JEUDI 22 Février 2024 ALL STAR PERCHE by SCC DE RETOUR POUR LA 9ÈME ÉDITION MAISON DES SPORTS DE CLERMONT-FERRAND

Après une édition 2023 exceptionnelle couronnée par un record du monde avec 6m22, Armand DUPLANTIS nous a confirmé sa présence à Clermont-ferrand pour l’édition 2024. Cela sera probablement sa dernière compétition sur le sol français avant les Jeux Olympiques de Paris 2024.

En l’absence sur le sautoir de son ami et organisateur Renaud LAVILLENIE, qui est au repos forcé cet hiver pour soigner ses ischios-jambiers, il sera évidement l’homme de toute les attentes, accompagné par les meilleurs perchistes du mo- ment pour une répétition générale à tous juste 5 mois des JO. Une compétition à ne pas rater!

Depuis le 25 février 2016, date de la première édition du ALL STAR PERCHE organisé par Renaud Lavillenie, la compétition n’a cessée de progresser et d’évoluer à Clermont-ferrand.

Au fil des années, s’appuyant sur l’expérience d’athlète de Renaud Lavillenie et s’entourant de professionnels de l’organisation, le meeting s’est imposé comme l’une des références mondiale annuelle pour le saut à la perche. A plusieurs reprises, le concours international fut le concours le plus relevé du monde en terme de densité de performances, notamment en 2018 avec 7 perchistes à 5m88 et plus, et avec en récompense le record du monde en salle le 24 février 2023 avec les 6m22 du suédois Armand Duplantis.

En parallèle du concours international, le All Star Perche est devenu l’occasion de promouvoir l’athlétisme à travers la pratique du saut à la perche. En effet, il y a eu depuis 2016 lors des différents éditions un moment découverte du saut à la perche pour les scolaires, une après-midi pour l’UNSS, un temps d’initiation pour les partenaires, un concours des anciens champions de saut à la perche, un concours découverte pour des champions d’autres sport et aussi la journée du Perche Elite Tour avec des concours de tous niveau.

Un programme qui s’adapte chaque année avec un succès garanti.

L'Univers Perche by Le Dévoluy

On January 13, 2024, Dévoluy will host a stage of the Crédit Mutuel Perche Élite Tour, an international pole vaulting competition , christened “Univers Perche by Le Dévoluy” . Supported by the Gap Hautes-Alpes Athlétisme club, the Dénivoluy association, the Tourist Office and the Dévoluy commune, the competition will be held at the Superdévoluy sports center.

What is Le Perche Élite Tour? First and foremost, it’s a national circuit that will feature 5 stages in 2024. The one in Dévoluy will open the season and will be the only one offered in the south of France (the only one in the mountains too), among Bordeaux, Lille, Clermont-Ferrand or Rouen. This competition brings together the world’s and France’s greatest pole vaulters, who go there above all to prepare their season and the 2024 Olympics as best they can. More than a competition, it’s also a real show where the avalanche of records is often associated with a spectacle for aficionados of the discipline or curious passers-by. Many headliners will be present, they are listed below.

Among the men, the show should be up to the expected athletes. Chinese Jie Yao with his 5m82 should do well. So should Ethan Cormont, who came 5th in this year’s European indoor competition. Baptiste Thiery, elite 2023 French vice-champion with a record of 5.72m, and local Robin Emig, 2023 European vice-champion, could share the podium.

On the women’s side, on the vault, Ninon Chapelle will be defending her French record of 4m75. The athlete, 6 times French Elite Champion and 13 times selected for the French team should occupy the top step of the podium. Also to watch out for, Marie Julie Bonnin, European U23 Champion in 2023 and 3 selections for the French Senior team, with a personal best of 4m55. Albane Dordain and Bérénice Petit, Vices World University Champions, can also claim a podium.

A sporting and educational project to benefit young people The Perche Élite Tour will be preceded by a week-long eductour aimed at young people from the Haute-Alpes region. This will enable them to discover 3 themes: sport, health and the environment, through workshops, debates, role-playing, exchanges and experience-sharing.
