I was so excited to see Matchbox Twenty and I definitely was not disappointed. I grew up listening to their music and "Unwell" was probably the first song I ever knew all the words to. The Matchbox Twenty concert I was a part of wasn't like some crazy party. There weren't giant mosh pits and people jumping all around but it was special. It really felt like you were a part of something. The band, especially Rob Thomas (the lead singer), really wanted you to have fun. You could tell that they had fun too. Rob loved the words he was singing and the band loved the songs they were playing. They had a good mix of their earlier and later songs. It was almost impossible not to shout out all the words you knew to the songs. It really was impossible for anyone there to not be enjoying it. I think another important thing about a Matchbox Twenty concert is that the fanbase is not composed of people who could ruin your experience. No one there is going to make you feel uncomfortable. The fans aren't there to get super drunk or high. They're there to listen to the music they love and that makes for a great atmosphere.

Despite a delay in start time due to a lightning storm requiring emergency "seek shelter" directive, some of their equipment getting rained on and a noise curfew requiring a shortened show, Matchbox Twenty was perfectly awesome! Much thanks by Rob Thomas for all of us diehards wearing garbage bags yet still soaked to the bone who returned to the concert after the evacuation. I didn't think their set list was shortened so if it was, they still were able to get in many of their great songs. I brought my two teenage sons to this concert, their first ever concert, and we had just a great great and memorable night. We travelled three hours to see this show, returning home at 4 a.m. The next time we get the chance to see Matchbox Twenty or Rob Thomas solo, we are so there!

We were about to leave when I mentioned to security that we not able to see. We were sitting on the lawn and the jumbo trons were not on and we were far from the stage. I had seen Black Sabbath there 10 months ago and they had huge video screens so everyone could see no matter where they were sitting. And he said.." my friend and I could walk down into the seated section and sit anywhere we wanted too, so the last 20 minutes of Matchbox 20 we were up close and I could really feel the music.

Awesome show! I loved getting to see Counting Crows and Matchbox 20!

The venue sucks. The seats are terrible in that the rows are so short you can't see anything over people. You wait in line forever to even get into the venue. Stood in line for half an hour just to get in. Waited twenty minutes before that to even park. Bathroom lines are awful. Guys jump in women's lines because they're too lazy to walk to their bathroom. Won't be going back to Lakeview anytime soon!

Overall, great concert. Matt Nathanson drew the audience in quickly and kept their attention. Both performers gave a great tribute to Tom Petty which was well done. Hearing the diverse selection on songs over the last few decade from Matchbox 20 gave something to everyone. Thanks for keeping the price affordable.

What a great show!! Super fun. The band was so energetic and you could tell they were having fun. Rob Thomas was stellar. He used the entire stage during the whole show. He is definitely a seasoned entertainer. I couldn't believe how much energy he had! Would definitely recommend and would see them again!

Very personable and interacted well with the crowd. Very professional performance. I would definitely go to see them again.

Matchbox Twenty Announces Rescheduled Tour Dates

Multi-platinum, hit-making pop-rockers Matchbox Twenty announced today the rescheduled dates for the band's summer tour. Produced by Live Nation, the highly anticipated tour will now kick-off on July 16, 2021, at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT, and will wrap-up October 7th at the Hollywood Bowl (see dates below).

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new concert dates. Ticket holders who cannot attend the newly announced shows will receive an email directly allowing them to request a refund. For more details, please visit livenation.com/refund .

Originally scheduled for this July through September, the 2021 tour is the band's first since 2017, when they reunited for the "A Brief History of Everything" tour to mark the 20th anniversary of their RIAA Diamond-certified debut album Yourself or Someone Like You.

In 2020, Matchbox Twenty had a massive “Matchbox Twenty 2020″ tour planned and ready to go.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the group had to put the perfectly titled tour on the back burner.

This summer, they’re finally ready to embark on the tour they didn’t get the chance to go on two years ago.

Starting in May, Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty will play live shows alongside The Wallflowers all over North America for the first time since their “History of Everything” tour with the Counting Crows in 2017.

They even have back to back shows in New Jersey on July 16 and 17 .

If you’re hoping to see the group’s triumphant return to the stage, here’s everything you need to know.

The Wallflowers

Frontman Jakob Dylan’s constantly evolving group will serve as Matchbox Twenty’s special guest on the mega tour.

Over the past few years, The Wallflowers have stayed active having released their seventh studio album “Exit Wounds” in 2021.

“There’s never been one lineup that’s made two records. So the constant is myself,” Dylan said. “If you think there’s a sound of The Wallflowers, I’m making that with my choices in the studio and with my songs and voice.”

Matchbox Twenty announces rescheduled summer 2021 tour dates

After announcing last month that their 2020 summer tour would be postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Matchbox Twenty has some good news for fans.

The band has rescheduled its tour for summer 2021. The new dates will now kick off next July 16 in Uncasville, Connecticut, and wrap on October 7 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new shows. Ticket holders who can no longer attend can visit LiveNation.com/refund for details on how to request a refund.

The tour — the band’s first since 2017 — was originally scheduled to run from this July through September. After postponing in May, Matchbox Twenty had promised fans new dates were coming.

“We were really looking forward to seeing everyone this summer but we must put everyone’s safety first. So, sadly, we will be rescheduling all North American dates until next year,” they wrote on social media. “We’ll be announcing 2021 dates as soon as possible. Please stay safe and healthy and we look forward to seeing you in 2021.”

Matchbox Twenty Reschedules Concert Tour Dates For 2021 [Dates, Deals & Ticket Info]

Matchbox Twenty ‘s tour has been rescheduled to 2021, when things will hopefully be “Back 2 Good.”

The tour is set to kick off on July 16 in Uncasville, Connecticut and travel through the United States before ending in Hollywood on October 7. Tickets for the original dates will be honored for the new dates and refunds can be accessed through Livenation, according to the band’s website.

This upcoming tour is the first since 2017, when the band toured for the 20th anniversary of the album  Yourself or Someone Like You .

Matchbox 20’s Rescheduled 2022 Tour Dates

Matchbox 20’s 2021 tour with The Wildflowers has been rescheduled for 2022.  The tour kicks off with a May 17th show in Vancouver, BC, followed by a May 19th show at the White River Amphitheater in Auburn, Washington .

Matchbox Twenty Are Hitting the Road This Summer With the Wallflowers: See the Dates

This summer's Matchbox Twenty 2020 tour will kick off on July 17 and find the "3AM" band hitting the road with The Wallflowers.

Matchbox Twenty will hit the road this summer for the Matchbox Twenty 2020 tour with special guests The Wallflowers .

The Rob Thomas -led band will kick off the run of arenas and amphitheaters in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on July 17 with a show at Wind Creek Event Center, and wind their way across North America with stops in Atlanta, Nashville, Houston, Toronto, Denver, San Diego and Las Vegas before wrapping up with a Sept. 28 show at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles. 

“I’m proud to be a part of the greatest pop rock band in the world and I can’t wait to play with them again,” Thomas said in a statement about the band’s first tour since 2017 — a reunion trek to mark the 20th anniversary of their RIAA Diamond-certified debut, Yourself or Someone Like You . “Stepping on stage with Matchbox and sharing those songs with the fans feels as natural as breathing to me at this point.”

Matchbox Twenty fanclub members can purchase tickets starting Tuesday (Jan. 14) at 10 a.m. ET, with tickets going on sale to the general public starting Friday (Jan. 17) at noon ET here ; click here for additional ticketing information. The official presale card for the tour is Citi, with presale access to cardmembers beginning on Wednesday (Jan. 15) at 10 a.m. local time until Thursday (Jan. 16) at 10 p.m. local time here .

As a bonus to fans, VNUE will be offering fans “instant” collectible CD sets and collectible downloads of each date on the tour through partner DiscLive . VNUE is also working with Ticketmaster to offer fans the option of buying the “instant live” CD sets when they purchase their tickets for the tour.

The Matchbox Twenty concert scheduled for June 17, 2022 at Riverbend Music Center was rescheduled to Friday, June 16, 2023. The Wallflowers will no longer be support. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE MATCHBOX TWENTY CONCERT

• MATT NATHANSON will begin at 7:30PM and MATCHBOX TWENTY will close the show
• Patrons will be allowed to bring in up to four 33.8 fl oz factory sealed bottles of water. Squeezable, soft plastic water bottles that are empty will also be allowed (please note that non-squeezable plastic water bottles will not be allowed). In addition, there will be free ICON Water Refill Stations on site, as well as multiple Carrier Misting Stations.
• If you have Mobile ticket(s), make sure to download your ticket(s) prior to arriving at the venue. To download your mobile ticket(s) to your phone, go to "My Events" in the Ticketmaster App and select "Add To Wallet" (on iPhone) or "Save To Phone" (on Android). With your ticket open on your phone, tap your phone to the event staff's scanner during entry. For more info, CLICK HERE.
• Due to anticipated crowds, traffic to the parking areas could become congested. Those attending the Matchbox Twenty concert should plan on getting to Riverbend as early as possible. Carpooling is highly recommended
• The Rideshare Lane for Uber/Lyft Pickup is located at Gate 9 across the street from Coney Island's Main Entrance. For directions and a map of the parking lot, , CLICK HERE .
• There are two exits on I-275 that connect to Riverbend Music Center: Exit 71 (New Richmond) and Exit 72 (Kellogg Avenue). If traffic is backed up at one of these exits, please continue to the next exit.
• Download the Connect Cincinnati App for free WiFi at the show.
• Please allow extra time for metal-detector screening, visual inspection, and bag inspection conducted by Riverbend Music Center security personnel. Any bag/purse larger than 12"x12" will not be permitted. The purpose of the inspection is to detect prohibited items and is for the safety of our guests and our staff.

Matchbox Twenty tour dates, including a show in the Pittsburgh area, are being pushed back to next year.

Matchbox Twenty is now scheduled to perform at the Pavilion at Star Lake on Friday, July 15, 2022.

"Although we are encouraged by the success and speed of the vaccine rollout, there are still far too many varying factors at play. This makes it not possible for us to put together the tour we intend to bring to you," the pop rock band announced on social media. "We are extremely disappointed to have to make this decision, but we promise that when we return, we will bring you the greatest show we have ever done. Take care of each other and we will see you in 2022."

Tickets are on sale at livenation.com. Previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date.

Two other tours on Star Lake's summer schedule -- Dave Matthews Band and Santana/Earth, Wind & Fire -- were also postponed in recent days.

Matchbox Twenty have quietly woven their songs into the very fabric of American popular culture. The band has sold over 40 million records worldwide, dominated charts, garnered multiple GRAMMY Award nominations, and played to millions of fans in arenas, amphitheaters, and stadiums across continents.

Earning hits in each of the last three decades, Matchbox has gone from perennially dominating radio airwaves and ruling MTV to piling up streams in the billions, speaking to the enduring appeal of their music.
