As you can see, there can be up to 8 cruise ships per day arriving during the high-season months of June, July, August and September so knowing the arrival days and times can help you massively plan your day, as Fira and Oia will be flooded with the cruise ship people. In case you are wondering what is going on, in Santorini Cruise Port (which is different than the Ferry port called Athinios) when a few cruise ships arrive and disembark their people, watch my recent video above.

Santorini Greece Port Guide

Cruises to Santorini, Greece help share the effortless beauty and history of the island with the world. Though it’s no longer a well-kept secret, Santorini’s charm cannot be diminished. The island’s multicolored structures pop against the blue-and-white buildings and the turquoise Aegean sea below. Less academic than Athens, quieter than summer party town Mykonos, Santorini is one of the most-visited destinations on any number of Mediterranean cruises , and for good reason.

Santorini’s cruise port was created when the island’s volcano erupted in 1650 BC. The port is located at the base of Fira, the capital city. When your Santorini cruise docks in Fira, you’ll take a small boat to the shoreline and then, in picturesque Greek fashion, make your way to the top of the island by either cable car, donkey, or on foot.

While you’re on a Santorini cruise, the island will show you its romantic, relaxed spirit. Explore the village of Oia, see the sunset from Amoudi Bay, or take a half-day excursion to Nea Kameni and Palia Kameni—two islands formed by volcanic eruptions—for a dip in their ancient, therapeutic hot springs.

Top sights & attractions for cruises to santorini.

Amoudi Bay is one of Santorini’s hidden gems, a tiny port on the northwest side of the island where tourists and locals intermingle for romantic evening walks along the bay’s rocky shores, or enjoy a drink and fresh seafood — like grilled octopus or a fried cheese dish called saganaki — at a variety of waterfront restaurants.

Oia Village

The village of Oia (pronounced Ia) is north of Fira, situated atop a sizable cliff. Oia offers a spectacular view of the island of Thirassia in the distance. While in Oia, you’ll find shops, taverns, restaurants, and attractions aplenty, from art galleries to the Maritime Museum, which memorializes the naval history of the area. Oia provides a glimpse into a bustling, traditional Greek village culture. Enjoy fresh fish and yet another unbeatable island view.

Kamari Beach

Kamari Beach is unique for its black sand and home to a famous beach resort. During the summer season, Kamari Beach is an incredibly popular destination for tourists because of its water sports, vibrant resort nightlife, and the ease of being right at the waterfront while surrounded conveniently by bars, nightclubs, and cafes.

Venetsanos Winery

One of the most unique wineries you’ll ever visit, Venetsanos Winery was literally carved into the cliffs just above the port of Athinios. The winery was designed and built in 1947 and active until 1967. After a 47-year hiatus, the winery became operational again in 2014. Because of the steep cliffside, the winery was built to accommodate Santorini’s one-of-a-kind environment. Note there are four different levels for each stage of the wine-making process. The incline of the soil created a natural flow of wine from one level to the next.

Learn More About Santorini Shore Excursions

Top things to do in santorini, see the akrotiri ruins in oia village.

You’ll not only see the the ancient Minoan site of Akrotiri from Oia’s hilltop, but it’s also a fantastic vantage point from to witness a Santorini sunset. While visiting these ancient ruins, you’ll discover a rich history about the Akrotiri settlement, which was destroyed during the 16th century BC and buried in volcanic ash—similar to how the site of Pompeii in Italy was preserved. As a result, many objects and frescoes were well-preserved by the burial and excavated in 1967.

Hike to Skaros Rock

It wouldn’t be Greece without another impressive formation of ancient ruins, and that’s what you’ll find at Skaros Rock north of Fira. Skaros used to be the capital of Santorini until the 18th century, when Fira claimed capital status due to its close proximity and accessibility to the sea. Today Skaros is a popular site for hiking and photography. Don’t forget to bring your hiking shoes to reach the formation of Skaros summit with ease.

Sail Over to Nea Kameni

Take a short trip—about 30 minutes from the port of Athinios—to the island of Nea Kameni (which translates to “new burnt island’ in Greek) for a dip in its famous hot springs. The island is uninhabited and a protected scientific site. The last eruption on Nea Kameni happened in 1950. Don’t miss your chance to climb a gravel path to reach the top of the crater.

Top Food and Drink Spots Near the Santorini Cruise Port

Santorini offers not only plentiful restaurants and taverns tucked away in every corner and alleyway, but also specific regional dishes made in homes and restaurants across the island. Try a few Santorini delicacies while you’re on the island like fava or melitinia. Fava is a creamy, split pea purée, served warm with lemon and olive oil. Fava is an ultimate comfort food and a timeless classic on the island. Or try melitinia, a traditional dessert in the form of a sweet cheese pie. It’s typically served at Easter but also can be found at various bakeries on Santorini. Many dishes at restaurants may incorporate a special variety of eggplant called white eggplant, which thrives in the volcanic soil on the island. White eggplant is sweeter to the taste than its purple counterpart.

Here are a few spots you can try during your trip to Santorini:

Address: Santorini, Greece, 84700, P.O. 87

Just 20 minutes from the Athinios port, Selene is an award-winning restaurant that offers more than just tasty dishes—they also provide cooking classes, wine tastings, and a rotating seasonal menu.

Address: Oia (Ia), 84702, Santorini

In Oia you’ll find this small, intimate restaurant located in an authentic Santorini captain’s house. A roof garden makes 1800 great for date night, and they have a sizable wine cellar for all palates.

Santa Irini Bakery

Address: Main Road Perissa, Perissa 84703, Greece

Buy a Greek coffee and a pastry or two (or three) while at Santa Irini bakery, a top-rated bakery in the area. Try their chocolate filled croissant and any number of traditional Greek sweets while you’re there.

Culture & History of the Santorini Cruise Port

The culture of Greece has evolved over thousands of years. In fact, the first settlement in Ancient Greece dates back to the Paleolithic era (11,000-3,000 BCE). The foundations of western civilization saw their start in the Classical Period (6th - 4th century BCE), where democracy and the city-state (polis) would have an indelible impact on the history of the world.

Santorini is just one island in a complex of Greek islands called the Cyclades, located in the Aegean Sea and south of the mainland of Greece. Today, Santorini is considered a caldera, or a large crater formed as a result of a substantial volcanic eruption. The oldest signs of settlement in Santorini date back to the Neolithic period, and its settlement impacted the whole of Greece, even influencing major migrations. During the Hellenistic period, the area became an important port city and naval base, a center for both trade and military operations of the day.

Food in Santorini reflects the Mediterranean environment, but the area’s volcanic soil and sparse rainfall makes for unique crops. Whether through its fair climate and Mediterranean weather, depictions of the island in film and photography, or its signature painted houses at the top of the caldera, Santorini has captured our culture fascination as a destination where one can be fully immersed in Greek culture both ancient and modern.

Santorini Port Facilities & Location

Santorini’s cruise port—called the port of Skala, or the old port —is located at the base of the Caldera Cliffs in Fira, the capital of Santorini. Because the island doesn’t have a large cruise terminal, passengers are brought ashore via small boats. It’s a truly unique experience for visitors in one of the most serviced ports in the world. From the Skala pier, you’ll find a few duty-free shops and restaurants. During the summer season, tours are offered to the volcano and hot springs from Skala.

Then, you have three options for reaching the top of the island: take the cable car available from the pier, take a mule ride for about €8, or, for a little exercise, hike up around 600 steps to the top.

Transportation in Santorini

While on cruises to Santorini, Greece, use one of these available transportation methods:

Locals have used donkeys as a mode of transportation since ancient times. Due to the uneven landscape of the island, donkeys are highly used in the routes from the old port of Fira up to the town, and from the port of Ammoudi to Oia.

The central bus station is in Fira, the island’s capital, and is the cheapest way to get around in Santorini. The buses cover routes around the island and to most tourist destinations.

Find taxis available outside the port and in the central squares of Fira and Oia. Though taxis are a quicker option, they tend to be more expensive than public transport.

Car or bike rental

Renting a car or motorbike is an exciting way to explore the island on your own. There are many car rentals agencies all around Santorini; however, booking in advance is recommended, as demand is very high during peak season in Santorini.

Boat or ferry

Excursion boats take passengers from the old port of Fira to the island’s volcano (called Palea Kameni), the hot springs, and the small island of Thirassia. Cruise and excursion boats depart from the old port of Fira, while ferries depart from the port of Athinios, about five miles south of Fira.

Local Currency & Tipping Customs

The Euro is Greece’s primary form of currency. While credit cards are widely accepted, it’s recommended to double check before using a credit card. Tipping taxi drivers isn’t common, but it’s polite to do so when given great customer service, and a typical percentage would be 10% of your fare. It’s also customary to leave some Euros behind at a restaurant if the service or meal was very satisfactory. If there is no service charge included in your bill, a 10% tip is customary. Finally, if you’re taking a tour in Greece, leave an additional tip of €5-€10 for your tour guide.

Santorini: tourist information

Fira is a comparatively modern town, with houses built mostly during the 19th century when the old Venetian capital at Skaros became untenable due to earthquakes. The architecture is a jumble of Cycladic and Venetian, side by side, the similarities between the two being the stark whiteness. The impact of Aegean tourism has made itself felt in Fira, judging from the abundance of taverns, hotels, discotheques and shops. It is the largest town on the island and has gained preference with travelers because it is central and access to other parts of Santorini is made easy by either taxi or bus. From there you can indulge in some inspiring coastal walks. Wandering through the white cobbled streets of Fira, a town of about 2,000 inhabitants, one gets the feel of the old-world charm blended in with the modern day comforts. The town's archaeological museum is crammed with finds from excavations at Akrotiri. But besides being so interesting archaeologically, Santorini is essentially a beauty spot, an island whose cliffs seem to glow under an exceptionally clear light all day, but which at sunset glow redly, evoking that vast explosion more than 3000 years ago.

On top of the volcano walls, a white lining of houses hints at breathtaking views and quaint beauty, which in fact is the stunning Town of Fira . Only those that have been on top of the caldera's rim, and walked to the towns of Fira, Oia, and Imerovigli know that there is no other place in the World like Santorini.

Fira Town in Santorini

Obviously, exploring these towns is an absolute must as is a visit to the extraordinary archaeological site of Akrotiri , which dates back to 900 BC. Several religious sites, a handful of museums, and a taste of Santo wine should not be missed. If you like to collect beach memories, the black, red, and multicolored sand beaches of Santorini are truly unforgettable.

Where is Santorini Island?

Located between Athens and Crete, Santorini is part of a group of over 200 islands known as the Cyclades , which circularly surround the sacred island of Delos - the legendary birthplace of Apollo and Artemis . Together with Mykonos (which is located very close to Delos), Santorini is one of the most visited cruise ports in the Cyclades for its stunning landscape, archaeological sites, and unusual beaches.

Where Cruise Ships Anchor in Santorini?

Although Santorini is one of the most visited cruise ports in the Mediterranean, with as many as 5 daily visits, cruise ships do not dock in Santorini.

Tender boats, and the piers in Skala and Athinios

As cruise ships anchor at the vast bay surrounding the volcano's crater, passengers will be transported to the small port of Skala on large and comfortable tender boats operated by locals. Skala is right below the town of Fira.

Services and amenities

Cruise passengers will also find in the terminal many activities, diverse entertainment, and shopping (more about all these below). And the following services and amenities:

Top things to do in Santorini on a cruise

Santorini is one of those cruise ports where there are many diverse things to do. For those that enjoy visiting archeological sites, Akrotiri is one the most important sites to visit for it takes you back to the 9th century BC.

The major towns on the rim of the Caldera are a delight and the views are spectacular, be it in Oia, Fira, Firostefani, or Imerovigli. Fira has a number of interesting highlights, countless shops, and excellent restaurants.

There is no shortage of beautiful landscapes, lovely beaches, and delicious restaurants with stunning views overlooking the caldera, making Santorini a must on anyone’s itinerary.

Photo of Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral in Fira is a major highlight for cruise passengers on a cruise to the island of Santorini in Greece.

The wineries of Santorini are famous for their fortified wine (Vino Santo) and the beaches with black sand are out of this world. Here are the top things to do on a cruise to Santorini:

  • Visit Akrotiri.
  • Walk around Fira.
  • Travel to Oia.
  • Taste Vino Santo.
  • Enjoy the multicolored beaches of Santorini.
  • Dive in the Caldera.
  • Taste local cuisine.
  • Shop for local products and luxury jewelry.

Fira is a mandatory town to visit. The cruise traveler should always keep at least a couple of hours to meander the cobblestone streets lined with restaurants and cafes with breathtaking views, unique shops, and a handful of stunning sites to visit.

Fira Highlights

There are three museums not to be missed in Fira: the Archaeological Museum, the Megaron Gyzi Museum, and the Museum of Prehistoric Thira. The Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral, the Fira Catholic Cathedral, and the Dominican Convent are top religious sites to visit.

The walk to Firostefani or even farther to Imerovigli is a memorable delight for photo enthusiasts and light trekkers. If staying in Fira look out for the following attarctions:

  • Archaeological Museum
  • Megaron Gyzi Museum
  • Museum of Prehistoric Thira
  • Orthodox Metropolitan Cathedral
  • Fira Catholic Cathedral
  • Dominican Convent

The charm of Oia

The town of Oia is a must-visit with its marble-paved streets, restaurants, bars, shops, a couple of museums, windmills, and the old Venetian Fort. This charming village was devastated by an earthquake in 1956 and has been completely rebuilt.

Buildings and tree trunks are painted white every year and stand out against the background of rust color layers of rock, earth, and volcanic ash. Here are the main attractions to enjoy in Oia:

Akrotiri Archaeological Site

The ancient city of Akrotiri lies at the southwestern tip of Santorini and is a fascinating and important archaeological site.

Photo of Akrotiri archeological site, a major highlight for cruise passenegers on a cruise to the island of Santorini in Greece

First settled during the 9th century BC by the Greeks known as Dorians, Ancient Thira comprises a diverse mixture of ruins with architectural elements from the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine eras.

After being covered by lava from a volcano eruption in the 15th century, it has now been partially excavated.

Wine-making and Wine Tasting

The local wine-making industry on the island of Santorini has long been thriving, with a number of large vineyards located around the villages inland.

The following are the most famous wineries in Santorini, and all cruise lines offer wine tasting tours.

  • Venetsanos Winery
  • Canava Roussos

Beaches and Water-sport

Santorini volcanic beaches have produced unusual black and red sand that make for dramatically unique landscapes.

The many famous beaches are along the eastern coast, each with its own unique characteristics.

Although Santorini's beaches are not as nice as some of the others in the Greek islands, its volcanic rocks have produced unusual black and red sand that make for dramatic landscapes.

One thing to note is that this sand absorbs the sun’s rays and gets much hotter than golden sand.

On the more popular beaches, umbrellas can be rented, and tavernas and refreshment stands abound. The more secluded beaches are worth a visit, though the paths leading down to them can be tricky. Here are the most popular and famous beaches in Santorini for cruise visitors:

  • Perissa and Perivolos
  • Amoudi Beach
  • Kamari Beach
  • Monolithos beach
  • The Red Beach
  • Aspri Ammos or White Beach
  • Armeni Beach

Other beaches on Santorini worth mentioning include Baxedes , on the northern coast (and uncrowded), although the swimming is not ideal. Cape Columbo beach is a secluded spot with calm waters suitable for swimming, dark sand, tall cliffs, and fine views.

Karterados is undeveloped, Messa Pigadia is small and easy to reach by boat, Pori is picturesque and quiet, Vlihada has pleasant views and dark sand, and Vourvoulos has two adjoining beaches with plenty of privacy.

Snorkeling and diving

The volcanic eruptions created impressive underwater scenery making for plenty of diving opportunities. Diving tours offer trips to shipwrecks, volcanic caverns, and coastal reefs. Snorkeling locations also abound for those wanting to look below the waves with a bit less equipment.

At the dives sites around the edge of the caldera and below the cliffs, there are many colorful sponges, lobsters, groupers, snappers, barracuda, schools of fish, and even octopus.

Scenic Views

Santorini is well known for its breathtaking sunsets from its towering cliffs, particularly when seen from the village of Oia on the island's far northern end. However, very few cruise ships sail late and do not stay in port long enough for cruise travelers to enjoy such a spectacle. When choosing a cruise calling at Santorini, you should pay attention to the sail away times.

How to explore Santorini on a cruise?

All cruise lines visiting Santorini offer excellent tours and excursions of the island to all highlights and top attractions. These excursions (aka Shorex or Cruise Excursions) offered onboard cruise ships can be very advantageous.

For those that like to be toured by guides with excellent knowledge of sites, shore excursions are advisable to visit the archeological site of Akrotiri, an overall visit to the highlights of the Santorini or the charming village of Oia.

However, the latter is also easy to explore on your own. There are four possible ways to discover and enjoy a day at the cruise port of Santorini:

  • Book a Shore Excursion onboard your cruise ship
  • Local tours at the tender pier in the port of Skala
  • On your own to Fira by cable car or donkey (mule)
  • Transfer to Amoudi
  • Rent a car or a scooter

You can rent a car or a scooter at the pier in Skala, but you will pick up your vehicle in Fira, and to get there you will need to go on the Cable Car, on a Donky, or climb 587 steps, which are shared with the smelly equines.

If you wish to visit the archeological site of Akrotiri a shore excursion is the best way to do it as you will have a knowledgeable tour guide accompanying you.

For those that wish to do a full tour of Santorini stopping at all the major highlights, a shore excursion or a tour with local guides is also advisable.

Local tours are also ideal for excursions of the caldera, be it to bathe in the hot springs of the volcano, snorkel, or fishing.

Obviously, all cruise lines offer many diverse shore excursions in Piraeus (Athens). Celebrity Cruises and Royal Caribbean offer as many as 19 shore excursions . Norwegian Cruise Line has available 9 shore excursions . Oceania Cruises organizes 22 shore excursions , and Princess has 27 excursions available.

There are also excursions offered by the following reputable private online services and local tour operators:

  • Shore Trips
  • Shore Excursions Group
  • Tours by Locals
  • Venture Ashore
  • Private Shore Trips

How to get to Fira, Oia, and around Santorini

Unless you choose to stay onboard your cruise ship or by the port of Skala, you will need to go up to the rim of the caldera to explore the attractions of Santorini. Regardless of whether you go on a shore excursion, or explore Santorini on your own, you will have to travel to the top of the volcano.

The traditional way to go up to Fira is the old Greek way - by donkey (mule). Although we mention this tradition in this review, it does not imply that we approve of the use of mules to climb to Fira.

Photo of Cable Car in Santorini.

Cable Car in Santorini

Since 1979, there is a cable car connecting the port of Skala and Fira. The Cable Car offers spectacular views of the island and is thrilling for some.

Less known, divulged, and rarely mentioned onboard most cruise ships, there is also the Editor's Favorite way of exploring Santorini. For around €20.00 per person, you can get from the Port of Skala to the off-track Port of Amoudi - in itself a wonderful attraction - just below the village of Oia, which is one of the Top Highlights of Santorini.

  • Donkeys (mules)
  • Boat transfer to Amoudi

There are three main ways to get around Santorini, explore the top attractions in Santorini (like the charming town of Oia), or spend some time at one of the unique beaches of Santorini:

  • Rental Car or Scooter

Discover and enjoy Santorini on Your Own

Cruise passengers that like to explore ports independently will be happy to know that most highlights of Santorini are easy to explore on your own. You will find almost all you need to discover Santorini on your own as you step out of the tender boat at the pier in the port of Skala.

But you can easily travel to any of the unique beaches of Santorini on your own or spend quality time in Oia.

To get to any of the beaches in Santorini, renting a car or a scooter is our favorite way. Although a taxi may cost less, you will be time constrained.

The fastest way to get to Oia from Fira is by taxi, and the slowest (around 30 minutes) is by public bus.

Our favorite way to travel to Oia is by boat transfer from the port in Skala to Amoudi Bay, a small and charming port just below the village of Oia.

Photo of Transfer to Amoudi Bay in Santorini.

Amoudi Bay Transfer in Skala

From the pier in Amoudi, you can take a regular bus, a donkey, or walk up 214 steps to Oia.

In Amoudi Bay, before going up to Oia, you can choose to walk along the sea (make a left turn at the pier) and go swim on a secluded beach. Next to the pier in Amoudi, there are a few restaurants with marvelous settings and excellent fresh fish.

Photo of Amoudi Bay in Santorini.

Amoudi Bay in Santorini

A couple of tour operators on the port of Skala offer this transfer to Amoudi including the bus transfer from Amoudi to Oia and from Oia to Fira.

Tourist Info

There is a Tourist Information at the pier in the port of Skala, and also up in Fira.

Greek is the official language, but English is widely spoken - Santorini is such a tourist island that English-speaking cruise passengers will easily communicate with locals everywhere.

The legal tender in Greece is the Euro (€) (EUR). US$ dollars or any other currency are NOT accepted in Greece.

Traveler information, visit santorini on a cruise ship here’s everything you need to know.

Visit Santorini on a Cruise Ship? Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Are you planning to visit Santorini on a cruise ship?

It’s going to be fun!

Just make sure you know everything about traveling and getting around on a cruise ship in Santorini for a pleasant experience. Traveling on a huge cruise ship can be great but it also means that you probably have a limited time for exploring the island – and if you don’t have any idea of what to do and what to avoid, you can get confused.

Here’s the ultimate travel guide to make sure your trip to Santorini on a cruise ship is the best and smoothest trip ever!

Important Things to Know

  • Santorini has two ports ; Athinios Port and the Old Port of Fira. Both the ports are too small for the cruise ships to be docked directly. Hence, you’ll have to rely on a ship’s tender to reach the ports.
  • Generally, the cruise ship itineraries in Santorini drop some passengers off at Athinios and the others at the Old Port of Fira. Passengers who arrive at Athinios Port are supposed to book a bus tour via the cruise ship company. These tours are usually packed with many people and hence, we don’t recommend them.
  • If you don’t book a bus tour via the cruise ship company, you’ll be dropped off at the Old Port of Fira.
  • All cruise ships depart from the Old Port. Even the passengers who have booked the bus tour via their cruise ship company have to reach the Old Port to take the ship tender to get on the cruise ship.

How to Get to Fira from Old Port or Vice Versa

The easiest and most common way to reach the Old Port is by a cable car . It takes only three minutes. On the other hand, if you’re feeling adventurous and decide to walk to the port, it’ll be 587 steps. Local donkey ride is another easy way to get there.

Important note: Please note that Gialos, the Old Port is nestled at the foot of a rocky cliff below Fira. If you decide to go by a cable car or on a donkey, you’ll have to pay 6€ per side of the ride.

Where is the Meeting Point if You Book a Private Tour?

For private bus tours, the meeting point is at the top of the cable car. Once you reach the Old Port of Fira, you’ll have to take a cable car to go to the top. Depending on your tour organizer, you may find a guide waiting for you on the top with a sign that has your name or the company name on it.

For private cruise tours, the meeting point could be either at the top of the cable car or Old Port. If it’s the latter, the cruise will start there. Otherwise, you’ll have to meet the tour guide at the top of the cable car who’ll pick you up and drop you at the start port of the private cruise.

Typically, a private cruise in Santorini starts from Ammoudi Port or Vlychada Port while the drop off may be the Old Port of Fira. It’s best to book a cruise and request the organizer to arrange either the meeting point or the drop off location at the Old Port. This will allow you to witness the breathtaking views of Santorini from Caldera while helping you save some precious time by eliminating the need for arranging transportation.

An ideal itinerary is: Old Port > cable car > port of the private cruise by a shuttle > private cruise experience > drop off at Old Port on yacht OR Pickup from Old port on a yacht > private cruise experience > Fira via shuttle service > Old Port via cable car > cruise ship on a ship tender Get in touch with us to find out about the availability of a private cruise that has its meeting point or drop-off at the Old Port.

Will You Have Time to Enjoy a Boat Tour if You Visit Santorini on a Cruise Ship?

A simple answer to this question is that it depends on the time you’re going to spend in Santorini.

If you decide to book a volcano tour that is supposed to depart from the Old Port, the arrival time of your cruise ship must be at least an hour before the departure time of the tour. Moreover, the departure time of the cruise ship must be an hour after the end time of the tour. For example, if the tour starts at 11:00 AM and finishes at 14:00, your cruise ship must arrive at 10:00 AM and depart from Santorini at 15:00.

On the other hand, if you book a catamaran cruise or a private yacht cruise, the departure port will be Ammoudi or Vlychada Port. In this case, your cruise ship must arrive at least a couple of hours before the cruise tour starts because usually, the pickup is on the nearest road just a few meters away from the cable car. You’ll need approximately one hour to reach there and another hour to reach the port through the shuttle service. The time to depart, however, should be 2.5 hours after the tour ends. This is because you’ll need an hour to reach the cable car from the port and chances are that you’ll find a long queue of passengers waiting for the cable car. You might have to wait for half an hour or so before you get a seat. Please note that the last ship’s tender departs an hour before the cruise ship’s departure time.

Recommended : It’s always best to book a private cruise in Santorini for a smooth, hassle-free experience. You can contact us and tell us about your specific requirements. We’ll be more than happy to adjust the start and end time of the private cruise tour and even change the departure port for you! Get in touch with us today to ensure a pleasant private cruise tour in Santorini.
