steal your personal information and credentials, or they infect your devices with malware. Finding FB Profile viewers is a hot topic, so it becomes a target for hackers and thieves.

Secure Your Facebook Profile

The best way to keep your Facebook profile safe is to limit the amount of information that “outsiders” can see when they stumble upon your profile. By “outsiders,” we mean people who aren’t your Facebook friends and who you don’t know in person.

The information that you should hide from others if you want to be as secure as possible includes the following:

a) e-mail address

b) date of birth

c) phone number

d) relationship status

To do so, log in to your Facebook account and follow the steps below. This tutorial covers Facebook’s Desktop version, but you can also follow it on your smartphone as the options are the same.

  • Navigate to your account’s Settings.
  • Click on the Privacy option. That will send you to a page where you can adjust your profile’s privacy settings.
  • Click on Who can look you up using the email address you provided and set it to Only Me.
  • Then select Who can look you up using the phone number you provided and set it to Only Me as well.
  • Navigate back to your Facebook Profile page.
  • Click on Edit Profile.
  • Find the information that you’ve entered (date of birth, relationship status, etc.) and remove it.

How to see other devices logged into your facebook account.

Ditch dodgy logins!

Quick Links

How to see the devices logged into your facebook account, how to log out of your facebook account from suspicious devices, how to protect your account after logging out suspicious devices, key takeaways.

  • To check the devices where your account is logged in, navigate to Privacy and Security > Settings > See More in Accounts Center > Password and Security > Where You're Logged In.
  • To log out of a specific device, go back to the Account Login Activity window and select "Select Devices to Log Out." Choose the suspicious device and tap "Log Out."
  • If you've logged out of your account from a suspicious device, you should change your account password and enable two-factor authentication.

Have you logged into your Facebook account on someone else's (or public) computer and forgot to log out? Facebook allows you to review all logged-in devices, their locations, and when your account was last used. If you notice suspicious activity, you can log out of devices you don't recognize.

The process for checking the devices where your Facebook account is logged in is nearly the same on both the Facebook website and smartphone app.

First, open the Facebook menu by tapping on the hamburger menu button (three horizontal lines) in the bottom-right corner on iPhone or the top-right corner on Android. On the Facebook website, tap on the profile icon in the top-right corner.

From there, expand the "Privacy and Security" menu and select "Settings." Then, tap on "See More in Accounts Center." On the Facebook website, this option is located in the left sidebar, and tapping on it will take you to the Account Center.

Under Account Settings, navigate to "Password and Security." From there, tap "Where You're Logged In," and you'll see the list of devices used to log into your account.

Besides listing the devices where your account is currently logged in or has been used to log in, Facebook will show you the location of those devices, the last time your account was used on each device, and a short history of the most recent logins.

If you notice a suspicious login to your account from a device you don't own or a location you've never visited, it suggests that your account might have been compromised. In this case, you should log out of your account from that location.

To do this, navigate back to the Account Login Activity window and tap "Select Devices to Log Out." Then, check the box or circle next to the suspicious device and tap "Log Out."

However, it's important to note that if you use a VPN connection to access your Facebook account, Facebook will record the location of the VPN server. Therefore, if you see someone accessing your account from a different country, make sure that it's not you who's using it with VPN enabled.

If you simply want to log out of your account from one of your devices or from someone else's device where you temporarily used your account, logging out would be enough. However, if you've logged out of your account from a suspicious device you don't recognize, there are additional actions you should take to protect your account in the future.

First, you should change your account password . This step will ensure that the person who compromised your account won't be able to log in again.

To change your password, navigate to the Accounts Center and select "Password and Security." Tap on "Change Password," then enter both your current and new passwords. Check the box next to "Log Out of Other Devices. Choose This if Someone Else Used Your Account," and tap "Change Password." Confirm your identity through email verification to finish the process.

You should also enable two-factor authentication to improve your account's security. This feature adds an extra layer of protection by requiring unique codes for future logins.

To enable two-factor authentication, go to the Accounts Center and navigate to Password and Security > Two-factor Authentication. Select your account, enter your password, and choose the security method you want to use. After that, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.

Mandisa, 'American Idol' singer and Grammy winner, dies at 47

Mandisa

Grammy-winning singer Mandisa, who rose to fame on season five of “American Idol,”  has died, her representative said Friday. She was 47.

“We can confirm that yesterday Mandisa was found in her home deceased," her representative said in a statement to NBC News. “At this time we do not know the cause of death or any further details.”

“We ask for your prayers for her family and close knit circle of friends during this incredibly difficult time,” the statement concluded.

She was found dead in her Nashville home, according to The Tennessean .

A post on the artist's Facebook page said early Friday: “Mandisa was a voice of encouragement and truth to people facing life’s challenges all around the world. She wrote this song for a dear friend who had passed in 2017.”

“Her own words say it best. I’m already home / You’ve got to lay it down / ‘cause Jesus holds me now— / And I am not alone.”

The singer, whose full name is Mandisa Lynn Hundley, shot to stardom after placing ninth on “American Idol.” She went on to win a Grammy for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album in 2014 for her album “Overcomer.”

Originally from Sacramento, California, Mandisa grew up singing in church and studied vocal performance at American River College, and continued her studies at Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee, according to her record label artist bio . After college, she worked as a session and backup vocalists for artists including Shania Twain and Trisha Yearwood before going on "American Idol."

In 2017, the singer told “Good Morning America” that she fell into a deep depression in 2014 and almost took her own life following the death of her close friend, Lakisha Mitchell , who had breast cancer.

“It got pretty bad — to the point where if I had not gotten off that road I would not be sitting here today,” Mandisa said. “I was this close to listening to that voice that told me, ‘You can be with Jesus right now, Mandisa. All you have to do is take your life.’"

“It almost happened. But God is what I say. He saved my life quite literally,” she added.

She revealed that in her dark state, she resorted to emotional eating and isolation.

“(Emotional eating) is what I have done my entire life,” she explained. “After losing over 120 pounds, which I talked about my first time here, I gained it all back and 75 more. I sunk into the deepest depression of my life after Kisha died.”

She said her friends ultimately intervened and she got help.

Mandisa had released six studio albums, the last being 2017’s “Out of the Dark.”

Tributes poured in following news of Mandisa’s passing.

“Her kindness was epic, her smile electric, her voice massive, but it was no match for the size of her heart,” Christian radio station K-LOVE Chief Media Officer David Pierce shared.

“Mandisa struggled, and she was vulnerable enough to share that with us, which helped us talk about our own struggles. Mandisa’s struggles are over, she is with the God she sang about now. While we are saddened, Mandisa is home. We’re praying for Mandisa’s family and friends and ask you to join us,” he added.

“Good Morning America” host Robin Roberts wrote on X : “My heart is heavy hearing about Mandisa. Incredibly blessed that she was there my first day back on ⁦ @GMA ⁩ following my long medical leave. Her beautiful music & spirit lifted me and countless others.”

Singer Matthew West , who recorded the 2007 duet “Christmas Makes Me Cry” with Mandisa, said: “I am so incredibly saddened to hear about the loss of my friend Mandisa. I will always cherish the memories of times we spent together hosting award shows, going on tour, and most of all helping her tell her story in the songwriting room.”

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.

I've visited 93 countries, 57 of them with kids. These 5 underrated spots are great places to enjoy with your family.

  • Karen Edwards has traveled to 93 countries, and 57 of them have been with her young children.
  • Edwards said that her family has had more fun exploring underrated spots than the popular ones.
  • Her favorites include Tanzania for its safari tours and Abu Dhabi for its vibrant festival scene.

Insider Today

This as-told-to essay is based on a conversation with Karen Edwards , who blogs about her family's travels around the world. The following has been edited for length and clarity.

Since 2000, I've visited 93 countries and 57 of them have been with my four children who are all under the age of 10.

I am a nurse by background, but I have been blogging about traveling with my husband and kids since 2014. I cover a lot of off-the-beaten-track destinations and write itineraries for places I've been to, explaining how they work for families with children.

Many popular family destinations tend to be overcrowded. They're usually the ones that get a lot of media exposure or are shown in viral videos on social media. In America, it'd be places like Disneyland in California or Disney World in Florida, while for Europeans, it might be some of the Spanish resort areas.

Although my family and I have visited these places, we have always come away disappointed. They often lack educational experiences, feeling like pointless affairs.

I think traveling to underrated spots makes trips feel more exclusive and you can learn more about the cultures of the countries you visit — it also keeps you away from tourist traps.

We went on a safari tour in Tanzania

Our family visited Tanzania in 2019 in collaboration with a tourism brand. We were there for 12 days.

Our flights to the country were kind of expensive; we paid about $9,000 for our then-family of four, including a stop in Zanzibar at the end of the trip for a few days. However, overall, the entire trip didn't end up costing us that much.

We had some really unique experiences in Tanzania. We went to Mto Wa Mbu village , which is beneath a banana plantation, and we went on a safari tour in its Lake Manyara National Park .

Interestingly, Tanzania is one of the few places in the world where lions are known to climb trees. I remember seeing them sit in tall trees; it was quite unusual, but my kids really enjoyed how close they were to the animals.

Throughout our trip, we actually felt like we were experiencing life in Tanzania. Our campsite was on a river's edge in the depths of nature. It was nice not to feel surrounded by tourists.

My kids fell in love with Abu Dhabi's culture

Many people mistakenly believe that Dubai is a country, but in reality, it's a city in the United Arab Emirates, with Abu Dhabi being its capital.

My family and I moved to Abu Dhabi in 2021 and lived there for 18 months. The city does have a lot of similarities to glitzy and glam Dubai , but you get a more down-to-earth experience.

There are amazing festivals in Abu Dhabi where they display their culture in different formats, whether that be through local food or crafts. It does feel authentic because it's usually mainly locals participating and organizing them.

The city is also 1.5 hours away from Al Ain, which sits at the foot of  Jebel Hafeet , one of the tallest mountains in the region. Along the way up, you'll find many ancient artifacts, such as beehive huts, which have been there for thousands of years. At the top, you can watch incredible sunsets.

Related stories

The city also has the Al Ain Oasis , which uses an ancient irrigation system. It has these beautiful paved pathways that look like cobbled streets.

My kids loved Abu Dhabi and are constantly asking me to go back — they really liked all the cultural celebrations.

We love Sri Lanka so much, we're building a villa there

In 2022, my family and I moved to Sri Lanka from Abu Dhabi. We thought we'd have more family time here, and it was going to be an affordable place to live.

We're building a family-friendly villa here that should be completed by August. The area where we are building has a lot of nice cafes, bars, and restaurants nearby.

Overall, Sri Lanka is an amazing country that has so many diverse experiences. There are tea plantations, mountains, and beaches. As for wildlife, their national parks have loads of elephants and leopards.

On one occasion, we went on a safari boat tour to an isolated national park where we watched elephants swim across a lake and onto a tiny island. It was amazing.

The beaches in Sri Lanka are pristine. They have beautiful scenery with swaying coconut palm trees, clear water, and perfect waves. Our favorite is Kabalana Beach .

Because we're always on the beach, my children have learned how to surf. I think it's the most fun thing that we do on the weekends as a family.

The ski resorts and spas are amazing in Andorra

We visited Andorra in 2018 for about six days. It's a tiny country nestled in the Pyrenees between Spain. It's a two-hour drive from Barcelona and three hours from Toulouse, France.

The city has a unique fusion of cultures, though I think Catalonian is the strongest influence. During our trip, my family and I toured many ancient churches.

We also went to some amazing spas and resorts in Andorra. The hotel and ski system there is really family-friendly.

During our visit to the Grandvalira ski resort , my daughter learned how to ski and my husband got to snowboard — the resort has a kindergarten at the foot of its mountain, where kids can play or ski.

Andorra also has amazing spa facilities that are suitable for families and are sectioned off for different age groups.

Our trip was in collaboration with Andorra's tourism board, but I feel like it wasn't overly expensive in comparison to some other places around the world.

I was treated like family in Macedonia

Macedonia is a Balkan country just north of Greece. I haven't been there with children, but I wouldn't have any issues taking my kids there.

It has many beautiful small villages and it's great for skiing too.

The country is also home to one of the oldest and deepest lakes in Europe named Lake Orchid, which borders Albania. There's this beautiful, small village on the lake that has charming restaurant and a lovely atmosphere for relaxing and enjoying good food.

I visited the country in 2008, and then again in 2012 with my then-boyfriend and now-husband.

The first time I visited, I went with two girlfriends, and we were backpackers. We arrived in the middle of the night by bus and had no idea what we were doing. The bus driver just made a call, and a stranger came and picked us up in his car — I thought I was going to die.

The opposite happened. He took us back to his home with his family, and we stayed there with them for a few days. We ended up extending the trip because he and his family were so amazing.

They didn't speak a word of English, and we couldn't speak a word of their language either. We'd just gesture at each other, and they'd give us food and red wine.

I just totally fell in love with them and their country.
