If you need to make a claim you should contact your Travel Agent, Tour Operator, airline, accommodation, or credit card provider for a refund in the first instance.
To make a claim, you can get a claim form from the website https://csal.co.uk/claim-forms/ .
Alternatively, you can call our claims team on 01403 289 151 . To assist with the claim, please have your policy reference number to hand. Please note we are currently experiencing a very high level of claims owing to Covid-19 and the Coronavirus, there may be longer than usual call waiting times.

You don’t have to cancel your current car insurance policy if you get a new car. You can simply modify your old policy. When you update your car details online, you might need to pay for a higher premium or you might get a refund if the new premium is lower.
If you have changed your address or keep your car in a different place or suburb, you need to let us know. It may affect your premium so you might have to pay a little more or you may get a refund.
You can update these details online:
- First name, middle name, last name
- Contact phone numbers
- Email address
- Mailing address
There are many reasons that you might want to change your details. Maybe you want to close an account and start payments from a new one. Perhaps you want to consolidate your payments so that they all come from one bank account. You can even choose seperate bank accounts for each insurance policy. If you need to change your bank details, you will need to change them on each policy that you want to be using the new bank details for. For example, you can’t just change it for a car insurance policy and then expect it to automatically be updated on your home policy.

Renew your travel insurance annual policy. Call 0330 159 0409 to contact our Customer Service Team. Monday-Friday 9am-5pm (except bank holidays). If you're already an existing RAC travel insurance customer then you can find useful information on making a claim and updating your policy.
