2024 USA Tour tickets now on sale

We’re heading to the USA again this summer where we’ll face Manchester United and Liverpool as part of our preparations for the 2024/25 season.

First up, we'll play Manchester United at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, on July 27. This will be the second time we’ll have faced each other on American soil, with the same fixture last July selling out the 80,000-capacity MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.  

In another high-profile game, we’ll travel to Philadelphia where we’ll play Liverpool at Lincoln Financial Field on July 31. This will be the first time we’ll have played each other in the US.

Our sporting Director, Edu, said: “Our plans for pre-season are taking great shape. Playing against two strong teams in great stadiums in front of so many of our supporters will provide Mikel and the squad with a strong test and great experience ahead of the new season.

This summer, for the first time ever, the Premier League is launching its own preseason tour in the United States. If you want to see Chelsea, Newcastle, Aston Villa, Fulham, Brighton or Brentford in person, here are the Premier League Summer Series ticket details.

Officially, Summer Series tickets go on sale to the public on Wednesday, April 26. One day prior, tickets are available in an early access window. However, if you want to get your tickets even earlier before they sell out, they are available via ticket resellers.

Summer Series ticket details for fans of Premier League clubs

Premier League Announces Summer Series is Heading to Atlanta

‍ LONDON & ATLANTA (April 11, 2023 ) – The Premier League announced today its first-ever pre-season tournament in the United States will take place this July, with six clubs travelling to take part in matches and events in five major East Coast cities including a double header at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 26.

The effort to bring Premier League matches to Atlanta for the first time ever, is led by the Atlanta Sports Council, Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, AMB Sports & Entertainment and the City of Atlanta.

The Premier League will stage a double header at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Wednesday, July 26. The first match will feature Brentford FC v Brighton & Hove Albion FC, slated for a 5:30 p.m. kickoff, followed by the return of former Atlanta United star Miguel Almiron as Chelsea FC faces Newcastle FC, scheduled for an 8:15 p.m. kickoff.

Atlanta Falcons PSL holders and Atlanta United season ticket members will receive an email soon on their presale opportunity. Tickets for all matches in the Summer Series will be available via a Premier League pre-sale on Tuesday, April 25 and go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, April 26.  Fans can register their interest now via www.premierleague.com/SummerSeries and can also register to hear more about supporting events in their area, as well as general news updates.

The clubs confirmed to feature in the Premier League Summer Series are Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, Fulham and Newcastle United. They will compete in a total of nine matches between July 22 and July 30 at stadiums in Atlanta, Harrison, NJ, Orlando, Philadelphia and Landover, MD.

This is the first time the League has hosted a pre-season tournament in the USA, giving US-based fans the opportunity to watch a world-class line-up of Premier League players and managers in action. The tournament will comprise high-profile matches and pre-season training camps and will be supported by a range of events for fans and local community groups.

The Premier League Summer Series is part of the League’s ongoing commitment to its US-based fans. In addition to the tournament, the League will work closely with a range of grassroots and community organizations in each host city to create a program of community and youth soccer initiatives.

The tournament builds on the success of the eight Premier League Mornings Live fan festival events the Premier League and its broadcast partner NBC Sports have hosted in multiple US cities since 2018. These events have seen more than 60,000 fans attend live match screenings in iconic locations, coming together to share their passion for the competition. This is in addition to the millions of viewers who watch week in, week out on television in the USA.

Premier League Chief Executive Richard Masters said: “We are delighted to be bringing six clubs to the USA in July for the first-ever Premier League Summer Series.

“Our clubs have incredible supporters in the US, who passionately follow their teams throughout the season. We have seen this dedication first-hand from the tens of thousands who have attended our Mornings Live fan events and are excited to be building on this by bringing live Premier League action to five cities this summer.

“We are currently enjoying one of the most competitive Premier League seasons of all time at both ends of the table and I am sure we will see some thrilling matches during the tournament.”

The Premier League’s long-standing broadcast partner NBC Sports will be the host broadcaster across the networks of NBCUniversal and Peacock for the Summer Series with the Premier League’s international licensees broadcasting the event around the world in up to 188 countries.

The Premier League has previously hosted pre-season matches via the Premier League Asia Trophy. This biennial tournament launched in 2003, with nine editions taking place in China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

Atlanta Sports Council president Dan Corso said : “We are thrilled to bring four of the world’s premier soccer clubs to compete in Atlanta as part of this very special event.

“We believe our city is the country’s top destination to hold international sporting events and look forward to continuing to work with our partners locally and with the English Premier League to create a remarkable experience for all involved. In addition, this event fits in nicely with our city’s continued preparation to host the FIFA World Cup 2026 and will provide tremendous exposure with the matches being broadcast in 880 million homes and 180 countries.”

It's not every summer you get the chance to see your favorite Premier League club stateside, but an unprecedented number of teams from England's top flight are now planning a preseason invasion before the 2023-24 campaign begins on August 12.

The latest announcement is the unveiling of the Premier League Summer Series USA 2023 schedule, stadiums, clubs and locations. Beginning July 22, six squads will contest nine matches in five cities over the space of nine days.

The six clubs entering the mini-tournament are Chelsea, Newcastle, Fulham, Aston Villa, Brentford and Brighton. All six are clear of relegation (it's crazy to realize that 11th-place Chelsea are currently lowest in the table), and that's obviously a big consideration since it appears that Fulham have taken the place of a team that was earlier rumored, relegation-threatened Leeds.      

The five Premier League Summer Series stadiums (all located on the East Coast) are Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia, PA), FedEx Field (Landover, MD), Red Bull Arena (Harrison, NJ), Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, GA) and Exploria Stadium (Orlando, FL).

If you can't make it, NBC Sports will broadcast the Summer Series across the networks of NBCUniversal and Peacock.

Chelsea Premier League Summer Series schedule  

Thoughts: Will Christian Pulisic still be with Chelsea at this point? He's actually a rumored Newcastle transfer target. All we know is that Todd Boehly's going to be busy. 

Newcastle Premier League Summer Series schedule

Thoughts: Miguel Almirón makes his return to Mercedes-Benz Stadium and 71,000 will be there to see it. Things have changed a lot since 2015, when Newcastle was drawing 20,000 to Miller Park in Milwaukee with most fans there to see Atlas.  

Fulham Premier League Summer Series schedule

Thoughts: Every Fulhamerica match should be an instant sell-out. This is basically the Tim Ream 2022 World Cup Appreciation Tour. 

Aston Villa Premier League Summer Series schedule

Thoughts: Your chance to see Emi Martínez in the flesh. After not doing anything all season, Philippe Coutinho probably scores a banger too.  

Brighton Premier League Summer Series schedule

Thoughts: Bring your children to watch Kaoru Mitoma and teach them the science of the dribble. Also have them get 18-year-old Evan Ferguson's autograph for you.

Brentford Premier League Summer Series schedule

Thoughts: Will Ivan Toney still be around? He's worth the price of admission. 

It's also worth noting that Arsenal are already scheduled to play the MLS All-Stars on July 19 in Washington D.C., and Manchester United are playing Wrexham in San Diego (July 25) and Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas (July 30) at this time.

At this same time there's also Leagues Cup (July 21-Aug. 19) action between all 47 MLS and Liga MX clubs. And we'll all be keeping strange hours to follow the Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.

Liverpool usa tour 2024: schedule, tickets, stadiums and more, share this article.

For the first time in five years, Liverpool will embark on a preseason tour of the United States.

After touring Asia for two straight summers, the Reds will be heading back to the U.S. this year for the first time since 2019.

Liverpool will kick off its tour on July 26 against Real Betis in Pittsburgh. The club will then face Arsenal in Philadelphia on July 31 and three days later, the Reds will take on Manchester United at Williams-Brice Stadium, home of the University of South Carolina football team.

“We are proud to announce our highly anticipated return to the USA, providing a great environment for the squad to prepare for the season ahead,” said  Liverpool’s commercial director Ben Latty.

The tour will be the first time in nine years that Liverpool won’t have Jürgen Klopp as head coach, as the German has announced he’ll leave the club after the 2023-24 season.

The inaugural Premier League Summer Series is heading to the USA in 2023 as teams will square off across multiple American cities in a brand new tournament.

Alan Shearer: ‘I love the passion of the fans’

The Premier League’s all-time leading goalscorer Alan Shearer spoke to ProSoccerTalk (full interview above) about why this Stateside tournament is going to be special.

“It is fantastic news. I have been lucky enough to spend time with the guys at Premier League Mornings Live and be at seven of the eight that have happened and it is fascinating,” Shearer said. “I love the passion of the fans. I love the friendly rivalry. For them to get up at stupid o’clock and queue for hours and come in and watch their teams and mingle and all get together. I love it. To have six teams coming over to America in the summer, I think it is fantastic and something to look forward to.”

“I love how passionate the fans are,” Shearer added about Premier League fans in the USA. “They are obviously very knowledgeable. They obviously love their football very much. I understand it might not be the No. 1 sport in America but soccer is growing and it is growing really fast… The more events like this, the more times that we, the Premier League, come over to America and showcase the Premier League and the trophy at these organized events, it is only going to get bigger.”

“I think this will be the first of many,” Shearer continued. “It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this was going to happen every single season. It will be a great tournament, a chance to see some Premier League legends and huge football clubs.”

The tournament follows along the same lines as the league previously hosting the Premier League Asia Trophy which was held biennially in Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Thailand and China .

Premier League clubs are already turning their attention to preseason plans and preparations for the 2024-25 campaign.

Liverpool , Manchester United and Arsenal have announced they will be doing their preseason touring in the United States while playing a series of head-to-head fixtures against one another. July 31, in Philadelphia, will be the first time that Liverpool and Man United have met in the USA since 2018, when they played in front of 101,000 fans at Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.

Manchester City and Chelsea have each announced they will participate in the Soccer Champions Tour, which will be played in six cities in the USA this summer, alongside Real Madrid, Barcelona and AC Milan. Man City will face AC Milan and Barcelona in the first two games of the collection, and Chelsea will close it out against Real Madrid. Both teams will also have other friendlies across the USA.

Aston Villa have also announced they will be returning to the United States this summer, with a friendly against reigning MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew set for July 27. While West Ham, Wolves and Crystal Palace are all playing games in the USA this summer too.

The Premier League will stage a six-team Summer Series across five Eastern cities in the United States in July, headlined by Chelsea and Newcastle United , the league announced on Tuesday.

Having previously arranged a biennial Premier League Asia Trophy dating back to 2003, the Premier League will host a preseason tournament in the U.S. for the first time, July 22-30.

With Manchester United , Liverpool and Arsenal also planning to play summer friendlies in the U.S., Tuesday's news means that almost half of the Premier League's 20 teams will prepare for the 2023-24 season in North America.

"We are delighted to be bringing six clubs to the USA in July for the first-ever Premier League Summer Series," Premier League chief executive Richard Masters said. "Our clubs have incredible supporters in the U.S., who passionately follow their teams throughout the season.

Chelsea will face Brighton & Hove Albion in the opening Summer Series game at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field on July 22, with Fulham facing Brentford and Newcastle taking on Aston Villa at the same venue the next day.

Three games on July 26 will pit Brentford against Brighton in Atlanta, Fulham versus Villa in Orlando and Chelsea taking on Newcastle in the late game at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Brighton will play Newcastle at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, on July 28 before FedEx Field in Maryland hosts Villa against Brentford and Chelsea against Fulham on July 30.

The 76ers, Eagles, Flyers, and the Big 5′s seasons are all done by late June. It might seem that a few nice nights at Citizens Bank Park and the occasional Union game in Chester is all that’s left.

But, between a boxing champ’s homecoming , a popular pickup basketball tournament, and a few of the world’s greatest international soccer talents, there is plenty to see around the area over the next couple of months.

These are the top 10 sporting events coming to Philly this summer.

10. Philadelphia Distance Run, Sept. 15 at 7:30 a.m.

Considered one of the country’s top half marathons, the Philadelphia Distance Run brings runners to the city from across the nation. The race was founded in 1978 and hasn’t looked back since — over 2,400 runners participated in the 2023 edition and many more lined the streets to cheer them on.

Starting on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, weaving past the Liberty Bell and City Hall, and finishing up outside the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the run provides a picturesque tour of Philly. It takes place annually on the third Sunday of September, which falls a few days before the end of summer in 2024. Whether running or spectating, this is a special community-building event that everyone enjoys.

9. Gotham FC vs Washington Spirit, Subaru Park, July 28 at 6 p.m.

The inaugural NWSL x Liga MX Summer Cup kicks off next month, and Subaru Park is hosting a pair of games in Group D. A battle between the Washington Spirit and Chivas on July 21 precedes a marquee matchup on July 28 when the Spirit face Gotham FC.

The Spirit and Gotham FC currently sit third and fourth in the NWSL, respectively, and with only the Group D winner getting the chance to advance in the tournament, a lot will be on the line at Subaru Park. Philly still doesn’t have a professional women’s soccer team, so the chances to see talents like those are few and far between.

8. Danny Rumph Classic, Community College of Philadelphia, Aug. 1-5

The Danny Rumph Classic brings Philly basketball icons to the city for elite pickup games in front of packed out gyms. After local star Danny Rumph suffered a fatal cardiac arrest while playing basketball in 2005, the tournament has taken place annually in Philadelphia to raise money for heart health. The Community College of Philadelphia is hosting this year’s event, which will see 13 games played over the course of five days, with the championship on August 5.

Last year’s tournament brought the 76ers’ Paul Reed and the Los Angeles Clippers’ Bones Hyland, and a year prior, Tyrese Maxey and former Villanova star Jalen Brunson made appearances. Cheap tickets and high-level basketball — don’t miss it.

7. Vikings vs Eagles, Lincoln Financial Field, Aug. 24 at 1 p.m.

Though it’s just a preseason game, this one is going to mean a lot. The Eagles are on the road in Baltimore and New England for their other two preseason affairs, so the Minnesota Vikings represent their lone dress rehearsal at the Linc.

Free agent signing Saquon Barkley, a Penn State alumn, will be playing his first game as an Eagle in Philly. Birds fans will also get their first look at the rookie secondary pairing of Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, who figure to play a healthy chunk of the snaps. This is the last chance to catch Eagles football in August weather.

6. Union vs Cruz Azul, Subaru Park, Aug. 4 at 8 p.m.

While the Union have stumbled in 2024, tournament soccer gives everyone a chance. The fourth edition of the Leagues Cup, which includes all 47 teams from MLS and Liga MX, is in store later this season. The Union are grouped with Charlotte and Cruz Azul in East 4, from which two of the three teams will advance to the Round of 32.

If Jim Curtin’s men can’t get a positive result against Charlotte at home on July 27, their ultimate match with Cruz Azul will determine whether they go through. Judging by the Union’s recent home form, the nerves will be noticeable at Subaru Park on Aug. 4.

5. Jaron Ennis vs David Avanesyan, Wells Fargo Center, July 13 at 6:05 p.m.

Philadelphia’s long history of boxing will welcome another chapter at Wells Fargo Center on July 13. Jaron Ennis, a Mount Airy native and ESPN’s No. 3 ranked welterweight, is scheduled to defend his IBF welterweight title against No. 8 David Avanesyan.

While Ennis held 10 of his first 22 fights in Philly, he hasn’t returned for a match in his hometown since knocking out Raymond Serrano in 2018. The 26-year-old is a perfect 31-0 and will be stepping into the ring for the first time in 371 days when he goes toe to toe with Avanesyan. The home crowd will be raucous and Ennis has knocked out 26 of his 31 previous opponents, so prepare for fireworks this July.

4. Phillies vs Yankees, Citizens Bank Park, July 29-31

It’s worth knowing when the New York Yankees come to town — especially when they have Aaron Judge, Juan Soto, and a starting rotation that rivals even that of the Phillies. The Yanks are just two games behind the Phils this season, and they will visit Citizens Bank Park for a three-game set at the end of July.

If the two teams remain neck and neck, this series may determine who holds the best record in baseball. The Phillies have dropped four of their last five to the Yankees, and this could be a sneak peek at the Fall Classic — there aren’t many regular season games in baseball with bigger stakes.

3. Copa América Semifinal, MetLife Stadium, July 9 at 9 p.m.

South America’s premier soccer tournament is coming to the United States this summer, and MetLife Stadium is hosting a semifinal on July 9. While the USMNT won’t be making an appearance — their semifinal would be in Charlotte if the team qualifies — the match will be box office viewing.

Lionel Messi and reigning World Cup winners Argentina are favorites to emerge from Group A of the Copa América tournament and would need just one win in the knockout stages to book their ticket to East Rutherford. Mexico is the likely opponent for Messi’s squad, which could bring a chorus of boos inside MetLife when the game kicks off at 9 p.m.

The two-hour drive to and from Philly is absolutely worth it to see, in all likelihood, the world’s best player and the U.S. men’s national team’s biggest rival.

2. Phillies vs Dodgers, Citizens Bank Park, July 9-11

The Phillies are making every ballgame at Citizens Bank Park a must-watch this season, but a three-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers can’t be topped. The two best teams in the National League will square off in Philly from July 9-11 in a potential National League Championship Series preview.

It’s a midweek series, but with the first-place Phils battling reigning American League MVP Shohei Ohtani and former National League MVP Freddie Freeman, the Bank will be filled to the brim three days in a row. Ohtani and Bryce Harper are running away from the rest of the field in the NL MVP race, which will add even more fuel to the fire come July.

Liverpool and Arsenal challenged Manchester City for the Premier League title last season. Later this summer, they’ll be squaring off at Lincoln Financial Field.

European clubs don’t always play their star-studded lineups when traveling to the U.S., but you can expect goals either way — the Linc hosted three Premier League preseason fixtures last summer and the final scores read 4-3, 3-3, and 3-2. Liverpool star Mohamed Salah and Arsenal right winger Bukayo Saka should have no problem helping provide an encore.

And it won’t just be those two — Liverpool and Arsenal are expected to be busy during the summer transfer window, so there are sure to be some notable new faces making appearances at the Linc.

With narratives abound as two of Europe’s most storied clubs battle it out, this is Philly’s sporting event of the summer.
