Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Goyang – Tickets available now for South Korea’s first Safari Zone event!

Get ready—Safari Zone: Goyang is happening from Friday, September 23, 2022, to Sunday, September 25, 2022 at the beautiful Ilsan Lake Park, and tickets are on sale now ! This is the first Safari Zone event hosted in South Korea, and we couldn’t be more excited to explore Ilsan Lake Park and the city of Goyang with the Pokémon GO community!

You’ll encounter Pokémon themed around Goyang’s rich history of flowers and romance, such as Combee, Carnivine, and Blue Flower Flabébé. You may even encounter Shiny Unown Y and Shiny Spritzee—if you’re lucky!

In addition to exciting Pokémon encounters, you’ll enjoy photo opportunities, and more as you explore the scenic Ilsan Lake Park.

General Admission tickets are available now for ₩16000* and will grant access to gameplay within the event space at Ilsan Lake Park from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on the day of your choice. Those who’d like start their adventures at 9:00 a.m. can opt to purchase an Early Access ticket instead for ₩24000*. Please note: a ticket is mandatory to experience event gameplay, and event gameplay can only be experienced within the designated space at Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang, South Korea. *(plus applicable taxes and fees)

Gameplay The following features will be active within the event space on the day and time indicated on your event ticket.

• Four additional Special Trades can be made during the event for a maximum of five for the day.
• Trades made during the event will require 50% less Stardust.
• Enjoy a short event-exclusive Special Research story.
• Event-themed Field Research will be available.
• Incense activated during the event will last for eight hours. Please note this does not apply to Daily Adventure Incense.
• Lure Modules activated during the event will last for four hours.

Pokemon Go's Safari Zone is taking place in Goyang, South Korea for the first time

The Pokémon GO Fest will be concluding with a grand finale on August 27th, with a tonne of activities to participate in and rewards to win. All information can be found in this article . But, post that, trainers in South Korea will get to enjoy some more with their first ever Safari Zone event. Next month, between September 23rd and 25th, players will be able to enjoy Safari Zone: Goyang at the gorgeous Ilsan Lake Park.

The tickets for this event are already available on Niantic’s official website . General Admission tickets cost 16000 won and will give players access to all the gameplay at the park between 12:00 and 6:00 pm. A single ticket grants permission to play on only one of the given three days.

For the completionists out there, pay 24000 won and get access to the Early Access pass that lets the holder engage in all the activities three hours in advance, by 9:00 am. While trainers can just go to Ilsan Lake Park over the weekend, all the event-exclusive activities will be available for ticket holders only.

During the Safari Zone event, players will encounter a lot of Pokémon that are based on Goyang’s history which is full of flowers and romance. As a result, expect to find Pokémon like Combee, Carnivine, Spritzee, Cottonee, a few Unowns, Blue Flower Flabébé, and many more.

Numerous event bonuses will be active as well. Exclusive Special Research and Field Research stories will be live, Incense will last eight hours while Lure Modules will last four, and trades will cost 50% less Stardust, with a maximum of five Special Trades being available.

Safari Zone events are back, and Niantic just announced the next one in line:  Safari Zone: Goyang.  This event is to be held in South Korea, and it has a few interesting benefits, such as several Unown formes, the regional pokemon Carnivine, and Blue Flower Flabébé.

Pokémon GO Safari Zone Goyang – Dates, Featured Pokémon, More

Niantic and The Pokémon Company are bringing their next live event to South Korea in the Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Goyang . The event forms part of the Season of Light update, and those in attendance can expect to encounter numerous Pokémon.

While no global in-app activities are planned for this live event, there are Raids featuring Celesteela and Kartana until 27th September 2022. This guide details everything Trainers need to know about Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Goyang, including event dates and times, featured Pokémon, and exclusive bonuses.

Pokémon GO Safari Zone Goyang – Event Dates & Times

The next Safari Zone event takes place for the first time in South Korea at the Ilsan Lake Park from 23rd to 25th September 2022 between 9 am and 6 pm local time . Trainers attending the in-person event can access the location from the main entrance at Hanul Square and four additional entrances from the adjacent parking areas and Musical Fountains.

Tickets are still available for this Safari Zone event and can be purchased from the Pokémon GO Event Ticketing web page . Trainers can buy a one-day ticket from the web page, so if they wish to attend all three days, it will need to be purchased separately if tickets for the days aren't sold out.

• General Admission Ticket: ₩16000 (access to the location between 12 pm and 6 pm local time)
• Early Access Ticket: ₩24000 (access to the location from 9 am local time)

Trainers will also be subjected to the event's COVID-19 protocols, which include using hand sanitizers and respecting the event's safety measures. While they're not required to wear face masks for the duration, it could be implemented should COVID-19 cases arise in the country.

Once arriving at the location, all attendees must boot up the Pokémon GO app to join in on the event-exclusive activities. They will be the availability of four battery charging stations marked "POWERBANK" found across Ilsan Lake Park.

If technical errors occur in-app or on-site, Trainers can refer to the official Niantic Support Twitter account and the FAQ Support page for the latest news and updates. Additionally, there is an on-site technical support team at Hanul Square for in-person assistance.

Pokémon GO Safari Zone Goyang – All Featured Pokémon

During this exclusive in-person event, several Pokémon appear in the wild throughout Ilsan Lake Park on the specific day and time printed on their ticket. This includes a Pikachu donning a Safari Hat, and there's a chance for a select few Pokémon having Shiny forms (*) appearing like the Shiny Spritzee .

Pokémon GO Safari Zone Goyang – Event Bonuses

Trainers can take advantage of various exclusive bonuses available for the duration of the Safari Zone event. They will be active for the allocated date and time printed on their ticket, which could include the following:

• Four extra Special Trades can be achieved during the event with the max cap of Special Trades at five per day
• Trades will use 50% less Stardust
• Exclusive Special Research and Field Research tasks are available for the event
• Activate Incense during the event will now last eight hours; however, it does not apply to Daily Adventure Incense
• Trigger Lure Modules during the event will now last eight hours

Trainers attending the Pokémon GO Safari Zone: Goyang are reminded to remain safe at all times and ensure that they are hydrated. There are vending machines and water fountains for them to gain access to drinking fluids and more.

A new Pokémon Go Safari Zone is coming to Goyang, South Korea

Taking place just after the Finale event in Pokémon Go , Niantic has snuck in at least one more in-person activity before the end of the year. Those who reside in South Korea will be able to partake in the festivities next month.

The Pokémon Go Safari Zone is heading to Ilsan Lake Park in Goyang, South Korea from Sept. 23 to 25. Standard tickets are available for ₩16000 (roughly $12), and early access tickets will cost ₩24000 (roughly $18). Standard tickets grant access to the event from 12pm local time, and those with early access will be granted admission at 9am local time.

Like other Safari events, there will be a pool of Pokémon that players can catch. Those Pokémon are listed below and those marked with an asterisk can appear Shiny.

• Pikachu wearing a Safari Hat*
• Unown A, G, N, O and Y*
• Plant Cloak Burmy*
• Blue Flower Flabébé

Special event bonuses include some exclusive Special and Field Research, three additional Special Trades, half Stardust for trades, four-hour Lure Modules, and Incense that lasts for eight hours (not including Daily Adventure Incense).

It is unclear if this will be the last Safari Zone event of the year. There were several other Safari Zones throughout the year, but those were the result of postponed events from 2020. No other information from Niantic has been released about Safari Zone events for the rest of the year.

Those who are not in the South Korea area can still look forward to a fun Pokémon Go Fest: Finale event that will take place globally and still has tickets up for purchase until the event goes live on Aug. 27 from 10am to 6pm local time.
