On 8 April , a total solar eclipse will sweep across Mexico, the US and Canada. This kind of eclipse only occurs when the sun and moon line up perfectly in the sky so the moon covers the entire disc of the sun, casting a shadow on Earth. The path that this shadow takes as it rushes across the ground at speeds in excess of 2400 kilometres per hour is called the path of totality, and during this eclipse it will pass from Mexico’s west coast, up across 13 US states and through Ontario, Quebec and Newfoundland in Canada. At any given location, totality will last between about 90 seconds and nearly 4.5 minutes.
Solar Eclipse 2024
On 8 April a total solar eclipse will pass over Mexico, the US and Canada. Our special series is covering everything you need to know, from how and when to see it to some of the weirdest eclipse experiences in history.
During this time, the sky will be dark as twilight and temperatures will drop up to 10 degrees. Viewers will be able to remove their eclipse glasses – crucial during the partial phase of the eclipse – and look directly at the sun as it is covered by the moon. This coverage renders the sun’s outermost layer, the corona, visible. During other times, it is too dim to see in the glare of sunlight. Total solar eclipses like this one are valuable times for researchers studying the sun, and they have led to enormous scientific advances over the years.

(CNN Español) -- La mayoría de las personas que reciben un ingreso por una actividad económica en México debe presentar su declaración anual de impuestos del ejercicio 2023 ante el Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) a partir del 1 de abril de 2024.
Tu declaración anual debe incluir la información de tus ingresos, deducciones autorizadas y personales, retenciones y tus pagos provisionales, según el SAT.
Entre los gastos que puedes deducir en tu declaración se encuentran los honorarios médicos, dentales y gastos hospitalarios; las consultas con nutriólogo o psicólogo; los donativos; los intereses por créditos hipotecarios; las colegiaturas y el transporte escolar; los gastos funerarios, entre otros.
- Tabla de impuestos del SAT en México 2024: ¿cómo calcular cuánto tengo que pagar según ingresos y estado civil?
Todas las personas físicas residentes en México que deban realizar los trámites de declaración de impuestos pueden hacerlo a través de internet en el micrositio del SAT. Solo es necesario que cuentes con la contraseña/e.firma, tu RFC y, si tienes saldo a favor, con tus datos bancarios.
Para evitar multas y recargas, te decimos cuál es la fecha límite para realizar este trámite.
Fechas clave y límite para la declaración de impuestos en México
1 de abril: A partir de este día todas las personas físicas pueden comenzar a presentar su declaración anual de impuestos.
30 de abril: Los contribuyentes cuentan con un mes para pagar los impuestos correspondientes al ejercicio 2023.
¿Quiénes deben presentar su declaración anual de impuestos?
Si eres una persona física que obtienen ingresos a través de cualquiera de estas actividades, debes presentar tu declaración ante el SAT:
( Atención : si estás bajo el régimen de sueldos y salarios y tienes ingresos acumulables no mayores a 400.000 pesos mexicanos, no debes presentar declaración anual , siempre y cuando no recibas ingresos extras además de tu salario, como por ejemplo honorarios por un trabajo adicional, por arrendamientos o por venta de propiedades).
Sueldos y salarios
- De un solo patrón y dejaste de recibirlo antes del 31 de diciembre.
- Si además obtuviste ingresos distintos de salarios.
- Si trabajaste para dos o más patrones de manera simultánea.
- Si los salarios provienen del extranjero o de personas no obligadas a retener.
- Si además obtuviste ingresos por indemnización o jubilación.
- Si la totalidad de tus ingresos anuales por sueldo excede de 400.000 pesos mexicanos.
Servicios profesionales
- Se trata de aquellos que obtienen ingresos por su cuenta y emiten comprobantes de honorarios.
Actividades empresariales
- Plataformas tecnológicas.
- Actividades empresariales en la región fronteriza.
- Actividades agrícolas, ganaderas, silvícolas y pesqueras.
- Régimen de Incorporación Fiscal (RIF) con coeficiente de utilidad.
Rentas por algún bien inmueble
Aquellas personas que cobran renta por algún departamento, casa o local comercial.
Para personas que reciben intereses o dividendos
Enajenaron bienes
- Se trata de personas que vendieron algún bien
Adquisición de bienes
Declaración anual 2024: devolución, cómo se presenta y fecha límite para personas físicas
Los contribuyentes deben comprobar su información correspondiente al ejercicio fiscal del año pasado. el trámite se realiza directamente en la página del servicio de administración tributaria.
Las personas físicas tienen que presentar su declaración anual correspondiente al ejercicio fiscal del año pasado. El documento, que forma parte de las obligaciones fiscales de cada ciudadano, se realiza ante el Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) . Para este año, el reporte corresponde al ejercicio fiscal de 2023, incluye los ingresos y egresos de cada trabajador. Los contribuyentes deben presentar los documentos correspondientes a su información fiscal : su Registro Federal de Contribuyente (RFC) y su firma electrónica, entre otros.
Quiénes deben presentar la declaración anual de 2023 ante el SAT
Las personas físicas están obligadas a presentar su Declaración Anual 2023 ante el SAT. Esto incluye a los contribuyentes en el Régimen Simplificado de Confianza (RESICO) , con actividades empresariales y que hayan percibido salarios durante el año pasado. En el caso de ingresos por sueldos y salarios, el Servicio de Administración Tributaria precisa que los contribuyentes con un solo patrón y que dejaron de trabajar antes del 31 de diciembre del año pasado deben presentar su declaración anual. Lo mismo ocurre si trabajaron para dos o más patrones al mismo tiempo; si su ingreso proviene del extranjero; con una indemnización laboral; con ingresos anuales superiores a los 400.000 pesos mexicanos y, finalmente, si obtuvieron ingresos distintos de salarios. Las personas físicas que deben presentar su declaración anual en 2024 son:
- Contribuyentes bajo el régimen de sueldos y salarios
- Con ingresos por servicios profesionales
- Con ingresos por actividades empresariales
- Bajo arrendamiento de bienes inmuebles
- Si registraron enajenación o adquisición de bienes
- Con intereses o dividendos
- Inscritos en el Régimen Simplificado de Confianza (RESICO)
Adicionalmente, las personas físicas que a través de préstamos, donativos o premios hayan obtenido 600.000 pesos mexicanos, o una cantidad superior, deben incluir esta información en su reporte fiscal ante el SAT.
Requisitos y documentos para presentar la declaración anual
A los contribuyentes inscritos como personas físicas, el SAT les solicita obtener su Registro Federal de Contribuyentes (RFC), su firma electrónica y una contraseña de acceso. En caso de saldo a favor deben presentar su información bancaria y reclamar su devolución de impuestos . Estos son los documentos necesarios para presentar las declaración anual en personas físicas:
- 13 dígitos del Registro Federal de Contribuyentes (RFC)
- Firma electrónica vigente
- Contraseña SAT ID
- Cuenta Clabe e información bancaria sobre el contribuyente (solamente aplica para las personas físicas con saldo a favor)
Cuándo se presenta la declaración anual 2023 para personas físicas: fecha límite en México
El plazo para presentar la declaración anual de 2023 para personas físicas es del 1 al 30 de abril de 2024. En caso de no presentar la obligación fiscal dentro de la fecha límite, los contribuyentes se vuelven acreedores a una multa de hasta 34.730 pesos mexicanos, de acuerdo con el SAT. Las personas físicas que presenten su declaración anual a tiempo y que se les asigne algún impuesto adicional tendrán el beneficio de diferir el pago en hasta seis mensualidades. La primera parcialidad se realiza en abril de 2024 y la última debe cubrirse antes del 30 de septiembre.
Cómo se hace el trámite para personas físicas: paso a paso ante el SAT
La declaración anual se realiza en la página del SAT. Para los trámites en línea, los contribuyentes deben contar con su RFC y su firma electrónica. El primer paso para presentar el documento es acceder al sitio web del SAT e iniciar sesión con el RFC, la firma electrónica y una contraseña. Después de iniciar sesión, los contribuyentes deben dirigirse al apartado Declaraciones y seleccionar el ejercicio fiscal que corresponda. Las personas físicas tienen que cargar sus documentos. Al finalizar el trámite en línea, la página del SAT arroja un acuse de recibo de declaración como comprobante.
Qué pasa si no se presenta la declaración anual: multas y sanciones en México
En caso de no presentar la declaración anual 2023, los contribuyentes se vuelven acreedores a una multa cuyo monto varía según el Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) . Por cada una de las declaraciones no presentadas en el plazo correspondiente, la multa oscila entre 1.400 a 17.370 pesos mexicanos. Además, al presentar una declaración fuera de tiempo, la multa es de hasta 34.730 pesos mexicanos.
