Multi-Tiered Special

  • Edit source

Characters with variable charge rates for special. This means if a unit has two tiers with a 9 and 14 turn cooldown, they can use their special after 9 stall turns. This level 1 usage typically is slightly weaker compared to their higher level charge. If you use the special, the countdown will start over again at MAX.

The developers at Bandai Namco try to frequently release new legends to keep the game constantly fun. Each legend is different from the other and has a unique use. Which are the best legends in the global version of One Piece Treasure Cruise ?

Updated on September 26, 2022, by Suzail Ahmad : One Piece Treasure Cruise has picked up the pace at which they release new legends. Such has been the increase that many players have stopped playing the game completely. Each legend has a high attack boost and tremendously powerful special abilities, which make them a great addition to any team. With the rapid increase in the number of legends, it has become increasingly difficult to choose the best legends in the game. This is a big problem due to the limited amount of Rainbow Gems that the players get to spend. To help the players with their conundrum, we have added the best One Piece Treasure Cruise legends to the list.

20 Uta – The Latest Movie Legend

  • Class: Cerebral, Striker
  • Stats: ATK- 1724, RCV- 400

Uta is a brand-new character that was introduced in One Piece: Film Red . While the movie is still coming out in different countries, One Piece Treasure Cruise has already released two units for Uta, and her 6-star version is among the best units in the game .

With her captain ability, Uta takes care of 10 turns of paralysis and cooldown rewind. In addition to the inbuilt utility that she offers, Uta is 5.25x captain for INT, Striker, and Cerebral characters and also increased their HP by 1.3x. Uta's special offers the crew a very high boost. All these things make her an excellent legend.

19 Kaido – Offers Insanely High Damage

  • Class: Striker, Powerhouse
  • Stats: ATK- 1771, RCV- 75

Being the main antagonist of the Wano Country arc, Kaido has various units, including multiple legends. The strongest version of Kaido is the STR hybrid legend. As the captain of the crew, he boosts the attack of Powerhouse and Striker class by 5.25x, and if he has a WANO orb on him while attacking, he will ignore debuff protection and cause the enemies to 1.5x extra damage.

RELATED: One Piece: Every New Bounty Revealed After The Wano Arc

To get the orb on Kaido, the players simply need to activate his super special, and he will grant the top and middle units WANO orbs. Kaido's normal special offers a 2.75x orb boost to two classes and a conditional boost of 2x against enemies who have been inflicted with the increased damage debuff. Kaido's Super Tandem boosts the damage even more, but most players won't be able to max it out.

18 Luffy And The Straw Hat Pirates – Arguably The Best Unit

  • Class: Fighter, Free Spirit
  • Type: STR/DEX
  • Stats: ATK- 1756, RCV- 356

Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates have an insanely good captain and special ability, but the thing that stands out most is their Last Tap ability, which allows players to bypass the resilience buffs on the enemy. This effectively frees up a slot on the crew, which can help the players greatly.

When the dual captain ability is active, the unit will boost the attack of all units by 5.25x if they have matching orbs, and boost their HP by 1.5x. Furthermore, any buffs that are specific to a class or color are applied to the whole crew instead. The unit also changes all orbs into RAINBOW orbs and offers attack, orb, color affinity, and chain boost. All these qualities make them a part of all the best One Piece Treasure Cruise teams.

17 Roger And Newgate – High Damage and Utility

  • Class: Slasher/Striker
  • Type: PSY/INT
  • Stats: ATK- 1799, RCV- 299

Roger and Newgate offer a 5.5x attack boost to Slasher and Striker classes and boost their HP by 1.2x. The unit also reduces Bind, Paralysis, and Silence by 1 turn.

Their special increases attack or orb boost depending on which character is being used when the special is activated. They also reduce Despair duration by 20 turns, while adding color affinity.

16 Yamato And Ace – Packed Special

  • Class: Free Spirit, Striker
  • Stats: ATK- 1680, RCV- 266

Yamato and Ace are among the best One Piece Treasure Cruise characters . When their captain ability is active, they boost the attack of Striker, Shooter, and Free Spirit characters up to 5.5x. With each perfect, they heal twice their RCV, and they reduce Bind and Silence by 10 turns.

The unit even offers a 20% damage reduction, which makes the teams particularly tanky. The special of the unit reduces cooldown by 2 turns, boosts damage against enemies that have been afflicted with Burn, and boosts the attack of Striker, Shooter, and Free Spirit characters by 2.75x.

15 Vivi & Rebecca – Great As A Sub

  • Class: Striker, Cerebral
  • Stats: ATK- 1512, RCV- 478

Vivi & Rebecca Shared Benefactor proves that any legend is capable of surviving for years if the developers put effort into the unit. Vivi & Rebecca may not be the best captain to use in order to clear the content, but what makes this unit almost irreplaceable is its swap and special.

With their special, Vivi & Rebecca remove damage reduction and increase defense shield completely, and they add 2x affinity for Striker and Cerebral characters. Vivi & Rebecca provide extra healing and chain lock with its swap, which allows the player to clear rooms before the boss stage with relative ease.

14 Halloween Law – Ideal For Speed Runs

  • Class: Slasher, Cerebral
  • Stats: ATK- 1595, RCV- 302

Halloween Law is a very strong unit that boosts the attack of INT characters by a variable amount. It starts at 4.25x and every perfect adds 0.15x more attack. The players can also heal by hitting perfects, which works perfectly with his ability to add more damage.

In addition to this, Law reflects any damage taken by 100x in INT damage to all the enemies and he reduces 10 turns of despair with his captain ability as well. Law's special isn't bad either; he boosts orbs of INT characters and provides one turn of resilience.

13 Halloween Shanks – Overall The Best INT Legend

  • Stats: ATK- 1602, RCV- 291

Shanks is a universal attack booster, but most of the time players will be using him as an INT lead. His captain ability boosts the attack of INT characters up to 5x and the rest of the colors get a 3.75x boost, which is not bad at all. Like Law, every perfect provides an additional heal.

RELATED: All Of The One Piece Movies, Ranked According To IMDb

Shanks's special is quite restrictive as players need four INT characters to get the chain multiplier and his affinity boost only works for Slasher and Cerebral characters. Both boosts last for 3 turns. Shanks's super special provides orb manipulation and 100% defense reduction. Shanks is extremely good in PvP as well.

12 Red Hair Pirates – Broken Swap & High Chain-lock

  • Type: QCK/PSY
  • Stats: ATK- 1625, RCV- 360

The Red Hair Pirates have aged quite well ever since their release. They are universal attack boosters that boost the attack of all characters by 4.5x and they also provide a decent HP boost. The unit also reduces 10 turns of special silence and makes two types of orbs matching for the entire crew.

Their special locks the chain at 3.5x which allows the players to take down high HP bosses. The best thing about the unit is the swap. By swapping the unit, they provide a 1.5x attack to the entire crew and they guarantee 3 matching orbs almost all the time.

11 V3 Boa Hancock – Unique Mero Mero Special

  • Class: Free Spirit, Shooter
  • Stats: ATK- 1551, RCV- 380

Boa Hancock is a PSY legend with a very unique special ability. She is the best Boa Hancock unit in the game. Boa Hancock boosts the attack of PSY characters by 4x and it goes up to 5x depending on the amount healed. She boosts the attack of all other characters by 3.75x.

The thing that truly makes Boa an insane unit is her special. Boa's special inflicts Mero Mero state on all enemies. The enemies that are in the Mero Mero state cannot attack until 15 combo hits are dealt to the enemies. Her super special can be triggered by simply using her regular special, which makes her extremely easy to use.

10 V2 Snakeman – Great Special & Captain Ability

  • Stats: ATK- 1650, RCV- 295

The second legend Snakeman was released on the global version along with three other legends. Luffy's Snakeman is a super strong unit that takes care of attack and orb boost with its super special and regular special respectively.

RELATED: One Piece: Every Pirate Crew Part of The Straw Hat Grand Fleet

Luffy boosts the attack of STR characters by 4x without a matching orb and by 5x if they have an STR or RCV orb. Naturally, the unit makes RCV orbs beneficial for all characters and also provides a solid HP and RCV boost.

9 Kozuki Oden – Can Give WANO Orbs To Any Team

  • Class: Free Spirit, Slasher
  • Stats: ATK 1644, RCV- 225

Oden is one of the two super legends who were released on both the Global and Japanese versions simultaneously. Oden provides a 4.25x attack boost to all characters and a huge 1.5x HP boost, which makes the teams very tanky. STR characters get a 4.75x attack boost if they have a WANO orb.

WANO orbs provide a whooping 2.5x attack boost and they cannot be shuffled just like RAINBOW orbs. Oden's special changes STR orbs into WANO orbs and the unit also provides a 2.5x orb boost to Slasher and Free Spirit characters for two turns.

8 V2 Shirahoshi/Mansherry — High Utility Sub That Gives High Chain Boost

  • Stats: ATK-1424, RCV-624

The first Shirahoshi/Mansherry legend was phenomenally good and so the expectations for V2 Shirahoshi/Mansherry were very high, and it is fair to say that Bandai did not disappoint the players.

V2 Shirahoshi/Mansherry have a special and it deals with a lot of enemy debuffs. With their special, they remove RCV Down, Poison, Paralysis, and Blindness completely, and they also reduce Burn and Bind by 7 turns. They also heal the crew and add 1.2x to the chain multiplier.

7 Sugar – Can Bypass Barriers & Other Annoying Debuffs

  • Class: Driven, Cerebral
  • Stats: ATK- 1520, RCV- 317

Sugar is arguably the most fun unit in the game. With her captain ability, she boosts the attack of characters that have a cost of 40 or less by 4.5x, while the other characters get boosted by 3x.

Sugar can turn five characters into toy bears with her special, and these bears have a cost of 40. The toy bears are unaffected by stun, paralysis, bind, and burn, plus they also ignore barriers on enemies.

6 Gol D. Roger – Has The Most Powerful Captain Ability

  • Stats: ATK- 1740, RCV- 202

Roger made his debut in the game along with Oden, during the Super Sugo Fest. He has the strongest captain ability in the entire game. He boosts the attack of all characters by 4.5x and it goes up to 5x when the player uses his special.

RELATED: One Piece: The Strongest Weapons In The Series, Ranked

The special thing about Roger is that the enemies can't clear the buffs that have been placed on the crew. This action is limited, and it is triggered only once during an adventure. His special boosts attack up to 3x for a turn depending on the damage that has been dealt throughout the adventure.

5 Luffy/Sanji – Easy Orb Manipulation

  • Type: STR/PSY
  • Stats: ATK- 1671, RCV- 371

Ever since their release, Luffy/Sanji have fallen off pretty badly. They are very slow in comparison to the newer legends. The unit allows the players to overfill HP. This mechanic makes the teams a lot more durable and allows them to tank more hits.

They also reduce bind, despair, and paralysis by one turn with their swap. Their special provides a huge heal and boosts the crew's attack by either 2.5x or 2x, depending on the HP at the time special was launched.

4 Sanji/Pudding— Works Well As Both Sub And Lead

  • Class: Fighter, Cerebral
  • Type: DEX/QCK
  • Stats: ATK- 1654, RCV- 393

Sanji/Pudding is one of the most overlooked legends in the game, however, they are easily one of the most consistently performing legends. When their dual form is activated they boost the attack of Cerebral and Fighter characters by 5x and they also make three-color orbs matching the two classes.

With their special, Sanji/Pudding removes two types of defensive buffs from enemies completely and they also boost the color affinity for Cerebral and Fighter characters by 2.25x.

3 Big Mom vs Kaido- EOT Damage

  • Class: Driven, Powerhouse
  • Type: STR/INT
  • Stats: ATK- 1750, RCV- 233

Big Mom vs Kaido is the first versus legend to be introduced in the game. Both of them serve unique purposes. VS Kaido is mainly used for speed farming as he cuts the HP of enemies by 20% at the end of every turn. And Kaido's VS ability can deal very high damage to enemies , but he is nerfed by NAO.

VS Big Mom is also a 5x captain but for STR, PSY, and INT(Kaido boosts STR, DEX, and INT). When her VS ability is activated, Big Mom can bypass defensive effects and barriers. She is tankier as she boosts HP by 1.5x to Kaido 1.3x.

2 Fire Tank Pirates- Very Tanky Unit

  • Class: Shooter, Driven
  • Type: DEX/PSY
  • Stats: ATK- 1600, RCV- 345

Fire Tank Pirates is an astoundingly powerful legend. The legend makes the crew immune to being blown away. In their dual form, the legend is a 5x captain for Shooter and Driven characters. They also reduce incoming damage by 60%.

With their special, Fire Tank Pirates reduce Silence by 5 turns and boost the attack of Shooter and Driven characters by 2.5x for 2 turns. The legend removes silence on themselves completely with their swap and also reduces damage and heals the crew by a small percentage.

1 Ace VS Akainu- Can Burn Through Immunity

  • Class: Shooter/Free Spirit, Driven/Powerhouse
  • Type: STR/QCK
  • Stats: ATK- 1699, RCV- 283

Ace VS Akainu is undoubtedly the best legend in the game. They are the second versus legend released on the global version of the game. VS Ace is a Shooter and Free Spirit captain with inbuilt special rewind resistance. He also has a 2x conditional attack boost against enemies that have burn applied to them, but Ace's burn does not go through immunity.

VS Akainu is a literal monster who is a flat 5x captain for Driven and Powerhouse characters, and after every turn, he applies burn to enemies. The most amazing thing is that Akainu's burn is able to bypass immunity . With such incredible abilities, it is easy to see why they are one of the best legends in the game.

Gameplay [ ]

General [ ].

Treasure Cruise follows the standard turn-based gameplay of traditional RPGs. The game proceeds through a variety of islands based on the different story arcs of the series. Each island contains a number of different levels where the player fights hordes of enemies.

Crew Information [ ]

The player can organize up to eight crews with the playable characters they acquire as they progress through the story,  gacha  pulls and various promotions. They can put up to six people in each crew, and can also sacrifice the generic playable enemy and animal characters to increase the levels of and evolve other characters.

One Piece Treasure Cruise features simple tap controls. An attack is initiated by tapping any character in the lower part of the screen, and tapping other characters at the right time forms combos and deals extra damage. The combos are "miss", "good", "great", and "perfect". Also, the player can have a chain attack boost for getting good, great, and perfect. Many characters possess unique special abilities that can to help turn the battle in the player's favor.

Characters [ ]

Almost all characters that are present in gameplay are acquirable as playable characters. The only exception so far is Frieza , who was available in a past crossover event. • Golden Pound Usopp(GPU) manuals: Arguably the best unit in the game, Golden Pound Usopp is key to clearing most early game content due to providing a 3 turn delay on a 10 turn cooldown. This means hitting up the Kuro FN. While Kuro's a decent beatstick, the FN doesn't really offer you much aside from him and Usopp books. Max Usopp ASAP then move on to bigger and better things.
  • FN Alvida: Alvida is another fantastic unit that sees a lot of play throughout the entirety of the game, helping you overcome raids like Mihawk and Doflamingo due to her large damage reduction. She's also unique in that the big three(Akainu, TS Luffy, Nekomamushi) can all make great use of her due to her classes and typing, so your choice of starting Legend is likely no argument against her. Highly recommend getting one copy of FN Coby from the Cobymeppo FN, evolving him, and feeding the Cobys you get from Alvida's FN to FN Coby as sockets in the name of efficiency.

Pretty good. With the blurb about getting players to research, you should note that this OT should be a safe place to ask questions about team-building.

I think that's good info to include.

Question on Raid Enel: Do you want him to have 200 RCV CC to maximize his healing or just a 100 with the other 100 in one of the other options?

Jayhawk said: Maxing out RCV CC on raid Enel is a good idea, but you are capped at +100 CC for a stat. So people tend to go +100 RCV, +100 ATK for Enel. Click to expand... Click to shrink...

I forget Raidleigh exists because I only play Japan. Yeah he is a good choice. Outside of them it is probably best to just save RCV for a RR/Legend that can use it.

Just realized that you can unlock Jinbe fn... Max socket Boss Jinbe with tomes before that though, lol. Those tomes could have been used on Rayshop Corazon. Will farm Cora now a bit more.

Nice OP. Speaking of candy, I put my RCV candies on Raid Enel, Corazon and 3D2Y Sanji.

Those Neo Sabo raids will be brutal. Got Boss Jinbe and Ivankov and with legend Magellan I at least got one boosted unit for every class. Cerebral will be probably the hardest raid. I think I run a Invasion Shanks team with Inuarashi friends (hopefully I at least have four per day). Croc might be too risky as a captain... Fighter might work but with no buff remover it might be tricky. Shooter I just use a Ace team and let Magellan kill him.

Majukun

aaand we are back online yeah, not looking forward to neo sabo too if i remember correctly, this is the neo raid where they switched from a 30 minutes timer to a "do x number of runs per day" kind of limit right?

Hyperfludd

Neo Sabo scares the heck out of me. Also I think I have like..300 RCV sitting in my box at this point. I don't really have good units to put them on, haha.

koryuken

Good to be here !! I forget, do certain units get a cool down reduction on neo Sabo? (Like Wanda and Sicilian) The Cerebral raid is going to be stupid if these units have base cooldowns.

I downloaded the game yesterday and even did some rerolls but I was oriented to not bother with it until the next Sugofest. I'll take my time to read these awesome tips here before starting for real!

Nice thread! Looks awesome! And feels good to be back on a forum

Huh I've actually got a number of characters in that top 5 RR google doc. Shiryu, Marco, Ivankov and Gear 3 (not evolved and it seems he doesn't necessarily have the same level of use from before).

When it comes to Cotton Candy, is there a recommended way to use it? I have a good number of each in my inventory.

Kyou said: The cheapest way is to feed a hundred of a type to a pig or turtle, then feed that turtle to whoever you want the cotton candy on. Most characters you'll want 100 H!and 100 Attack, if they use recovery for a special or captain ability you'll want 100 RCV on them and you can flip a coin on the other hundred or go 50/50. Not really a good reason to feed recovery cotton candy to anyone who doesn't have a use for it, the gains are so small. Click to expand... Click to shrink...

Info on Invasion Garp is out. STR - Fighter/Free Spirit CA - 2.75x attack to fighters and 15% damage reduction SA - If targeted enemy has less than 25% HP reduces all enemies defense to 0 and insta-kills target. If over 25%, cuts enemy health by 30%. Free spirit units get another toy they probably don't need and Jimbe slips further and further into obscurity.

I dunno about ya'll but I got super burned out by the admiral thing, having to take a couple days off before Sabo I've been sitting at full stamina all day and it feels great

That thing killed me, I ended up not even getting a legend pull at the last minute. :( I love seeing more Garps.

Damn, the Cerebral Sabo raid is giving me headaches... Thought I could run a nice team with the new Ivankov, 3d2y Robin, legend Croc and Momonga with Invasion Shanks as a captain but I think I won't survive stage 4 with that. And since I don't have Inuarashi I can only do a few runs... My new team will use Wanda and TS Nami instead of Croc and Robin... Use Ivankov on stage 4 and the Shanks special to clear the stage easier and then hope that Wanda is giving you good orbs on stage 5. This might even work with a double Shanks team...

Trying to get a rainbow pirate penguin from the evolver forest is hell. Already wasted a gem worth of stamina for nothing...

NeoSabo's gonna be rough... Today I'm farming NM Luffy, probably going to throw them into TSL sockets. I need more skillups on NM Luffy himself buuuut I've never even seen a team to use him once, so, maybe not. And even if he was going to be my Powerhouse INT unit for a Lucci team, I pulled Jimbe, so I'm all good there now

One Piece Treasure Cruise tier list

One Piece Treasure Cruise tier list

This game has over 4000 characters. New players will get intimidated by it, and that's why there's a great need for the One Piece Treasure Cruise tier list.

One Piece Treasure Cruise, is a mobile RPG that’s been going strong since 2014, and has been constantly updated with the new characters added to the Straw Hat Pirates since. But, with such a massive roster that means that picking the wheat from the chaff can be difficult, so we’ve done our research and compiled our One Piece Treasure Cruise tier list ranking the different crewmates and captains!

one piece treasure cruise special v jump

For the  One Piece Treasure Cruise tier list, we’re going to come at it from the angle of characters with the most potency, the best synergy and the best evolutions, not all of them! To keep things at least somewhat feasible, we’ll name the characters in general - assume that this covers their evolutions and unique variants as well. So a character with one very good variant may not be ranked high, even if their one variant is extremely good, but won’t rank bottom based on their lacklustre variants either.

Essentially, we’re grading on an average with each tier set out in no particular order, so don't worry if your favourite is the bottom of S tier because they're still S tier - but without further ado, let’s set sail!

Monkey D. Luffy in a fighting pose

It shouldn’t be surprising that the Straw Hat Pirates and their close allies are mainly at the very top of the One Piece Treasure Cruise tier list. Given the iconic nature of the series, Luffy, Nami, Zoro and the others are constantly receiving new unique variations.

Not only that, but the fact that the crew is canonically so close means that the synergy behind their different slot types (STR, INT, and PSY) is incredible, so if you want a simple and effective set of characters to shoot for, the Straw Hats are a great choice.

Not only that but since you acquire Luffy and the others to begin with, evolving them - and in some cases needing them for story progress - is basically your default progression path anyway.

As for Gol D. Roger - he’s the king of the pirates, where else do you expect him to go? Right, in all seriousness his abilities of his default variation - causing true damage and ignoring any effects to the contrary - has earned many cries of OP, congruent with his rarity.

Edward Newgate posing with his huge scimitar

A tier is where you’ll find a large number of characters; One Piece boasts a massive cast, and many of them are fan favourites who are well-represented in Treasure Cruise.

The Admirals in particular boast a vast variety of evolutions and variant cards, while the famous pirates (Shanks, Mihawk, Buggy etc.) outside the central Straw Hat crew boast unique cards and evolutions too.

If you want to move outside the comfortable familiarity of the Straw Hat Crew then exploring the options these characters open up is a great pick.

Coby Marine captain

Characters relegated to this tier either have convoluted evolution paths, or simply not straightforward ones and lacklustre lower-rarity cards.

Coby and Helmeppo top this list, as despite having interesting career paths in the series - going from background characters with the more cartoonish designs seen earlier in the series to genuinely capable fighters on their own - their evolution paths only go up once.

They still have strong variants, but not necessarily as easily acquired, or worthwhile on their own as upper-tier characters.

Alvida in a bikini with a while cowboy hat and a huge black mace

This tier is where you’ll find characters that are named, and are useful if you pull them but can be superseded by better characters or are only useful in certain circumstances. They’re still useful in areas like the early and mid-game and are well worth learning to use, although they aren’t exactly ones you’ll be excited to pull.

Nevertheless they’re not instant sales, and if you’re interested in gathering as many named characters as possible it’s more than worth knowing that these are available for completion's sake. It’s also strangely fitting for Usopp that his absentee father only has a single variant in Treasure Cruise, even compared to other Red-Hair pirates like Roux.

Aladdin surrounded by water and fish

Characters in this tier are somewhat more useful than the ones relegated to the E tier. They’re still likely not going to be a lynchpin or even journeymen characters you use for any significant length of time, but they’re not immediate sells and can be useful in special circumstances or are needed for story missions.

Note: Characters in italics are part of a series - for example; there are different variations of the navy ensign with damage types, but they all fall under the same ranking. The Mr-series are individual agents of Baroque Works, and have their own independent variations but fall under the same category for the purpose of brevity.

Higuma from One Piece

Characters at the bottom of the One Piece Treasure Cruise tier list are, to use the nomenclature of fandom, “trash”. These are functionally useless with next to no levelling potential and are simply there to fill out rosters and provide synergy before you get a named character that can then be used for that space in your crew if even that. Advice is to sell, sell, sell as these characters can’t even be used for evolutions.

Generally, any generic tier character that’s part of a series is useless except if you’re literally just starting out, although even then you’re likely to roll at least one much better character before you leave the tutorial proper.

This includes lower-tier generic characters, but as you can see in the next tier up, there are generic characters that have utility. However, characters in this tier rarely if ever are needed even for story missions. Generally, many “animal” characters that aren’t named fall under this category too.

Note, the world nobles, the “Saints” have an extremely high sell value compared to the usual fodder. So they can be an easy way to big money.

7 Special Mention - Partners

Trafalgar Law and D. Luffy surrounded by smoke

8 Nil Tier - Evolvers & Boosters

One Piece penguin in a red swimming suit holding a red fish

While 4000 characters sound impressive, there is a significant portion that can be discarded from our ranking. In this case the evolution and booster characters - such as the Crabs, Penguins, and Pigs. These are characters that are acquired solely to use for evolving your other characters or boosting their level and won’t factor into any team build. However, it’s worth looking these up regardless to gauge their rarity, what they’ll contribute if used for evolution and whatnot - so you know whether to save them, there are numerous fan resources that list elements such as the materials you can use for certain evolutions so you don’t miss out on a preferred character.

9 Further Resources

Fortunately, with almost ten years of development and fandom growth under its belt (makes you feel old doesn’t it?) One Piece Treasure Cruise has a wealth (pun intended) of resources available. Check out sites like the One Piece Treasure Cruise wiki for a comprehensive overview of the currently available characters and notes on their utility.

Also, with One Piece Treasure Cruise tier list in mind, do remember that with many gacha games, older characters are likely to drop in usage as you get to higher-tier content or newer content. Meanwhile, characters which will likely be lacklustre in a few years still have their niche. So give newer characters a chance if you don’t find their placement on this list agreeable.

Naturally, since these are fan resources we can’t guarantee they’ll always be correct, but given the mind-bogglingly huge variety of things to do in the game, they’re a great place to get started.

Fans of similar games will be pleased to know that we have a tier list for Sea of Conquest , and a Reverse 1999 tier list where every girl has her place.

One piece treasure cruise character guide

Hey guys it's Sinus with a blog that's a little longer than my usual blogs. I love one piece treasure cruise, a mobile gacha game that in my opinion is definitely worth trying out. Content is being added to the game very frequently and there's always something to do. Many people either don't know about the game or just haven't tried it themselves and for this reason I wanted to create a blog that introduces new players to the game and helps them get started. But first off this blog is not a complete guide of the game, but will only cover everything about what there is to the characters and what to focus on when using them. I won't go in full detail about the gameplay or about team building, though this blog might help a little with what to focus on while building a team.

With a game like this of course you want to get a lot of really good characters or units as they are sometimes called. The characters are what make up the crews you will be using to clear the stages after all. Some units will be better than others. While looking at what units are actually good and how to use those units optimally there are a few things to keep in mind. Here I will explain some important things to know about the characters without going in depth about the gameplay itself too much.

One piece treasure cruise character guide-Hey guys it's Sinus with a blog that's a little longer than my usual blogs. I love

All the characters is optc have a rarity varying from 1 to 6 stars. Of course the higher the rarity the better the character will (most likely) be. The only way to get 5 star characters that can evolve into 6* characters is on certain days called Sugofest. I would recommend only pulling during these sugofests because the 6 star characters you can only pull during these days will really help you out.

Every character has certain stats. These stats are hp, attack and rcv. The hp stat of all the crewmembers will be added up and become one total crew hp. Once your crew hp reaches 0 you will have lost. The characters can all keep their individual attack in the crew, this will the amount of damage you will do to your opponent. Rcv stands for recovery and will like hp be one added number for the whole crew. Rcv isn't the most useful stat for most characters because it's all up to luck if you can recover in the first place, usually. All these stats can be boosted or nerfed during the stage but I'll come to that later on. The general max stats can also be boosted for any character by leveling up the character or using cotton candy. By using these to power up your characters the max that that matches the cotton candy you used will permanently be improved. You can feed any character up to a total of 200 cotton candies. If you use a rcv cotton candy the rcv of this character will go up by 1, for an attack cotton candy you get +2 attack and for an hp cotton candy you will get +5 hp.

All characters also have a set cost to them. This can vary from very low to very high. The lowest cost you'll probably ever see being used is 9 while the highest is 65. The better characters usually have a higher cost. The maximum cost your crew can have depends on the pirate level you are. The higher your pirate level the higher your maximum cost will be and the more good characters you can fit in your crew. So if you were to pull good characters, especially I'd recommend not evolving them until you're sure you can use them in a good team. Most good characters have around 15 when unevolved and around 30 cost when evolved, legends have a cost of 30 when unevolved but 55 when evolved.

While you progress in the game you might notice that sockets might become somewhat important. Every character has a set amountof socket slots which can vary from 1 to 5. And the chosen socket(s) can get up to 5 levels per character. But to overall amount of levels of all the sockets in the current crew will be used while you play a stage. So while socketing a character you want to consider in what kind of crews it will be used and what the sockets of the other crewmembers will be. The sockets of a friend captain will count as well. Sockets can be given to a character when they are powered up with with the same unit, another version of this unit or specific socket books. However you can't get a socket by using skillbooks. In most cases one out of 10 sockets will be chosen at random. But it's also possible to collect socket books that give a set socket. These are very rare however and will usually appear in certain events. The 10 types of sockets are: bind resistance, despair resistance, autoheal, Special reduction, matching orbs, poison resistance, field damage resistance, rcv up, resilience, and damage reduction. The ones I'd recommend trying to get are mostly bind and despair resistance, since they are important for clearing certain stages, third is autoheal which can recover 1000 hp after each turn at max which can be very useful if you take some damage while trying to get a special ready or to just survive for a little while longer. Special reduction and matching orbs can be useful as well but I wouldn't bother too much trying to get the other sockets.

One of the most important things about a character is its special. There are lot of characters in the game, and with this also comed a wide variety of specials. Now it is possible to make a good team with units who have a special that's not so good. But if you really want to clear some of the harder content in the game you want some units who have a good special. But having a unit with a good special doesn't always mean the character's special is usable. This is because of cooldown. Every special in one piece treasure cruise needs time to charge, and especially with the better specials this will usually take more turns before it is ready to use. You can however, reduce the cooldown on these specials. This can be done by either powering up the characters with the exact same version of the character, or by using a skillbook for that version of the character. But there is still a limit to how much cooldown reduction you can have on a special. These skillbooks can be obtained trough specific stages in the game which I won't go in depth on here. It's also recommended to wait for a x2 skillup event when trying to reduce the cooldown on your specials. The skillups are a result of chance, power up a character with a skillbook or the same version of the character and you get a chance to get a skillup. This chance is fairly small however. By waiting for these x2 skillup events you optimise the cooldown on your characters special.

Every good crew needs a captain with a good captain ability. A captain ability is an effect, based on the captain you have set for your crew. This will, like the specials, differ from character to character. A good captain ability is crucial to beating a lot of the content. Most of the time these captain abilities will last trough all of the stage you play and doesn't need to be activated. However there are some conditional captain abilities that require you to do something before it goes in effect. Captain abilities often boost certain classes or types so you really want to think about who would be the best captain for the units you have.

There is also something called a sailor ability. These abilities are only active when the unit who has the ability is not the captain of your crew. There are three kinds of sailor abilities: stats boosting ones, the ones that give you resistance against certain kinds of status effects and the unique ones. The stat boosting sailor abilities usually boost a stat for certain classes, types or for itself. This boost will usually be about 100 at max. While these might not be the best sailor abilities, it's definitely a nice little boost. The resistance sailor abilities make debuffs have less of an effect on your own character or crew. It usually just reduces the amount of turns that the debuff is in effect. For certain stages this can really make the difference. The unique sailor abilities are just the ones not specified as stat boosts or resistance. An example of this is having certain orbs that are of a different type than the character count as matching orbs. Some can be useful, others will be less useful. You can't tell just based on knowing that it's an unique sailor ability.

Every character is one of five types. These types are: Str, qck, dex, psy and int. You want to make sure you attack the right type of oppont with the right type of unit. St is good against dex but weak against qck. Dex is good against qck but weak against str. Qck is good against strong but weak against dex. Psy and int are both good against each other. If you already know the stage beforehand you can pick the type of character that works best for it. If you don't know the stage, you can always try to go with a so called 'rainbow team' consisting of all types with a captain who has a captain ability that is beneficial to all of your units.

One piece treasure cruise character guide-Hey guys it's Sinus with a blog that's a little longer than my usual blogs. I love

Next to types every character is part of one or two classes. There are a total of 10 classes, these classes are: slasher, striker, fighter, shooter, driven, cerebral, powerhouse, free spirit, evolvers and boosters. The evolver and booster classes aren't meant to put in a team. The purpose of these classes is to sacrifice the units who have those classes to either power up another unit with more exp or to evolve another unit. Unlike types, the classes aren't necessary good or bad against your opponent. However they can be crucial to making some good teams. This is because some captain abilities or specials only work for certain classes. It's important to know your characters class before putting them in a team where the captain ability is only beneficial to a certain class.

This concludes the character guide. A more detailed team building guide or gameplay guide might eventually follow this blog is it becomes a success. If you have anymore questions about the game you can always invite me to a PM and I'll be glad to answer your questions or help with whatever it is you need help with. For now thanks for reading and good luck with the game.

But having a unit with a good special doesn't always mean the character's special is usable. This is because of cooldown. You can however, reduce the cooldown on these specials.
