I am a simple guy. I need a place to shower, pop my popcorn, and park my truc. The showers were down due to no hot water. Yet, I would still have to pay to use shower for misc use. I think that could've been free or at least a disxount. My appt to get my tire replaced was 8am the next day. I called and then I was informed that had I helped them put me in the queue. So basically they wouldn't have called me. Took about 3 hours after to get in a lane. Then once in lane I was done pretty quiccly. Seems like it's more reserved parking than actual parking. The parking lot pavement seems like it hasn't been touched up in 50 years. But there were a lot of parking in general. Probably like 200 truccs there. It was a peaceful stay.

This TA is a-OK. There's really nothing special about it... ...restrooms in a otherwise very poor i-84 stretch that offers nothing for motorist but traffic and aggravation. Yeah, I love CT highways NOT. They have a Burger King, a convenience store and very busy and heavily used restrooms with out of order stalls. The convenience is that it's right off the highway and it offers some quick in and out drivers the ability to not drive far. Eats: We stopped in the Country Pride restaurant and I will submit a separate review of this place, but the quick gist is: it was DEAD empty on a Saturday afternoon! Food sucked and was expensive! Paid over $50 for 2 club sandwiches and some chicken fingers. Fries appeared like they were taken out of a frozen bag, and soaked in oil, staff were disinterested and food took forever to be sent out. AVOID this like the plague! I should have just went to BK if I wanted to eat garbage, at least it would have been a fraction of what I paid.

If you want some hot food between midnight and 7 am then pass this place. A truck stop that doesn't have food at night is just ridiculous. If you are here during the day and go to Burger King, almost every employee is rude and slow.

What a great stop! Diner, DD, fitness are, laundry, showers, travel goods (snacks & electronics) + the staff is friendly & very helpful-I only interacted with Jenn in the morning shift but she was wonderful, helped me find everything I needed

A very convenient Travel Center right off of I-84. Just follow the signs and you will get there. They have a few restaurants there to get a bite to eat and of course a restroom for those in need. The place is clean which is always a plus.

Randomly stumbled across this rest stop on our way home from Boston. I was very impressed that it not only had a gas station & convenient store, it also had a Dunkin Donuts, Burger King and a small restaurant. Plenty of options for anyone. I was most impressed with how clean the store and restrooms were. When we got there they had just finished cleaning them but you could tell they were very well taken care of and maintained. I wish more rest areas were like this one.

Decently large size TA. Just stopped in for some Dunkins. No wait friendly people when I went.

If you're headed toward Hartford on 84W, looking for a rest stop, and already in Connecticut, well it is your only option for one-stop shopping. Prices aren't great, but there's fuel for both regular customers and big rigs, a convenience store, plenty of car necessities (some in the convenience store, some back in a second area), two sets of bathrooms that are at or above rest stop standards, some games, a Dunkin Donuts, a Burger King, and a diner/restaurant. Additional amenities are available as well, though I assume only truckers utilize them (such as an itty bitty gym, several showers, laundromat, and lockers). Are the prices great? No. In fact the gas was some of the most expensive if not the most expensive around. But it's semi-convenient and easy to see the signs from the highway for non-locals and truckers and the immediately adjacent FedEx hub probably give them all the gas sales they need anyway. Should you stop by? Eh, maybe. Tired and need a place to stretch? Good for that. Gas? See above, but it isn't much cheaper off the other exits anyway, unless you're local enough to know where, and flexible enough to spend an extra few minutes ( GasBuddy helps). ...besides, is your time worth a couple extra bucks? TA wagers yes. Food? Eh. Maybe if you're a trucker and need a big parking spot, or just want mediocre fast food, donuts and coffee, gas station hotdogs or snack food.

This is the "Most Excellent Truck Stop" Quoted first by a 6 year old leaving, and again by our family each time. They have everything you could ever want! True trucker gear, plush toys, Christmas presents, books, novelty socks, dragon toys, food, showers, laundry, fitness room, 8 foot long phone charging cables fleece cargo shorts! You name it! The people who work here are amazing as well! Out Burger King order was hand delivered and they had the impossible burger so I could eat there. Off Ruby road, we will stop every time!

This has become my go-to stop on the long drive home from Stamford. Easy on and off the highway Ample parking Well lit parking lot Open 24 hours Dunkin' is open 24 hours The (girls) restrooms out back by the truckers entrance are always empty and clean.

I got the double jalapeño bacon burger. Loaded potato comes with real crispy bacon in it. The waitress was super nice and went ... out of her way to get me those veggies in the picture. My husband and I have eaten here before and it's always been good. Until today. Let's start with the food. I had the traditional ... breakfast and the only good thing was the eggs. The English muffin was burnt, the bacon was not crispy at all and the slop thatwas supposed to be grits was disgusting. If the cook doesn't know how to cook something, don't offer it. My husband had thechicken fried steak and scrambled eggs. His food was barely warm. And now let's get to the service. We both had coffee and hadto keep asking for refills. And the last time my husband asked, she went into the back came out and went to another table andgot their money and filled up their drinks. And she still didn't come out with the coffee. And we had to ask again. She had 4people at the bar and 4 tables. I can understand when you are busy but this was ridiculous. If she can't take care of hercustomers, you need to get her some help or find someone that can. If we ever walk back in and she is the server, we will walkright back out. Read more

Not really clean, the food is not worth the money. $16 plus tip is too much. ingredients are maybe $3 by 4 =12 inklusive Coffee ... that's will be ok. And a little bit more love to the food. The plates look like an accident. And after served the Coffee shesaid, no pancakes today. Read more

We stopped for a lunch and found the service to be nice and the menu was varied. The club sandwich and sweet potato fries were ok, but shrimp bowl was not appetizing.

Breakfast buffet $10.99.2 eggs/tater tots. $9.Good waitress and food arrived quickly.Would go back again.Lunches are around $15.

I like stopping here when travelling north. The breakfasts are usualy good enough. A tip - if you eat breakfast here (and are alone) buy the Hartford Courant newspaper - the time it takes to read it is exactly the same time as to eat... breakfast. It is a good paper. I have celiac disease and must eat gluten free. Most often the dinner buffet is okay with me, but the last time most of the entrees were pasta or breaded, so I passed on it. Sometimes the food sits out longer than it might before replensihment, but I don't care. I like it. More

As we spent the day moving into the area, we were looking for a place to grab something quick. We tried the buffet that was extremely poor. Food was cold and not flavorful.m, and the service was equally lacking. Should of eaten at BK and... I don’t like BK at all More

I had a porterhouse. It was great . Big baked potato and salad bar . Best steak I have had in awhile . Deb was my waitress . Great job

Very good breakfast and breakfast buffet. Located in a rest stop complex it was a very convenient stop along the highway through Connecticut. Food was very good. Service was reasonable. Value for money.

Travelling from NY to Boston we stop at the Robert Fernald Travel Center Willington, Connecticut just for a break. We saw the food they were serving and all of the sudden I got hungry. I had chicken strips made from real chicken breast and fries.... My partner had a Chicken BLT with fries and we both had soft drinks. The food was freshly cook and delicious. Very abundant, we could hardly move. And it only cost just under $25.00 US dollars. Stop at this place when you travel! They also have buffet. More
