NMIXX 'NICE TO MIXX YOU' Tour + Dates, Stops Release 

On March 17, NMIXX revealed their forthcoming "NICE TO MIXX YOU" showcase tour across the United States and Asia.

The K-pop girl group is set to make stops in Seattle first, followed by San Jose, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, and Brooklyn. NMIXX will also visit Bangkok, Jakarta, Taipei, Singapore, and Manila in Asia. The tour will start in May. 

Moreover, this will be the first concert tour of NMIXX since debut.

Before this, NMIXX set to release their first EP, "expérgo," since their debut. The lead track of the said album, "Love Me Like This," was arranged by the renowned producing team LDN Noise."

Nmixx's past releases, "Ad Mare" (2022) and "Entwurf" (2022), drew mixed reactions due to their unusual lyrics and song structures. Both, however, were successful, with "Ad Mare" selling over 220,000 copies in the first week of release. It is the first record that NMIXX attained during that time.

Nmixx debuted as a seven-member girl group, including Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jinni, Jiwoo, and Kyujin. The JYP Entertainment agency of the group announced the departure of one member, Jinni, last December 2022 due to "personal reasons."

On March 17 at midnight KST, NMIXX announced their upcoming showcase tour “NICE TO MIXX YOU” that will take the group around Asia and the United States!

The tour starts on May 2 in Seattle and travels to San Jose, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Washington, and Brooklyn throughout the month. In June, NMIXX will visit Bangkok, Jakarta, Taipei, Singapore, and Manila.

T he fourth generation of K-pop has marked a new renaissance for girl groups. Female-led acts have been dominating the charts, social media platforms and, more importantly, the hearts and minds of fans over the past year or so. Of the many that have made headlines, JYP Entertainment’s youngest group NMIXX are among the best.

NMIXX hit the ground running in February 2022 with the dynamic ‘O.O’ , a head-spinning blend of baile funk, pop and rock. Since then, the six-member group have offered up what can only be described as a whimsical, jam-packed theme park ride – if you’re wondering how that all looks, check out the music video for ‘Dice’ . To some, NMIXX may be an acquired taste, but it sure gets addicting the more you listen.

Though the group might have a penchant for the experimental, that doesn’t mean they can’t do pure pop goodness with the best of them. Just recently, NMIXX raced up South Korea’s Circle Chart with ‘Love Me Like This’ , from their third mini-album ‘expérgo’, and clinched their first-ever music show win on Show Champion . To put the cherry on top, they then kicked off their first showcase tour, taking them to various cities across the US and Asia.

Titled ‘Nice to MIXX You’ , the eight-stop US leg of the showcase tour kicked off in Seattle in early May, before concluding in Brooklyn’s King Theater. Four hours before their last show on May 16, and fresh off of their US TV debut on Good Day New York , NME caught up with NMIXX backstage to talk about the tour and what’s to come.

Congratulations on everything! You’re ending your last day of your showcase tour with a bang. Earlier you made your US television debut on Good Day New York . How does it feel?

Kyujin: “I’m super excited since I got to go to multiple cities as well during this long duration. I’m also so happy that I can meet NSWERs in different cities and show them our performance.”

Lily: “I’m glad that we got to go to a lot of different cities and meet different NSWERs from different places, you know? And also, in New York especially, it was our first time going on an American broadcasting system. We were very nervous, but I think it turned out pretty well so I’m really proud of us and yeah, I think we did prepare a lot for it and I’m glad that it went well so I’m very proud of us.”

Any culture-shocking moments? I saw you, Lily, about your confusion on tipping culture.

Lily: “Yeah! That definitely was something that I’m still not used to here. I don’t think I’ll ever be used to it no matter how many times I come. I just– I don’t know exactly when to tip and when not to tip, those types of things.” [Laughs]

Haewon: “I’m surprised by the small talk you can have with people that you’ve never met!”

Any favourite stops?

Lily: “A big impact on me was Seattle, which was our first stop. Before our first showcase, I was very nervous because I didn’t know how people would react if NSWERs were going to come or not or how the crowd would react to our songs and stuff. But then the Seattle crowd was just so amazing and there were so many NSWERs and so many MIXXsticks in the air and they prepared all these costumes and these signs and they knew all the lyrics and the dances. It made me feel so happy to be in that room.”

Your music has constantly evolved with every comeback, from ‘AD MARE’ to ‘expérgo’ now. How would you describe your growth?

Haewon: “Since ‘AD MARE’ was our first start, we wanted to give a powerful first impression. And as time progresses with our mix-pop genre, a lot of people can love it more. That’s kind of the route that we’re going right now.”

Speaking of, congratulations you guys got your first win on a music show with ‘Love Me Like This’. What was going through your minds when your name was called?

Jiwoo: “At first, I wanted to say my thankfulness to NSWERs and I thought NMIXX needs to work harder moving forward.”

Bae: “I was really nervous that we got our first place but I was really happy too. Because it’s all because of the fans that we got the first place so I want to think of how I can repay this to them.”

Care to share how you guys celebrated?

Haewon: “The company’s staff congratulated us with a cake within the green room.”

Lily: “Yeah, it was a super cute cake. There were animals on it that represented each of us. So it was a really thoughtful cake. We’re very thankful.”

Whenever you think of your wins and everything that has happened. What or who would you say inspired you to make you who you are today?

Jiwoo: “When I saw ITZY ’s MAMA performance [of ‘Mafia in the Morning’], I thought the stage was super cool and I looked up to that.”

Lily: “Well for me, I have a really big role model in my life and it’s Taylor Swift . I really love her. I’ve loved her even before I was even in JYP, or even before I went to Korea. And she was a big inspiration for what I wanted to do in the future. Like, I wanted to perform and sing in front of people and, you know, show people my emotions through music, maybe help a lot of people come together through music. So, that was a big inspiration for me growing up.”

If the ‘Eras’ tour goes to Seoul, will you go?

Lily: ”I mean I want to! But I don’t know, hopefully! I will beg, I will do anything if I can! But I don’t know if my schedule will allow it. But if I don’t have anything scheduled that day, I really want to!”

Because you are the youngest group in JYP Entertainment at the moment, is there any pressure that you feel?

Sullyoon: “Like more than pressure, it motivates me to work harder.”

Haewon: “I receive a lot of motivation from looking at all our senior artists. They talk about health a lot.”

Considering NMIXX are a mix of different genres, personalities and talents, if you had a chance to mix your skills with another member, who would it be and what skill?

Lily: “I want to try mixing Kyujin’s clean dance line with my vocals. I think that’d be cool. I want to see what would happen.”

Jiwoo: “And! Since I worked a lot with Kyujin since I was young, I wanted to show a new performance that shows a different side and charm with ourselves, like collaborating.”

Haewon: “I want to add Bae and Jiwoo’s loud voices to my vocals.”

What do you think is the secret to NMIXX?

Lily: “I think the secret to why NMIXX is the best team ever is because we all have that base. We all have the basics: all of us had a long training period, we can all dance, we can all sing and we all have charms. Then, most importantly, on top of that we have our own different traits. For example, Bae has her vocal tone and then Sullyoon has her soft, beautiful vocal tone. And we each have our different charms on top of the basic skills. I also think our chemistry is very good as a team when we come together. So that’s why I’m sure a lot of people can relate to us as well when they see our videos.”

Last week, K-pop rookies NMIXX wrapped up their first-ever live shows in the United States as part of their debut showcase tour, Nice To Mixx You . The three-week romp took the group to eight cities across the U.S., including jam-packed theaters in Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, Brooklyn, and more. As the tour name suggested, it was a long-awaited introduction of sorts as the energetic Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Bae, Jiwoo, and Kyujin finally got to meet their U.S. fans, NSWERs, for the first time, face to face.

For the members of NMIXX, the best and worst parts of touring are all rolled up into one: getting to experience, sight-see, and shop in new cities, while also having to go without talking to their families consistently and suffering through the jetlag of traveling quite literally across the globe. Still, the girls took every moment in stride, taking the time to explore and rest during their days off, before revving back up to 100 to deliver their energetic, and participation-heavy live shows.

“My favorite [part of tour] was NSWERs cheering us on and supporting us at the concert halls,” Sullyoon tells NYLON. “I don’t think I can ever erase that from my memory.”

What was your favorite U.S. city to play and why?

LILY : I loved all of the cities of course. Seattle was our first stop and I was worried, but Seattle was such a great crowd, that it blew all my worries away!

BAE : For me it was L.A.! Sullyoon and I shopped, visited a famous market, and took pictures at L.A. It was so much fun! That’s why it was the most memorable for me.

How do you prepare for shows — what is your pre-show ritual?

HAEWON : I read the supportive messages my parents always send me and I feel the motivation to ‘Do well on today’s performance.’

JIWOO : In order to communicate with American NSWERs, I tried my best to prepare and practice my lines in English so that NSWERs can enjoy the showcase even more!

What is your favorite thing about touring and tour life?

SULLYOON : My favorite was NSWERs cheering us on and supporting us at the concert halls! I don’t think I can ever erase that from my memory.

KYUJIN : I remember NSWERs controlling the MIXXTICK at the Atlanta show and swimming with the other members at hotel in Dallas!

What is the biggest challenge/least favorite part of touring?

HAEWON : Suffering from the jet lag! I took a nap for seven hours on my day off, and I’ve been on Korean time since then. I’m actually still a little sleepy (haha).

SULLYOON : I usually keep in touch with my parents often. The fact that it was difficult to contact my parents because of the different time zones was a bit disappointing.

What is the best meal to eat post-show?

LILY : Instead of a post-show meal, I prefer eating before the show because I need the strength to put all my energy into singing, dancing, and hyping the crowd up. During this tour I ate a full breakfast. I just love brunch!

KYUJIN : Hmmm… after a show I think ice cream is best!

What are your must-have items with you on tour?

SULLYOON : Toner and lotion! I have super sensitive skin and it itches when I don’t use my own toner and lotion. So I always take my skincare with me.

BAE : I always carry around extra portable chargers! About two or so.

Which part of the show do you most look forward to each night?

LILY : My favorite part is the encore because I can sing to my heart’s content and interact with NSWERs freely!

JIWOO : I also most look forward to the encore stage! It’s our chance to interact with NSWERs and to show off our live stages to NSWERs!

Just a few months after they celebrated their first debut anniversary in February 2023, K-pop girl group NMIXX embarked on their first showcase world tour – a feat that most rookies can only dream of.

The NICE TO MIXX YOU showcase tour kicked off in Seattle in May, and the six-piece act has since performed across the United States. Despite the tour dates only spanning for two months, the members shared that they’ve cherished each show. 

“Every time we perform, I realize that there are fans who love NMIXX so much,” Jiwoo said. “I’m so grateful and I want to be a Jiwoo who can pay back the attention, love, and support that NSWERs give.”

Bae added that one of her favorite moments from the tour so far is getting to bond with Sullyoon. “Sullyoon always sits next to me whenever I ride the plane. So I feel a bit sad if she doesn’t sit next to me anymore,” she said. 

The upcoming June 30 show at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City will mark as NMIXX’s first group visit to the Philippines – and the members are already looking forward to performing for their Filipino fans, as well as learning more about the country. 

“I’ve always wanted to visit the Philippines and meet the NSWERs there,” Kyujin said. “I’m excited because I think I’ll get to experience the culture of the Philippines.”

Sullyoon shared that she’d like to watch the sunset at Manila Bay, while Haewon wants to try eating lechon during their visit. 

As to what fans can expect for their show, Jiwoo promised that their first visit to the country will be memorable. “I’m sincerely glad to finally meet the NSWERs in the Philippines. We will perform even more amazing and unforgettable stages for you,” she said. 

Kyujin added: “Fans can enjoy not only our original songs but also the performances and live stages of cover songs. Please look forward to it.” 

While the Manila show will serve as the last stop for the group’s showcase tour, NMIXX knows that this is just the beginning of their rising popularity, especially since they’re eager to continually reinvent and challenge themselves in their future releases. 

“I love the genre of funk so I would love to try something funky,” Lily shared. “And I also love summery, bright songs, so that would be fun to try.” 

Haewon, meanwhile, said: “Since the ‘Big wave’ part in “DICE” received a lot of love, I want to challenge myself with hip-hop.” 

Asked what NMIXX song they’d recommend to someone starting to get interested in their group, both Haewon and Bae answered “Tank.” 

“It gives a preview of the stages and music that NMIXX will unfold in the future,” Haewon said, while Bae explained that it’s a song that “represents the color of NMIXX well.” 

NMIXX debuted with seven members in February 2022. Jinni left the group in December that year, reportedly “due to personal circumstances.”

Glass Animals Will Embark on ‘Tour of Earth’ With 2024 Live Shows

Later this year, Glass Animals will bring their forthcoming studio album I Love You So F***ing Much on an international tour fittingly titled Glass Animals: Tour of Earth.

The record, which features the newly released single “Creatures in Heaven,” will arrive on July 19, while the tour is scheduled to kick off just under a month later. The band will be joined on the road by Kevin Abstract, Eyedress, Blondshell, and The Big Moon on select dates.

Tour of Earth begins on Aug. 7 in Charlotte, North Carolina, and will close out its North American run on Sept. 22 in Austin, Texas. Glass Animals will make stops at New York’s Madison Square Garden and Inglewood’s Kia Forum, in addition to performances in Philadelphia, Toronto, Cincinnati, Nashville, Phoenix, Raleigh, and more. The tour also includes two back-to-back shows at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado.

General sale for North America and Europe will begin on Thursday, April 11 at 10 a.m. local time via the official Glass Animals website. Presales will begin on Tuesday, April 9.

Liverpool will kick off their pre-season tour in the USA this summer with a game against Real Betis at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh on Friday July 26 (kick-off 7.30pm EST).

The Reds last met the Spanish outfit back in the autumn of 2005 in the group stage of the Champions League, when Rafael Benitez's defending champions won 2-1 away from home before a goalless draw at Anfield.

The club will return to the USA this summer for the first time since 2019 and matches have already been announced with Premier League rivals Arsenal and Manchester United.

The Arsenal game takes place on July 31 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia and will be followed by the encounter with United at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina on August 3.

A pre-sale code will be made available for the Real Betis fixture for LFC Official Members, season ticket holders, official LFC supporters clubs, hospitality members and international academies. This can be used to purchase tickets from 3pm BST/10am EST/7am PST on Wednesday April 10.

Tickets will go on general sale to the public from 2pm BST/9am EST/6am PST on Thursday April 11 via Ticketmaster.

Ben Latty, the club's commercial director, said: "Adding Pittsburgh to our pre-season tour schedule is a great way to start our eagerly anticipated return to the USA.

"We were delighted to quickly sell out our fixtures against Arsenal and Manchester United on this tour and are equally excited to be able to offer our supporters in the States another opportunity to see Liverpool FC play. Real Betis will come with a strong squad and it's going to be a great occasion in another iconic setting, in another fantastic US city."

The 2024 Masters Tournament will begin with the first round on Thursday, April 11. Nearly 90 golfers were invited to the annual event at Augusta National for 2024.

Invitee criteria changed between 2023 and 2024. This year, an NCAA Division I Men's Individual Champion earned a spot in the field (so long as he remains an amateur ahead of the tournament). Augusta National also accommodated the PGA Tour schedule changing to a calendar-year system by allowing winners of tour events last fall to qualify.

Despite growing its field of players, LIV Golf will have fewer participants in the 2024 Masters Tournament than in 2023 because the circuit doesn't award Official World Golf Ranking points.

In the end, 13 golfers from the LIV Golf circuit are set to compete in the Masters Tournament this year.

Containers being moved from ship to access the fallen Baltimore bridge's roadway

Recovery efforts at the site of the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse reached a "critical step" Sunday as crews began removing shipping containers from the vessel Dali.

Removal will allow them to access a key portion of the roadway, now perched above the containers on board the 980-foot, Singapore-flagged ship when it lost power and struck the bridge March 26.

“Removing containers allows for safe access to then remove the pieces of the Key Bridge that lie across the ship’s bow, taking weight off the ship and ultimately allowing for the movement of the ship," Key Bridge Response 2024 Unified Command said in a statement Sunday.

Unified Command is a cooperative of first responders, recovery crews, and agencies planning to redevelop the bridge and reopen the waterway. They include the U.S. Coast Guard, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and various state agencies, such as Maryland State Police.

The bodies of three of six roadway workers who were on the bridge when it collapsed have been recovered, and the other three are presumed dead.

Moving the ship is important, as it would allow authorities to reopen the port to at least some traffic, officials said.

"The removal of these containers is a critical step required to safely move the [Merchant Vessel] Dali and eventually fully re-open the Fort McHenry Channel," Key Bridge Response 2024 Unified Command said in a statement Sunday.

Removal was being done with a floating crane, Unified Command said. Images it released Sunday also showed a section of bridge support that was being removed.

Officials are under pressure to rebuild the bridge, which carried an average of 34,000 vehicles a day. On Thursday, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore said on the social media platform X , “We cannot rebuild the bridge until we clear the wreckage.” 

Another key goal is restoring traffic to the Port of Baltimore, essentially shuttered since the collision, with 32 vessels getting through since then via temporary, alternate channels, Unified Command said.

The port, the top destination for imported cars shipped to the United States, accommodated roughly 500 container arrivals a year in recent years, according to trade tracker Kpler.

The Corps of Engineers said last week that it hopes to open a one-way shipping lane in the port by the end of April via a channel 280 feet wide and 35 feet deep. It also announced a larger goal: restoring full port traffic by the end of May via what it described as a "700-foot-wide by 50-foot-deep federal navigation channel."

The bridge's collapse has blocked the Fort McHenry Channel and thus throttled nearly all traffic in and out of the port, though officials have found ways to move temporary traffic through the waterway.

The port exists where the Patapsco River meets the Chesapeake Bay.
